Clover's POV

I saw Forest and Kevin trying to fight off the Shadow Knights as we were running away from them. Sarah and Thomas were fighting along each other, matching each strike. I saw the nether portal and yelled "There it is! The nether portal!" Kevin yelled "We're almost there!" Shadow Knights were surrounding us but we still fought back. I saw Forest take a blow to the leg and stumbled to the ground. Kevin yelled while grabbing Forest, "Come on buddy! We can make it!" I saw that we were losing badly so I took off my father's necklace and gave it to Kevin and said "Give it to Mom!" before he could answer, I took the chance to save my friends and family. I yelled at the Shadow Knights, "Hey! Over here nether rats!" the Shadow Knights turned to me and ran after me as I ran away from the nether portal. "Clover! What in the nether are you doing?!" Forest yelled. "GO! GET OUT OF HERE! GO THROUGH THE PORTAL AND BREAK IT!" I yelled at them. "NO! WE'RE NOT LEAVING YOU!" Sarah yelled in horror as she realized what I was doing. "I SAID GO! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!" I yelled as I ran. Forest yelled "NO! I'M NOT LEAVING YOU BEHIND!" Can't he just listen for once?! I don't want to lose him! I thought. Thomas grabbed Forest and yelled "COME ON! WE HAVE TO GO NOW!" Sarah and Madison ran through the portal as Thomas dragged Forest to the portal. Forest struggled to get free as he was screaming my name. Kevin and Thomas, with Forest in between them, ran through. I heard Forest yell my name one last time, "CLOVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" his voice was filled with love and sadness. My heart broke when I heard that. I turned my head away and felt a tear go down my cheek. I'm so sorry Forest but I don't want to lose you..... I thought as the Shadow Knights cornered me. Two slashed their swords at me but I blocked them with my mother's scythe. I pushed their swords away from my face and attacked as many as I could. Sharp pains went through me as their swords cut my skin, over and over again. I was getting weaker and weaker as I lost more and more blood from the cuts. I collapsed against the wall and leaned against it as I looked at my enemies. I spat out blood and growled, "Do your worse." the Shadow Knights smirked at me and one of them stepped forward and raised his sword and it came down upon me. I felt a sharp pain in my chest as I looked down. The Shadow Knight's sword impaled my chest. I looked up and felt dizzy as I knew it was the end of me. I thought of one thing and that was my fiancé. A single tear went slowly down my cheek and I whispered "I-I love you Forest......." and then I saw white.

Meanwhile...

Third Person

Kevin, Thomas, and Forest all fell through the portal and they were helped up by Sarah and Madison. Thomas yelled "Quickly! Break the portal!" Sarah took out her pickaxe and broke one of the obsidian blocks and the portal closed. Forest yelled at Sarah, "What did you do that for?! Clover's still in there!!!" Sarah looked down and said "C-Clover said to..." she started to cry and Madison ran over comfort her. Forest fell to his knees and cried out his fianée's name. Kevin put his hand on Forest's shoulder and just stared off into nothingness. Everyone stood there in silence to honor Clover. Thomas said "Let's go guys..." and they left the nether portal.

*Timeskip to Phoenix Drop*

Everyone walked through the gates in utter silence. Thomas told Alexis and Lilith about what happened and they both showed faces of shock and grief. Abby, the head guard, ran up to us and said "Oh thank Irene you guys are alright! Wait...where's Clover?" Madison stepped forward and was choked with grief as she spoke, "C-Clover didn't make it out...s-she saved us f-from the Shadow Knights..." tears ran down her face as she walked away. Abby was shocked and everyone around who heard Madison. "Clover's dead?!" one shouted, "She could be still alive!" another yelled. Lord Levin ran over with Luke and Jenni and Levin said "Everyone calm down! We'll have to grief for Clover because these people think she's dead so we'll have her funeral tonight..." he looked down and everyone else did as well. Jenni asked Kevin, "Hey Kevin? Do you know where Forest is?" he turned to her and said "He probably went to the beach....you should probably leave him alone for now." Jenni nodded in understanding and walked away. Sarah walked up to her brother and said "Kevin...we have to tell mom..." Kevin nodded and they walked to their mother's house. When they got there, Sarah hesitated to knock on the door. She tried not to cry and Kevin hugged her. Kevin knocked on the door and their mother answered, "Hello--Oh thank Irene! You two are safe!" she hugged the both of them and asked where Clover was. Sarah couldn't take it anymore and started to sob. Ivy was surprised by her sudden burst and was puzzled but then she realized what has happened. Her eyes grew wide with shock and disbelief and said shaking her head, "No....no no no no please Irene! Not Clover! Not my baby!" tears were running down her face as she started to sob. Kevin held out the necklace that Clover gave to him and said "C-Clover said to give it to y-you..." Ivy looked at the necklace and took it with shaky hands and hugged it to her chest. Kevin and Sarah hugged their mother to try to calm her down but there was no use to trying to calm a heartbroken mother. Kevin let go and walked out of the house. He saw McKenna walking over to him and she said, hugging him, "Oh Kevin! I'm so sorry that this happened!" he clinched his fist and said "It's my fault! I-I promised my parents that I protect her, keep her safe! BUT I FAILED!!! I HATE MYSELF FOR NOT DOING WHAT I PROMISED TO DO!" he started to sob. "Kevin. It's not your fault....you had no idea that she was going to do that! Don't hate yourself for her death! She wouldn't want her brother to feel guilty for something she decided to do!" McKenna said to him. He looked down and whispered "You're right Aunty McKenna..." she hugged him as they both griefed for Clover. As for Forest, he just wants to be alone...

