Lucas, Dustin, Mike, Will, and (Y/n) were the five amigos/amiga you couldn't separate. Sure, when Max came along the group shifted a smidge but she was still never really apart of the party according to you and Mike.

As you say in Mike's living room, talking about this current situation with the Demogorgon and Will going missing.

"So, you're telling me that a girl knows where Will is and how to get him back?" Mike nods ecstatically. "Yeah, her name is Eleven but we call her El for short." Sighing, you rest your arm on the couch. "So, where is this 'El'?" You ask him.

As Mike explains, the front door opens revealing Nancy and Steve, her boyfriend.

"(Y/n)? Hello...? (Y/n)!" Milke exclaims as you, snapping you out of your thoughts. "W-Who's that?" You point at the older male who was now walking upstairs with Nancy.

Mike groans. "Steve. Nancy's boyfriend..." He sighs, rolling his eyes. You slouch in your seat. "So he's taken... rats." The dark-haired boy looked at you in disgust. "Ugh, ew! (Y/n), he's in high school!" He claims. You roll your eyes. "And?"

"And that's gross!"

"Please, grow up Mike."

Ever since you saw Steve over at Mike's House, you couldn't stop thinking about Steve.

When Nancy broke up with Steve, your crush on him grew even more. It was so bad, that even the whole party found out about your crush.

"Honestly, (Y/n)," Dustin starts. "You better get over this crush soon. Steve is never going to like you." You scoff, rolling your eyes. "Can't a girl dream? You guys suck." Max snickers.

"(Y/n), the boys have a point. Steve is going to college in just a couple months!"

"So? That means I have a couple months to—"

"Hey, dipshits!" Steve exclaims to the four of you. "Why am I the only one trying to save us from the demo-Things?" Lucas rolls his eyes. "Demo-dogs! Jeez, how hard is it to remember the words demo and dogs!?" He exclaims as he gets out from the car you four were hiding behind.

"Oh shut it, Lucas," Steve said.

"Now we play the waiting game." You smile sitting down next to Dustin. "For Steve to like you or for the demo-dogs?" You glare at him. "Both."

Steve came back from checking on Lucas and Max. "Alright, the bait and stuff is set. All we have to do is—"

"Demo-dogs, three o'clock!!" Max exclaims, climbing down the ladder.

*cue scene where Steve fights the demo-dogs*

"Open the door!! Open the door!!" Steve exclaims running over. You guys open the door and run to the back of the bus.

Steve follows after closing the door. "We should be—"

BAMM! Demo-dog jumped through the roof!

"Ahh!"

"Guys, get behind me!!" Steve says. "We already are!" Dustin exclaims. Steve sighs and pushes you back, further behind. "Okay, whatever you do, don't move." He said gripping his bat.

"So, you just want us to die?" You ask. Steve sighs. "No... I want you to be safe." You smile. "Sounds good to me." Dustin, Lucas, and Max exchange looks. "Is she for real?" Max asks.

Lucas sighs. "Sadly."

Steve and (Y/n) glare at them. "What now?"

The three look at them. "Nothing!"

Rolling your eyes, you both turn back to the demo-dog who was now approaching you. Just before it attacked, it paused. As if his Mom called him for dinner. He ran away along with the other demo-dogs and were soon out of sight.

"Wow." You said breathlessly. Steve looked at you. "Wow what?" 

"Wow we almost got killed is what!" He chuckles. "Yeah, true that." The five of you exit out of the bus and start heading towards Dustin's place. Lucas, Dustin, and Max were up ahead talking about something as you and Steve were in the back.

"So, Dustin said something particular to me earlier." Steve starts. You look up at him. "Oh yeah?" He nods. "Yeah... He said you have a crush on me?" He said uncertainly. You sigh, now turning your focus to your shoes. "Is it true?" He asked, putting a hand on your shoulder.

"I mean, kinda." You turn to him, still looking at your shoes. "Hey, look at me." He said in a soothing tone. You shake your head. "Why? So I can look at you in total embarrassment?" Steve sighs before crouching down to your head and lifting your chin up so you could face him. 

"Hey, it's okay. Love is a scary thing. Sometimes it's beautiful, sometimes it's shitty..." (@ Nancy).  "And sometimes it's weird." You nod. "I guess."

"But, you do understand I can't be with you right?" 

"Yes, I understand we could never become an item."

It was now the Snowball. You and Dustin tried asking out some people if they wanted to dance and they all said no... 

The two of you clinked your cups of punch and took a sip before turning to the front. There stood Nancy and Steve. "Oh what? Are you back together now? I'm guessing you came here to gloat." You said. Nancy chuckled. "Actually, no. We came to dance."

"You two together?" 

Dustin groaned. "(Y/n), don't you get it? They're going to dance with us!" He said excitedly. You coughed and almost choked on your punch. "Are serious you?!" You said to Steve who chuckled. "Hell yeah." He held out his hand. You held his hand as he dragged you to the dance floor.

Will saw you two from across the room and gave you a thumbs up. You smiled at him and looked at Steve. 

"Is this even real life?" You laughed out. Steve nods. "I guarantee this is real." 

"Even though I'm too young to be with you?"

"Yes, even though you're younger."
