Chapter:8
Sasuke Pov.
As I walked into the front door of the house, the clock on the wall read 10:45pm. The flashing bright light from the tv in the living room notified me that everyone wasn't sound asleep yet. As I rounded the hallway corner leading into the living room, [f/n] head rested in Itachi lap sound asleep, the rest of her body stretched out along the couch. Itachi draped a arm over her torso, the other clutching the tv remote. I stole a glance at tonight's entertainment, The back of a zombie head exploded as Rick fired a bullet from his colt python. I looked away just as the scene panned out towards a hoard of walkers. I was still a season behind, no need to spoil it for myself.
I was in the middle of enjoying watching [f/n] sleep peacefully, when itachi carefully scooped her up. She shifted and let out a cute moan from the disturbance. But she remained asleep.
"I'm gonna take [f/n] upstairs. Then afterwards we need to have a little talk."
He said seriously, before exiting the room.
"Hmm...I wonder what he wants to talk about?"
My bad subconscious asked completely dumbfounded, scratching the back of his head.
"Idk...maybe the fact we slept with his wife, has something to do with it,"
I told him in irritation.
"Don't be silly, he probably just wants you to do something with that annoying wife of yours or more rent money,"
he mused, regarding me speculatively.
"You have to confess your sins to both of them,"
My good subconscious stated, appearing behind my bad subconscious.
"Holy shit!"
My bad subconscious yelled, spinning around to greet him.
"Didn't your momma ever tell you not to go sneaking up on people with a face like that? Seriously Dude, I almost shit myself."
My bad subconscious hissed, with a well placed hand over his heart.
"I'm sorry for scaring you, but I don't understand your criticism. We both look identical, do we not?"
My good subconscious asked, truly curious.
My bad subconscious planted a hand on his face shoving him back out of sight.
"In your dreams ugly."
Itachi entered the living room again, empty handed this time thou. I wanted to put my two cents in on the situation before things got heated and neither one of us could be reasoned with, but before a single word could be uttered, he handed me a folded up letter.
"What's this?"
I questioned defensively, trying to keep my voice to a all time low.
He took a seat on the arm of the couch a couple feet away.
"That is the result of your little trick from luring
[f/n] outside of Konoha."
His voice was hard. He didn't look at me while he spoke. I opened the letter, reading the contents inside.
I crumpled the paper, not caring if it had any importance left after I got done reading.
"What does this have to do with [f/n]?"
I demanded, raising my voice a little louder than I should.
Sakura Pov.
I yawned, rubbing the sleepiness away from my eyes with closed fist. I woke up with cotton mouth and really needed a bottle of water. I snatched opened the refrigerator door peering into the bright box, finally claiming a cold bottle of water before swinging the door closed again. I had just twisted the top off and was in mid swig mode, when I heard Sasuke voice. I felt myself go all school girl happy at the sound of him. I forgot about the water bottle, setting it aside as I hurried to my Sasuke. I was inches from the living room doorway when I heard [f/n] name leave Sasuke lips in a harsh tone. I came to a grinding stop, not wanting to interrupt his ongoing conversation. I pressed my back tightly against the wall pointing my ear in the direction of the living room, straining to listen in. "Who was Sasuke talking to and why did he mention [f/n]? I pondered.
"The Anbu may not know why those ninjas are hanging around outside the village, but I do. Their looking for [f/n]. Someone must have spotted her leaving the village or entering."
I immediately recognized Itachi voice. It was cut forward and straight to the point like usual.
Even though Itachi was normally quite and distant, he was still nice to look at. The rare mornings we would find each other eating breakfast together, I found myself imagining what it would be like to be married to him, but in the end I had Sasuke.
"What do they want?"
My Sasuke asked. I had to catch myself from storming out of my hiding spot and blurting out "Why the hell do you wanna know?"
"If I had to guess....probably what they started all those years ago."
I tried to remember back if I could ever recall a traumatic event with [f/n], but my mind kept coming up blank. The sound of Sasuke voice shattered my thoughts.
"I really don't care why their here. I'll hunt them all down before I let them lay one finger on her."
"What!"
I screamed in my head, as pain started to swell up in my chest. "What do you mean by that Sasuke?" I asked myself a hundred times.
"There no need for that. They wouldn't dare enter the village and as long as [f/n] stays put she'll be fine. It's only a matter of time before the Anbu disposes of them."
I heard Sasuke let out a sigh of relief, before speaking again.
"I think we should talk about what happened with me and [f/n]."
That was it. Those very words that ended up causing me to do the super terrible thing I end up doing.
"Not now. I'm tired."
I heard Itachi complain in a exhausting voice, as he slowly approached, but did a slight pause.
"Just remember one thing Sasuke, she's my wife."
"For now maybe."
Sasuke replied back in a menacing tone.
But as those words came out of Sasuke mouth, I literally swallowed my heart, choking on it. I couldn't breath, the pain was to much to bare. I heard Itachi approaching again and managed to scurry into a nearby empty room. As I watched him pass by in the dim lighted hallway from my new hiding place, the pain was quickly replaced with rage. I trusted her, opened up to her. How does she repay me. By sleeping with MY husband. I knew if I pressured Sasuke on the subject he would only push me away more and I couldn't risk losing him. But as long as [f/n] was in the picture, he would slowly grow more distant with time.
I needed to get rid of her. Suddenly a light bulb went off in my head, reminding me of their conversation about the ninjas looking for her.
I rolled the idea around in my head for a couple minutes, before deciding that it would work. Now to figure out a way to lure [f/n] outside the village willingly and alone. My face twisted with frustration as I tried to come up with something. Finally it came to me.
"Shisui"
I whispered to myself softly as I felt the darkness within me start to brew.
