Gray POV

I was glad Natsu woke up after such a long time. I was glad he was speaking also. But I was shocked he was so stern towards me, I couldn't believe he didn't want me near before I settle things. This makes it hard on me. But I deserved it I guess.. I mean I knew I had to deal with her if I choose for Natsu. She deserves it as well. After Natsu left with Lucy, the guild went slowly rowdy again. I have never seen Gramps and Erza so angry at a random member and just for asking a question. Suddenly Gramps speaks up "Everyone listen up. Natsu can't deal with loud noise at the moment. He will slowly coming everyday by the guild, we have to give him time to heal. So no one makes loud noises when he is in. No one is allowed to ask him why or overwhelm him with other questions. Understood?" "Master, can we even approach him?" "That depends if Natsu is ready for that. He probably won't be ready in the beginning. Even if he is ready only do it in a quiet manner." "Why can't we ask him things?" "Yea master why so mysterious?" I sweat dropped at the random people who asked these things. Gramps grew angry again. "I SAID NO ASKING ALLOWED." The people who asked shrunk, they knew now not to mess with gramps.

I gulped I had to face Juvia I probably should be going than. I went to the bar and towards Mira. "Hi Mira." Mira faced me with her usual smile. "Hi Gray, what can I do for you?" "Do you know where Juvia is I haven't seen her for a week." "Oh about that, she went on a long mission, so I don't know when she will come back. I guess another week probably. I'm sorry Gray. Was it important?" "Yea quite important but I have to deal with it." I walked away leaving a confused Mira behind. I left the guild. I wanted to go towards Natsu his house but halfway I thought. If I explain about it, he will get mad because I went towards him without settling things. Aargh why is he so stern on me. I love him so what does it matter. Should I continue. Or not. I was doubting what the best choice would be. Then I heard a voice behind me. "Hi Gray." I turned around to see who it was, it was Erza. "Hi Erza." "What are you doing here Gray? And why are you standing still on this road?" Erza asked. 

"I-I wanted to go to Natsu, but Juvia is out of town, so I guess I can't." "No indeed you can't." Erza said stern. "Why though? I mean I want to explain that she will be out of town for at least a week." Erza sighed. "Gray, do you think this is easy on Natsu?" "What do you mean?" I asked. Erza facepalmed. "Serious Gray?" "What?" I asked getting a little mad. "Natsu made this decision because he knows you're official still dating Juvia. Do you think it is fair towards Juvia if she came back and hears from someone else that your dating Natsu instead of her. She will feel heartbroken and betrayed." I looked towards the floor. "Do you think Natsu will be okay with that? He will feel guilty if you do it that way. He probably already feels guilty for steeling her boyfriend. So him making a decision not to see you is quite brave." "I guess so, but isn't it going too far. I mean I just want to explain the situation." "No Gray, he just sat boundaries for you. He wants the next time he sees you he can proudly say you're his." I sighed. "Okay I understand. Can you relay a message from me than?" "Sure can do." "Juvia is on a long mission, she will be probably away for another week. When she comes back I will immediately encounter her and tell her the news. So he has to wait a little longer." "I will give him this message. Good luck with all of this Gray." She turned around and walked further towards Natsu's house. I sighed again and left the road and walked towards my apartment. 

Natsu POV
When Lucy walked with me home and we arrived finally we both fell on the coach exhausted. "Thank you Lucy." I said between breaths, I was out of breath. I felt pathetic. "It's okay Natsu, I'm glad I could do something for you. Also I'm glad we made up." "Yea." I was tired, my legs throbbed. Then my stomach made a growling sound. My face went red. Lucy laughed. "I guess you're hungry." "Yea I guess, I haven't eaten for a week." Lucy stood up from the coach. "I will make you something. I'm borrowing your kitchen." "Thanks Luce, I don't know if there is something in the fridge." "Nashuu?" I looked above me. Happy was still sitting on the top of my head. "Yea buddy?" "Are you okay?" "Yea kind of, tired. I'm not used to walking so far." I laughed a little. "Come to think of it, why weren't you on the mission for finding me Happy?" He was startled at that question. "Actually.. I wanted to go. But." He started wailing again. "It's okay Happy I don't blame you." He hugged me.. "I'm so sorry Natsu, I should of have come." "Happy it's okay." He was still crying rivers. "I didn't went because Lucy was so lonely. I didn't want to leave her. She was crying a lot." I pet him on his head. "Your sweet Happy. It's fine. Now I just know why." Lucy came back with some food on a plate for me. "Hope you like it." She said with a smile. I started eating, I had more hunger than I thought, because it was like the food disappeared. Lucy had to laugh at me. Then I heard knocking on my door.

