Alright everyone so I hope you all enjoy this chapter. Now I feel like it's only fair to warn all of you that this chapter is longer than most of my other chapters. I just had a lot planned for this chapter and since most of it is fighting I didn't think it was right to break it into two separate chapters. Anyway I hope you all enjoy.

P.O.V. [Name]

At the moment I was walking down the streets with Blaze. "I just think it's a little weird that we don't have any here. We read about them a bit in class so it makes sense that we'd have one here and yet we don't have one," Blaze said looking at me.

"I told you already the ruins that they're made with don't work in our world. For whatever reason they only work in the demon world," I said looking at him.

"I know and I understand that much but I still feel like we should have one here. Even if it can't fire the energy beam it seems like it'd be a good idea to have one here. You know so others can operate it and get the hang of using it if nothing else we could modify it and use it for other things . . . like construction . . . at the moment something like that would really come in handy," Blaze said looking at me.

"I guess I can't argue with you there," I said looking at him. I sighed hearing this and we continued to walk down the streets of Star Shade. We still haven't got the mess from before cleaned up. I guess that's the back draw of being on an island is that not many things can get to us that fast.

"So later do you want to spa-" Blaze began only to get cut off by a loud explosion as well as several loud screams. As soon this happened Blaze looked in the direction of the screams and began to run towards them. I sighed seeing this and began to follow behind him. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised it makes sense that Shimo and his friend would want to finish what they started.

As we approached I saw Shimo and King were the ones that were the source of the attack. I didn't see the third member of their group. I guess that means he's somewhere else. It didn't take the two long to notice us and When Shimo did he smiled.

King looked like he was ready to attack and Shimo placed a blade made of ice in front of him. "I'd like these two to myself," He said looking at us. When he said this King nodded and began in another direction.

When he did Blaze pulled out the Muramasa and looked at Shimo. When he did he seemed a little more conscious than before and made another sword out of ice. When he did I readied myself as well with the Masamune.

When I did he gritted in his teeth and looked a little annoyed. Several ice spikes appeared behind him and looked at us. I guess he knows what our swords are. I'm not sure why he's not doing what he did before and making himself bigger but that doesn't mean we should get careless.

Blaze was the first to move dashing forward faster I thought he could. Shimo's eyes widened when he saw this and used one of the blades to stop him. Several of the ice spikes were then sent towards Blaze and he jumped back.

Seeing this I moved forward in an attempt to catch the male off guard however when I did I noticed I like Blaze moved much faster than usual. I guess this is what the Head Master meant when he said the swords amplify each other.

I swung the sword down and Shimo like before stopped the attack. I then saw several ice spikes start to come towards me. However I saw Blaze get in front of them and shatter them for me. I smiled seeing this and Shimo jumped back.

When he did he turned and attempted to attack Blaze. When he did Blaze turned and stopped the attack. I moved and once again attempted to attack Shimo. When I did Shimo moved and went under me.

He then moved and his ice blade became a little longer and he swung the blade at my throat. My eyes widened seeing this and I used my sword to stop the attack. When I did Blaze brought his blade down and cut Shimo's arm off.

I smiled seeing this and we landed on the ground. When we did Shimo looked a little angry and looked at the arm that Blaze had cut off. When he did I also looked at the arm and when I did I saw that the arm was slowly turning to dust.

"The two of you have improved I'll give you two that much. I'm also not sure where you got those blades but they alone won't be enough to save you," Shimo said as ice started to form where his arm used to be.

"It won't replace the original but it'll have to do for now," Shimo said looking at us. I then heard some footsteps coming towards us. It wasn't approaching very fast and it didn't sound like they were wounded. In fact it sounded like they were walking.

I out of curiosity turned to see who it was and saw two familiar figures slowly walking towards us. Shemo and his daughter, were slowly making their way towards us. "So you're the person responsible for all this? I received a few reports of you the last time we had an attack," The headmaster said looking at Shimo.

"So tell me, where's your friend? And I don't mean the one that you're mind controlling or the one that's causing these flames either," Shemo said looking at the male in front of him. When he said this I began to look around and noticed that he was right.

King and the other person that he was with were no where to be found yet despite this there was a large amount of flames around us. When he said this the flames all started to come towards. We all moved out of the way and I began to look around.

When I did I saw a male looking at us. The male had red hair and red eyes, he was also wearing as strange mask. The male then jumped down from the building that he was on and looked at us. "Mind If I join in?" The male asked looking at Shimo.

Shimo was quiet for a few seconds before he sighed. "Sure think you can handle these three?" Shimo said looking at the male in front of him. When Shimo asked this the male nodded and looked at us.

