So this chapter was just a couple of time hops into the future because I'm a sucker for a happy ending and all that. I hope you enjoyed the story, and please don't forget to Vote/Comment :) Thank you!

Needless to say, Sully was happy to see the pair of you later on that day, arms around each other and laughing at something Sam had said. It was clear to everyone that the two of you were in love, especially when Sam stopped just to pull you closer and kiss you.

Sully watched with a grin on his face as you blushed and kissed Sam back before the two of you started walking again. When he saw the light had came back into your eyes, he beamed and knew you and Sam were finally together for life.

Two weeks later, you were back in Libertalia, Sully having dropped you off with the instruction to pick you both up in 3 days. Most normal couples vacationed in places with pools, but you and Sam weren't like most couples. Adventure called to your blood, so when Sam had suggested going back to Libertalia, you'd agreed, willing to make some more memories of the place you'd been hunting for so long. This time no one would be shooting at you, and you had time to explore. Which you were enjoying to no end. Time away from civilisation with just Sam was great, especially as you got to watch him nerd out over pirates. You'd spent a whole day in bed, watching pirates of the Caribbean after you'd said that Jack sparrow was your favourite pirate, and Sam needed educating.

You were just approaching Libertalia when you saw the huge cliff you'd have to scale to get there, and a smirk came to your face as you tapped Sam's hand and nodded at it. "What do you say to that rematch you promised me? Race you?" You didn't even give him time to answer before you were sprinting towards the cliff, hearing Sam laugh and follow after you.

You raced up the cliff, making it to the top a few seconds ahead of Sam and collapsing onto your back at the top, breathing heavily. When Sam dragged himself over the top, he fell beside you and laughed loudly, the sound echoing around the trees.

"I win," you cheered, still panting. Sam pulled a face and pulled you into his side, keeping you close as always.

"Yeah, well, normally I'd win. But somebody kept me up all night," he hinted, but you just feigned innocence.

"I don't know what you're talking about! I slept like a baby," you grinned, which wasn't a lie. You'd been sleeping a lot better recently, possibly due to someone finding creative ways to kill any extra energy.

That same someone chuckled and leaned in, kissing you deeply, biting your lower lip gently.

"Bringing anything back?" He asked into your neck, and you grinned and nipped at his ear.

"Getting something. Not quite recollection yet. You'll have to show me," you breathed as his teeth grazed the sensitive spot on your shoulder, causing your back to arch a small amount and a gasp to leave your lips. Sam just chuckled, content to tease you a while longer. You however, were having none of it and rolled the pair of you over, so you were straddling him and pinning his arms beside his head.

"Didn't nobody ever teach you that it's not nice to tease people?" You purred, leaning down to kiss the birds on Sam's neck, just the way to make him shudder in delight and usually drag you into the nearest room with a lock. But under the cover of trees on a remote island, you didn't need locked doors, so he growled and claimed his hands back so he could reverse your positions again, and then when he was on top of you, he started undoing your shorts while kissing your stomach and slowly working his way down. He'd made good on his promise to learn every inch of you, and the two of you could barely keep your hands off each other most of the time.

When you were done and lay panting next to each other, you linked your fingers with Sam's and chuckled. "Now I remember."

Sam laughed and kissed your forehead. "And here I was hoping I'd have to show you again... That was intense," he gasped, and you nodded, knowing your legs weren't going to let you climb anywhere for a while, but Sam seemed fine with that.

He kept you tucked into his side as he stared up through the trees, watching the birds move around. You felt his eyes turn to you as you sat up and started pulling on his shirt and your underwear. His warm hand came to rest on the small of your back, rubbing small circles into your skin.

"I don't think you understand how happy it makes me to see you wearing my shirt," he smiled, and you looked down at him and smiled before laying down beside him, your hand running over the scars on his abdomen before going up to his chest. He'd put on his pants again, but you'd stolen his shirt, so he wasn't moving yet. But you were ok with that.

"I don't know, Sam. I've been pretty damn happy for the past three weeks."

Sam chuckled and kissed your head again. "Good. I always want you to be happy..."

You smiled and took his hand on his chest. "Well I will be. So long as you're here."

For a moment Sam didn't say anything, but appeared to be thinking hard about something. Eventually he sighed and looked at you, his eyes a little nervous as he ran a hand down your arm. "Well I will be. So long as you'll have me?"

The question felt loaded, so you sat up and looked down at him, wondering what the catch was that was making him nervous. Did he have something to tell you?

"What are you saying, Sam?" You asked a little sharper than you'd meant, but if he noticed, he didn't comment. Instead he just met your eyes and gave you the crooked smile that always melted your heart, entwining his fingers with yours.

"I'm saying..." He laughed as he sat up too, leaning forward to kiss your neck, hiding his face in your throat as he finished his sentence. "Marry me."

You froze, feeling Sam's breath tickle your throat as he pressed more kisses to your pulse point, waiting for you to process his question. After a moment, he pulled back and looked at you, looking slightly nervous, so you took his hand and squeezed. "Sam, you don't want to get married. You said as much to me and Nathan a while ago. You don't have to do this just for me..." You started, but Sam gave a relieved laugh and kissed you to cut you off.

