They'd been to Honeydukes, Flourish and Blotts, Scrivenshafts and were walking towards The Three Broomsticks. At least Mia was still wearing his jacket.
"Sirius." She pulled him out of his thoughts as they came to stop outside of the pub. "Thank you."
"For what?" He asked, confused at what she was thanking him about.
"Everything." Everything?
"Such as?" He pushed on, stepping closer to her until they were right in front of each other.
Mia shoved a lump of snow onto his face, "Taking this snowball to your face!" She soon immediately after looking at his clearly vengeful face, dashed inside the pub, knocking into a group of third years and tripping over a chair leg. She promptly sat down at an empty booth and ordered two butterbeers.
Sirius walked into the restaurant, a grin on his now wet face. He spotted Mia at the booth in the far corner of the pub, anxiously looking around for him. Taking a tissue from a table, he patted his face down before walking over to her. "Hello, Love."
"Hi, darling! Sit down, I've ordered us some butterbeer!" Mia feigned a giggle and shuffled so he could sit next to her.
"That's lovely. Here, I thought you'd like to share some of this chocolate with me." He passed a bar of chocolate to her, watching as her face showed clear suspicion.
"What?"
"Chocolate. Sharing it with you."
"You didn't buy anything from Honeydukes."
"Nicked it off Moony."
"Remus?"
"Yeah. Here, let me feed you since you've forgotten." He broke off a piece and moved it in the air like an airplane before placing it in her mouth. "Good girl." He patted her hair, making her feel confused as to chuck her butterbeer on him when it arrived or flirt with him so much that he got sick of her and dumped her.
"Here's the butterbeer. Pay when you leave with Rosie, she's over at the door." The girl pointed to Madame Rosmerta, who was enthusiastically greeting customers at the door.
"Yep." Sirius replied, taking a sip from his hot butterbeer while Mia took a gulp from her cold one. "How did you know which one to order for me?"
"Marlene told me you liked them hot."
"I like mine beautifully cool." He liked hot butterbeers and it slightly pissed him off that Marlene was meddling with his date. Especially after they had their fight in the courtyard.
"I'm sure you do." He grabbed her now half full mug of butterbeer and dumped his into it. "What are you doing to the poor butterbeer."
"Letting the two combinations merge together and become something wonderfully delicious. Like you and I could be." Mia raised an eyebrow at it but said nothing as she took a small sip from it. It was great.
The cold butterbeer was very sweet and the hot one was slightly bitter from the cinnamon. Sirius had surprisingly managed to make something well balanced.
Sirius took the mug and took a gulp. "See, tasty."
"I guess you're right." He smirked. "About the butterbeer."
"Well come on, we could be wonderful together, just like the butterbeer." He reasoned.
"What happened when you drink too much of the butterbeer and realise that you're sick of the taste."
"You cleanse your palate and drink more. Besides, how could I ever get bored of you?"
"You get bored of everyone. Even sexy Marlene."
"Marlene was too much."
"She was the epitome of perfect. You got bored of perfect."
"Maybe I don't want perfect."
"What do you want, then?"
"You."
"What am I?"
"My future girlfriend."
"Says who?"
"Says me and soon you." He watched as she studied the patterns on his jacket. "Look, you don't have to date me, like you said, I can obviously just leave you alone forever and get out of your lovely hair."
"How many girls have you taken to Hogsmeade."
"How much water is there in the Black Lake." A lot.
"Fine. I'll consider it." He grinned, mission successful. "But the moment you get bored of me, I'm moving to Mexico, changing my name to Guadalupe and marrying a man named Pedro."
"That's very specific." He commented on her plans.
Yet she didn't stop there. "And I want you to talk to Marlene. Properly." She watched as he grimaced. "Hey, I'm not going out with a man who still hasn't gotten over his last one."
"Who said I wasn't over Marlene?" He asked, furrowing his brow as he took another gulp from his butterbeer concoction.
"Amortentia, need I say more?" She asked, taking a sip from her mug. He seemed to be lost in his thoughts and feelings for a bit but eventually nodded.
"When 'Lenie gives me the go ahead, I'll graciously accept your offer." She smirked at his surprised face.
"Why would you need her permission to date me?" He asked, quizzically.
"Would you be alright with Potter dating your last fling?"
"Fair enough." They both took another sip.
