nine.

Noah busted into the dark computer lab, "You stole Flash's car? Awesome." Ned spoke, "Leeds is Peter on the other end of that line?"

"Noah, hi." Ned spoke a guilty smile on his face, "Ned. Give me the phone."

Maddie stood awkwardly near by, "Parker I swear to god! You're supposed to be on the dance floor with your date. What the hell are you thinking?"

"I can't just let Liz's dad get away with all of this!" Peter exclaimed, "You're not an Avenger, Parker. Not really."

"Is Peter Spiderman?" Maddie asked moments later, "Please never repeat that sentence to anyone," Noah pleaded with the blonde, "Okay, but like is he?"

"Maybe. I am not at liberty to say."

"Uh- can I talk to Peter for a second?" Ned asked, "Why?" Noah narrowed her eyes at him, but handed the headset off, "Mr. Happy does not seem to like you very much," Ned spoke, "And he said something about a flight, taking off in 9."

"What?" Peter asked from the other end of the line and Noah asked out loud, "Иисус Христос" Noah muttered tying her hair back. (Translation: Jesus Christ)

"Maddie, do me a favor, stay with Ned. I'll be back...hopefully." Noah stated, "Wait, Noah! One more thing!"

Noah turned around and Maddie cupped her face pressing a gentle kiss to her lips, "Good luck, I think?"

Noah stared into Maddie's eyes, a smile tugging at her lips,"Wow....okay. I will see you soon."

Noah's mood turned right back around as she broke into someone's car, pulling the heels off her feet quickly, "I should've switched shoes with her. Damn it!" she was becoming quickly irritated as she was clearly doing something wrong with the wiring.

The red head sighed in relief as the engine finally came to life, "Thank you HYDRA." Noah muttered, "Okay, Ned. Where the hell is Peter's phone now?"

"Old industrial park in Brooklyn."

"Lovely." Noah muttered tossing her heels into the passenger seat, "Tell Peter, I'm coming right behind him."

The former assassin crept around the old building quietly, "Yeah but I understand that selling weapons to criminals is wrong." Noah heard Peter say.

She twirled her knife around in her hand nervously, it had been a while since she did any of this.

"How do you think Stark paid for that tower? Or any of his little toys? Those people, Pete. Those people up there, the rich and the powerful, they do whatever they want. Guys like us, you and me they don't care about us. We build their roads, and we fight all their wars, and everything, but they don't care about us. We have to pick up after 'em. We have to eat their table scraps. That's how it is."

Noah sighed, people like this always talked so damn much.

"I know you know what I'm talking about Peter." he stated, "Why are you telling me all this?" Peter asked, and that right there was when Noah knew there was a plan behind the man's long drawn out speech.

"It's now or never, Noah." she muttered to herself.

Noah ran forward, sliding down knocking the man off balance, unfortunately she did not anticipate the weapon he had powering up while giving his dramatic villain speech. "Watch out!"

The teenager punched the man in front of her, "I really hope you had a plan!" she exclaimed, "Cause that thing is tearing up the beams that are- you know keeping the building up right."

"I'm sorry Peter," Liz's dad spoke, "I should kill you, but there is a child over there," Noah sloppily motioned to Peter, "So I'm not gonna do that."

"I'm still older than you!" Peter shouted, and Noah sent her knife spinning through the air into Liz's dad's leg, he shouted out in pain, "Sorry, did I strike a nerve?"

Moments later the final structural beam blew out causing the ceiling to fall, burying Peter. "Peter!" Noah exclaimed.

Noah abandoned the man, ripping her knife away from his leg, and ran towards the pile of rubble, "Fuck you, you stupid stupid, child." she muttered, tears welling up behind her eyes. Noah realized that she was being illogical. Peter was buried, and she was letting the other man get away.

Yet she couldn't bring herself to leave her friend alone there, her moms had taught her better than to leave people behind.
