AN ALERTATION TO A CHAPTER

"Come on." Peeta beckons, grasping my hand and leading me to the stables where he works.

I laugh at his enthusiasm and run to walk right beside him. He turns his head to kiss my cheek and I chuckle.

He never fails to make laugh and smile.

"Have you ever done horse riding sweetie?" Peeta questions with a wide smile.

"Yeah, a few times." I reply and wrap my arms around him.

"Good, you'll be joining me then." Peeta states as I look at him quizzically.

"You my dear Katniss Lauren Mellark are going horse riding." Peeta explains and I squeal in delight.

We approach District 10's barns and I smile when I see all the horses. Peeta jogs on ahead of me and leaves me to trail on behind with a smile.

I walk up to the horses and stroke their manes and noses as I walk by, still heading to Peeta.
He seems to have disappeared. So I decide to linger with the horses.

My head snaps to the side when I hear hooves clicking against the ground. I gasp and my hand flies to my mouth when I come face to face with Peeta walking a white horse up to me.

"Katniss, this is Snow. An Arabian. She's one of my favourites that I look after." Peeta introduces, patting her flank and smiling even wider at me.

I walk up to them and place my hand against her nose. "She's beautiful." I breathe and laugh as Snow snorts into my hand.

Peeta leads Snow to a set of stairs and climbs on, reins in hand. He walks Snow over to me, I'm still mesmerised by her beauty.

"Come on up." Peeta suggests and I stretch my arms to him. He picks me up and sits me in front of him.

"Careful." I state as I readjust myself. He wraps one of his arms around me, resting his other hand on my stomach. I smile slightly at where he rests his hand and Peeta kicks her with his heels.

We walk Snow to the fields close by and when we enter them, I get her into a canter.

It's been a while since I've ridden but it all comes back to me in an instant. It is a first timer for riding a horse with someone else and no saddle.

I smile wider as the breeze hits my face and Peeta rests his head on my shoulder.

"Liking this Kat?" Peeta questions.

"Yeah definitely." I answer and we continue to ride Snow around the fields.

Soon enough, I slow her down and we gaze out onto the farms in District 10. The view is breathtaking for a farming district.

I rest my hand on top of his that rests on my stomach. I stroke his thumb with mine and smile. "Peeta?"

"Yeah Kat?" Peeta says and I turn carefully to face him, tears brimming in my eyes.

"I'm pregnant." I comment and smile when his eyes light up in delight.

"Really!?" Peeta exclaims and I nod.

"Yeah. We're having a baby Peeta." I answer and press my lips against his, joy consuming me.
