I didn't leave the house for the next two week. I stayed home, with my phone switched off and my face hidden behind old books.

cee visited once. she told me that I was missing out on a lot of fun, but that didn't phase me. I never had the fun anyway so I wasn't missing anything.

i put the book I was reading aside and looked for my phone.

I turned it on and was immediately bombarded with notifications. mostly from cee and changgu. just as I was about to dismiss them, an unknown number caught my eyes. I had three two from that number.

the following two messages were sent in an hour after the first one.

after checking the time, I realised that the person was texting me at the party that cee told me about. the last massage was only about 15 minutes ago.

my screen lit up and I saw a text from the number. I opened the chat and my heart froze.

you had my number?

you texted me?

I threw my phone away and got under the sheets. I wasn't ready to think about what had just happened. and so, I closed my eyes and allowed my dreams to steal me from reality.
