Jessie / Just Big Brother Things / Part Two

Plot: A continuation of the last one shot. PS, go check out my book, Raquelle Rocks The House on Amazon!

Luke marched up to Chad with his fists clenched in anger. "Chad." He spat as he walked up to him. Chad stopped talking to the ladies who were on either side of him and shooed them away. "Ross, may I help you?" He asked coldly, raising a brow.

"Yeah, you can. Hand over my sister's bracelet." He opened his hand out for him to place the bracelet into. Chad looked between his hand, the bracelet, the hand again, and then back at Luke. "Ha! You're funny. Why would I give you something my girlfriend gave to me? That wouldn't be nice." Chad replied, just as coldly as before.

"Because I doubt she gave that to you willingly." Luke started, crossing his arms over his chest. "When she first made that bracelet, she claimed she would never take it off for as long as she lived. Even when Jessie forced her to take it off when swimming or taking a shower, she never did."

Chad's face scrunched up and twisted in disgust. "Ew, either way, I'm not taking it off. Seeing it on me makes you mad, and I like making you mad, so, on my wrist is stays." He said with an evil grin before standing up and heading out onto the dance floor, bumping into Luke's shoulder purposely as he walked by.

Luke scowled and clenched his fists again. He was going to get that bracelet whether he liked it or not.

-

As they danced, Luke kept trying to make his way to snag the bracelet off of Chad's wrist. When they were learning the combination, Luke attempted to grab onto Chad but Chad easily turned away from him. Luke growled as Chad sent him a sinister smirk. "Better luck next time." Chad mouthed.

The second attempt Luke made almost got him in trouble in class. They were going in groups and Luke and Chad were in the same group. As they began the dance, Luke purposely stopped dancing to grab onto Chad.

"Luke!" The teacher called out and stopped the music. "We do not grab onto others while we're dancing! Another incident like this, and you're going to have to be excused for the rest of the night." Luke sighed and let go of Chad. "Sorry teach." He apologized small.

Chad snickered. "Loser." He whispered to Luke. Luke almost threw a punch right then and there, but went against his antics and shook it off instead to go get water.

Okay, third time's the charm, right?  Luke asked himself as he and Chad's group went up to dance for the final time tonight as the class came to an end. This time, the teacher announced them to freestyle at the beginning of the dance. This gave Luke an idea.

As the teacher played the music, Luke looked over at Chad who was dancing innocently, completely oblivious to Luke's new and approved plan. When Chad was just doing arm choreography, Luke ran and jumped on his back.

Chad grunted and stumbled around. "What are you doing?!" He muttered towards him. Luke grinned innocently. "What does it look like I'm doing? I'm dancing. It's called, partner work~" He whispered back to him and grabbed onto his wrist. "now, give me the bracelet!"

The teacher clapped at Chad and Luke. "Yes, partner work! Great work, you two!" Luke and Chad stopped their momentarily bickering before looking at the teacher as if they were crazy. Chad scoffed and turned back to Luke. "Get off of me, you crazy!" He exclaimed.

"Give me the bracelet!!" Luke said tugging on it. Luke eventually got off of Chad but still had gripped onto the bracelet that was still on Chad's wrist. Neither of them saw Y/n walk in to pick up Luke from class and check up on Chad when the bracelet snapped.

Multi-colored beads flew everywhere and scattered all across the floor. Loud gasps from the surrounding students and Y/n were heard. "Boys!" The teacher scolded and turned off the music for the final time. "That's it! I've had enough of this childish act," they said before grabbing his stuff and walking towards the door. "Class dismissed."

The rest of the students shuffled out without questions as Y/n walked up to her boyfriend and brother. "What in the world happened?!" She exclaimed to them. Chad gasped and ran over to her side, wrapping his arms around the girl's torso. "You would not believe it! Luke wanted to break the bracelet but I tried not to let him because I knew it was special to you!"

Luke got up from his previous place on the floor, the quick snap of the beaded bracelet sent him to the ground. "What? No! Y/n, believe me, that's not how it went at all!" He claimed. She scoffed. "Oh, yeah? So, why do you have the remainder of the bracelet in your hands?"

Luke looked down at his hand and mentally cursed. He got what he wanted, it just wasn't in the condition he wanted it in. "Y/n, I-" He started. "Save it, Luke, I'll see you at home. I'm walking with Chad, you can walk with yourself." She rolled her eyes and began walking out the door.

Chad followed after her for a few steps before turning to Luke and sticking out his tongue. "Looks like I win, yet again. You can keep trying, Ross. I call you a loser for a reason, yanno." He said before being called over by Y/n. "Coming!" He said before laughing a little at Luke and heading over to Y/n.

Luke exclaimed in anger and threw the string onto the floor before grabbing his bag and taking a long way home.

Dinner was awkward... very awkward. Y/n and Luke barely even looked at each other as they came into the kitchen to sit or eat. They didn't even talk to the others unless spoken to. Zuri rolled her eyes slightly. "Okay, what's going on between you two?" She asked, causing the two teenagers to snap their attention from their plates to her.

