A few hours later they both woke up in an unfamiliar room.
"Pony.. what happened Johnny said getting up before wincing and holding his tender stomach.
"Woah are you ok!?"
Pony said rushing over to Johnny. Ponyboy touched the side of his stomach and Johnny flinched and bite his lip from the pain. Pony slowly lifted his shirt to reveal multiple dark bruises and cuts from the recent beatings.
"Oh my god Johnny are you ok!?"
Pony said worried sitting Johnny down on the floor.
"Yeah I'm fine pony..." Johnny looked around "where are we.?"
Ponyboy stood up and studied his surroundings.
"I'm not sure..."
Pony saw a door in the floor leading downstairs and tried to open it.
"Umm... Johnny."
Johnny sensed fear in his tone and quickly sat up.
"Yeah pony.. what is it, where are we?"
"I'm not sure... in an attic.." he moved away and spotted a window. Pony looked out of it and took a step back.
"What, what is it! What's wrong..?" Johnny said painfully standing up and walking over to him. Johnny looked out and saw trees for miles.
"Are we... in the woods....."
Johnny stood there baffled while pony sunk to the floor.
"How did we get here-"
Johnny said before remembering what happened just hours prior to this.
"You don't think.... The socs took us.. here..."
Johnny sighed realizing his fate and sat next to pony.
"Are we stuck here...."
Pony asked. Johnny looked around like he was trying to find his answer.
" we can't jump out the window.. we're too high up-"
"And the door won't open..."
Pony added.
"So....."
Johnny said looking at ponyboy who had tears forming in his eyes. Pony hid his face in his knees and Johnny put his arms around him.
"C'mon pony, we'll find a way out.. it's ok."
After a moment pony wiped his tears and stood up, searching the premises trying to find some way to leave.

After an hour or two they once again became hopeless. Johnny sat next to Pony, who was laying curled up in a ball shaking from the cold. Johnny decided to get up, and look around the trash for something to keep them warm. After a second he found an old candle stick which he quickly lit, using a match he had in his pocket. He put it close to pony, who sat up to admire the flame. Johnny and pony say around it, occasionally putting their hands up close to the flame, trying to keep warm. Eventually Johnny crawled over to pony and laid next to him.
Pony cuddled in closer, shaking, trying to get warm. Johnny held his trembling hands in his, and smiled.
"Hey Johnny..."
"Yeah.."
"What's gonna happen to us..."
Johnny held him closer. Pony began crying again, cling to Johnnys body. Johnny kissed his head and wiped his tears away, stared into pony's brown eyes and leaned in to kiss him. Pony pulled back, and looked to the side.
"What's wrong..?"
"What happened between you and Jacob....?"
Johnny sat up and turned his head, wanting to avoid this topic. Ponyboy lifted him self up a bit, looking at Johnny.
"Johnny..."
Johnny sighed, and out his head down before Turing it back around to look at his boyfriend.
"Pony.... I'm sorry I lied to you.."
Pony looked at a hurt Johnny.
"I think you know what happened pony..."
Johnny stopped himself and turning back around and dropping his head to to hide his teary face.
Pony sat up and held Johnny.
"It's ok... Johnny....."
Ponyboy rested his head on Johnnys shoulder, reaffirming his statement. Johnny dried his face on his semi-bloody shirt and started back at ponyboy, who began to lean in. Johnny passionately shoved his face into pony's, vigorously making out. Pony took off Johnnys jacket and threw it on the ground, forgetting about the candle right next to them. The jacket hit the candle and nocked it over, making the attic floor catch on fire. Johnny grabbed his singed jacket and quickly stood up trying to put out the fire. The fire quickly spread and made its way over to the locked, pine door. Johnny used his jacket to beat the fires down, smothering the flames. Once the fire was mostly out pint realized that the door was burnt up. He broke off what was left of it and dropped threw to the ground level and helped Johnny down too. They quickly ran out in time to watch the abandoned house become fully engulfed in flames. Not long after the cops arrived and found the two of them taking them back to town.
