┍W┚ᴇᴇᴋs ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ᴍɪᴀ ᴀɴᴅ sɪʀɪᴜs had grown into a comfortable routine. Mia would wake up at six and make two cups of strong coffee in the morning, butter some toast and grab an apple before leaving for her summer job at the cafe nearby. Sirius would sleep in until nine before he did some of his summer Transfiguration homework. Then, he'd head out to the cafe to see Mia before apparating to James'. After seeing James, he'd apparate back to the flat and make dinner. Mia would finish her shift and walk back to the flat with Sirius waiting with dinner and the latest news.
"So how are James and Lily?" She asked, twirling her fork in her spaghetti. He had tried her mother's recipe and made it taste almost identical to her cooking.
"Um. It's more of James and Cinthjgjekw." He garbled out the rest, leaving Mia to raise her eyebrows in confusion.
"James and who?" She asked, cutting her meatball in two. Sirius coughed before clearly saying,
"Cynthia." Mia dropped her fork.
"So, James and Cynthia are together? What about Lily?" Mia asked, taking a sip from her tea.
"Lily doesn't like James. At least that's what she says. Cynthia does like James. And James likes her back. So here we are!" Sirius smiled gleefully and took a gulp from his coffee.
"Are you still drinking coffee? Sirius, we talked about this. You won't get any sleep!" Mia chastised him before taking a sip from her tea.
"Your tea still has cathline! So you're no better!"
"Caffeine, Sirius. It's caffeine." She took another sip, ultimately finishing it. "I'm only having a mug, your cup is the size of a jug."
"Whatever. How was dinner?" He asked, pushing his mug of coffee aside. "Did you notice the pinch of ca-."
"Cayenne. I liked it! Tastes just like Mum's. Anyway, Mum wants to meet you!" Sirius stopped fiddling with fork.
"What? When? Where? Are you coming?!" He quickly asked.
"Relax, darling. It's only a little dinner at her house." Mia chuckled at his anxiousness. "But if you pull the illness excuse, I'll blank you for the next decade."
"Yeah. I won't. I want to meet her." Sirius picked up the plates and put them in the sink. Then, waving his wand, he cleaned them and put them in the cupboard. "When?"
"Thursday?" It was Tuesday at the time.
"I'm alright with that." He pulled her up and led them to the sofa. "Let's watch something."
"Wait. I need to get my purse from the cafe!" Mia suddenly realised, after her eyes lingered on the kitchen bowl where they usually resided. "What if someone breaks in to the cafe?"
"Do you want me to come with you?" Sirius asked, his fingers dancing around her shoulder in many different patterns.
"It's just around the corner. You pick the film and I'll bring back a bag of popcorn from the corner shop." Mia gently kissed his forehead before getting up from the sofa. Grabbing her coat from the hook in the doorway, she turned back to Sirius, who was still looking at all of the films that they could watch. "Don't pick something boring!" She shouted before heading out.
Turning the corner, Mia swiftly walked towards the locked cafe that was in front of her sight. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see a man, roughly six foot, with a scruffy beard and a slash that went right through his nose from the top of his forehead to the left of his cheek. But before he could suspect her looking, Mia moved forward.
Yet, sitting on the pavement in front of the cafe, she could see a haggard woman hysterically crying with her shoulders shaking up and down.
Reaching for her wand-
She forgot her wand.
And even if she did have it, she'd be expelled from Hogwarts for underage magic.
"It'll be fine. She seems harmless." Mia whispered softly to herself before quickly skipping forward to the door. Hurriedly pulling out the keys to the cafe, she unlocked it and hurried in before locking it from the inside.
"Phew." She sighed in relief before turning on the lights. Brown eyes searched for anything out of the ordinary.
The cups were still hanging from the hooks, the television was off, the chairs were neatly tucked under the tables, and a man was sitting on the cou-
A man was sitting on the counter.
Mia immediately jolted and looked at him.
He looked back, with a weird sense of danger to him. His dark eyes were burning holes into her.
"C-can I help you?" She asked, watching as he slowly got off from the counter and edged towards her.
"I'm a simple man with a family and kids to feed. I was assigned a task." He declared, taking one step towards her. She edged back, before realising that she'd been standing right behind the door.
"What kind of task?" She asked, her heart beating ten times faster when she saw a wand poking out of his coat pocket.
He was a wizard.
Shit.
"Sweetheart, a dear friend of mine called in a favour." He whispered gently, taking another step, now in front of her.
"W-what's the favour?" She asked, her hands shaking behind her back. If she tried to unlock the door and speed out, it would be pointless as she'd have to turn her back to open the door and the door had a complicated locking system. Not to mention that she'd go without her purse.
"You want this?" The man asked, pulling out her small purse from his pockets. "Mia?"
"How-?"
"Property of Mia Park." He read, showing her the best writing on the inside of the purse. "Mia. What a pretty name? Is it your full name?"
"Yes." He slowly handed the purse to her, watching as she slowly took it.
"You wanna know what my name is?" She cringed as he tucked a stray hair behind her ear, dragging his finger down her jaw.
"Uh-."
"Antonin. Antonin Dolohov." He whispered, watching as Mia's face turned pale with fear. "Ahh." He exclaimed. "So you've heard of me!"
Everyone knew of Antonin Dolohov, the 'deranged lunatic that killed half of Westminster'. He'd killed a dozen of muggles, absolutely massacring them. It was on the Daily Prophet for weeks.
Rumour had it that Antonin was a part of the rising extremist movement of dark wizards with an aryan complex.
"N-no." She whispered, her knees trembling as she struggled to stay upright. "It's very nice to meet you Antonin, but I'll be on my way. I've got my husband and baby waiting for me at home."
"Wait. Don't you wanna know about the favour?" He asked, his hand grabbing her wrist with such strength that Mia was sure she would have bruises.
"Maybe another ti-!"
"My dear friend Rodolphus and his wife came to visit a few weeks ago. His wife said she wanted me to find her blood traitor cousin's little whore and slit her pretty throat. She gave me the address, of her workplace and told me to get it done. Slowly and painfully." He whispered, dragging his finger across her neck.
"A-and?" Mia asked.
"Well, do you know Sirius Black?" He asked, smirking as her face turned white. "Of course you do, Mia. I've been following you for weeks."
"What do you want?" She whispered, her eyes slowly starting to tear up at his iron grip on her wrist.
"I want to fulfill my task." He muttered, "Such a pity that a pretty face had to be wasted." He pulled out an object and swung-
"Wai-." She blacked out after a sharp pain. And everything went blank.
Sirius huffed after looking at the wall clock. It was 10:15. Mia had left at 9:50.
"Where is that woman?" He whispered before grabbing his coat and rushing out.
Searching the empty streets, he found no one. Then, getting more worried, Sirius ran to the cafe, which was locked when he'd tried to open the door. Only in a split second, did he realise that there was a small note stuck to the glass door.
Surprise, cousin dearest.
Sad that you weren't here for the show.

Rage. Utter rage was all Sirius felt. He had to get in there. Calming himself down through the hot tears that were dripping down his face, he focused.
Destination.
Determination.
Deliberation.
With a sharp tug, he was in.
And lying on the floor like a discarded doll, was Mia Park, the love of his life, bleeding out crimson blood onto the polished floor.
:)
Don't worry, we've still got two sections remember!
