John X Bullied! Reader
You wanted to scream. It had finally gotten to the point where you had to tell someone. You weren't really the type to be dependent on others but this has gone on long enough. You scrolled through your contacts and came across John's name. You knew you could really on John because, for a prankster, he was quite good at giving advice. You went onto his contact and tapped the little green phone icon. The phone rang nine times before he picked up, a slight ruckus in the background.
"Hello, who is it?" Inquired John
"John? It's (_____), can we talk?"
"Yeah, sure, what about?"
"Well, I've been having a hard time with people in school I was wondering if you could, well, walk me to some of my classes?"
"... What kind of 'trouble'?"
"Just the usual throwing me into lockers and scratching my back with DIY nails..."
"Jesus! DIY nails?! That's not usual (____)!"
"It's it not? I thought it happened to a lot of people."
"No! Bullying it's generally telling people that they suck a lot but not many people can say their back was scratched with DIY nails!"
"Oh. Sorry John, I didn't realise."
"Why are you apologising? Anyway we're going to get this sorted out, I'll get Dave to help."
"Hey John! Wait!" John hung up. Damn, what were they going to do? Biting your nails you thought of all the possible things they could do about it, you were worried for them because your bullies were quite ruthless.
Returning to school on Monday you quickly noticed something was different. Dave and John met you at the gates and when they thought you weren't looking, they would send glares at people who would approach you. John's glares were actually kind of funny so Dave had to work overtime. They kept this up through the whole day and you had to stop them from going into the girls toilets with you. You didn't need the toilet, you couldn't pee in public places someone would hear it and that mortified you. Instead you just sat in one of the cubicles. It was incredibly sweet that they wanted to help, it's just that you were feeling a little... Claustrophobic. They would walk side by side with you and sit next to you relentlessly. Even now they were knocking on the girls bathrooms door asking if you were ok. Well, John was.
You came out, washed your hands and left; a small smile on your face to convince John you were ok. All through classes they were your personal bodyguards and when you left they walked you home, even though it was in the opposite direction of their own houses. Waving goodbye you shut the door and slid down it heaving in relief. Yet again they were the best friends anyone could have but, they were making you feel a little claustrophobic. From behind the door you heard Dave talking to John.
"Why don't you just tell her you dig her?"
"Dave! It's not that simple... Besides if she doesn't 'dig' me everything would be awkward!"
"Whatever man, it's not as if she can't hear us through her door anyway." An audible gasp came from John and you could practically feel the embarrassment radiating from John at being tricked into confessing. The door opened to reveal you eyes darting everywhere but him.
"Hey, so... I may or may not, slightly dig you too?" It came out sounding like a question but you meant for it to be a statement. Eh, close enough. John's ears turned red.
"Dave beat up your bullies!" Not knowing what else to say, John blurted out one of the secrets they shared. You burst out laughing and John's neck joined the tomato party. You thanked them, still giggling, while John invited himself inside. Dave left and walked home by himself mumbling about how 'John better buy him some apple juice for his abandonment'. John shook his head and sat down on the couch.
"So... Cuddling?" John inquired. You nodded and buried your face in his chest. This was a good end to a good Monday.
