🌸Interview(61): A chat with Shivran86
Hello people!
It's your one and only Wattpad shaker, Lilly😁
(I wish😝)
It's another Saturday and I have another smart author in the house, I am talking about Shivran86
So, the book that actually got recommended last year had been unpublished but since I already reached out, we decided to just do a general interview about her writing🤗

So first question, when did you start writing and what has your writing journey being like?
S86: My journey began with writing articles in a student newspaper. Later on I opened one account on Wattpad. It has been more than a year and I have improved a lot. Even though I spend a significant time writing offline, I share some works on Wattpad.
Li: Hmm, so what is writing to you?
S86: Writing has given me answers, I feel like it is my call. I love to incorporate philosophical themes and essential elements of love, bringing life to my characters.
It has helped me find a place where I can be me, myself, without fear.
Writing has helped me create a world of my own❤️
Li: Where do you take your inspirations from?
S86: I take my inspiration from mythological and historical characters.
Li: How does mythology and history inspire you?
S86: I have been in love with history and mythology from an early age. Mythology teaches us a lot of things through fantastical plots about love, good and bad, magic and justice plus so much more!
These stories have moulded me like a fairytale builds a child. I have fallen in love with the tales and gods of the ancient, and they inspire me to use them in my own works.
Li: Waoh, that's amazing. So when the rest of us are dreaming of Peter pan, you are somewhere dreaming of Vedic myths?😂😂😂
S86: Something like that...☺️
Li: I see you have a lot of work on myths and stuffs. What are your thoughts on the old gods?
S86: Much of them have either been suppressed by the emergence of religions and many of them have been misinterpreted.
The old gods are fascinating. They are diverse, flexible and their imperfections are beautiful. As they say, old is gold.
The old gods taught us more about life, I feel, and with less rigidity.
Doing mistakes was a part of even a god's life and one could easily lose their powers.
But they also strived to be better. It goes better with the themes of our own life.
Li: You are right about that. But it also makes it harder to really dig deep into their history, how do you manage that?
S86: It is tough though not impossible to dig pages of history and try searching for who they are. It has been easier for me to find out about lesser known vedic deities and myths because of my culture, but when it comes to other mythologies, like Egyptian myths, Queen_of_life_Heba has helped me.
Li: That there is one awesome author I have had the honor of interviewing!❤️
Shout out to you
Queen_of_life_Heba!
Keep giving us amazing stories from the past!🤍🤍
Now about digging deep, some of us are just so lazy😂 what motivates you to keep going?
S86: Once you get addicted to knowledge of the past, there's no turning back!
Talk about Vāruna from vedic myth— how many people actually know that he was a Indra once?
Or
That Iranian mythology is a continuation of his story after his fall as Indra?
Very few do.
Li: Errrrrr.... What's a Indra?
😂
I think we should start from there...
S86: A Indra is simply a King of Daevas.
Li: I think I should start taking notes😏
I am finding a lot of elements in this...
S86: Sure myths have many fantasy elements and often portray gods doing things which seem immoral to many, but when looked closer they all have a symbolic meaning.
Li: Okay, tell me, what is that one thing you love the most about these myths about old gods?
S86: One thing I like a lot is the theme of redemption and how often darkness can embrace the light.
It doesn't end in punishment or mourning.
Everyone gets a second chance, like Ravana or Puramdara.
The old gods are a mystery so very enigmatic!
Li: You are definitely right about that!😉
What are your thoughts on vedic myths?
S86: Vedic myths establish that nothing is black and white and that the soul is immortal even if the body is temporary. These two things are very important to me.
As humans we often do mistakes, small or grave.
As much as sinning is wrong, vedic thought see it as a part of life. It's less about punishment and more about consequences. And yes, even the worst villain, if wishes, can redeem and become a hero.
Another thing which I like about vedic myths is the showcase of love and lust in its raw form.
Li: Waoh, I love that. I think I would make more research on vedic myths and incorporate it in one of my stories.
S86: You should, you won't be disappointed😉
Li: Absolutely😁
So tell me, what is the best part of writing for you?
I think mine is the part where I kill a character and make another cry for the lost😂😂😂😂
S86: 😂😂😂😂
As for me, writing a never ending tale or stories with an open ending is exciting.
I don't wish good, loved tales to end.
Better they live on with mystery.
So yes, the best thing about writing is dreamy mystery that I can weave and make my readers curious about!
Li: That's also cool.
Now, if you were reborn, do you think you will venture into writing again?
S86: I think I will!
Li: Really despite all the stress that comes with it?😏
S86: I am not sure if that choice remains with me but if it does, I shall always return to writing.
I have found an expression to reveal myself without fear in writing and I don't want to separate from it.
Li: Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful facts and info with me, you are amazing!🤍
S86: Thank you Lilly for taking the interview!