Shimo then began to run into another part of the city. The male then looked at us and smiled "My name is Danté and I must say I've been wanting to fight your for a long time," The male said looking at Shemo.

"Is that so?" Shemo asked looking at the male in front of him.

"Indeed, I've heard a lot of rumors about you. Almost everyone in the demon realm has at least heard of you. You wouldn't believe how happy some of the others where to hear that you were going to stay at Star Shade instead of staying in the demon realm," The male said looking at us.

The head of Star Shade then chuckled slightly hearing this and looked at the male in front of him. "I see that my reputation proceeds me," The male said looking at male.

"In a sense, I can't wait to see if the rumors about you are true and if they're not then I'm going to make you beg for mercy," Dante said looking at Shemo.

"Is that so?" Shemo once again asked the male in front of him. "Then I promise not to disappoint," The head of Star Shade said looking at Dante. He then turned his attention towards us and smiled.

"[Name], Blaze I have a special assignment for the two of you," He said looking at us.

"What is it sir?" Blaze asked looking at the male.

"[Name], I'd like you to go find Shimo and out a stop to him," The male said looking at me. I nodded hearing this and began to run in the direction that I saw Shimo run.

P.O.V. Blaze

I watched as [Name] ran into the distance and smiled. I hope his finally able to bring that ice bastard to justice and make him pay for what he did to our hometown. I then turned towards the head of Star Shade and looked at him.

"Blaze, the mission I have for you is very important," He said looking at me. When he said this I nodded and he looked at me with a smile. "I want you to keep Amelia safe while I fight," The head of Star Shade said looking at me. When he said this the female began to walk towards me and I nodded.

When the female was beside me I picked her up and looked at the male. The male then took off the cloak that he usually wore revealing a marking on his arm it was strange, complex and a bright red. It took me just a moment to realize just what I was looking at. "Ruins?" I questioned looking at him.

"Not just any ruins these are primal ruins," The male said as the ruins on his arm started to glow an even brighter red than what they already were. When they did he started to become a little younger and he stood up straight. The male then smiled and looked at Danté.

Some fire then appeared around Danté and Shemo smiled. Shemo then took a fighting stance with his feet slamming into the ground causing it to shake slightly. Several fireballs then started to get sent towards Shemo.

Shemo then began to dodge the fireballs and when he was close to the male Danté jumped back and placed his hands on the ground causing fire to come up from the ground. Shemo smiled and looked at the male.

"I see that you've done well keeping up with me so far. However let's see how you do when I get serious," Shemo said as the ruins on his arm once again started to glow. When they did Shemo smiled and raised one of his hands into the air before bringing it down to the ground.

When he did I then felt the ground start to shake violently. I lost my balance and kept tying to regain it. However no matter what I tried I just couldn't keep my footing. I eventually fell down and looked at the head of Star Shade.

When I did I noticed something a little strange. In the distance and noticed that it looked like the clouds were starting to tilt. Wait that can't be right, I stood up quickly and drew my sword. This should help me with what I want to see.

I then jumped into the air, and when I did I realized just what was happening. The entire island of Star Shade was moving. Shemo was actually tilting the entire island in a display of power. So this is the power of the Head of Star Shade. He truly does live up to the rumors surrounding him.

P.O.V. [Name]

I was running down the streets of Star Shade trying to find where Shimo had gone. However no matter where I looked I couldn't find him. I could hear a few people screaming but whenever I went to where the screams where he was nowhere to be found.

I then once again heard a few screams and like before I began to run towards them. When I arrived I saw King fighting someone. It didn't take me long to realize that the person he was fighting was Aoi.

"King why are you doing this? We used to be friends! Did we really mean nothing to you," Aoi said looking at the male in front of her. I then noticed that King winced in pain and backed up. When he did he placed a hand on his head.

King then once again rushed forward. When he did I drew the Masamune and my sword met King's scythe. He smiled seeing me and looked at his eyes. They were still black and red, so he's still lost.

"It's about time someone who can present a challenge stepped up," King said as he pushed me back. When he did I looked at Aoi for a second to make sure she was alright. I then turned my attention back to King knowing that he isn't himself so he'd most likely try to attack me.

"Are you alright?" I asked Aoi trying not to take my eyes off King.

"Yeah, a few cuts here and there but I've been through worse. Although I'm glad you showed up when you did. I don't think I could take King when he's serious," Aoi said looking at me.

"I guess that makes two of us," I said as I looked at King, he smiled hearing this and looked at the two of us.

