~[I know that where I am placing the characters around the castle isn't necessarily where there were stationed in the book or movies but I thought i'd twist things up a bit]~  

"So where am I going to be positioned, Kingsley?" I asked. 

Me, Kingsley and Remus were up on the astronomy tower, looking out to the open night sky which looked beautiful with the stars scattered all over it, deciding where all the Order members would be stationed ready to kick some death eater butt. 

"Miss Snape I think it would be best if you stay here with Remus, I shall go and grab George Weasley to help you two out, we could do with a few more wands this side. The death eaters will probably think as this is an open space they can get in without a fight but we'll prove them wrong" Kingsley stated 

"But Kingsley!" I squeaked as he was just about to run off, "I'm not a good fighter! About the only thing I'm good at is blocking spells!" I was panicking now and plus me shaking uncontrollably didn't help

"Well here's your advantage as you are smaller and very skinny, no offence, the death eaters will think your weak so attack you and ignore Remus and George. When they attack you, you can block the spells and George and Remus can attack from behind"

"Oh er OK" I said as Kingsley dashed down the stairs to grab George, I stared at Remus worriedly. I wouldn't have lots of protection like I do normally. 

"Are you alright, Lucy?" Remus asked sympathetically  

"Not really, I'm petrified!" My voice came out really high, I didn't mean it to though. 

"I can totally understand where you are coming from, your dad's gone and Fred isn't with you. I bet your wondering where both of them are and if they're OK, but don't worry" Remus put an arm around me, "it'll be OK, we'll get through this" 

"Thanks Remus" I forced a smile 

"Your welcome. You know Lucy, your nothing like your father people may tell you so but your not. You may look like him but you have your own personality. You have been branded all your life and it's time someone told you the truth" 

"You think so?" 

"I know so, now before we fight I want you to grow your doe ears back, give yourself a bit of disguise" 

I obeyed Remus' command and grew my doe ears so now I was half doe half human. Suddenly all the sound around me was much louder, wow this could be advantage, I could hear every move even some movement from downstairs. 

"I can hear more!" I grinned 

"Now you can warn us when enemies are drawing nearer"

"Oh! I have something else too!" I rummaged in my bag until I pulled out the sneakascope, "this sneakascope!" 

"That should prove useful! Leave it out, we'll be needing all the warnings we can get"

I handed Remus the sneakascope just as George hopped up the stairs, carrying his wand and grasping it tightly, it was as though he was trying to show he was stronger.

"Hey Snape, hey Remus" George waved standing next to me so that now I was in the middle, "your just in time for the nights events" 

Me and Remus gave George a quizzical look. 

"Look out there, McGonagall, mum, Slughorn and Flitwick are putting up some sort of barrier"

We all looked out into the night sky and sure enough a barrier was being put up, it was a sort of light filled material substance and it joined together making some sort of half sphere to protect the castle for when Voldemort arrived.

"Woah" I breathed

"Pretty cool, huh?" George smiled, "oh nice doe ears, Snape"

"Thanks but you do know that you can call me Lucy or Fawn"

"Nope your Snape to me" and he ruffled my hair

"Wait until I tell Fred this!" I said playfully prodding him in the arm

"If he can catch me!"

"On second thoughts i'll just set Remus on you" I laughed as George pretended to be scared but then was really scared when Remus made him jump.

"So when't the dork Lord going to arrive?" George asked, returning to his position

"Any time now" Remus sighed and all our eyes stared into the night sky

Fred's point of view 

"Get inside, Fred dear, go and find Kingsley he'll tell you where to go" mum ordered me because I was stressing a bit about Lucy. 

"But I want to know where Lucy's stationed, mum!" I whined but she grabbed the front of my work gear 

"This is not time to play games, Fredrick Weasley! Go and find Kingsley" 

"Yes mum..." 

That was slightly embarrassing. A twenty year old man getting told off by his mother in front of everybody. So, I went in inside and as soon as my foot went over the threshold I saw Kingsley standing there talking to a few third years who wanted to stay and fight, he had ordered them to leave because all years below seven had to leave for their safety. Kingsley shooed the youngsters away and I ran over to him.

"Ah Mr Weasley, Fred am I correct?" Kingsley asked

"Yeah that's me, can you tell me where Lucy is?" I panted

"Lucy?" He asked for the surname  

"Snape!" I snapped a bit frustrated 

"The astronomy tower with George and Remus" 

"Great! I'll go there now!" I grinned, I was just about to run off when Kingsley grabbed me by the back of the robes 

"Oh no, we've got enough people up there, you are stationed on the seventh floor along with a few others" 

"But--" 

"Go, there is no time to mess around!" 

