Ace decided to quit the band. They got a guitarist named Vinnie Vincent, who plays good guitar solos. They went on tour and choose Vinnie to be a ankh warrior for the makeup. They did their shows and Paul was gonna do a spell for the fure but he felt a bit off.  He did the spell but it wasn't powerful enough, he did it again still not good.

Gene necklace started glowing. He felt Paul needed help. They both said the spell and it was good finish to the concert.

After the show, Paul was still feeling a bit off like he felt his magic got stronger but this felt different. Gene went to go check on him in his dressing room.

"Hey, are you okay I felt my necklace glow." Gene said.

"I don't know. I feel my magic growing strong it always felt the same but this time it feels different."  Paul said.

"Like how different?" Gene asked.

"Like something new. Something that no one told me about." Paul said.

They decided to go to a private area where Paul can figure out why he feels off and do his spells. Gene watched from the side making sure his love won't get hurt.

After a few minutes, Paul eye color changed to purple and he looked up closed his eyes. Purple smoke sworn around him then out came a purple Phoenix. Gene looked up in shock.

"Paul?" Gene asked.

The Phoenix looked at him it was him. The reason why he felt off was because his magic got stronger but he can also morph into a Phoenix. Paul landed purple smoke swormed around him. It was Paul again.

He ran up to Gene cause he was scared what just happened.

"It's ok baby. I got you." Gene said hugging him. "Let's go home and cuddle ok?"

Paul nodded to that. Gene hold him until they went to their house. When they got home, they cuddle all day and night.

"You ok?" Gene asked.

"Yeah it was just scary." Paul said.

"It's ok. Did your mother ever tell you about turning into a Phoenix?" Gene asked.

"No she never did. I wonder why." Paul said.

"Maybe she wanted you to find out for yourself?" Gene said still confused.

"Maybe or maybe she was worried i'll get scared." Paul said.

"Should we call her?" Gene asked.

"Not we. Me." Paul said.

"Ok baby I'll be right here don't worry." Gene said.

Paul smiled as he picked up the phone to call his mother. He dialed the number and waited for her to pick up.

"Hello." Eva said.

"Hi mom." Paul said.

"Hello sweetie how are you?" Eva asked happily.

"Umm not so good." Paul said.

"Why's that?" Eva asked concerned.

"Mom I turned into a Phoenix a purple one. Why didn't you tell me?" Paul asked confused.

"Oh. Well you see honey, I was afraid that you will be afraid of turning into a Phoenix. I was afraid to tell you. I didn't want you to worry and get anxiety from it. Sometimes it happens when you're 29 but you were a late one. Don't worry it's normal for my side of the family we turn into Phoenix based on our magic color. It only happens when our loved ones are in grave danger." Eva explained.

"So I only turned into one when I feel my loved one is in danger?" Paul asked.

"Yes sweetheart. This time you transformed was because it was your aging and letting it out." Eva said.

"Ok um mom can i tell you something else?" Paul asked.

"Yes." Eva said.

"Me and Gene are dating. His mother knows but I was afraid to tell you." Paul said as he was shaking.

"Oh sweetie that's amazing. I'm so happy for you. Besides I'm getting a feeling you two are soulmates." Eva said. "I can sense it."

"Really?" Paul asked happily.

"Yup. Anyway sweetie I have to go your father will be home soon. I gotta prepare dinner, I love you Sweetheart." Eva said.

"I love you too mom." Paul said.

They both said bye and hung up.

"Well?" Gene asked. 

Paul explained everything to Gene.

"Damn your mother side has so many things with magic now metamorphosis." Gene said.

Paul laughed at that.

"Can we just go to bed and cuddle the rest of the day?" Paul asked with the most adorable puppy face.

"Of course baby." Gene said.

They went to their bedroom and cuddle till the fell asleep.