I rubbed the back of my hand. "Lucy would you open it? Sorry I don't think I can walk on my own jet." I felt ashamed. She nodded and walked towards the door. "You hope it's Gray right." Happy whispered. My face went tomato red. "N-no. I-I." Happy started laughed loud. "Happy stop it." I said bashful. Then I saw Lucy coming back with Erza behind her. "I see you made up with Lucy." "Yea I did." I didn't look her in the eyes, I know my face was still red. "Are you alright Natsu? Your face is all red you don't have a fever do you?" "N-no." I said. Happy started giggling again. "Why are you laughing Cat?" Lucy asked. "Because Natsu is funny." I looked at Happy with a stern look. "I just made fun of him, that he was hoping Gray would be at the door." After Happy said that he started laughing loud again. My face went immediately red again I even believe some steam left my face. "Speaking of Gray, Natsu. He wanted to visit. I came across him when I walked here." I looked at her still a blush on my face. "Really? So he already spoke to Juvia." "About that. I had a message to deliver from him towards you." "A message? Oh no Erza. I don't want to talk to him before he speaks to Juvia properly." "But Natsu he want to explain something about that." "NO I don't want to hear it Erza. He had to promise not to visit or come in touch with me before he finished his business with Juvia. It is probably just some excuse so he could visit me again." She sighed. "If that is what you wish." "Is that the reason you're here Erza?" I asked. "No that was just part of it. I wanted to check up on you." "Thank you but I'm fine. I'm going to sleep early I guess. So you both can leave if you want to. I don't expect you guys to always stay here." Lucy and Erza both looked at each other. 

"Okay, are you sure Natsu?" Lucy asked. "Yea, I have Happy who can help me with walking. I see one of you guys tomorrow right to get me to walk towards the guild with me." They both nodded. "I will come and get you tomorrow Natsu." Erza said. "That's okay." I started to yawn. They both laughed. "I guess that was the signal for us to leave." I rubbed the back of my head. "Yea I guess, sorry guys." They laughed again. "No problem Natsu." Lucy said. "Take care." Erza said and with that they left. Happy looked towards me. "Is it really okay Natsu?" "Yea buddy. I can handle myself." "Is it okay that you don't know what Gray wanted to say to you, maybe it was important." I sighed. "It's okay Happy. Gray had to realize he has to take care of things before he comes towards me. I don't want him being with someone else Happy." He nodded. I tried to stand to walk towards my bedroom. But I felt right back on the couch. "Are you okay Natsu? Let me help you." "No it's okay Happy, I have to do this myself." "Don't overdo it Natsu." "I won't." I tried again to stand. This time it worked. I was wobbling though. Happy was flying close by so he could catch me. I sat a step forward very shaky. It worked. Come on Natsu you can do it, I thought. I walked slowly step by step. I was breathing harder with every step I took. I was sweating, but I had to continue to go towards my bed, I have to do this. Almost there. Happy came flying before me he looked worried. "Please Natsu let me help you, it's hard for you right." "No Happy I have to do this." I finally was at my bed and I felt face forwards at my bed panting. "Are you really okay? Should I get Wendy so she could check on you? " Happy asked concerned. I just waved trying to say no. Because at the moment even speaking was impossible. I shift myself further on the bed really exhausted. I wanted to take off my clothes but before I could do that I already fell asleep. The last thing I heard was Happy screaming my name.

Gray POV
I walked defeated towards the guild. What should I do, I mean I have to wait a week before I could speak with Juvia. Would Natsu understand the condition. But it wasn't like Natsu to fall back on his words. This would mean I just won't be able to see him in a week. I sighed. I decided to go back towards the guild. When I came there I thought I would grab a beer at the bar. Just when I took place, Lucy and Erza came inside, laughing. Mira gave me a beer I thanked her. Than Lucy and Erza came walking towards me. I was curious how Natsu did respond on my message. "Hi Lucy, Hi Erza." I said. "Hi Gray." They both said. They both sat next to me, Erza ordered her strawberry cake and Lucy just wanted a juice. "So Erza what did Natsu say about the message I gave him?" I asked I was curious. She sighed. "He didn't want to hear it." "What?" I screamed almost falling of my stool. "No he wouldn't want to listen to something you had to say. He wants to see you again when you're took care of it." I sighed. "I couldn't believe he would be so stubborn." "Gray you know him longer than me, you should of have known he would be this stubborn. Besides he thought it was only an excuse so you could visit him." Lucy said. "That's what you hoped for right?" Lucy said. I got caught. They both laughed. I gulped my beer down.

