John, Paul, George and Ringo all got off of the bus.
"Have a nice night lads!" The bus driver called out to them as they left.
"You too Mr.Jones!" Ringo cheerfully called out to the bus driver.
What a kind kid Mr. Jones thought as he drove off.
The four lads all sat down in the booth that George and Ringo always sit in. John and Paul on one side and George and Ringo on the other.
"Lads my library card got stolen" Paul said as they were sitting down. "Who would steal a library card?" George asked confused.
"A homeless man stole mine once. I wasn't mad though because I thought he just wanted some books. But I found out he wanted it for other reasons." Ringo said.
"What were those reasons?" Paul asked.
"He wanted to start a protest against the library by taking all of the library cards. I think he was just high though." Ringo said and George and Paul laughed.
"But it doesn't make any sense. Why would someone take a library card." Paul said and John chuckled but tried to disguise it as a cough. Paul just looked at him weirdly.
"What was that John?" Paul asked suspicious of John.
"Oh I just have something in my throat yeah that's it." John said getting nervous.
"John you're a terrible liar. Did you take my library card?" Paul asked calmly.
"What! No I didn't!" John said getting defensive.
"You did! Give it back John!" Paul demanded. John laughed.
"It took you a week to figure it out!" John gave Paul his library card and everyone laughed.
The waitress took their orders. "Lads the manager wanted me to tell all the customers that after the storm that recently came the phone lines are out. The lightning must have struck something and so the phone lines here and for a couple of blocks are unusable. But miraculously the electricity if fine as you can see." And with their orders the waitress walked off. John and Paul went into their own little conversation and so did George and Ringo.
"So Ritchie did you ever get your library card back?" George asked Ringo. "No at that point he seemed so happy with the little thing so I let him keep it. But I got a new one the next week so I was fine." Ringo said smiling at the crazy memory.
"Hey Ritchie remember when we went to the library together and we were having fun but there was that nasty librarian." George said started to laugh.
"Yeah and we got mad at her so we rearranged all the books!" Ringo giggled.
"And we left like we did nothing!" George smiled and they both laughed.
Soon the food came and the four lads all started to dig in their food. As Ringo was eating he saw something out of the corner of his eye. He looked out of the window and squinted. Outside in the dark night was a man. He was in the parking lot across the street. No people or cars were there just that man.
Upon further inspection Ringo noticed that the man was distraught. He was stumbling around looking for something or someone. He shouldn't be outside by himself this late at night. What if he needs help? Ringo couldn't watch the man any longer without doing something.
"Lads I have to use the bathroom. I'll be right back." Ringo said and got out of the booth.
"And George no eating my food. John and Paul stop him if he does." George looked shocked. "I would never eat your food!" Everyone else just laughed but George just sat there confused.
"I don't understand what's so funny"
Ringo went outside through the back. Ringo honestly didn't know why he was going alone. Maybe he just wanted to be independent.
When Ringo crossed the street he noticed something shocking. The man wasn't just any man he was Rory Storm. Ringo also noticed that he was heavily drunk.
Should he turn back? Should he leave him alone? No. Ringo couldn't just stand by if Rory was in a very dangerous state. Ringo had to help Rory even if he hated him with everything he had.
Ringo walked over to Rory but Rory's back was turned.
"Rory?" Ringo asked warily. Rory turned around and gave Ringo a very disgusted look.
"Rory are you okay?" Rory stepped toward Ringo with a malicious grin.
"I-I came to help y-you" Ringo stuttered.
Rory didn't say anything he just glared at the drummer.
Ringo was too scared. He didn't care about Rory anymore he was just scared. Ringo turned around and started to walk away.
Suddenly Ringo felt a tight grip on his shoulder. Rory's dirty hand was on Ringo's shoulder preventing him from leaving. Rory's grip was so tight that Ringo let out a little cry of pain.
"Where are you going Richard? I haven't seen you in forever! Come and stay with me!" Rory slurred.
Ringo pushed Rory's hand off of his shoulder and turned around. Rory had a smile on his face but his eyes were filled with hatred.
Ringo had to get out of there fast. He started to walk away but Rory quickly stepped in front of him.
"Ringo I wouldn't walk away if I were you. You have made me very angry and resentful" Rory slurred losing his happy demeanor.
Ringo didn't know what to do. He couldn't stay there. But he couldn't walk away either.
"Um Rory I-I'm sorry I uh made you upset." Ringo muttered.
"Yeah well sorry doesn't cut it" Rory glared viciously at the drummer.
"God Richard don't you ever learn!"
Ringo stared at Rory.
"Ringo the world would just be better without you ever existing!" Rory screamed into Ringo's face.
Ringo should of felt sad and insecure of Rory's words. But he wasn't he was angry.
"Get away from me" Ringo said calmly and started to walk off.
In a split second Rory pushed Ringo straight onto the ground. Ringo fell and groaned from the impact. Ringo quickly stood up and tried to run away this time.
Rory grabbed the collar of Ringo's shirt and yanked him backwards. Ringo managed to keep his balance and didn't fall. That only made Rory angrier.
Rory grabbed Ringo's shoulder and punched him directly in the nose. Ringo quickly noticed that Rory had rings on his fingers causing the punch to hurt more than it should.
