Chapter 36
Teddy's POV
Hilly turned on the light but shut her eyes a soon as it shinned, I looked at her, studied her almost. I said nothing, just looked on. She was pale, skinny, hair was a mess, her eyes were red from crying. She opened her blood shot eyes slowly and winced at the brightness.
"You really let yourself go" I said softly as I sat back down
"You don't seem to care much" She grimaced
"Well, I've been caught up in a lot, I know I didn't come down to see you but I thought you were alright, I thought if you weren't you would have called like you usually do" I shrugged
"Well what exactly have you been caught up in, you're precious little band" She scowled laying back down
"Listen, I only got the letter today, I've been caught up in work, because I auditioned for the band after your incident with Barbie the switch blade princess, my mum had me studying for a test that gets you into the best collage for girls in all of Liverpool, I've been studying day and night mum wouldn't let me out of the house" I explained
"Barbie and the switch blade princess?" Hilly said, looking at me with a fed up expression
"Let it slide" I said
"You could have at least told me that you were caught up in stuff" She sighed heavily
"Like I said, I thought you were okay" I shrugged
"Well I wasn't and haven't been, you've been so focused on getting in a band that you forgot about me, all I've done for you, now you'll probably leave me like everyone else" She let out a sob as I bit my lip
"I'm not leaving you, I know you don't want me gone, but understand this is important to me no guarantee I'll be famous, and if I am then I'll take you with me were ever I go, I'm not going to leave you and you're not gonna loose me" I said with a soft sympathetic voice, she stayed faced to the wall and didn't say anything
"How do I know you're not lying?" She asked weakly
"Because, I may be a good liar, but I'd never lie to you" I stood up and fixed the collar on my dress
"John's birthday party is tomorrow at his mums, he wants you to come" I said writing the address on a piece of paper
"Why didn't he ask himself?" She questioned
"John's been going through a lot with his mum, hasn't had the time" I sighed placing the piece of paper on her bedside table
"You should come...it would mean a lot to John" With that I exited her room.
I hated to see her like this.
