"Queen to D-5..." I said lazily 

It was the next day and me, Fred and George were in the room of requirement alone because everyone else was in lessons. I was playing chess with George while Fred watched us. 

"Knight to B-7" George sighed, he couldn't even be bothered to play the game properly, I couldn't blame him. We told our chess figures to move around a bit more, prodding them when they refused to move, when finally I had lost the plot. 

"What can we do around this place?!" I groaned, "we can't exactly go to lessons!" 

"Well we could! And me and George could set off a few fireworks here and there" Fred shrugged 

"Unless you want to be hexed by the Carrows be my guest" 

"We could get out of this part of the room of requirement and see what else it has to offer?" George suggested getting up

"Yeah!, We could go into the part where I found dad's book and nick a few things from students which have left the school!" I smiled 

"I like your style!" Fred grinned 

So we headed out of the room of requirement then watched it dissapear. I took Fred and George's hands and wished for the room to reappear, a moment later it had and we walked back into the room together.

We all looked around and saw stacks and stacks of books and other objects which had been put in the room over the years. Fred and George gaped at the new surroundings but I simply stepped forward and then gestured for them to look around too.

"We'll split up and see what we can find" I nodded to them as I began running down the middle path and working my way through the maze.

There were many items which caught my eye like some fancy necklace with a mini sand timer and rings around it and a bracelet which was purely silver with gem stones in and patterns which were engraved on it I guessed this was goblin made. But then my thoughts returned to Fred and George, I wondered how they were getting on.

Fred's point of view 

This room was totally cool! The things which were hidden in here were amazing! But this hunt wasn't for myself it was for Lucy...Well the truth is I wanted to find her a really special ring because y'know... I want to propose to her after the battle (or maybe before), with her fathers premission that is...

I looked up and saw a black velvet box which must have something precious in! I stood on a chair which was in front of the pile and began climbing up the heap until I reached the box, I made a grab for it, caught it then fell back

I cursed under my breath then sat up and opened the box carefully. Inside was a beautiful tiara and engraved on it was 'wit beyond measure is a mans greatest treasure' I've heard that quote before...And it does have something to do with...Rowena Ravenclaw! Oh wow it's her diadem! I'd love to give it to Lucy but I think it's far too dangerous...It could of been cursed. I put the diadem back and continued my search. 

I went through rows and rows of items, some rows had some peculiar objects in, others just had quills and pots of ink. But then I found an isle with purely jewellery, I scanned it very, very carefully until I found a section with rings.

I ran to that section hungrily and started looking at all the rings, some were just plain boring and I had to search through the lot until I found a ring which was made out of gold but in the middle had a bunch of expensive stones which I wouldn't dare even name but I knew they were expensive.

I picked up an empty ring case, placed the ring carefully inside then shoved it in my back pocket before hearing the sound of George's voice yelling for me.

"Oi! You two! Come look at this!"

I heard Lucy yell back that she would be there in a minute, then the sounds of her scampering through an isle which wasn't too far from the one I was in. I followed the sonds of her footsteps and knew they would lead me to George.

And sure enough they did. Lucy was standing next to George, a couple of necklaces around her neck and a bracelet around her skinny wrist, also she was carrying a few books. But George was standing next to some broomsticks which I didn't recognise, and they certainly weren't old, they seemed like they could go pretty fast. 

"What brooms are they, George?" I asked, grabbing one and studying it 

"Goodness knows...I have never seen this type before...They seem like a type that a student made, shall we try them out?" George said 

"Wait!" Lucy said suddenly grabbing one of the necklaces she was wearing, "this necklace I found seems pretty cool! I want to try it out!" 

"Oh no don't!" George said quickly, "that's a time turner! If you spin it you'll go back in time! And you'll see your past self and you could kill them! Then you won't exist!" 

"Oh OK, fair enough, I won't use it but I'm keeping hold of it" 

"That's alright, so lets test out the brooms!" 

Lucy and George grabbed a broom each and we all mounted the broom we were holding. We rose into the air so we could see every object in the room and flew towards the door, I held my back pocket which had the ring in so it wouldn't fall out. 

We made it outside the room but we were going pretty fast. I stopped my broom and so did George but Lucy was having a bit of trouble, she had dismounted her broom and was only holding onto it with one hand. 

"Hang in there Lucy!" I shouted, I flew to the ground then stood underneath Lucy, "let go of your broom!" 

"Are you mad?!" She squealed 

"Just do it!" I commanded 

Lucy let go of the broom and I caught her safely. George accioed her broom then collected all of them and held onto them so when we went back into the room of requirement, which was like our common room now, he could keep them safe. 

"Thanks Fred" Lucy breathed, "you should stop trying to save my life" 

"I have to keep you safe, i've given your father my word" 

Lucy nodded then stood in front of the wall and me, Lucy and George re entered the room of requirement. We sat down in the corner which we had left and talked about the items that we saw and collected (of course I didn't speak about the ring) until the students which had just suffered lessons returned. 

"Hey guys!" Neville smiled walking towards us, luckily he hadn't acquired any cuts today for punishment 

"Hey Nev!" Lucy smiled, "have a fun day?" 

"It was alright, better than some days, at least I didn't get punished!" 

"That's alright then!, How long is it until my dad's meeting?" 

"Shouldn't be too long, whenever he announces it I guess" 

"He always announces it at different times" Seamus said whom was laying on one of the hammocks, with his arms behind his head, just relaxing 

"Guess all we can do is wait" I shrugged leaning back against the wall, Lucy crawled over and sat on my leg, I shifted her so she was leaning on me and because it was pretty chilly and let her steal my body heat.

"Get all the sleep you can, Lu, I don't think it will be long until the battle begins" I whispered in her ear

"I'll try..." She whispered back, closing her eyes.

Lucy's point of view 

No matter how hard I tried I couldn't get to sleep, so I gave up and simply rested. But my resting was interrupted by some racket to the side of me. And Neville stood up to investigate. 

"What is it, Neville?" George asked 

"Aberforth has a visitor" Neville smiled

"Pardon?"

"Oh, Albus Dumbledore's brother, he works in the Hog's head, behind one of his portraits is a secret passage way into here, it's the only way in or out of Hogwarts now. Unless Professor Snape apparates you in like he did Lucy and Fred"

Neville got up and went through the little door, without anyone noticing apart from me, George, Fred and Seamus. I waited eagerly for Neville's return but it seemed like forever. 

"Wonder who wants to get into Hogwarts?" Seamus questioned 

"I have no idea" George shrugged 

Suddenly the door re opened and Neville stepped through with three other people. It took me a moment to realise who they were but then I knew. 

"Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger!" Someone yelled.