"If you want to fight me then I have noqualms with a two on one," He said looking at us. I then heard a gunshot and felt a bullet go past my head. King moved his scythe so that the handle of the scythe stopped the bullet.

"How about a three on one?" I heard a familiar female voice question. When I looked behind me, I saw Sayaka holding two guns with both pointing at King. I then turned my attention back to King and he looked at us with a smile.

"If you all want to fight me then I encourage you to engage me in a three on one. It'll make this a little more interesting," He said looking at us. When he said this I felt the ground start to shake violently and lost my balance.

Seeing this King rushed forward and tried to attack me. Sayaka started to shoot at him however from where the ground was shaking she wasn't able to hit him. When King was in front of me he swung his scythe and attempted to cut me.

I used my blade to stop his and smiled. However when I did I saw a few shadows around his hand. King then brought his hand towards my face I moved back seeing this, as soon as I did I saw King smile and knew this was a mistake.

King used his scythe to fling me into a wall. I then heard another clash of blades and looked up to see King and Aoi fighting. I also saw Sayaka shooting at King and once in a while. Of course how could I forget that these are on the same team.

They're used to training together so of course they're styles compliment each other. I then looked at King and rushed forward, and King stopped my attack. King then looked at my sword and smiled.

"I must admit, it's a little impressive that you managed to get your hands on the Masamune," He said looking at me.

"Then of course you know what this blade can do to demons," I said looking at him.

"To an ordinary demon, it would destroy them without a doubt. It would be up to Inkosi, to reap them," He said looking at me. So King knows who the last reaper is. "Tell me something, have you figured out it's back draw yet?" He asked looking at me.

I was a little confused to hear this and King pushed me back. When I landed I started to pant slightly and looked at King."Judging by your reaction I'm going to assume you haven't" King said a little disappointed as he looked at me.

"Look at you, we've been fighting for no more than five minutes and you're already out of breath," He said looking at me, when he said this I realized that he was right. Before he was lost we would spend hours training before I was tired. "Do you know why that is?" King asked looking at me.

"It's because you're weaker than you're sword. Using the Masamune is putting a tremendous amount of strain on you're body. Your body is being crushed by the power that the sword is giving you. You can't keep up with what the sword wants you do," He said looking at me.

I then dashed forward hearing this and our blades once again met each other. However he stopped me and seemed a bit more bored than before. "The worst part is that it's making you weaker while you fight. You're no longer a challenge," He said looking at me.

King then moved his hand back causing me to go forward slightly. While I was moving forward King ducked and swept my legs. I managed to stop myself from hitting the ground and I looked at King.

Aoi then rushed forward and King stopped her. I then felt two hands on me and turned to see Sayaka. "Sorry but, Aoi thought we should wait and hear what he had to say about your sword. She thought it might be useful information. You know help us turn the battle around and all that," She said looking at me.

I nodded hearing this and looked at the male in front of me. A large ice spike then came towards us and Aoi moved out of the way avoiding the ice spike. Shimo then landed by King, causing King to smile.

"Shimo mind helping me with these two? After all it's only a matter of time before more show up," King said looking at me.

"Of course King but there's been a slight change in plans," Shimo said with a smile.

"What's tha-" King began and Shimo stuck his arm made of ice through King's chest.

"We don't need any dead weight," Shimo said with a smile as he pulled his hand out of King's chest. King then fell down to the ground and looked at Shimo.

"You'll pay for your betrayal," King said looking at Shimo.

"I somehow doubt that, but if you truly believe that then I encourage you to try," Shimo said as his body began to turn to ice and shatter into a thin mist. "After all it's like you said it's only a matter of time before more show up," Shimo said as he disappeared.

I then heard a few footsteps coming towards us. I saw a few shadows start to wrap around King and watched as he began to disappear. When he disappeared I let out a sigh of relief and turned to see Sayaka, Nazca, Aoi, Blaze, and Amelia running towards me.

"Sayaka came and got me, is everything alright?" Blaze asked looking at me.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I said looking at the figures in front of me.

"Are you okay to fight?" Blaze asked looking at me.

"If I had a few minutes to rest then I might be okay," I said looking at him.

"Okay Sayaka and Aoi, thinks she knows where Shimo and his friend are. I'm not to sure about King seeing as Shimo just put a hole through his chest but it's worth a shot right?" Blaze said looking at me. My eyes widened in shock hearing this and I looked at the females in front of me.

"You know where they are?" I asked looking at the two in front of me.

"Well, we think we do," Sayaka said looking at us.

