"Rosepaw! Mistypaw! Dragonpaw!" The clan cheered the newest apprentices names out loud.

"It will be you next," Raggedwhisker purred to Lionkit, who was grumbling about it not being fair.

Ivykit yawned. She was still tired because she hadn't gotten much sleep last night. She listened to the new apprentices.

"Eek, Sunshine! When are we exploring the territory?" Rosepaw asked her mentor impatiently. 

"Your lucky to have a leader as your mentor." Dragonkit grumbled. His mentor was Barkmuzzle while Mistypaw's was Ivywing. The grey she cat had already led her out of camp to explore the territory.

"Wait! We have something else to say." Duskfall mewed. Sunshine nodded.

"Roarpaw had a vision," Duskfall began. The clan stood silent. Even the apprentices had shut up.

"The five cats who are taking part in Roar battle will be.." the two leaders exchanged glances.

"Hiders!" They chanted in union. The clan cheered as the five cats nervously padded out of camp.

"Good luck!"

"Come back soon!"

"We will miss you!" 

The clan howled their goodbyes. The leaders were discussing the new deputy to take Moonpetals place while she was gone. Sunshine cleared her throat. "Oakfall will be the new deputy."

The brown tabby tom stepped forward, dipping his head. "Thank you, leaders. I will do my best and protect this Clan until the last drop of my blood, or until Moonpetal comes back." He promised. The clan broke up into groups or pairs to congratulate him.

Ivykit sighed. "Mama, can you pleaseeeee take us outside? We wont be alone!" Lynxkit begged.

Raindrop muttered something under her breath. Finally, she spoke, " Okay, fine. Not further than Tall Tree."

With an excited bounce, Lynxkit followed her mother outside of camp.
