Four months later.

Gray POV

We walked together towards the guild. Natsu was feeling well today. He always had his hand on his belly. I found it cute. When we got in the guild we immediately got to a seat. Natsu was nowadays exhausted after a small walk. "What can I get you honey?" I asked him.

He was resting in his seat and then he answered "I want spicy ice cream." I sweat dropped. I got used to all the weird eating habits from Natsu. So I got him his spicy ice cream.

Suddenly Master screamed "Erza, Gray, Lucy and Gajeel come immediately towards my office." I looked towards the master and looked towards Natsu. He nodded. "Gray, Master calls you I can handle myself just fine." "Okay, be careful." Wendy walked towards Natsu. "Don't worry Gray-san I will keep Natsu-san company." She sat next to Natsu. They both smiled. I sighed but walked towards the office.

"I asked you all in for an important request. They specifically asked for team Natsu." "Master we can't take Natsu with us." Erza stated. "I know that Erza, that's why Gajeel will replace him, because they need a dragonslayer. I can't send Wendy with you guys as well because of Natsu's pregnancy." I was so glad he took that decision. "I'm okay with that Master he he. When will we leave?" Gajeel asked. I hated that I had to leave Natsu though.

"You'll leave as soon as possible, so right after this conversation. So Gray explain to Natsu why you need to leave today." "I will Gramps." "I will explain the details of the mission to Erza. The rest of you need to pack your things and leave immediately." "Aye sir." We all replied.

So I left the office and walked towards Natsu. "Honey, we need to go on an emergency mission. You are not allowed to go with us, so is Wendy." They both looked towards me. "I understand Gray, please be careful." "Also Wendy-chan will you please take care of him while I'm gone." "I will Gray-san." I kissed Natsu on his lips, it was a passionate kiss full of love. I was worried something will happen to him while I'm gone. "Take care Natsu, please be careful." He nodded. Then I left.

Natsu POV

Then Gray left the guild, and I knew that he would immediately leave towards the train station. I expected this. I mean I heard every word that was said in Master's office. But I didn't like it that Gray had to leave. I was glad though that Wendy is going to stay with me. "Wendy get your stuff so you can sleep at my place. I will leave already towards my house. Okay?"

"Natsu-san I don't want you to leave alone though." I wished I didn't said the next thing I said. "It's okay I won't leave alone right Happy?" "Aye sir." I wish that I waited for Wendy, but I'm stubborn and stupid.

We left together, I mean Happy and I. I was getting a little bit nervous. But I thought I can take care of myself right. O right I can't because of the baby. I'm so stupid. Just midway towards my home the punks from months ago showed up. Shit. Why did Gray had to leave now? I thought.

"Salamander, you're finally alone." I took a fighting stance, I know I can't protect myself properly without using magic, but I can't lose either. I whispered towards Happy "Get someone from the guild immediately, I will try to run towards the forest. Hurry."

Happy flew as fast as he could back. I hope he is back just on time. "So where is your over protective boyfriend? Fag!" The punks screamed. I didn't even knew what I did to get them upset. They were definitely angry I could tell that. "You even got fatter Salamander, you fag pussy!" I was ready to run away as soon they would come at me. But I knew I wouldn't last long running.

They tried to hit me and I ran. I ran as fast as I could, the pregnancy was holding me back. I got towards the forest but the punks were very close by. Shit. Where is Happy? But before I could get any further, one of the punks hit my head hard. Shit I fell on the ground. I was holding my belly, so I tried not to fall on it. I fell sideways.

They all surrounded me. One hit with his foot in my belly. Shit.. I made myself curl up as a small ball so they could only hit my back or head. They didn't stop, hitting me though. I knew I was bleeding. I need to get away from here. They paused for a minute.. "I'm sorry Gray and baby." I inhaled and did a fire roar. They all screamed.

After my attack I ran as fast as I could. Blood was running down my forehead. I need to get away. I heard screaming and shouting after me. My vision was getting blurry. Shit.. please survive baby. I caressed my belly. "I'm sorry Gray." After that my vision was black and I collapsed.

Happy POV
Why did Gray have to leave, why did Natsu leave alone? Argh.. I need to get to the guild as soon as I can. When I saw the guild I was glad. I flew inside and screamed "Somebody help, Natsu is in trouble!" All eyes were on me.

