Thoughts {DREAMS}
Lying stiffly on the ground body un-moving in time the stillness of the night. Dark yet pale blue skin shimmers minutely under the moon light. Short cotton like tresses flow wildly in the harsh evening winds. Voluptuous curves lie exposed to the evil elements. The dirt lie beneath her naked skin like a bed in all its natural and fineness. Her once long and beautiful eyelashes now sullied with fresh tears. Eyes once wide with doe-eyed curiousness and innocence, now narrowed with more wisdom and malice.
Perfect pink puckered lips pulled back into a thin-lined snarl as she stares down at her own bloody wrists. Mangled. Bruised. Torn and Tattered. The only evidence of a culprit being the blue and black pocket knife freshly coated in red and bloodied fingered tips on her own hands.
Yes. Now she remembers. She'd done this to herself. Why? She remembers, now, that as well. The young vixen had withstood just about enough. She couldn't stand the things going on in her life. School. Family. Certain personal affairs. Illness...... 'Stress'. She thought bemusedly. "So much stress.. Too much loneliness."
'No one cares and so no one will help. No empathy nor sympathy to be given to one who doesn't matter in this life.' she finished her thoughts solemnly. Let her pain be ended. Gods be damned if wasn't ready to end her miserable existence. Devils be truth tellers and hell would be frozen in the midst of its transgressions if she hasn't shown any signs. Signs of wanting to finally die. Yet no one had saved her still. She hated herself and so did everyone else. "So", she began dryly, "I'll finally end it. This illusion I've been living all this time." She finished with renewed resolve.
She would finally silence her thoughts.
Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
She would finally awake from this nightmare disguised as a dream. She would be free from all her burdens, and like the wind she would soar.
If I should die before I wake,
As she thought the last of her thoughts, she closed her eyes and calmly let the sinking darkness consume her. And before she lost consciousness, one line crossed her mind.
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
