he sat alone today, too. i was getting worried about him, he usually had friends surrounding him. he looked sad, so i said hi to him. he said hi back, but it was disheartened. he looked like he was going to cry. i told him everything would get better.

that sentence made him seem less hurt, and that gave me hope.
