The weather was quite cold in Shimla, it was currently raining like cats and dogs outside. Abhay and Anusha both were wrapped up in their separate comforters and were watching a horror movie.

"What do you think, who has killed the protagonist's daughter?" Anusha whispered, she scrunched her nose when a deadly looking ghost appeared on their television screen. All the creatures which were appearing on their screen were hardly effecting her, for Anusha the movie ended up being an action movie than a horror movie, however for Abhay the scenario was different.

"How--would-I--I Know. " Abhay stuttered, his fragile heart kept on jumping at the scary creatures flashing their teeths on the television screen.

"Are you feeling scared?" Anusha inquired back, her brows furrowed when she didn't like the on-going scene of the movie.

"No--No, I am alright." Abhay mumbled quietly but flinched when Anusha huffed, and suddenly threw her comforter on the floor.

"Why is she falling for that antagonist? Can't she see he is the reason behind her daughter's death?" Anusha started wailing as she didn't like how currently the movie was going on. She sighed and shifted her body towards Abhay to see his reaction but was stunned to see that Abhay was cowering in fear, he had pulled the comforter above his head and his body kept on flinching every time the ghost appeared on their television screen.

"You are-- scared of horror movies?" Anusha whispered more to herself and after a daunting silence of one minute she started laughing hysterically.

"You are scared of these silly creatures. Oh My!" She kept on laughing while throwing her hands in the air and on the contrary Abhay's nose flared with anger.

"Hey! Stop laughing okay!" Abhay intended to yell but it came out more like whining.

"Okay! Okay! I'll not laugh but just look at them they are not at all scary, see that man, he is a ghost in the movie but is dressed up like a joker and look at that woman she is screaming her lungs out but still is looking like she is invited to a circus." Anusha tried to explain her opinion to Abhay while giggling.

"Alright I get it, that you are not at all scared and I can see why you like horror movies but sorry to break your bubble I am not as strong as you are, rather I am a scaredy cat." Abhay mumbled out with a pout and kept on looking at the opposite direction.

"I am sorry, don't be mad at me, okay! You are scared of horror movies right? Don't worry I have a plan I am sure after implementing that plan you won't be feeling scared anymore and we both can enjoy this movie together in peace." Anusha said with a cheerful smile on her face and her eyes were twinkling with a sudden excitement that Abhay couldn't deny her wish.

Anusha quickly pulled Abhay's comforter towards her and she covered herself with his comforter while the other end of the blanket was covering Abhay. Currently the same couple who used to keep a barrier of cushions between them were sharing a same blanket. Anusha held Abhay's hands gently in her own, she quietly kept her head on Abhay's shoulder and continued to stare at the big television screen.

Anusha's cheeks were dusted with red hue, she was feeling extremely bashful however she didn't knew from where the sudden courage came and she was glad that she did what she wanted to do from past few days. While on the other hand Abhay was completely dumbfounded, it was like his mind was not working and his entire body was freezed. It had been good ten minutes and Anusha was still watching the movie in silence it was then Abhay realised that he was not living some dream rather he was living a beautiful reality which he had always wanted to cherish and he was thankful that Anusha took the first step indicating that she was comfortable with him.

"Are you still feeling scared?" Anusha questioned while chewing on her lips, the current scene being displayed on the television screen was getting more intense by passing second making Anusha intrigued.

"No, I am not scared anymore because I have my guardian, guarding me in her embrace." Abhay whispered while looking at Anusha.

The moment Anusha heard Abhay's statement her heart fluttered with happiness and excitement. She slightly raised her head from his shoulder to look at her husband, and saw him staring back. Their eyes were silently interacting with each other, while their hands were still intertwined together. Abhay raised his right hand, and gently caressed his wife's face. His hands were itching to feel her smooth skin since so long but he had always respected her comfort and boundaries, and he was happy to see how she was not flinching by his touch rather Anusha closed her eyes at his gentle touch, and a genuine smile was being reflected on her face.

Before Abhay could utter what his heart wanted to convey, he heard someone Knocking at the door, both Abhay and Anusha became a bit alert at the sound of sudden knocking. Abhay moved his body from the bed and sauntered towards the door, the moment he opened the door there he saw his friend Rajat standing with a wide smile on his face.

"Hey buddy!" Rajat said while giving a warm hug to his dear friend.

Abhay chuckled and questioned Rajat about his sudden appearance at their door step.

"Oh! Yeah I forgot to tell you that I have came here to invite you and Anusha, in the party which I have organised for my staff and all the couples staying over here as my hotel has completed it's 5 years and that's why in the joy of this occasion I am throwing this party so you guys have to come." Rajat quickly finished his little speech and with a little wave towards his friend, ran in the other direction.

"Who was it?" Anusha questioned when she saw Abhay coming inside the room with a goofy smile on his face.

Abhay quickly nararted the entire thing to Anusha and the couple were feeling exhilarated to attend the party. They made their way towards their closet and started choosing their dress for the event.

It was around half an hour later both Anusha and Abhay were dressed up for the party. The couple made their way towards the party hall and both were awestruck to see the decorations done by the staff. The atmosphere of the party was friendly and warm. A lot of snacks and drinks were arranged according to everybody’s choices and preferences.

"Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, firstly I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for joining us and for being a part of such a special occasion. Today marks the fifth anniversary of my precious hotel this was once my dream which I had fulfilled, and I am so greatful to see my dream growing day by day. In the joy of this occasion I would like to request all the couples to please come on the dance floor and let's feel the love together." Rajat spoke while taking the attention of the entire audience towards his announcement.

Abhay and Anusha were standing besides each other but were still feeling a bit hesitant and didn't had the courage to ask the other for the dance.

"Why are you both standing like this go and lose a little on the dance floor." Rajat said while making his appearance in front of the couple.

"I see so both of you are not willing to move your bodies from here right? Abhay if you are feeling so shy to ask your wife for a dance then I think I need to call a handsome hunk so that Anusha can atleast dance with him and enjoy." Rajat mumbled with a knowing smirk on his face.

"Shut up you idiot, don't you dare call any other man near my woman." Abhay fumed however he missed how Anusha felt so giddy and shy the moment he called Anusha as his.

Abhay took Anusha's hands in his own and moved towards the dance floor. All the lights of the hall were dim and many couples were dancing on the floor.

Abhay pulled Anusha towards himself, his arms were placed on her waist while Anusha's arms were wrapped around his neck. Anusha's face turned into crimson red, both of them started swaying their bodies together on the rhythm of the song being played at the back.