At that moment Happy came flying in the guild. Both Lucy and Erza looked confused. I didn't think about it much though. He came flying towards Lucy. Wendy came walking towards us when she saw Happy. "Happy-san weren't you with Natsu-san? Did you leave him alone?" Wendy asked. "Please Wendy you have to come with me to visit Natsu." "Why Happy-san is something wrong with him?" "I don't know, but he is sweating a lot and breathing heavy again. Although he fell asleep right away." Happy was crying. I was getting worried. I looked at Wendy. "What do you mean Happy-san? Did Natsu-san do something that caused the heavy breathing or the sweating?" Wendy asked getting worried as well. "Well, he walked towards his bed. But he didn't want my help. So did on his own." He said between sobs. Erza and Lucy sighed. "He had to overdo it again." Lucy said. "Why would that be a bad thing Wendy?" "Well Gray-san he is still recovering, he should take it easy. But I should of have guessed that's impossible for Natsu." "Impossible indeed." Erza said and after that she went further with eating her cake. Lucy sweat dropped. "Take it easy I don't think he understands the meaning of it." Lucy said. I sighed as well. "Happy-san can you take me to Natsu-san?" "Aye sir" Happy responded. "Wait I want to go with you guys, I'm worried about him." Wendy looked at me than towards Erza. Erza took my collar. "No Gray you don't go. Let Wendy and Happy take care of it. You just have to wait until Juvia comes back. Deal with it." I was getting frustrated. Why would this happen to me.

Happy POV
I flew with Wendy in my arms to our house. At the entrance I put her down. "Thank you Happy-san." She thanked me. I just nodded. I was worried. I flew through the house showing her the way. When we came in the bedroom Natsu was still lying in the same position before I left him. Still breathing hard and labored and sweating a lot. "Is he okay Wendy?" I asked very concerned. Wendy had a look on her face I didn't understand. She started walking towards him and started her magic. "I was afraid of this Happy-san, he is having quite a fever. Can you get some rags. I need to cool him down. He is literally burning." "Aye sir." I said and flew away to get the supplies. When I came back with the stuff, Natsu didn't look so good. I handed the stuff towards Wendy she thanked me again. She tried to cool Natsu down. But I saw she was struggling with it. It took some time and nothing Wendy did look like it worked. Then she sighed.

"Happy-san can you do something for me?" "What is it Wendy?" "Can you get Gray-san for me?" "But." "He has to help me cool him down, I know Natsu-san don't want to see Gray-san but if I don't ask Gray-san then." She stopped. "What than Wendy?" "I won't be able to do something about his fever and he might get sicker then, so please Happy-san." "Aye sir." I flew back at the guild with top speed. I flew immediately towards the bar where Erza, Lucy and Gray were still sitting. "How is he Happy?" Gray asked right away when he saw me. "Well we need your help Gray." Gray's eyes went huge. "Happy, we can't let Gray go near Natsu, you know that as well." "But he might get sicker, I know Natsu wouldn't want to but Wendy said it get worse if Gray doesn't come with me." I started crying again. "I don't want to lose him again, Erza." I flew towards Lucy who hugged me. She looked at Erza. "I think we don't have a choice here." Lucy said. Gray stood up. "Happy can you fly me to him?" I looked at Erza. "Is it okay if I take him?" Erza nodded. She then looked at Gray. "Gray you only can help Wendy, when his condition gets better you have to leave immediately. I don't think Natsu would be happy when he sees you when you haven't spoken to Juvia. Okay promise me that. I know it is hard for you, but if you can't promise that I won't let you go." Gray sighed. "I promise Erza, I only help Wendy after that I will leave." I took Gray after that and we went to Natsu. "Happy go top speed if you can." Gray said "Are you sure Gray? It is not easy to handle if you aren't used to flying." "I will manage." "Aye sir." I went top speed. I did warn him but Gray looked paler than normal after I went top speed. 

