1981
Kiss has released "the elder" album. They're happy they finished it but it didn't do well. Most of the fans didn't like it while some did. Paul knew it wasn't their best work but they had to get new music out there and show kiss is still going. The band wasn't proud of it either.

After a few months, they started working on "creatures of the night" album. They were working on the song "i still love you" and Paul was recording his vocals while Gene was watching him sing was beautiful and satisfying to him. He thought he looked like an angel and so pretty singing.

"He has a good voice right Gene? Gene?" Eric asked.

Gene was lost in reality because all he did was look at how beautiful Paul looked singing. How could a guy singing be so beautiful?

"Hello earth to Gene?" Ace said as he waved his hand in front of Gene face.

Gene snapped out of it and came back to reality. He looked around him seeing he was still in the studio. Paul was singing the last part after he did, Gene stopped the recording.

"Whatchu think?" Paul asked.

Gene was still coming back to reality trying to find words to answer Paul.

"I'm guessing it was really good?" Paul said as he smiled.

Gene nodded agreeing and Paul did his cute little laugh. Gene was blushing alittle at how cute his laugh was. What he didn't notice was that Paul was blushing too because of the compliment Gene have him without using words.

Eric noticed Gene blushing but decided not to say anything so he don't make him embarrassed. He decided to ask him privately after they finished recording for the day.

"So uh who wants to record backing vocals first?" Gene asked.

Eric agreed to go first. Paul lefted the recording booth and Eric went in and started singing backing vocals.

Paul sat next to Gene while Eric recorded. Paul was still kinda blushing after Gene's compliment. He hoped that Gene don't notice it. Did Gene think he looked beautiful while he was singing?

Gene was hoping Paul didn't notice his blushing. Eric was still recording his vocal and notice alittle but couldn't make it out. He could've sworn he saw Paul blushing while sitting next to Gene. He has a feeling he knows what's going on.

After ace and gene did their vocals, Eric decided to talk to Paul first.

"Hey Paul come here I wanna talk to you about something." Eric said.

"Ok?" Paul asked confused.

They went into an empty room where no one can see or listen. They sat on the couch.

"Hey so I... um noticed you were blushing when you were sitting next to Gene. Do you have a thing for him?" Eric asked him calmly.

Paul started to blush at the question from embarrassment and that he was right. He does but he's scared to admit it due to how people are about being gay.

"It's ok to admit it I don't judge. I promise." Eric said as he put a hand on Paul's shoulder.

"Um.. yes I do have something for him." Paul said blushing and smiling alittle.

"Awww that's cute. Why don't you tell him?" Eric asked happily.

"Because he probably don't feel the same or don't even like men that way." Paul explained.

"Maybe he does have something for you." Eric said.

"Wait what makes you think that?" Paul asked.

"I don't know just a hunch." Eric said trying not to sound like he's lying.

"Can we keep this between us? I don't want the others to know especially Gene." Paul said.

"Yeah of course." Eric said.

They hugged it out. Paul lefted the room and Eric did as well.

"Alright now to talk to Gene." Eric said to himself.

He went to go look for him.  He found him still in the studio replaying i still love you that paul just recorded.

"Gene." Eric said trying to get his attention.

"Huh?" Gene asked as he paused the recording.

"I wanna ask you something." Eric said as he sat down. "So I saw you blushing and it was when Paul was recording. Do you a thing for him?"

Gene got nervous and embarrassed. He thought no one will notice.

"Hey you can tell me I won't judge." Eric said in a comfort voice.

Gene took a deep breath and said "Yes I do."

"Oh well. Do you wanna tell him how you feel?" Eric asked.

"No. I'm afraid he'll reject me or that he's not even into guys like that." Gene said.

Eric remembered that's exactly what Paul said. He wants to helped them get together.
