Chapter 25

⚠️ Brief smut ⚠️

The next day seemed to be better than the one before. Y/n woke around noon to Castiel peppering her forehead with light kisses. A smile rose to her face. "Good afternoon." His morning voice hummed lowly in her ear. "Good afternoon yourself." Y/n pulled him in for a quick kiss and got off the bed to go brush her teeth.

After the usual brush and rinse Y/n walked back out into the main room just in time to see Cas pulling his shirt off. She walked up behind him and ran her hand over his chest. "Mmm, yes please." She jested lightly.

Cas was quick to turn around and back Y/n up against the closest wall. He slammed his hands on either side of her head, trapping her between his arms.

Her breath shuddered when he leaned his head close and gently nipped at her neck. "Don't tempt me." His voice was deliciously sexual. His breath fanned across Y/n's face. He was extremely close. "I might just feel the need to..."

His lips brushed against hers lightly and Y/n's eyes fluttered shut ready to accept it, but his warmth left her, making her eyes shoot open.

He was grinning like an idiot. "What?"

He's gonna regret that later.

"No I don't think I will." He steadily fastened the buttons of his shirt and pulled up his pants so the shirt tails were tucked in. But when he got to his tie he seemed to struggle with it.

Y/n let out an exasperated sigh and calmly walked over to him, taking the tie from his hands and skillfully twisting and looping it into a neat Windsor knot. She patted his chest lightly and turned to get herself changed.

"Y/n," Cas' voice drained of all playfulness and turned serious. "I don't want you to leave my side, I want to keep you where I can see you." He fiddled with the end of his tie and looked at a random spot on the wall. Y/n knew what was going on; he was anxious.

Her eyebrows scrunched together. "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing, it's just..." he turned his mouth upwards into a smile. "It's nothing."

She could tell it was a lie but didn't press it too hard. Whatever the reason it was probably a good one.

After they both got changed and ready for the day they walked out of their room and downstairs to wait by the car, but it was gone. Dean's precious vehicle was nowhere to be seen.

Cas disappeared from Y/n's side and appeared in a matter of seconds. "Sam and Kelsey are still sleeping, Dean is probably passed out in a bar somewhere."

"Well should we wake them up?"

The angel put a hand on his chin in thought, then nodded, then once again disappeared.

Y/n heard a high pitched scream come from upstairs and her feet hit the pavement steps. Once she climbed the stairs she burst into the neighboring room. Sam had a tired look on his face while Kelsey held her chest and tried to regulate her breathing.

"That's a nice wake up call you've got there." Sam's voice sounded contemptuous.

Cas spat back a short thank you as he looked around the small room. "Where is Dean?"

Sam sat up fully and looked at the spare bed, one whose sheets were still neatly folded from the previous morning. "He isn't back?" Kelsey yawned and rubbed the sleep from her blue eyes.

"Back?" Y/n questioned the shorter female. "Back from where?"

The taller Winchester swung his legs around to the edge of the bed and, with a brief sigh, stood from his sleeping place. "He was pissed last night so I told him to go to a bar to blow off some steam." He scratched his head and lumbered over to Dean's bed. "Guess he got too wasted to drive."

"That leaves us without a ride." Kelsey groaned into her lumpy pillow and flopped backwards onto the bed. Sam cracked a slight smile. "Not necessarily."

Y/n folded her around her chest and gave Sam a look that a mother would give her child that was caught taking cookies from the jar. "Please don't hot wire a car."

"Couldn't Cas find him?" Kelsey questioned as she stretched her shoulders.

Sam gave a quiet chuckle to himself. "That wouldn't be an issue if—"

"I carved Enochian sigils into both of their ribs so angels cannot locate them." Cas leafed through one of the hotel's Bibles and furrowed his brow. "These books are extremely incorrect."

Kelsey and Y/n both gaped at him.

"Are we just going to ignore the fact that you said that?" Kelsey exclaimed softly.

Cas looked over at Kelsey nonchalantly with a neutral expression, he then walked over to the two girls. "Did you want me to do the same to you?" He asked seriously, hands raised with an open palm.

Y/n locked eyes with the angel in front of her, eyes full of skepticism. Cas placed his hand under her chin and tilted her head upwards. "Would I ever do anything to intentionally harm you?" He pecked a kiss on her lips.

The human gave a soft smile. "No, I guess you wouldn't."

"It'll be a bit painful, but only for a minute." Cas placed his palm on Y/n's sternum and etched the sigils into her bones. She hunched over in pain and had to hold on tightly to Cas' trench coat to avoid collapsing.