"Nothing." They said in almost perfect unison. Zuri scoffed. "I'm 11, not dumb. Tell me." She said, putting her fork down. Y/n and Luke looked at each other before scoffing and rolling their eyes. "I don't want to talk about it." Y/n spoke. "Ditto," Luke replied.

Jessie shook her head. "No one is leaving this table until you two talk it out." Emma groaned loudly. "Seriously, Jessie? Kaitlyn has an Instagram Live in five minutes! I promised her I wouldn't miss it." Jessie shrugged. "Too bad, your social fate relies on your siblings now."

Emma glared at her younger siblings. "You better make up or so help me, I will skin you both alive in your sleep and feed you to the lizard." Ravi gasped. "Mrs.Kipling does not eat humans!"

"For now," Emma remarked as she jabbed her fork into her salad greens. "Make up." She glared at Y/n and Luke one last time before being scolded by Jessie. Y/n, not taking any chances, pretended to forgive Luke.. horribly.

"Luke, dear brother, I forgive you for ruining the only thing that was important to me all over the dance room floors. I forgive you for your selfish acts of wanting to take my bracelet and breaking it right then and there. I forgive you for pretending to care about me and my feelings." She said before throwing her cloth napkin on the table and running towards the stairs.

Bertrum came over and picked up her plate. "Well, that was exciting." He said with a small chuckle. Jessie rolled her eyes at his comment. "Bertrum, be quiet. Luke," She turned her attention back to him. "You broke her bracelet?!"

"It was accidental! I was trying to get it off of Chad's wrist because I thought he tricked her into giving it to him! I was trying to be a good big brother!" He claimed. Emma laughed and took her plate to the kitchen counter. "You sure failed that one. Night guys!" She said before skipping to her room happily to watch Kaitlyn's live.

Luke groaned and rolled her eyes. Emma was next on his list, right below Chad. Ravi rose a brow. "Wait, are we talking about the bracelet she told us she was giving Chad last week?" He asked and Zuri gasped. "Omg, tea." She said as Jessie shot her a look. She shut up immediately.. for two seconds before laughing loudly. Jessie excused her from the kitchen.

Zuri groaned and got out of her chair, heading into the living room. "Wait," Luke said to Ravi. "She told us about that?" He asked. Ravi nodded. "Yup, guess you weren't listening. We were at the park and the girls' basketball team was practicing right across from us."

Luke groaned and put his head in his hands. "I messed up, didn't I?"

"Big time."

-

Y/n laid in her bed hours later. She was in the dark, laying on her back and enjoying the moonlight and slight breeze that came in through her window. A soft knock was heard on her door. She rose a brow and told the person to come in. She looked at the door to see who was there, she was confused about why her family was up this time of night.

When she saw it was Luke, she groaned silently and rolled her eyes, laying her head back on her pillow. "Did you come here to gloat? To brag about how big the bracelet exploded?" Luke let out a small sigh, he deserved that one. Especially now that he knew why she was extra mad. She told him about the bracelet thing just a couple days ago and he forgot. That was on him.

"No, I brought cookies and your favorite drink..."  He walked over to her bedside. "See?" His voice was soft, mellow, and caring. You can tell he was really torn up by this. Y/n turned her head to the side and saw the yellow plate and clear glass in his hands. She sat up and let out a small sigh.

"Thanks... what's it for?" She asked, taking the cookie as he set the glass on her bedside table. "It's my apology. I.. I knew how much that bracelet meant to you, so, I tried to get it back when I saw it on Chad's wrist. However, it slipped my mind that you said you were going to give it to him. So, I spend all class figuring out how to get it back and when it broke right as you came in, I felt bad." He began.

"But then I was filled with anger when Chad blamed me for all of this and wrongly accused me of theft and bracelet murder." He chuckled softly, making Y/n chuckle as well. She scooted over and patted for him to sit next to him. Luke sat down with a soft smile. "Thanks.." She nodded. "Of course, but I'm sorry too, yanno."

He rose a brow. "Why are you sorry? You didn't do anything wrong." Y/n let out a laugh.. a little too loud laugh if you ask me. "Because I did somethings I shouldn't have done, like, not believe you, that petty apology and forgiveness thing at dinner, and a couple of other things I can't say." She said as Luke scoffed and gasped in shock. "You know, just for that, I'm drinking some of your drink." He said before taking the cup and taking a sip.

She laughed a little. "You deserve it. After the day you just had, you deserve all the happiness and love in the world." She said munching on her cookie. Luke awhed. "You mean that?" She nods. "Of course I do. I love you, Luke."

He grinned at her. "You love me?" He said in a teasing tone. She rolled her eyes playfully. "Yes, I love you, now say it back before I take it back." She chuckled. Luke set the glass down and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Fine, fine. I love you too." He said, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Ew cooties!!" She playfully teased him. Luke laughed and playfully shoved her. "Shut up, I do not have cooties and you know that."

"Do I?"

"Y/N!"