"Happy show me the way!" Laxus yelled. "Aye sir." When we got to the door, Wendy just opened the door. "Wendy come with us now, it's Natsu!" Laxus yelled towards her. She paled and immediately ran with us. Please be okay Natsu.

Laxus POV
Happy came inside the guild all panicked and screaming that something was wrong with Natsu. Shit. Why did this have to happen? Why do I have a bad feeling about this? Why did Gray had to leave now? Where is Wendy? Argh. So many questions. I need to hurry I need to do something. So I ran together with Happy towards Natsu, I was glad Wendy was at the door when we left, we probably need her healing power.

When we got in the forest, I heard screaming. It was Natsu. Shit. We ran towards the sound and then we heard a roar, no please don't tell me Natsu used his roar. After a while we got to an area where the trees and everything was burned. Shit it was Natsu his roar after all.

But we saw at the same time that some punks were lying around, all with burn marks on their bodies. I grabbed one at his shirt. "Where is Natsu?" "Y-you mean that pink haired fag?" I got angry how dared they. "Where is he!?" I yelled. I was covered with electricity. "SPEAK!" He got frightened. "Well he went that way." He pointed onwards in the forest.

"If something happened to him I will kill you all." I told him. After that I dropped him harsh on the floor. "We have to hurry." Happy and Wendy just nodded. We ran the way that punk pointed. Then I spotted some pink.

We ran towards the place. There he laid on the ground breathing hard. He was surrounded by blood. Wendy used her magic. "Laxus we need to get him to the guild as soon as possible!" I carried Natsu. "Happy-san get Porlusica to the guild." Wendy told Happy. He flew away.

Wendy and I ran towards the guild. Please Natsu be okay. He was breathing hard, his face was covered in blood and bruises. When we entered the guild I screamed "Mira we need help in the infirmary now, and make sure Jet will get Porlusica here quicker." Mira nodded and walked with us towards the infirmary.

Wendy did her magic on Natsu. "Shit why didn't I come with him." She spoked. I never heard her curse before.

Then Porlusica came inside. "What happened to him?" she asked. "He got attacked by some punks." The master who was also listening was anger. "Gramps you have to send someone who will deal with those punks. I can but I want to stay here." "I understand Laxus I will send some team to deal with them." So the master left for a moment yelled at the guild and came back.

They were so busy with Natsu I was hoping that he was okay and the baby as well. "Gramps do we need to inform Gray and the team?" "I will after I know if he will make it through this."

Wendy and Porlusica were so busy with healing Natsu. I was worried one of them wouldn't make it. But more afraid that if one of them wouldn't make it Wendy would blame herself. Even Gray for not being here.

Wendy POV
I ran with Laxus-san and Happy-san into the forest after that I heard something was wrong with Natsu-san. Why did he convince me to leave early alone? Shit I'm so stupid. When we finally found Natsu-san he didn't look good. His face was covered in blood, he had bruises everywhere but mostly on his head and back. Probably because he protected the baby.

When I used my magic I discovered something I was afraid of would happen. Natsu-san was extremely low on magic, caused by using magic. If we don't help him now he will die. But he used it so he wouldn't get killed by the punks. Shit we were all naïve. I screamed towards Laxus-san that we had to bring Natsu to the guild as soon as possible. I even yelled to Happy-san to get Porlusica. I hope we are on time.

When we arrived in the guild I let my magic do the trick. Not long after that Porlusica showed up. All concerned. She helped me with Natsu-san. She looked at me with worried eyes. She is thinking the same I guess. Laxus-san and Master were both looking at us with hopeful but worried eyes. But we couldn't get Natsu's magic level any higher.

I got an idea. "Porlusica, is it an idea to let Laxus-san give him some magic?" Laxus looked at me with big eyes. "Wendy, me? Why me?" "Child, I think that might work." Porlusica responded to me. "Laxus-san help us. He is low on magic and he already used your magic once before. So he is able to do again." Laxus-san nodded.

Laxus walked towards us, we didn't stop healing him though. Laxus looked insecure. "What do I have to do Wendy?" "Just hold his hand and share your magic with him. I don't know for how long, but as long as possible okay?" He just nodded and started his magic.

Natsu-san was covered with electrity. "Wendy you need protect the baby. The baby can't get in touch with the magic Laxus is giving." I nodded. Laxus tried to direct his magic not towards Natsu-san his belly. I protected the belly.

For a period of time it looked like the magic sharing was helping. But Laxus was breathing harder and harder. At that time Natsu-san started waking up and coughing harshly. There was blood in the coughing. "Natsu-san take it easy." He didn't look well.

