Jeffory's POV

We ran to the infirmary to see wounded guards, women, men, and children being treated for. Blood was everywhere. Those monsters! They showed no mercy! I thought as I looked at the wounded. Aphmau yelled "Cadenza!" I turned around to see Lord Cadenza in a bed bleeding from wounds. She was breathing very shallow. I walked up to her to see her more clearly which I wished I hadn't. She had cuts all over her, there was a deep gash in her chest, and her armor was ripped from so many sword slashes. "Cadenza! Stay with us! I don't want to lose you! Please!" Laurance said looking at his sister. "La-Lau-Laurance. Brother, you know that I'm going to die." Cadenza whispered looking at Laurance with pained and sadden eyes. "No! I can't lose another friend like I lost Aaron!" Aphmau yelled with tears running down her face and Katelyn was trying to calm her down but I saw tears in her eyes as well. Cadenza looked at Aphmau and said "A-Aphmau...I'm so happy to be your ally, citizen, and friend. You were so nice to me when I first moved to Phoenix Drop and I am grateful for that. And as for Meteli..." she turned her head to face the head guard, which he was crying, "I'm so happy to serve as Meteli's Lord. I declare you, (I forgot what his name was.) Alex, as Meteli's new lord. May Irene have mercy on you as you lead Meteli. Goodbye everyone...I love you all...my guards...my people...my friends...my family..." Cadenza said. She smiled as a tear went down her face and drew in her final breath. We all bowed our heads in honor. Laurance just walked out and I can't blame him. I walked over to Katelyn and Aphmau and Aphmau was mumbling to herself saying things like I can't believe she's dead or it's my fault. I asked Katelyn "Are you going to be alright?" "Y-yes." she said trying not to look weak. "It's okay to cry you know." I told her. She hugged me and cried in my chest while I said comforting things to her. I will protect her even if I die in the process! I don't know how Aphmau is going handle this...she was just getting over Aaron's death. I thought. "We'll start rebuilding from this horrible event. We will not be weak. We will not fall. We will raise from this! For Lord Cadenza's sake and for Irene's sake!" Alex yelled. "And we will help. The Phoenix Alliance will not fall! If you mess with one of us then you mess with all of us!" Aphmau yelled her eyes cleared and with anger and determination. Everyone cheered and clapped at the speech. They're right. We will not fall even if we lose many people! WE WILL RISE!