I sighed and made my way to the seventh floor and groaned when a saw two seventh year girls. I wasn't even with members of the order! I was with two seventh year girls! Two who haven't even graduated! You've got to be joking me! 

"Hi Fred!" The first girl waved, I recognised this one as being Lavender Brown

"Hi Lavender..." I groaned 

"Blimey Fred! How's the shop going?" A Hufflepuff who's known as Hannah Abott asked me 

"Er OK?" 

"Oh where's Lucy, Fred?" Lavender asked 

"She's up in the astronomy tower" I said sadly, 'where, most probably, most of the battle will start' I thought

"I do hope she's alright!" 

"Yeah I do too..." 

But suddenly there was a thunderous noise which shook the castle. Somthing was going on outside...

Lucy's point of view 

"REMUS! GEORGE! REMUS! GEORGE!" I yelled at the two men, while I was keeping watch and Remus and George were resting I had seen something which had almost made me fall over. The half sphere of glowing material was being destroyed from the outside. 

"Wazgoingon?" George muttered, he had obviously been falling asleep on the floor while I kept watch, he stood up and brushed himself up. 

"The protection that the teachers put up is being destroyed!" I screamed 

"WHAT?!" Remus yelled getting up and looking out into the night 

"Oh my god..." George gasped 

"It's being destroyed!" I repeated

"I reckon that's you-know-who and his followers" Remus growled getting out his wand and getting ready because now we were under attack. I pulled out my wand from my bag then made sure it was securely fastened. 

"Get ready, the whole thing could be broken completely any time now" Remus commanded, I stood sideways on so I could move freely and also try to make myself look more fierce. 

We waited for a little bit but despite the wait we stayed put until a female's voice spoke from behind.

"Am I too late?" It asked, we all turned around and I saw Tonks. 

"TONKS!" I squealed running over to her and giving her a massive hug 

"Wotcher, Fawn!" She grinned her hair was now a light brown colour instead of a vibrant pink

"I'm so glad to see you!" I grinned 

"I'm glad to see you too" she said giving me another hug but then let go as Remus gave her a very worried look 

"Tonks! What about Teddy!" Remus shouted in a worried tone and concerned all at the same time 

"He's with my mother, don't worry" 

"Andromeda's looking after him?" 

"That's right!" 

Remus gave Tonks a quick hug before we returned to our positions and discussed or plan about me blocking spells while the others attacked the death eaters from behind. We were about to speak about a backup plan when a massive BANG could be heard and the whole sphere shattered and death eaters were flying towards the astronomy tower. I gasped but stayed strong. 

"REMUS! THEY'RE HEADING DIRECTLY TOWARDS US!" George yelled 

"WELL PREPARE YOURSELF!" Remus yelled back 

Two death eaters landed on the astronomy tower all of a sudden. All was still for about two seconds before spells headed directly towards us all, I began to block every spell frantically for myself and my allies, there was no stopping me now. 

"Oh look!" One of the death eaters said to the other, "it's Snape! Just who the dark Lord wants! GET HER!" 

"NO!" Tonks yelled and she sent both death eaters flying off the astronomy tower so they landed onto the ground. Dead. 

I was about to thank Tonks when four more death eaters landed on the astronomy tower, two flew in and two had run up the stairs we battled one each this time. 

"TAKE THIS YOU FILTHY SCUM BAG!" George yelled at the one he was fighting and sent it flying against the wall. 

But I was having a bit of a dilemma. The death eater I was fighting was very quick at shooting spells and, I hate to admit this, I was having trouble blocking the spells. But then I felt a stunning spell hit me from behind,Tonks was having trouble dueling her opponent because the death eater had decided to attack me instead!

"OW!" I yelled, I lost focus for a second and this gave a death eater a perfect opportunity to use a stunning spell and so I was slammed back into the wall and shards of glass rained down on me

"OI! TROLL FACE! GET SOME OF THIS!" George shouted at the one who had shot the stunning spell at me. George began to shoot as many spells as he could manage at the death eater until it was by the stairs. It was totally unaware of that so it fell back down the stairs. 

I stood up, ignored the fact that I was bleeding, and attacked the last two death eaters so they were taken by total surprise and were left there lying.  

"This is going to be a tough battle" I muttered to myself as I clutched my bleeding arm.
