Chapter 2
Davy and Peter were playing a game of chess, whilst Micky was watching TV.
"Hey, Dave," Micky yelled to Davy with unnecessarily volume "What are we having for dinner?"
"Oh, I don't know. I thought maybe we'd go out to a restaurant, to save us cooking," Davy replied, not looking up from the chess board.
"Well, just make sure we don't go to another Chinese restaurant or Peter will do something stupid and get us into trouble." Micky said, half joking, as he recalled some bad memories "Last time, he almost got me killed!"
Peter didn't see the joke and started sniffing.
"Micky, shut up..." Davy noticed Peter's face and tried to warn Micky, but Micky carried on.
"Yeah, we all almost died, because of our 'friend' Peter," Micky continued teasing, having not noticed Peter's face, and Davy's warning egging him on.
"Uh-oh." Davy said, as Peter sniffled more, his lips trembling, until he finally started crying.
"Micky, look what you did!" Davy yelled at Micky as Peter started wailing. Micky, slightly scared at what he did, went over to Peter, and patted him on the back.
"Don't cry, Peter, I was only joking," Micky tried to comfort him as Peter hugged him and started crying on his shoulder "It wasn't your fault."
"Really?" Peter looked up through red eyes, still sniffing loudly and allowing a few tears to escape and roll down his face onto Micky's poncho.
"Yeah, I didn't mean what I said. I was just teasing you, I forgot how sensitive you are. I'm sorry." Micky smiled sheepishly at Peter.
"It's okay Micky, I forgive you." Peter hugged the drummer tighter and Micky returned the bassist a hug and sighed in relief.
"Hey, fellas, do you wanna go to a restaurant now?" suggested Davy, anxious to change the subject now that Micky was forgiven and Peter wasn't crying.
Both boys nodded.
"Okay then, I'll get my coat." Davy grabbed it and they went out the pad.