"Yeah, we found a cave yesterday that had an illusion around it. There was someone there but it wasn't Shimo or King so we think it's the demon that he's working with. We were going to tell you today, but as you can tell today's been a little lively," Aoi said looking at me. I looked at Blaze hearing this and he smiled.

"Okay well Sayaka, Aoi, lead the way," I said looking at the two female in front of me. They nodded hearing this and the two began to run down the street with Blaze and me following behind them and Nazca following behind us.

P.O.V. Shemo

I looked at the male in front of me, he was panting and breathing heavily. It's fairly obvious that he was running out of magic energy. I smiled seeing this and looked at the male. "Running out of steam? It's fine with me if you want to give up after all you'll save me a lot of if you came along quietly," I said looking at the male in front of me.

When I said this he placed his hands above his head and looked at me. "I'm not done yet," he said looking at me. I sighed hearing this and looked at Danté. A massive amount of fire then began to gather above him. Of course this must be his ace in the hole magic spell. Almost every demon has one or at least the more powerful demons do.

I'm actually a I'm a little surprised to he didn't resort to using it earlier. The male then smiled and looked at me. "Pyro Spiral" The male said looking at me as the fireball continued to gather fire and grow. Danté then brought his hands towards me and the massive fireball was sent in my direction.

P.O.V. Danté

I watched as my attack went towards the elderly male. I smiled as the fireball continued towards Shemo. I had waited for this for so long. Shemo the man that was rumored to be the strongest human is about to meet his end. I smiled knowing that he was moments away from death.

I then watched as my fire hit Shemo. I smiled seeing this and looked at the attack. There's no way he could have survived that. I poured all the magic energy I had left into that attack. I then heard something​ strange and looked to see that my ace in the hole was starting to shrink.

I stood in shock as I watched it become smaller and smaller until I could see the male. I then realized why it was shrinking. Shemo was crushing my fire in his hands. I watched as my attack continued to shrink until it was small enough to fit between the males hands. I then watched as he continued to squeeze until my fire shattered.

When he did a massive explosion took it's place and Shemo was thrown back slightly. I watched as the male landed, he was panting and slightly out of breath however what made me smile was seeing that his arms and chest as well as parts of his face were covered in burn marks. "So you stopped my attack?" I asked looking at him.

"Yeah, the direction it was going is where Blaze and Amelia went. I'm sure if it landed Blaze could have protected her but I'd still rather be safe than sorry," he said looking at me. I then smiled as he tried to stand up but winced at the pain he was in.

"Looks like I've even the playing fields if nothing else," I said looking at him. Shemo then smiled hearing this and looked at me.

"Is that what you think?" Shemo asked looking at me. I then saw the marking on his arm start to once again glow red. When it did the burns on his body started to fade. Shemo stood up and looked at me. "These are primal ruins, they restore whatever they're on to their prime. That includes before any damage had been done," he said looking at me with a smile.

So no matter how much damage I do to him he'll just keep restoring himself. "It of course has its limits, like any ruin it will fade with how many times I use it. These ruins are only capable of just reviving me ten times but I've only used two so I'm more than capable​ of using the strength I have left to defeat you," he said looking at me.

Shemo then grabbed a piece of debris that had landed beside him. He then threw the massive rumble at me. I put up my hands and launched some fire at it. When it landed it shattered and Shemo came from the dust. I put up my hands in an attempt to stop his attack. However it did me little good against his strength.

When he hit me I was entering into a building and landed on the ground. I tried to get up before Shemo reached me however I couldn't. Shemo then used his foot to keep me on the ground and sighed as he looked at me. "You know if you had chose to attack me any other day I probably wouldn't have to do what I'm about to," he said looking at me.

"What makes this day so different?" I asked looking at him.

"You know I used to be like you, I absolutely hated the demons much like you hate humans. I wanted nothing more than destroy all of you. However a long time ago I met someone that I fell in love with a long time ago. As you probably guessed she was a demon. We had a child together, her name is Amelia. The reason I took this job wasn't because I thought the war dangerous. It's because I wanted to keep Amelia safe. I knew that if the current Demon king found out that a human and a demon had a child that he would have her executed without a second thought. So I took this position, and when this war is over, assuming I'm still alive, I want to spend the rest of my days with the demon I fell in love with and the beautiful daughter we have together," he said looking at me. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

I smiled under my mask and looked up at the male. I was so weak that I could no longer move my arms. I started to laugh hearing this and looked at the male in front of me. "Heh hehehe hahahahahahaha and all this time I thought I was the only one. All these years I thought I was the only half breed. Heheh I had hoped that I would one day meet another like me. Someone who would understand my pain of not belonging to either race. Now I find one and it turns out she's a small child. Heheh life really is a bitch huh. I thought she'd be like me. I thought she'd hate everyone especially you . . . But I was wrong, and at the same time you're also wrong," I said looking at him, when I said this he seemed a bit confused and I smiled.

