Black, shaggy and big.

It stared at her with its huge eyes that had sparkles of grey in them, almost a dog version of Sirius.

Mia walked into the kitchen, the dog following her eagerly with their feet padding softly on the floorboards of Sirius' London flat. "Sirius?" She walked around and walked into the living room.

"Sirius?" He wasn't there. It was like he vanished.

Turning back to the dog, Mia gently petted its head and whispered, "Where is that mangy old mutt?". The dog whined.

"What? Did you hear something?" She asked, suddenly getting back up, still holding her towel to her chest as she ran back into the living room.

This time the dog didn't follow.

"Sirius?" Empty. Where on earth could he be?

"Mia!" She turned around swiftly, but suddenly remembering her lack of clothes, she ran towards the sofa and quickly pulled a t-shirt on herself. Turning back, she watched Sirius walk into the living room.

"Hi?" She squeaked, tugging at the t-shirt that rested just mid-thigh.

"You're wearing my t-shirt." He simply stated, his face unreadable.

"Yes, I am. Where were you?"

"You're wearing my t-shirt." He said again, slowly walking towards her, backing her against the sofa.

"Yeah, do you want it back? I can take it o-." He simply kissed her. She kissed back, letting her hand linger on the back of his neck. He wrapped his arms around her as he moved down onto the sofa. Not before she stopped him, "Why are you deflecting my question?"

"Um what?" He asked, sheepishly looking at the cushion under her.

"Where were you? And where has that dog gone?" She asked, sitting up. He sat down next to her and took her hands in his, resting them on his knee.

"C'est moi?" He awkwardly let out, watching as Mia's face went blank for a few seconds before letting out a laugh.

"Nah. I'm open with keeping the dog, Sirius. No need to hide! Where is he? Snuffles?" She asked, getting up for three seconds before Sirius pulled her back onto the sofa.

"I'm serious here. I'm the dog!" He smiled at her confused face, the way she was so expressive. It was cute.

"You. You're Snuffles?" Mia asked, her eyebrow raising up. "How is that even- You'd have registered. If you became an animagus, you would have registered, you aren't that stu-." Upon seeing the guilty look on his face, she shot up.

"Um." He started but Mia raised her hand in order to silence him.

"You are telling me, that you Sirius Orion Black, are an animagus? An illegal, unregistered animagus?", jabbing her index finger at his chest, she searched his eyes for a lie yet all she saw was deep honesty.

"Well, what do you think?" He asked, scratching the back of his head.

"It's bloody stupid." She retorted, but smiled earnestly, "but brilliant!"

He smiled nervously but watched as she began to ask another question.

"How did you do it on your own?" She asked, narrowing her eyes as she pulled her hair out of her towel.

"Not just me." Sirius mumbled.

"Let me guess, James, Peter, Remus and you?"

"No, just Peter, James and I. Remus refused, saying something like 'I have much more common sense than the three of you combined so I won't be accompanying you three idiots on another stupid plan to get us expelled.'" He mimicked Remus' voice, making Mia smile before going back to her strict face.

"D-don't register but just don't go turning yourself into a dog near any aurors or hitwizards. You never know." She muttered before walking towards the bedroom. "I need to change into my nightdress."

"Wait! We need to get dinner!" Sirius yelled after her, before realising that she couldn't him so he skipped towards the bedroom. "Wear something casual."

"How casual?" She asked, holding up two pairs of jeans. "And did you pack my whole wardrobe?"

"Grabbed everything that I could. Even some of the very sexy lingerie." He wiggled his eyebrows before smoothly dodging the very badly aimed slipper that she had thrown. "You, my dear, need to improve that aim of yours."

"Shut Up." She grumbled before pulling on some denim shorts and a polka dotted top. Smearing on some lip balm, and then spritzing some light perfume, Mia walked out of the bedroom with Sirius following.

While pulling on her trainers, Mia asked "Where are we getting dinner? You know I don't like-."

"Aubergines, courgettes and mushrooms." He smirked and gave her a peck on the forehead before apparating them to the rooftop. "Let's take the bike again." She begrudgingly nodded before pulling on the helmet that he handed to her. And they were off.

After a five minute ride, the pair got to a random High Street in London and walked into a chip shop near the corner of the road. Mia grabbed Sirius and sat them near the door.

"What do you want? I'll have the six onion rings and a portion of chips." She mused, after carefully examining the menu.

"Onion rings? What are they?" Sirius asked, scrunching his face up at the thought of onions being worn as rings.

"Uneducated pure blood." He gave her a slight nudge with his foot, "They're basically the rings of an onion. You know the hoops that pop out when you cut the onion? Yeah it's that, battered and fried." Sirius grimaced.

"Battered?! What are they doing to the poor thing."

"Oh Merlin. Batter. Like cake batter. You know. A flour mix. I'll order eight and we can split them." Arching her head around, Mia attempted to look for the waitress, "Where is the wait-."

"What would you like today?" A teenaged boy popped out from nowhere and smiled at Mia. "I can get you and your friend-."

"Boyfriend. And I'd like eight onion rings, a strip-burger and chips." Sirius smoothly spoke, watching as the boy turned towards him.

"Oh. Okay, and what would the lovely lady like? Might I suggest the cod-."

"I'll have a strip burger with chips. And a can of coke." She turned her head up from the menu, "Please."

"Coming right up! Would the gentleman like anything to drink?"

"I'll share the coke." The boy nodded and sped off. Mia gave Sirius a look.

"A strip burger?"

"Walburga never let me have Muggle food. James and I snuck out of the Potters, into a Chinese take-away. The sweet and sour chicken was amazing."

"You have so much more to learn, Black." Mia amusedly spoke, resting her chin onto her two palms.

"I guess you'll have to teach me, Park." She smirked and gave him a quick peck on the lips.

"I sure will."

After the hearty meal, in which Sirius discovered the wonders of an onion ring, he dragged them to a disco called 'Funk Town'. Seeing the muggles with their very elaborate clothing, Mia waved her wand and transformed their clothing into something that would fit the context.

"What are you wearing?" Sirius asked, looking at the ugly pair of trousers on Mia.

"Bell-bottoms." Grabbing his hand, she dragged him into the dance-floor. Brightly coloured neon checkered lit under them as people danced their way through the night. Sirius danced along, making Mia giggle and attempt to dance as well.

Many hours passed and they were both getting extremely tired so Sirius called it a day and walked them back to the motorbike. Clutching onto Sirius with all her life, they soon flew back home.

Yet all she could think of was her father's worried face.