Clover's POV

I woke up in a very dark room and thought Wait what...I thought I died?! Laughter rang throughout the room as two figures appear in front of me, it was Gene and Sasha. I tried to wiggle free but it was no use. Gene laughed at my failed attempts and said "Aww, look at what we have here? A little weakling trying to escape. Hahaha!" I spat in his face and growled "I'm not weak." "Sure you are darling. Gene! Let's get this over with, I don't want to hear her complain anymore." Sasha said to Gene. "Gladly Sasha." he smirked at me and I was suddenly afraid of what they were going to do with me. I asked them, "W-What are you going to do to m-me?" even though I knew what they were going to do. "Oh, it's quite simple! We're turning you into one of us!" Gene said, laughing evilly. Eyes wide, I started to wiggle some more and I protested at them but they didn't listen. They started to mess with my mind and replace happy things with hate and anger, they messed with my memories of the final moments of my life, and angry thoughts went through my head saying They abandoned you! They didn't care about you! They left you to rot! or Nobody cared about you! Everyone hates you! I squeezed my eyes shut while tears ran down my face and tried to hold in the last memory I had and that was Forest. I tried so hard to hold in the images of him but it was no use so I gave in. I opened my eyes to see Gene and Sasha smirking at me and Gene said "So Clover? What did your friends do to you?" "They left me....left me to rot! To rot in this h*llhole! I don't care about them anymore, all I care is to make them suffer...all of them."

Three years later...

Third Person 

Clover, in her Shadow Knight form, was standing in front of the nether portal. It's finally time...after years of training, I'm ready to make them suffer. she thought. She ran through the nether portal and landed neatly on the ground but then she heard an alarm go off and looked up to see guards with their swords ready. The head of them yelled "Halt! In the name of the Phoenix Guard, I command you to halt!" she gave them a evil smile and laughed. She then took off her helmet and said "Hehe! I'm so going to enjoy this." "W-What?! It can't be..." the head said in shock. Clover took out her sword and charged at them. They tried to defeat her but she was too strong. In a matter of minutes, all of the guards laid on the ground in pain. Clover gave out a long, evil laugh and spat "So pathetic! I thought you all would at least be a challenge." "Stop!" someone yelled and landed in front of Clover. "Huh? Oh! Oooohhhh~! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!! Wow! Cadenza?! Is that really you?!" Clover said, laughing. Cadenza was shocked to see her friend in that Shadow Knight armor. "H-How...?! C-Clover...." she managed to say. "What? Surprised to see me? Hehe!" Clover said with a smirk. Cadenza took out her sword and yelled "Why are you here anyway?!" Clover simply said "To have my revenge of course!" Cadenza was confused and asked "What revenge?" "Oh...THAT YOUR FRIENDS LEFT ME IN THE NETHER TO ROT!!!!" Clover screamed with rage and charged at Cadenza. Cadenza was startled by her sudden outburst and couldn't react in time. She was thrown back and hit the wall with a thump. Cadenza got up and attacked her opponent and they fought for what seemed forever but then Clover got the upper hand and stabbed Cadenza in the side. Cadenza screamed with pain and fell to the ground, blood pouring from the wound. Clover looked at her and said "I'm just going to leave you here. I want you to suffer my pain." and with that, she walked away. Cadenza said "You'll never get away with this!" "Oh really? I think I already have. HAHAHA!!!!" Clover said with a laugh and went to Phoenix Drop to see her 'friends and family' again. 

*Timeskip to Phoenix Drop*

Clover stood at the gates with a big smile on her twisted face. Alexis and someone she didn't know, were staring at her with horror and shock. Alexis said "Clover?! B-But how?!" "THE NETHER! THAT'S HOW!" Clover yelled at Alexis like it was obvious. Alexis flinched at her answer and said to the guy, "Go get Lord Levin and the others!" he nodded and ran into the village. When the others arrived, they all had faces of shock and horror. Clover laughed and said "So? Did you miss me?" Lord Levin said "Clover. We can help you!" "Help me?! Hahaha! I don't want your excuse of help!" Clover yelled at him. Kevin stepped forward and whispered with tears in his eyes, "C-Clover..." "Well well well, if it isn't my brother Kevin. Came to say sorry for leaving me to rot in the nether?!" Clover snapped with anger. "W-What?!" Kevin said, surprised. Someone then yelled "What's going on here?!" he pushed through the crowd and saw Clover. It was Forest. Clover's eyes grew wide as she stared at her former fiancé. "N-N-No! It can't be! YOU'RE DEAD!!!!!!!!" Forest cried with grief as he was dragged away from the scene. Clover looked down and looked at the ring that Forest gave her on their engagement day, it was a pink diamond with rose gold diamonds around it. She felt a tear run down her face as she dropped her sword and whispered "F-Forest...."