Ringo also noticed that the one day he didn't wear his own rings this happens.
Rory punched Ringo once more in the nose and he started to yell out in pain. The pain felt like someone dropped a brick on your poor little face. It didn't help that the rings deeply scratched his face with each punch. The rings caused each scratch it made to ooze out crimson blood.
Rory must have been satisfied with his face because he punched Ringo right in the stomach.
Ringo screamed out in pain and fell straight to the ground clutching his stomach.
Because Ringo's hand were around his stomach Rory saw an opportunity. Rory started to violently kick Ringo in the head. Each kick stronger and more painful than the last.
Sobs erupted from Ringo's mouth. He shrieked and screamed for help.
The pain was unbearable. Just pass out! Ringo screamed inside his head. If he past out then he won't feel the horrible pain anymore.
Just pass out!
But he didn't. He couldn't. His body was in too much shock.
Tears were streaming from his eyes covering his face along with the blood.
I can't die. Not like this. Not from him. Ringo somehow found the strength to remove his arms from his stomach and put them on his head protecting it from the kicking.
Rory stopped kicking his head and started to kick his stomach and chest. Ringo tried to scream for help but with the force on his lungs he was struggling to breath let alone scream.
Ringo gave one last cry of help before he gave up completely. He just lied there helpless waiting to pass out while Rory mercilessly hurt him.
Back at the diner John and Paul were busy arguing with who was going to pay the bill.
"I payed last time!" John argued.
"You still owe me for taking my library card!" Paul continued to argue.
George just sat there bored.
George looked at Ringo's untouched food and then he poked at it. It was ice cold. George started to get worried. Ringo was in the bathroom for a long time. Is he alright? Is he sick? Did he leave? George's mind was flooded with thoughts.
George rubbed his hands on his face and sighed. Ritchie were are you? George couldn't take it anymore. He got out of his seat and without a word to John or Paul went to the bathroom to look for Ringo.
"Ritchie are you in here?" George asked once he reached the bathroom. No reply. George walked to each stall and pushed each door open.
When he got to the last door he took a deep breath and pushed it open.
Nothing.
George panicked. Oh my God he isn't in here! Where did he go?! Is he okay?!
George ran out of the bathroom looking for an employee. He quickly found the waitress that served them earlier.
"Do you know where a young man went? He has brown hair, a pretty big nose, and bright blue eyes." George said very quickly and panicked.
She nodded and said. "He went out that backdoor and I saw him go into the parking lot across the street."
George thanked the waitress and ran toward one of the windows.
What he saw gave him a tiny heart attack. George gasped in horror at the sight and sprinted to John and Paul. George got yelled at for running around but that was the least of his worries.
George ran up to the table with tears in his eyes. He was obviously distressed. John and Paul stopped arguing and looked at the upset man in front of them.
"George buddy calm down and tell us what's happening" John said calmly.
George took a deep breath. "Ringo is in trouble! We have to go! He could be seriously injured! Look!" George pointed at the window.
John and Paul turned their heads from George to the window and gasped. "Oh Sh*t " John muttered.
The John and George ran out of the diner and into the parking lot to help their friend.
John got there first. Rory didn't notice at all until John punched Rory right in the mouth. Rory stumbled back and stopped beating Ringo up. Rory gained his balance and lifted his hand to his mouth. His hand had the same crimson that Ringo had.
Rory growled and tried to throw a punch at John but he grabbed his fist before it could make contact. John grabbed his wrist and twisted it and Rory screamed in pain. John was getting what he wanted.
John was kicking Rory's ass.
Paul stayed inside trying to find a doctor or basically anybody that could help. He couldn't call an ambulance because the phone lines were down. He tried asking people for a ride to the hospital but no one would even look in his direction.
When John punched Rory and got him away from Ringo, George ran over to his side and sat by him. Ringo was clutching his stomach in pain and he had bruises covering his soft skin. Ringo's face was a mess of cuts, a black eye, blood and tears. George almost broke down at the sight but he knew he couldn't. He had to be strong for Ringo because after all George was the strongest person Ringo knew.
George rolled Ringo onto his back. What do I do? What do I do? What do I do? George was panicking and heavily breathing. What the hell do I do?!
"Geo?" Ringo sputterd. George had tears in his eyes.
"Its me Ritchie. It's me" George said with sad smile.
"It hurts Geo. It hurts" Ringo's hoarse voice cracked. "I want to go home"
George couldn't find any words to say so he just held Ringo's hand. Ringo started to cry silently with a steady flow of tears. This was the first time George saw Ringo cry and George hated that. The first time should of been tears of joy.
Soon the little tears turned into violent sobs. "It hurts so much" Ringo sputtered between sobs.
At that moment George knew what he had to do. It was quite simple. All he had to do was be there for him.
George held Ringo's body and started to rock him back and forth trying to calm him down. Then he started to softly sing
You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are grey
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take my
Sunshine away.
Ringo's sobs started to die down after George started to sing. His sobs turned into sniffles. But George saw a stray tear escaping but he wyped it away.
"I'm proud of you no matter what. Don't forget that. Ever."
Lol I'm not even sorry. And the angst isn't even over so...
I was going to sign off with hope you enjoyed but that would be inappropriate so
Hope you had a traumatic time♡
