Ponyboy sat down next to the sleeping Johnny who slowly woke up.
"Hey pony."
Johnny says sitting up next to him.
"Hey.."
Johnny stared and pony for a minute.
"Hey why did you rush out of the room like that earlier?"
"Oh... yeah sorry I remembered I had some work for school to do.."
Johnny stares a ponyboy for a second like he's waiting for something.
"you okay pony, you seem upset.?"
"I'm okay Johnny....."
Ponyboy looks down nervous. He wants to say so much but he can't.
"Johnny I.."
Ponyboy looks into Johnny's with a longing for the answers to his many questions. He felt a wave of courage wash over him.
"Johnny, have you ever met someone who makes you so happy.. like unbelievably happy, and all you want to do is be with them for the rest of your life.., but you can't..."
"Pony..."
"I'm sorry Johnny, I don't know why I said that, uhm... just please forget I said anything... I'm sorry..."
"Ponyboy.. I know what you mean.. I mean I dunno but I feel like most people don't get me,... but there is one person who does... and I don't want to let them go.."
Ponyboy turns to Johnny.
"You... you said something earlier that made me think, and I just have to ask you Johnny.. do you feel the same way I do... do you like the same things...?"
"I uh.... I don't know.. I've never really thought about it..."
The two stared at each other for a second. The tension was palpable and pony couldn't hold back anymore. He quickly presses his lips onto Johnny's. The kiss lasted only a few seconds before pony pulled back.
"Johnny... Johnny I'm sorry... I gotta go...."
Pony gets up and leaves Johnny alone in the lot processing what just happened.
