Farkle's POV

I walked inside school with worry. I was going to talk to (Y/n) today. I think a day is enough time to cool down. Hopefully my gut feeling is correct.

I saw (Y/n) sitting down on a bench staring out into space so I decided to approach her. "Hey (Y/n)!" I said cheerfully. She jumped. "Farkle, you startled me." I chuckled. "Yeah I can tell since I made you jump. Sorry about that." I apologized. She smiled. "It's alright. Why don't you sit down. I have a feeling you want to talk to me." She said scooting over.

I nodded. "How'd you know?" "Because you never talked to me since I walked out yesterday." I looked down. "I'm sorry." I heard her chuckle. "Stop apologizing Farkle! It was my fault." She said raising her voice. She cleared her throat. "What did you want to talk about?" She asked in a calmer tone. 

I looked up. "Promise you won't hurt me." She smiled. "Why would I hurt you? Your my best friend?" I returned the smile. "Really?" She nodded. "Really." "Well, as you know. You kinda admitted your feelings about Zay yesterday." "Oh we're going to talk about this?" I smirked. "Oh yeah." She groaned. "Alright, yeah. I did that. What does this have to do with anything?" She asked.

"You said you can't because he likes Vanessa." She nodded. "Yeah, don't remind me." "Well (Y/n), I'm here to tell you that you don't have to worry about Vanessa anymore!" I said with excitement. "What? How? Did she die? Fall off the edge of the Earth?" I chuckled. "No, Zay and Vanessa are cousins. They can't date." I said. She smiled brightly.

"Really?" I nodded. "Really." "Oh my gosh thank you Farkle!" She said giving me a hug. "Your welcome. Now, go get your man." I said as she pulled away. She chuckled. "Of course. Thanks again!" She said grabbing her backpack and running off to find Zay.

I smiled. I'm glad I could help a friend out. I looked to the left of me and saw a familiar face that looked furious. He walked up to me. "How could you!?" He exclaimed. I stood up. "I didn't do anything!" "You just stole my girl!!" He exclaimed. I scoffed. "No I didn't! And she isn't yours! She's not some property you can just claim!" I said. "But you knew I liked her and she liked me yet you still stole her away from me!!"

"Zay are you even listening to yourself? Did you hear our conversation?! I helped her find you so you could be together! Besides I don't even like her like that. We are best friends! I like someone else!" He scoffed. "Yeah right, I thought you were my friend Farkle." "I am! Can you just calm down?" I asked placing my hand in his shoulder. He swatted it off.

"Friends don't steal other friends girlfriends." He said walking off. "Your not even dating! Get ahold of yourself!" I said before storming off. Zay can be so ignorant sometimes!
