..."Merlok! Nexooooo Knight!" Clay shouted to the sky. But even their Nexo Powers weren't enough to stop Jestro's army.

"Did Jestro feed his monsters soda or something? Because its like they're super charged!" Robin called to me.

Despite the fact that we were in the midst off an intense battle, I laughed. Robin somehow always knew how to cheer me up.... and that was one of the many reasons I liked him.
He could be so optimistic, inventive, and he is a clever engineer. But those green eyes... and his blond hair....I just want to run my fingers through it-

BAM! I was knocked flying. The Knights had finally let us fight alongside them today, but because I wasn't paying attention, I had now become easy target for (super charged) monsters.

This was not good.

The one who had hit me was a tall, dark monster with two orange horns protruding from his head and a single, yellow and orange bulging eye. Glowing Lava carved intricate lines across his torso. I think his name was Sparks.

"Um...hi," I said. I couldn't think of what else to say.

He raised his fist, ready to smash it down upon me. I closed my eyes, and braced myself for the impact.

But it never came.

Instead, all I heard were some grunts of effort. I opened my eyes to see Robin crouched heroically above me, pushing Sparks' fist back with his shield.

"Robin?"

"Don't... worry...Ava," Robin panted. "You're...safe."

I rolled out from under my crush and got to my feet. I yanked Robin out of the way, as I could see that he couldn't take Sparks' force much longer.

A few hours later, we finally gave the monsters the beat down they deserved. Robin and I were in the control room, just talking.

"Hey....thanks for saving me back there," I touched his shoulder. "I can't really thank you enough."

Robin blushed and put his hand behind his head. "It...it was nothing," he said modestly. "And thanks for getting me outta there...just in time, I admit."

He hopped from foot to foot anxiously. "Ava..." he began. "Can I tell you somethi-"

But he never got to finish his sentence because of the kiss I gave him. When I pulled back, Robin kissed me this time.

"Never mind," he said, and smiled that smile at me.
