"shawn get in here!" willow yells from the main room of their shared suite in the middle of manhattan. "shawn! get here!"

"what?" shawn whines, walking out of the bedroom, pulling a shirt over his head. "i was trying to nap."

"firstly, it's ten am, and secondly," she groans, holding out her phone. "someone took a photo of us yesterday."

"loads of photos have been taken of us since we got here," shawn chuckles, shrugging it off. "it's fine."

"no shawn-" she cuts herself off with a sigh. "just look at it," shawn furrows his eyebrows in confusion, walking up to her, and taking her phone, looking at the screen, and dropping it in shock.

"shawn!" she groans, quickly picking it up, and examining the screen for cracks. "fuck shawn! you cracked it!"

"i need to call andrew quickly, i'm so sorry," he says quickly. "we'll go out and buy you a new phone today i promise, i just need to call him now-"

"shawn-"

"i promise wills, get ready, we can head out in an hour yeah babe? okay," shawn mumbles quickly, getting up and walking to the terrace door, opening it up and walking onto the balcony, shutting the door behind him.

willow sighs gently, sitting back down on the couch, and leaning back. she scrolls through all the photos crowding up her mentions on social media, her mind spinning, but feeling slightly okay about it.

of course she was happy with how her relationship was progressing with shawn. even though the two of them hadn't directly spoken about anything between them, they knew they were exclusive.

at least she thought they were exclusive.

shawn enters the room again about five minutes later, his composure less worried and more relaxed, almost relieved.

"good news is, no ones really reacting over the top," he says, sitting down next to willow. "are you okay about it though?"

"yeah," willow nods quickly. "yeah, i'm okay with it. either way, we're gonna have to deal with it."

"i'm really glad you're taking it okay," shawn says gently, wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "you are okay with everything right? i know we literally decided to come to new york two days ago, but you're okay? right?"

"shawn," she giggles, looking up at him. "i'm fine."

and she was fine. she felt safe with shawn, she knew he wouldn't hurt her.