"Is that the only reason you're not answering? Because you think I don't want this?" He asked, and you nodded, so he laughed again and kissed your throat. "Baby, I didn't want that life then because I didn't think it was possible. I thought you hated me. But I've wanted to marry you since the day I first lay eyes on you. It's what got me through those years in Panama. Picturing the future I wanted for us. Exploring the world, getting married, settling down and having kids of our own... Believe me when I say that there is nothing I want more," he promised, and you felt the tears in your eyes as you slowly nodded your head and then leapt forward, tackling Sam to the ground again and kissing him fiercely, feeling the glow in your chest as tears dripped onto Sam's face.

When you pulled back, neither of you could stop smiling, especially Sam. "You're going to be my wife?" He asked, and when you nodded he cheered and kissed you again, unable to keep his hands off you.

Considering he claimed to be happy seeing you in his shirt, he had no problem with tearing it off you again afterwards.

Three days later, you were just climbing down a wall to get to Sully's plane, where the old man was waiting eagerly, looking between you and Sam, and you realised that he had known that Sam was going to ask you the whole time.

One look at Sam's beaming face and Sully cheered, holding his arms out for a hug.

"Congratulations, kid!" He beamed, and you thanked him, stepping back so he could embrace Sam, the two of them having gotten closer after the events of Libertalia.

You loaded on the plane and Sully took off, Sam taking the seat next to him while you sat on Sam's lap so you could talk to them both. After sharing a look with Sam, he started talking, telling Sully what the two of you had discussed.

"So Sully... Will you be there? At our wedding?" He asked and Sully chuckled before nodding.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," he grinned, so you swallowed and took over, asking him the most important question.

"Good. Because I'm gonna need you there to walk me down the aisle."

Sully turned to look at you, his voice a little gruff when he spoke. "You sure? I mean, it'd be an honour, but-"

You smiled and leaned closer to kiss his cheek. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

Sully beamed and you were sure his eyes might have misted a little, but you were right there with him. You just had to tell Nate and Elena now, but Sully was way ahead of you and that's where you were headed.

Two days later and you were outside their house, a ring on your finger and Sam's hand held in your own. You hadn't seen the two of them since the dock, but you'd spoken to Elena a few times, who had announced that she knew you and Sam would work it out. You hadn't yet told her that you were engaged, but it was more something you did in person anyway, so taking the lead, you walked to the front door and knocked before walking in, calling out for the pair of them.

Nate appeared first, jumping down the stairs like a child and beaming when he saw the two of you. He hugged his brother and then you, asking what you were doing there, during which time Elena walked in from the garden and spotted you, rushing over to give you both a hug.

Then it was time to answer Nate's question, so you smiled and looked at Sam, who you could tell was bursting to tell, so you smirked and nodded for him to say it.

"Y/N is going to be my wife!" He cheered, and your two friends gasped and then rushed forward to give you both more hugs and congratulations. You laughed and thanked them, showing Elena the simple gold engagement ring Sam had given to you. After that, Elena shared a look with her own husband and then looked back at the pair of you.

"We have our own news too," she started, a small smile on her face as she placed her hands on her stomach, and you felt your eyes go wide as you clicked on almost instantly. Faster than Sam.

"Oh my gosh, Elena! Are you serious?!"

She nodded and you hugged her again. "Congratulations!" You cried, so happy in that moment, feeling like life was finally righting itself.

You and Sam were asked to be godparents, which you of course agreed to, and you were there when Cassie was born, three months after your wedding. She was beautiful, and you adored watching her grow up, knowing that she was loved and cared for, much like you and the Drake brothers hadn't been.

She was 2 when you got in to the house you shared with Sam, about 100m down the beach from Nate and Elena's place. Everyone was on the private beach, Sully manning the BBQ while Nate and Sam chased Cassie around, watching her giggle loudly as she clumsily evaded them. She was wicked fast on her feet, just like her father, and you knew Elena and Nate were gonna have their hands full when she grew up. Elena seemed to realise it too as she shook her head behind the camera, but continued laughing at her daughter.

Cassie spotted you first, screaming your name and running to you for shelter from the two Drakes, Vicky trailing the child as always.

When she was close enough, you scooped her up into your arms and growled at the two men, scaring them away for your niece, who giggled again and pulled faces at them.

Sam laughed and walked closer, kissing you lightly and asking what took so long. You just smiled and shrugged, walking towards the others with him, Cassie still in your arms. You let Sam go ahead of you and stopped to tell Cassie that you had a mission for her. Her wide eyes were full of wonder as she nodded her head and listened to what you had to say, then when you put her down, she toddled off on her little legs to do as you'd asked.

Having clearly inherited her fathers genes, she scaled the bench in a matter of seconds, calling for everyone attention, so all eyes were on her. Then, imitating her mother's reporter tone, she pointed towards you and beamed while speaking to everyone else.

"Aunty Y/N wants me to tell you all that I'm getting a baby cousin!"