"P-please t-tell me." He tried to talk. But his voice was rough. "Stay still child." Porlusica yelled to Natsu-san. He took my hands and was trying to sit. "I-is the baby okay? P-please t-tell me, W-wendy." He spoke between breaths.

"Stay still you stupid kid, for now your baby is okay. But you have to stay still." Porlusica said sternly. "I'm glad." Natsu-san said and let a tear slip. After that he lied back. We all were glad he was cooperative. But that changed quickly. Because after that he was getting worse. The magic sharing didn't work anymore. We were losing him.

Natsu-san his heart stopped. I jumped up and started giving him CPR. "Laxus-san stop sharing your magic. We need your magic to restart his heart." Porlusica was making sure we got him back, we need him back. "Wendy, if worse comes, we need to get the baby out of him." I nodded. I didn't want to think of that situation but I had to.

We used Laxus-san as a defibrillator. But it wasn't working. Shit. I was still giving him CPR. While Porlusica tried to help him with the breathing. After what felt like hours and like many electricity shots from Laxus-san we didn't see any difference. "Wendy I'm getting the baby out." Porlusica said. I nodded. I didn't quit with trying to get Natsu-san back.

But before Porlusica wanted to start the surgery on the baby, Natsu-san came by. Breathing very shallow. He looked horrible. But he was back. "Wendy you help him with the breathing and Laxus get some rest. We need to stabilize him. After that we can make the decision if we get the baby out of him or not."

Natsu-san was breathing with my help. Porlusica was getting busy with his wounds from the assault. But then she noticed the bleeding from down there. Her eyes went big. "We need to get the baby out of him now." I looked towards her and nodded. I gave Mira the balloon that was still helping Natsu-san's breathing.

I helped Porlusica with the surgery for to get the baby out of there. Of course we gave Natsu-san medication so he wouldn't feel this. But when we got the baby we never expected that.

Gray POV
I had a bad feeling for leaving Natsu behind. Why did the mission have to happen now? I was looking sadly out of the train. "Everything will be alright with Natsu and the baby." Erza said. "You're right." When we finally arrived at the mission site we got quickly started to settle things. It was dealing with some demons that were terrorizing the town. Don't understand why they needed a dragonslayer, though. I didn't listen to that part of the mission. After we slayed the demons. We left to get some rest in the town's inn.

"We finished the mission, why do we need to rest here?" I said impatiently. "Because we didn't finish it Gray. I know you're worried about Natsu. But we haven't killed all the demons." I forgot we needed to get the hiding place of the demons, and kill them all. That's why we needed a dragonslayer, to sniff them out I guess.

When we were in our room to get some rest. We had to share the only room available We would handle the rest of the demons in the morning. After some time I got a call at my lacrima. I looked at the rest. They were looking the same as me, stunned but worried at the same time.

"Hello?" I spoke. "Gray? Is that you. It's the master speaking." He sounded heartbroken. "Yea this is Gray. Something wrong gramps?" I had a really bad feeling about this. "It's about Natsu and the baby." I jumped from the bed I was sitting on. My heart sunk. "Please tell me they are fine." I told him sacred he was going to tell me they weren't.

"Well, Natsu got attacked by some punks. I'm sorry to say it Gray. But he lost the baby." My world sunk. The lacrima fell out of my hands on the ground. Tears were streaming from my eyes. The rest of the team looked with stunned eyes. Lucy and Erza were also crying. Gajeel put his arm on my shoulder.

The worst was that I realized I couldn't get towards him directly. Because they needed my magic here. Shit. Why did this have to happen? After a while I took the lacrima. The master was silent because he knew the news had to sink in.

"H-how is N-natsu?" I almost didn't dared to ask him. But I had to know. "Well, he is out of danger. But his heart stopped for a while, Wendy and Porlusica got him back though with help from Mira and Laxus. But he doesn't know jet that he lost the baby. He wasn't conscious when he lost the baby." That stunned me even more. I almost lost Natsu as well.

Even Natsu doesn't know he lost the baby. If he hears this his heart will break and I can't even get to his side to support him. This is breaking me. I hate this. "T-thanks for saving h-him. I will get back tomorrow." "Be careful, you and the whole team." "Aye gramps." After that he broke the connection.

I fell to the ground crying. The rest of the team hugged me. "We will get there tomorrow Gray." I nodded.