The pain subsided and only a dull ache remained.

"I won't be able to find you unless you tell me where you are." Cas moved a few of her h/c strands away from her face. "So please, please be careful."

Y/n nodded as the ache slowly ebbed away. "Call you, got it." She groaned quietly and returned to her normal standing position. "That actually was that bad compared to other injuries I've had." She faced Kelsey and gave a goofy smirk. "Not that bad at all."

Kelsey still seemed skeptical, but reluctantly stood and allowed the angel to work on her as well. When he carved it into her she bit her lip, almost breaking the pink skin. She almost recoiled away from him.

He finished and stepped back from the short woman, who was kind of upset, understandably.

"Let's go get Dean then." Sam had dressed himself in the time that it took for the girls to get all sigil-ed up. Y/n, Kelsey, and Cas followed Sam out the door and downstairs to the parking lot. "If I were Dean," Sam glanced around at the surrounding buildings. "Where would I go to drink my feelings away?"

He snatched up a phone book from a nearby phone booth and flipped through the pages. "I guess a twenty four hour strip bar would work."

They've got all day strip bars? Y/n was sincerely disappointed with how far humanity has spiraled.

Sam told Cas the address and grabbed onto his shoulder, then onto Kelsey's shoulder. "Everyone hold on."

Y/n felt him wrap an arm around her waist so she squeezed her eyes closed, then she felt that familiar weightless feeling. When her feet hit solid pavement again she opened her eyes and low and behold, they were in front of an all day booby bar. "Gross." She commented under her breath as they walked through the doors.

The stench of alcohol, sweat, and sex hit her like a ton of bricks. She slapped a hand over her mouth and nose to try to keep the smell from implanting into her brain.

Sam walked around and asked a dancer if she had seen Dean, when she pointed him out at the bar Sam gave her three twenty dollar bills and headed over to the bar where Dean's drunk silhouette could be seen flirting with a pretty bartender.

"Hey bud," Sam patted his shoulders which obviously startled the poor drunk bastard, he almost reached for his pistol until he saw it was Sam. "Sammy! How nice ov-ya-to join me!" He patted the seat next to him enthusiastically. "Sit! Have a drink 'r two. You need ta loosen uppa bit yeah?" He smiled drunkly and shook Sam's shoulders with a playful smirk.

"No, we need to go home." Sam hooked his arms under Dean's armpits and hoisted him up with ease. "No, no, no! One more please, then I'll go wherever you want." He slurred cheerfully as he grabbed the last of the line of ten shots and threw it back, drinking all the alcohol in one go. He made a bitter face but smiled afterwards. "Ah! Now that is great!" He smirked, laughed stupidly, then snapped like a folding chair and fell to the ground; unconscious.

"Dammit, Dean." Sam picked him up and threw one of his arms over his shoulder. "Cas, can you help me with him?" The angel was slightly glaring at the hunter in question but took his other arm and helped Sam drag him out of the bar and to the impala, which sat in the otherwise vacant lot.

Sam fished the keys from Dean's inside jacket pocket and unlocked the car. Kelsey moved the seat so it leaned forward and allowed Sam to practically throw Dean's unconscious body in the back seat. After making sure he was secure he exhaled and smiled bitterly. "At least we found him." Kelsey tried to remain positive.

"Yeah, we did." Sam ran his hands through his hair in frustration. "There won't be room for you two due to Mel Gibson over here." He jammed his thumb at his brother. "Are you okay winging it back to the hotel?" Cas gave a curt nod before grasping onto Y/n's waist tightly and taking them back to Sam, Dean, and Kelsey's hotel room.

Y/n took a second to reorient herself then turned to question her celestial boyfriend. "What's wrong?"

Cas opened his mouth to say something but Y/n cut him off. "Don't tell me 'nothing' or 'I'm fine' because something is seriously wrong. You've been extremely protective today; not that I don't appreciate it. But I can tell that there's something going on."

The angel sighed and pulled Y/n in for a tight hug. "Last night I overheard Sam and Dean arguing." He started rubbing circles on her back with his thumb. "Sam was angry because Dean is being insensitive towards us, and told him to act 'more human' as he put it. Or 'less like dad' as Sam put it delicately."

"He said that next time you're in trouble that Sam could help you, because Dean won't anymore."

Y/n mulled over her thoughts and stared at the ground. "I do get into trouble a lot..." She placed a hand on her chin in thought.

"What's going on in that mind of yours?" Cas kissed her forehead softly. She looked up into Cas' eyes with determination.

"I want you or someone to teach me how to fight."