Sam's head whipped to you, his eyes wide and a small smile on his mouth as he waited to see if you were really, and when you nodded he ran over to you and kissed you deeply, somewhat breathless as he held you close and hugged you. "God I love you. A baby? Holy goddamn shit! I'm going to be a dad?"

You nodded and he kissed you again, one of his hands going down to your stomach, as if he could feel the baby inside.

You pulled away, allowing the others to congratulate the pair of you, all the while Sam was standing behind you, beaming in pride with his hands on your stomach, already in love with the growing baby inside.

Later that night, you lay in bed, your tee pulled up so Sam could lay on his stomach and talk to the baby inside, tracing patterns over your skin while you'd smile and play with his hair. He did that every night for nine months, during which time you'd decided to keep the gender a surprise, though you both suspected you were having a boy.

Nine months later and Sam had his daughter in his arms. He cried more than she did.

Though there was nearly 3 years between them, Cassie and Evie were best friends, never seen apart. When Evelyn was only 4, she was already climbing the outside of your house and playing on the roof and up trees, much to Sam's worry, though you knew she had inherited a double dosage of the adventurer genes, and she had been sure footed from the day she first stood up and took a walk across the kitchen, you and every other adult in the room staring at her with your jaws on the floor. From that point on, she'd spent every waking hour running around and climbing things, Sam following after her, ready to catch her should she fall, but she never did.

Though she was fast to walk and a confident child, she was unusually quiet, rarely talking, even in front of family. You might have worried, but one day you'd walked past her nursery and she was sitting on Sam's knee, a pirate book open in front of them while she babbled on to her father, pointing out her favourite pirates and telling him all about them. You'd watched them for nearly an hour, Sam patiently listening and helping Evie when she forgot a name or fact, and when she was eventually tired out, he put her into bed and walked outside to see you sitting in the hall, smiling to yourself. He sat down beside you, putting his arm around you as you both laughed at how your daughter was exactly like him.

"Shes got your temper!" He laughed, and you realised that he was right. She was the perfect balance of both of you, and you laughed as you realised what that could mean for her teenage years.

"We'll have to watch her for sneaking out the window to meet no good bad boys in the middle of the night," you chuckled, but Sam looked horrified.

"No boy is going near her until she's at least 30," he huffed and you laughed, knowing he'd be fine with anything that made her happy. Which was why she spent a lot of her childhood traveling the world with you two, and sometimes the rest of the family too.

In the end, Sam never had to worry about boys. It was the bad girls Evie was interested in, bringing home her first girlfriend at 17 and introducing her to the family.

The two of them had walked in holding hands, mud covering their clothes as they'd raced through the woods on the way. It took another 10 minutes for Cassie to arrive, greeting both of them quickly before starting to raid the cupboards for a snack. Settling on the side, she looked between her cousin and her aunt before speaking. "Have you asked them yet?"

Evie shot Cass a dirty look, but You'd already heard, so turned to your daughter. "Asked us what?"

She quickly flipped her cousin off before turning her full attention back to you, a charming smile on her face, and you just knew she wanted something. She'd inherited the Drake charm, much to your dismay.

Speaking of Drakes, your husband was in the living room, talking to Taylor, Evie's girlfriend about pirates, meaning you had no back up if you were to say no. Something told you that Evie had planned it that way.

"Well, Cassie and I have been doing research on some things, and we found some books in the attic... So we read them, and we've been doing our own research, and we really think we have a great lead, and we priced it up and everything, and we'd be totally safe, and you'd know where we are, and..."

You held up a hand. "Whoa Eve... Slow down.... What are you talking about?" You asked, though in your heart, you knew that look in her eyes and where it was headed.

"A lost city, Mom..."

You had to try and hide your grin, though your heart clenched in fear at the memories of your lost cities. It had been better in recent years, hunting treasure, and appearing on Elena's show. But there was still always that danger... And she was only 17...

Cassie must have seen the hesitation in your eyes as she jumped in at that point. "Come on, Y/N... I'll be with her the whole time! It's not like we haven't been out in the field hundreds of times before... We'll watch each others backs. We'll even ask Sully to take us..."

Evie nodded enthusiastically and went to stand by her cousin, both of them pleading with you. "Please, Mom? I know I'm only 17, but you were doing worse at my age, and at least Cassie will be there, so you know we'll be fine... Please?" She begged, and you rolled your eyes and looked at the two of them, proud of both of them, and knowing they had a point. At least the two of them had connections and experience in the treasure hunting world. You and the Drakes had been thrown in at the deep end, just a couple of kids stealing things they shouldn't and never apologising.

If you said no to them, you knew there was every chance they'd sneak off and go anyway. Adventure called to them, just like it still did to you. Even talking about them going was making your heart race in anticipation, which was why you found yourself nodding, seeing their faces light up. "Fine. But you have to talk to your fathers..."

Evie squealed and jumped forward to hug you. "Yeah ok! Thank you so much! I promise you wont regret this!"

You laughed and waved her off, watching her head for the living room to go talk Sam into letting them go too. "Hey," you called after her, watching her turn back, beaming at you. "What's this lost city anyway?"

She smiled wider, her eyes filling with wanderlust as she breathed one word.

"Atlantis."
