Chapter 9

Y/n woke up to a very familiar scene. She was strapped to a steel table, her arms and legs were held down by chains, and a thick flat piece of leather held down her throat. She pulled against them hard, trying to escape the hell she had already seen before.

No, no, no, NO! Y/n thought to herself, trying not to hyperventilate at the current situation. Not again! Why, why again?!

Silent tears made their way down her cheeks as she choked back a sob. A door squeaked loudly on its hinges as it was opened, the squeak was then followed by rhythmic footsteps that drew closer to Y/n.

She could barely sit up to see the person before her, she lacked the energy, but she had an idea as to who it was. "Crowley..." she whispered, her voice was strained, she needed water. She heard a familiar, gruff, laugh.

"Correct, good ear sweetheart." With the confirmation, Y/n let the floodgates open and started crying. Crying because she knew what would happen next. "Where... where's Cas? And—" she sniffled. "And the boys?" She asked between sobs. "How did... how did you find me?"

Chilled metal met her exposed stomach, and she attempted to shrink back in fear. "Because," Crowley inched closer to her face "I'm the bloody king. I get what I want, where I want, when I want it." His statement made the scared girl laugh, despite how afraid she was. "So basically... you're a spoiled brat—" Y/n was cut off, letting out a shrill cry of pain as Crowley pressed the edge of the blade into her soft stomach, cutting open the flesh and causing her to shake more.

"No one likes a bully, sweetheart." He said to the bleeding girl on the table before him.

"Cas!" Y/n shrieked for her friend. "Cas, help!"

Crowley placed his blade in a small furnace, heating the metal up, not enough to melt it, but enough for it to burn a bright orange. "Your little angel pet can't help you." Crowley pulled the blade from the flames and swiftly stabbed her in the stomach, cauterizing the wound immediately to prevent her from bleeding. Y/n bit her lip hard to keep from screaming, but she failed. Instead, she let out an ear piercing shrill scream that echoed in the empty warehouse. Little did she know, Castiel was struggling to escape the two demons restraining him in the back room.

"Silence!" One of the demons whisper yelled to the fuming angel before her. Her shoulder length black hair swayed as she turned her head to snap at Castiel. His was response was a deep growl that came from his throat. "I will kill you." Castiel threatened. "I will kill all of you."

The small lady before him laughed quietly. "Not without hurting poor Kelsey too." The demon possessing Kelsey made her flip her hair and twirl the end with her finger. "You know, little Sammy seems to like Kelsey." She kicked Sam's foot, the moose was unconscious along with his brother. The back AC/DC shirt Kelsey was wearing had a small slit on the stomach from fighting Cas earlier, she had gotten slashed with a small screwdriver left behind by someone; right now the demon was the only thing keeping Kelsey's body on her feet.

The tall male demon mainly holding Castiel was Leo. He had possessed a rather strong vessel, a body builder who had a knack for adrenaline. Demetrius had helped Leo drag Sam and Dean inside, as well as keeping the angel under control. Demetrius had possessed a vessel a bit smaller than Leo's. A military captain who had just returned from the Middle East, Demetrius was still clad in the camouflage soldier's wore into battle.

Castiel struggled once more to get to the prophet in the next room, he tried prying the angel cuffs off of his wrists one more time before slumping over in exhaustion. Cas normally wasn't one for giving up, but he knew when he was defeated. In the next room, he could hear the terrified screams and cries of pain coming from Y/n. He wanted so desperately to hold her in his arms again. He could hear Y/n screaming for him from the outside with his ears, and her praying to him from inside his head. Tears ran down his cheeks as he sobbed silently.

"Y/n," he whispered, "I know what happens next. I'm supposed to die here." A teardrop landed on the back of his hand. "Do not cry, when I'm gone... I will find you again." Cas was suddenly yanked up by Leo and a different demon, while Dean and Sam were dragged away by Demetrius and Kelsey.

The boys and Castiel were dragged out into the larger empty room. Castiel, of course, was fighting the demons holding him, while the Winchester brothers were still unconscious.

Y/n's eyes teared up again at the sight of her angel. He was bloody and bruised with dark purple and almost black blotches littering his torso and face, a long and bloody gash was visible on his cheek, and his trench coat was nowhere to be seen. Instead, his white dress shirt was stained crimson and shredded beyond repair. "Oh Cas..." Y/n hung her head in shame, "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Castiel..." Crowley slapped Y/n's right cheek hard with an open hand. A visible vibrant red hand print was left in its midst. "Wake up Moose and Squirrel." Crowley told to his henchman, who were already chaining the boys up. "I want them to watch their friend die before I kill them."

Y/n's eyes widened. "N-No..." she whispered. This is where Castiel dies. She couldn't live with that. The henchmen, Leo and Demetrius, slapped the Winchesters awake, and walked back over to restrain Cas, leaving the other two demons to watch. "Morning sleeping beauties." Crowley's voice was thick with sarcasm. "How'd you sleep?" Dean spit out blood from his mouth his teeth lightly stained pink from the thick crimson liquid. "Screw you Crowley." Dean's smart ass remark made the King of Hell laugh, and he wiped away a fake tear. "Well then, onto the main event." He slowly paced over the captive angel. "Anything that happens, you can blame on her." Crowley pointed his blade at Y/n, who was crying on the table. She had to do something!

"Crowley, don't hurt him." Dean said weakly. Crowley quickly raised his blade to stab Castiel, who was glaring at Crowley with his celestial blue eyes.

"No!" Y/n yelled and pulled against her restrains.

"Take me! Take me God damn it! Don't hurt him!" Castiel looked over at Y/n, his eyes no longer the vibrant celestial blue, but once again returned to their natural, soft blue. "Y/n..."

She barely heard the words of her name fall from his lips. She just wanted him safe. "T-Take me just... just let them go." Y/n repeated, her eyes were closed from the wave of tears she was trying to keep at bay. Footsteps drew nearer to Y/n, and a cold, sharp blade was held under her throat.

"Do you truly wish to take his place?" Crowley's breath tickled her ear, causing her to gulp and nod abruptly. "Alright then. Sweetheart." She felt the blade press up and cut into the flesh of her neck, then she felt cold.

"Crowley!"

Castiel managed to put all the strength he had writhing in him into escape. So he did. The metal cuffs broke from the force he pulled his arms apart with, and all hell broke loose.

Leo was thrown from Castiel's right arm, Demetrius not far behind him. Standing up he lunged towards Crowley. But he disappeared. "You coward!" Castiel yelled into the emptiness.

"Cas..." Sam got the angel's attention, the blue eyes snapped to meet his brown ones. "Go help Y/n... she doesn't... she doesn't have long." Cas' eyes widened and watered. But he nodded and ran over to Y/n's body. He undid the restraints holding her to the table and brought her into his lap, Cas held her in his arms. "Y/n?" Tears dropped off of his face and landed on her cheeks. He held his hand over her neck, and a healing white light shone as the tissue of her neck knitted itself back together. After the light vanished, and Y/n was healed, Cas propped her up so she was straddling his waist and facing him, her head leant against his shoulder.

"Please don't leave yet... I didn't even get to tell you..." He held under her knees and carefully stood up. "I love you..." he whispered into her ear as her heart gave a final weak beat, and finally rested.
