~NAMJOON POV~

When I approached the alphas office, I paused mid knock as I heard two male voices on the other end arguing.

"You can't do this!! What about Anna?!"

"Don't talk to me about my daughter! This is for her and you fucking know it so don't question my decisions again!!"

I knocked on the door and the voices suddenly became quiet and the door soon opened to reveal Johnathan, the packs beta. He only glanced at me once, bowing his head to angrily glare at the floor and push the door open to allow me to enter.

"Thank you."

I said to him trying to remain professional about this even if I wanted to ask him a bunch a questions, it wasn't my place to ask. He's not my beta.

"Ah Namjoon, right on time. Thank you for meeting me on such short notice."

I nodded, walking in further to take a seat when the alpha before me gestured to take a seat in front of his desk.

"It's no problem Mr Park. What can I help you with?"

The much older man nods and sits down on his large chairs, leaning back to cross his arms over his chest while behind me I heard Johnathan close the door and stomp back over to stand behind his alpha, just looking as pissed as ever.

"As you know the midnight pack have become bothersome for all of us. Especially you and I when it comes to the females we love the most." Mr Park

I nodded because I understood from my part but not froth his.

"Yes they're after my mate."

I stated and he nods with a more sympathetic look on his face.

"Yes I know and I'm sorry about that. They too are after my daughter, Anna." Mr Park

"They're trying to kill her too after the death of your son?"

Mr park pressed his lips together to gaze towards a picture frame on his desk.

"No not kill her. Hyunwoo wishes to mate with her, to join our packs together as one. He sent a request at first but I denied it over and over again. That man won't take no for an answer but now he's threatening to take her by force and I am an old man now so it's harder to protect my people." Mr Park

I could imagine that. Usually by now the alphas son takes over to he alpha or at least the daughters mate if she had one but Anna doesn't have one yet and sadly his son is dead.

"I'm very sorry for that sir. We can form a strong alliance if that is what you wish. I can forward more of my people to come and stay by your borders to help you. I'm sorry there's not much I can do for you."

I felt really bad about it. I really did.

"I appreciate that young man. I do. The originally plan was in hopes to have you and my daughter mated in that way an alliance would be stronger between our packs but I know of your mate and I wouldn't like to push my daughter onto you like that." Mr park

"Thank you sir."

He nods to himself and then looks up to his beta, offering him a weak smile and then pats the mans arm when he refused to look at him.

"You see Namjoon, now that I have no heir, my mate has passed on herself and Anna has not found her mate yet I have come to desperate times to be sure my people and daughter are safe." Mr park

I squinted my eyes at him, leaning back in this chair I'm sitting on.

"You're a very strong, wise and well mannered young man for an alpha of your age. I myself was very selfish in some of my duties until I met my mate but you? You never changed before you met your mate to now. Not to mention I've heard good things about y/n. She'll be a great Luna to be by your side to lead your pack." Mr Park

"Where is this going Mr Park?"

I had to know. Where was all this coming from?

The man just chuckled amusingly but Johnathan scoffed at him, crossing his arms over his chest to scowl at his alpha. But Mr park ignored it and calmly remained to stare back at me.

"I have a request for you and I really hope you accept this offer it would benefit both our packs and join them together without asking you to mate with my daughter." Mr park

I still don't like the way this conversation is going.

"Okay?"

"Kim Namjoon, I must ask if you would do the honours of ending my life?" Mr Park

My eyes widen, stunned to this sudden request. I mean I've killed wolves like myself before but that's under certain circumstances but not like this.

"Erm....I.....I'm sorry could you repeat that?"

"Could you end my life Namjoon?" Mr Park

Johnathan scoffed once more, a low growl coming from him before he suddenly stomped out the room. I didn't follow his movements but listened to the door slam shut while I try to process this in my mind.

"Are you serious sir? What about Anna? Johnathan? Clearly he's not happy about this decision you've suddenly come to make."

Pointing to the door behind me I was still shocked to this.

"Johnathan of course isn't happy but he has no say in this. I've thought about it long and hard and let's face it Namjoon, I'm an old man. I can't stay alpha forever. I've lived my life and this is what I can do to save my daughter to the grasp of hyunwoo. You're my last hope in all this." Mr park

"But it's a lot to ask of me sir. Like a lot. I've never killed an innocent before."

He nods understanding what I'm saying. To kill an wolf that's innocent in your mind can do damage to an alphas mental health if not careful. But if I do this, I know I have y/n by my side.

"Yes I know that but since you have your mate I'm sure she'll take care of you after. Just please consider this Namjoon. You kill me, you get my strength and power over my pack. You'll be alpha to two packs and much stronger than Hyunwoo and not to mention you'll have what he wants." Mr park

That's very true. There is benefits to this but also consequences which could turn out bad.

"What is the deadline to make such a decision?"

The man smiles to see that I'm actually considering this and again leans back calmly.

"Before the end of the week preferably. That way we can do this before you have to return home." Mr Park

I nodded, fiddling with my fingers and then pushed up my glasses from falling off my face. I don't know if I can do it or if I want to. Y/n name and face popped up in my mind.

"Could I get back to you on that? I'd like to talk to y/n about this first."

Mr Park smiled widely as if my words have given him great happiness.

"Of course. A great Alpha always seeks out advice in his Luna no matter the situation. By all means you can go speak to her now if that's what you wish?" Mr park

I nodded, standing up from my chair.

"Thank you, I'll get back to you as soon as I can."

He nods back at me, also standing up from his chair just to come around his desk and shake my hand eagerly.

"Thank you for even considering this Namjoon. I know it's a lot for me to even request this of you but it's your decision." Mr Park

We parted and I quickly get tried to calmly make my way out his office holding my head high. Closing the door behind me I felt like I could finally breath, loosening my tie around my neck and taking a deep breath.

I hope y/n is still in the bedroom. I just need my mate right now.
