10 years later...

"Zonic "Zaurice" the Hedgehog."
Zonic, now fifteen, stepped up on stage as his name was called. Today was the day he was going to graduate and officially declared as a Zone Cop. And with the highest marks than anyone else in the either school, he wasn't just going to be another regular ranked Cop. He was going to be the greatest Zone Cop in history.

As he stood up on stage firmly with dignity, Zonic was presented with his graduation certificate and his badge. Not just any badge: an Elite Zone Cop badge. He shook the principal's hand before lining up with his schoolmates, his friends: Zespio and Zector. Unfortunately, they were the only ones who got credit marks for being a Zone Cop, Zamy and Zally got too low so they ended up being the computer guys. Um...gals.

Zonic sighed, realising something. He didn't hear Zhadow's name yet. Did his best friend not pass?

"Zhadow "Zerios" the Hedgehog."
Now he heard it, his bestie's name. He saw his best friend walk up on stage, be presented with his graduation certificate and his Zone Cop badge. No no, Elite Zone Cop badge. Zonic couldn't believe it, he and his best friends were both Elite Zone Cops. That means they are going to be...partners in battle.

It didn't seem like a bad thing to Zonic, as he had recently discovered his newfound feelings for his best friend. Maybe, now that they have both graduated and became Elite Zone Cops, he could finally confess and they could finally be together...more than just best friends.