We reached our home quite fast. I put Gray down, he was wobbling first. "You're okay Gray?" He shook the dizziness off of him and nodded. We both went inside. Gray was running to the bedroom. He looked shocked when he saw how Natsu was doing. "I'm glad you're here Gray-san." "What's wrong with him Wendy?" "He has a terrible fever and I can't get him to cool off. Please Gray-san use your magic to cool him down." "Okay." He walked towards Natsu and started doing his magic on him. We were amazed the ice he made on Natsu melted immediately. "I didn't expect him to melt it." Gray said. "Please Gray-san, make it thicker, so he won't be able to melt it easy." Natsu was still emitting heat. Not his usual heat but like a sauna heat. Gray was doing his best to cool him down, but he was having trouble with it. He was concentration so hard he had sweat rolling down. Wendy looked worried. After a while Gray was exhausted and used up almost all of his magic. "You did well Gray-san, you made the fever go down. Thank you Gray-san." He was breathing hard. "Your welcome Wendy. I do everything for him." "Thank you Gray." I said with tears in my eyes. He just smiled to me. "Sorry Gray but I have to take you to the guild." I said. "You promised Erza." He sighed. "Yea you're right." Wendy bowed and thanked Gray again. "Gray-san. Natsu-san will heal thanks to you." Gray smiled when he heard Wendy say this. I flew him back at the guild.

Wendy POV
Gray-san had to use quite some magic to cool Natsu-san finally down. I was glad I asked Happy-san to get Gray-san. But I'm worried Natsu-san will get mad at me for it. After Gray-san and Happy-san left Natsu-san stirred in his sleep. "Gray" He just said. After a while Natsu-san woke up. "W-wendy? Why are you here?" He said still sounding sleepy. "Happy came to get me after you felt asleep in your bed." "That doesn't sound alarming to me at all." Natsu-san said. "No silly, you had quite a fever, but I made sure it went down." "Was Gray here Wendy?" I was startled. How did he know. "That's impossible right?" Natsu-san asked. I nervously laughed. "He didn't right?" I couldn't take it anymore. "I'm sorry Natsu-san but I had to ask him." "He did, he promised me he wouldn't. Now I'm getting mad." "No wait Natsu-san, if he wasn't here to help me out. Your fever would be far worse. I couldn't bring it down myself." "So he only came to help you?" "Yea Natsu-san, Happy-san and I made sure after he did his best to help me, he will leave immediately. He wouldn't come by if I didn't made him." "If that's what happened, than it is okay. Thanks Wendy." "Your welcome." I smiled. 

"Natsu-san you need to take it easy don't overuse yourself. You might get hurt really bad next time." "I try not too." Natsu-san said. I sighed. After that Happy-san came flying home and hugged Natsu-san immediately when he saw he was awake. "I was so worried Nashuuu!!" Happy-san wailed. "It's okay buddy. Did Gray come by?" Didn't he believe my story or what. I was a little mad at Natsu-san for that. "I just brought him to the guild. He saved you from your fever and thanks to Wendy." Happy-san said excited. "Sorry, Wendy I do trust you but I had to know for sure. I don't want Gray to betray me and Juvia." I didn't want to bother Natsu-san by asking what he meant by that. "Natsu-san I will leave, take easy and take care. I will leave now." I bowed. "Thank you Wendy." He smiled not his signature smile, but it was genuine. I smiled back and left.

Natsu POV
I was glad Wendy saved me, I'm such a burden to everyone. I even became ill, had a fever. I hate to admit it but I was glad Gray came by. Also I felt angry because he did. He promised me he wouldn't but I was in danger, I guess I would too in his situation. I was in thoughts again. I saw Happy talking but I was in my mute world again. Why didn't Gray came by to tell me he told Juvia. Was it really wrong not to listen to the message he had for me. I should of have listened to Erza. I'm really stubborn sometimes I guess. But what if he just said he loved me so I would return. He wouldn't right? Or would he. I starting to doubt everything I knew. What if everyone is in the conspiracy. When will I notice it. Should I be more wary about the situation. Should I trust the people I always trusted. Why shouldn't I. Maybe even Happy is in the conspiracy and Wendy. I pulled my hair I was panicking again. Why am I thinking all that. They are my friends they wouldn't do that or would they. My thoughts kept rumbling like this until suddenly my eyesight became blurry and I fell asleep. A nice deep sleep.
