"I still don't understand how you smell of cherries?" She mumbled, turning around to gaze at his still unconscious face. Hesitantly, she raised her hand up to his cheek with a few days of stubble before tracing his features with her index finger.

His face was always going to look like it was crafted by the gods themselves.

Exploration of Sirius Face Island done, Mia lowered her hand back down to his chest. Breathing in again, she felt like she could stay there forever but a sudden coldness rushed over her and shook her from her daydream.

"Amos." She whispered in realisation.

How stupid could she be to act in jealousy and foolishly toy with the handsome Hufflepuff's heart? He was a sweet boy who deserved better. Anyone but Mia herself.

"You know, waking up to hear a girl say another man's name isn't exactly a kink of mine." Her eyes darted back up to his face, now awake and smiling down at her. "Unless it's yours, because I could start saying Clackton—."

"I think you'd be saying a few more names other than Clackton." She grumbled, before pushing herself away from their embrace.

"Jealous, Park?" He asked, now resting with his hands folded behind his head.

"Comfortable much, Black?" She asked, before grabbing a pillow and throwing it at him, "Get out of here." Please don't leave

"Nope. I'm quite comfortable here." He smiled cheekily, watching unknowingly as Mia took a glimpse outside her bed curtains to find two of the other Ravenclaw girls giggling and chatting amongst themselves. Marlene and Pandora were nowhere to be seen.

Shutting the curtains again, Mia turned to look at Sirius.

"Are you sure you want to stay here?"

"Quite sure."

"Maybe you could enjoy the company of Tracy Goodwin and Chicago Delongpre?" She asked teasingly, "Paint each other's nails and gossip?"

"My darling, I looove gossip. Minnie and I gossip on a regular basis whilst sipping on some earl grey tea!" Sirius rose up before stepping towards her. "You should join us for the gossip."

"What do I have to do to join? Get a detention?" She asked, stepping forward.

"Well, Yeah. Want me to help you get a detention? We could just skip to a broom closet—." He stepped forward until they were so close that Mia could see the light grey flecks in the stormy grey eyes he possessed. She could feel his gaze on her as she was about to step back but he stopped her.

"Come back to me? I'll do anything, Mia. You want me to find the lost diadem of your dear house? You want me to climb Mt Everest? You want me to bring you a piece of the Pyramid of Giza? I'll do it. I know I was the one to break it up but I was trying to protect—." She gently pressed her lips against his, feeling him relax out of his hassled state of panic. Sirius didn't deepen the kiss, he simply chose to wrap his arms around her and rest his head on her shoulder.

Mia sighed, before deciding that she needed to do what was right.

"I need to go do something, Sirius." She whispered, before breaking the embrace to walk away and find someone.

"Amos?" She asked, finding the Hufflepuff outside the common room. He was holding a bag of fresh flowers, and a stack of chocolate bars.

"I came to see you. Tracy said you were here." He smiled, before attempting to hand her the flowers.

Mia lightly shook her head and she felt like vomiting out of guilt and shame.

"Um. It was very nice of you, Amos." She breathed in, "But—."

"Did I get the wrong type of flowers?"

"No, it's—."

"You're allergic to them?"

"Not exactly, I—."

"Are you still feeling unwell, I can escort you back up to your dorm—." He stepped forward, but Mia stepped back and winced as she saw his face fall.

"Are you breaking up with me?" He whispered, watching with realisation as Mia nodded shyly.

"It's not you, it's just that—." She was cut off as the entrance to the Common Room swung open and Sirius walked out.

"Him?" Amos asked, "its him that you want?"

"Amos, you're a sweet guy and I'm sure that there is a girl or guy out there looking for you." Mia paused, "But I can't give you what you need."

"What do I need—."

"Stability."

"Oh." He muttered before looking down at the flowers in his hand. "It's alright." He attempted to smile but she could see his lip trembling.

Meanwhile, Sirius just stood there watching in the corner.

Mia hugged Amos, in a sort of farewell gesture and the Hufflepuff nodded before walking away.

"Yes." She suddenly broke the awkward silence, turning to Sirius. "I'll give you a try."

"A try for what?" He asked, scratching the back of his neck.

"A decent relationship." He smiled.

"But we're doing it all over again. I basically don't know you anymore." Mia smiled before walking towards the staircase for the School Kitchens.

"Hey, Mia!" He shouted after her. She turned around, feigning confusion.

"What do you want, Black?"

"A date. Go out with me?" He asked, smiling.

"How about no." She skipped up the stairs, leaving him a smiling mess.
