As Karkat walked away, you thought about what he said and then compared them to the cruel words of your classmates. You did as you had said you would. You went to go to bed. The words of both Karkat and your classmates running in your head. The tornado of words swirling in your head instantly disappeared as you entered your dorms corridoor.

That's right. You lived at your school. You had been at Karkat's house, you obviously make yourself quite comfortable in other peoples houses. You walked toward a group of girls who took one look at you and giggled amongst themselves. You steeled yourself for whatever was to come but you weren't expecting them to be silent and smile at you as you were just about to pass them. Sadly, one of them had stuck their foot out. You tripped on that foot and it sent to the floor. The girl, Celeste, who had just stuck her foot out, put her left foot on your rear end and sneered at you.

"Oh my God, fatass here just tripped over her own leg fat! Haha!" She laughed you felt tears stab your eyes mercilessly. You turned onto your back and swiped her foot off of you. You sat up and slowly climbed to your feet. You turned and walked away, you head down and your bangs covering your eyes which were quickly filling with unwanted tears. Celeste laughed with her friends.

"Oh no! I think the whale broke my foot!" She said while nearly laughing herself to death.

Karkat had seen and heard everything. He heard your sniffles as you blindly walked straight into him.

"S-sorry. I didn't mean to walk into you. I hope I didn't break any of your bones." You were strong around your friends but not around strangers. Or so you thought. As you stepped to the side and began walking to the side, you lifted up your arm to wipe the tears that were starting to fall. Karkat grabbed your wrist and your head snapped upwards.

"K-Karkat! W-what are you doing h-here?!" You whisper yelled those clear droplets still falling. You were shocked silent when you saw the look of pure and utter rage that was filling his face.

He started to drag you toward the group of girls again. You struggled to break free but his grip was just that little bit stronger than yours. You damned his strength to hell and back, he sure didn't look this strong.

"YOU." He said disgust and hatred were the only emotions that were noted in his voice.

"YOU BITCH! What the EVER LOVING FUCK did you just do to her?!" He screeched in Celeste's face.

"DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS GIRL HAS GONE THROUGH?!" He waited a few seconds for her to reply. When she didn't he looked almost terrifying.

"Just as I fucking thought. YOU SHIT LOVING COW! This girl has gone through and seen more than you would ever hope to see. SHE WATCHED HER OWN PARENTS DIE AT THE HANDS OF A MURDERER. SHE. SAW. EVERYTHING. And here you are teasing her as if you know everything about her. Well, I've got news for you, bitch. YOU DON'T KNOW JACK-SHIT!" He screamed. It was true. Everything he said had been true. Celeste started to cry a little at the fact a random person was screaming at her.

"Karkat! You're making a scene! Please just leave it! They don't know anything so you don't have to tell the-"

"THEN, SHE WATCHED AS HER SISTER HUNG HERSELF. AND AFTER THAT, HER BOYFRIEND DIED IN A CAR CRASH. STOP ACTING ALL HIGH AND FUCKING MIGHTY WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SOMEONE HAS IN THEIR LIFE!"

"KARKAT! Just stop! Please! JUST FUCKING LEAVE!" You screamed your heart clenching almost unbearably at the thought of your boyfriend of 5 years, dying, on your birthday. Karkat looked at you surprised and allowed you to drag him away. He looked back at Celeste who was being comforted by her friends whom were still wide-eyed at what had just happened.

You dragged him into an alley.

"Karkat! Why did you do that?" You cried your head in your hands. Karkat looked severely hurt at the fact you didn't even know. He gripped your wrists in his hands and pulled you forward. He hugged you and enveloped your lips with his own in a sweet gesture of sorry. Your eyes widened and stayed open the whole kiss. A few seconds later Karkat pulled back and set his forehead on yours avoiding your still wide eyes.

"I... I'm so deeply fucking flushed for you that it's driving me insane. I thought you would have realised that by the fact I fucking did that for you and no-one else you dip shit." Wow, so this was a confession from Karkat Vantas. Your eyes seemed to widen before they shut firmly. You pressed you lips quickly to his.

"I... I love you two Karkat fucking Vantas!" He looked relaxed and content for once. Worries of being a good leader and all his insecurities seemed to fly out of the window for now. You both walked to his house hand in hand.
