Assaku (Part Seven)

Aru raised his hand before his body, showing Chiba the cuts on his skin. „This is the dawn of death." he said before he formed all the blood around him to little bullets. „For the lies you told me and the pain you've afflicted me with... You shall perish!" With a waving movement of his hand, he unleashed the bullets. They hit Chiba and drilled themselves deep into his body. The blonde-haired guy didn't even have the time to scream before he fell down. Before he even impacted on the hard floor, he was dead. Aru lowered his hand. „...I shall sentence everyone in this place to death to extinguish hell." He turned around and left the room, walking down the hallways. He broke every door down to pieces and killed every single person in this place. The screams of panicked kids and therapists filled his ears, but they seemed so faint... So... far away, like they weren't real... Then, he reached the exit. He stretched out his arm and wanted to open the door... of course it was locked. „You can't deny me my freedom anymore." He said, raised his hands and ripped the door into pieces, using his blood blades. It was dark and windy outside. The wind touched his skin... it seemed like an eternity ago that this happened for the last time... He felt the wind softly striking over his skin and his hair and he closed his eyes for a moment. He took a deep breath and was entirely gone for a moment there before he started walking. Walking away from the hell on earth. From the place where the walls and floor now where painted scarlet red. Where the red floods had been left behind... together with a hundred corpses. He continued his way and didn't look back. He could hear a siren loud and clearly... Seemed like the police had been informed. They were too late. Way too late. Aru hid behind a lamppost when the cars drove past him, and looked after them. Then, he turned around and continued his way.
Days passed before he had found his way back home. He had feared he'd never find it, but seemed like he was lucky at least once in his cursed life. He knocked at the wooden door. He heard steps coming and the door opened... and there she stood. Red, long hair and blue eyes, dressed in a long jeans and a black t-shirt. When she saw him, her eyes widened. "A-Aru?!" Aru tilted his head. "...Hi, Mother. Did you miss me?", "I thought... you were...?!", "Dead?" Aru shook his head. "No. I am quite much alive. But don't pretend you even care whether I am alive or not.", "You... what happened to your eye...?", "It doesn't matter. I'm back home..." He laughed softly and tears of happiness appeared in his eyes. "I'm back..." Aru walked past her into the house and turned to her. "You sent me away. You ignored my begging. You lied. And... what's worse... you didn't believe me. I was trapped in hell itself, in pain ... I screamed. I was scared. I cried. And no one ever noticed... But I forgive you, Mommy...", "You have changed...", "Does that surprise you? Of course I've changed... Would you be the same person after you were tortured...?" He shook his head. "But that's over now... I'm back ... I'm ...", "What are you, Aru?" His mother looked at him. "...?" He looked up at her in confusion. "What I am ...? You know what I am ... I ... I am your son ...", "No." His mother's voice sounded ice cold and he immediately recognized the look in her eyes. Fear. "You are not Aru... you are no longer who you used to be.", "Does it matter?" He wiped his eyes. "I'm still me ...", "..." The iron silence that followed was almost frightening. "No." She shook her head. "You are not you anymore. You are someone completely different. You are not my son.", "What...?" Aru's eyes widened. "W-why ... why do you say that?", "Because it's true. Go, Aru. Get away from here. I don't want you here anymore.", "Mommy...", "You are not my son.", "Why?! Why do you say that?! Please explain it to me..." New tears formed in his eyes. "What did I do wrong...?", "... everything." Aru fell to his knees and buried his face in his hands. "B-but ...", "No buts..." She shook her head dismissively. "I loved you once ... But you are no longer worth loving. Your clothes are full of dried blood... It was you, wasn't it, Aru? The one who killed all those people.", "I ... I just w-just wanted ... to escape... Please, Mom! I just w-wanted ... back home ...", "There's no more room for you here. Get out of my sight.", "Mummy...", "Go !!!" She took a vase that was on the cupboard next to her and threw it at him. It hit him and shattered. Shards cut into his skin. Aru screamed. "S-stop it !! Please... !!", "GO AWAY!!" She took another vase and threw it at him. Aru was wet and blood ran on the floor. He crouched down and whimpered. "Please stop...!!" His mother ran into the kitchen and grabbed a kitchen knife. "Get out of here, you disgusting creature!!" she screamed and grabbed Aru by the hair. He writhed. "Ouch!! You're hurting me!", "GO AWAY!!!" She threw it on the floor in front of the door. Aru let out a groan. "N-no ... I-I don't want ..." She suddenly started stabbing him. "PERISH, YOU DISGUSTING CREATURE !! YOU MONSTER !!! OUTBIRTH OF HELL !!" Aru screamed. "Mom!!! Stop it ... STOP IT!!!" Suddenly she stopped. The knife fell from her hand and landed on the floor with a clatter. Blood spurted from her mouth. Her eyes were wide open when her heart burst. She fell dead on her side. Aru's wounds healed again, only the tears remained in his eyes. "But ... I love you, Mom ..." He straightened up and noticed that she was staring into nothing with wide eyes. "..." He bowed his head, wiped his eyes and sniffed. Then he turned and left. "I love you... why do you reject me..."

....Henceforth, he never saw a ghost ever again.