"I don't hate humans, well I do but not in the sense you think. I hate all life, humans, demons, animals, I hate them all! So knowing this old man can you do me a favor?" I asked looking at him. When I asked this he looked at me. "Take off my mask, I want to show you the result of this half breed," I said looking at him. When I asked this he reached down and removed my mask.

When he did he seemed a little shocked and disgusted. "I know it's not beautiful. I want you take it all in. This is the result when demons aren't kept in check and are allowed to do as they please. So like I said I don't just hate humans, I hate all life. However you . . . You're different then most others I have met. Can you do me yet another favor? You can consider it my dying wish," I said looking at him.

"What would that be?" He asked looking at me.

"I want you to stay here and continue to protect that daughter of yours. I want you to be better than him I want you to be better than my father. Are you listening? I want you to be a better father than mine was to me," I said looking at him. When I said this he looked at me and smiled.

"That's not something you need to ask me for. I as long as I can help it no harm will ever come to my daughter. I intend to keep her safe until she has the chance to meet her mother," he said looking at me. I smiled hearing this and looked up at the male. "Don't worry I'll try to make it as quick and painless as possible," the male said looking at me. I nodded hearing this and closed my eyes as I waited for the finishing blow.

I never thought I'd say this especially about someone like him, but I'm glad he was the one that defeated me, and I'm glad he's going to be the one to kill me.

P.O.V. Shimo

I slowly reformed myself from the mist that I had scattered myself into. When I had reformed I looked at my arm and sighed as I once again made another of ice. I gritted my teeth and clenched my fist as I looked at it. First a scare on my chest and now my entire arm. Those two are going to pay for what they did to me. I then heard something coming towards me and moved.

When I did I saw King looking at me. He was panting and had shadows were seeping off of his body. Seems like he's seeped even deeper into his lost state. Soon he'll be so far gone that  I doubt even a talented healer would be able to mend his mind.

"It was so fun back then wasn't Shimo, hehe the wound you gave me is so painful. I wish it would have been cut deeper. The I could see more of this lovely red," King said as he raised his hand showing me his blood covered hand. "If I am to die today then I want my cloths to be covered in blood. It doesn't matter to me whether it's mine or yours," he said looking at me.

King then rushed towards me and started to attack wildly. He really doesn't have any control over what he's doing anymore. His attacks were obvious, sloppy, and slow, and even worse he showed no sign of using magic. It's just like Kūsō said it really will be easy to kill him. I then heard a few footsteps and saw several familiar figures in front of me.

"Shimo! It's finally time for you to face judgement for what you did all those years ago," Blaze said looking at me. I gritted my teeth hearing this and looked at them. I barely survived last time we fought. I'm not sure if I can match them now that they have the Masamune and the Muramasa. Not to mention their new addition that I've never seen before. There's no telling what she's capable of. I need for think quick if I don't then this very well could be the end of me.

I then heard the sound of dirt moving behind me and smiled remembering that King was here. I then placed my hand out and a wall of ice separated me and King. "I'll make the five of you a deal. Let me go and I'll hand over King to you," I said looking at the five in front of me.

P.O.V. [Name]

I looked at the male in front of us as he looked at us. I'll give this much to him, he's a lot smarter than he acts. He thought of this in a time span of just a few seconds. "And you won't try anything?" Aoi asked looking at him. 

"Well I won't until I leave the cave, after that I can't make any promises about what I'll do. However I will leave the cave, and I won't attack any of you while doing so. No tricks, and no lies," Shimo said looking at us. 

"Blaze, what do you think?" I asked looking at him. When I said this Blaze gritted his teeth and then sighed. 

"As much as I hate to admit it, I think we should take him up on his offer. We'll probably never get another chance like this. We can keep King here until we figure out a way to get him back to normal," Blaze said looking at me. 

I then looked at the male in front of me that at the moment was smiling. I looked at the male and gritted my teeth. This might be the only chance we get to kill Shimo. Yet what Blaze said is true if we pass this chance up we never be able to return King to normal. Not to mention there's the chance that if we refuse he might just kill King. 

I then sighed and looked at the male. "Fine it's a deal," I said looking at the male in front of me. When I said this he smiled and began to walk away. 

"Glad you see things my way," He said as he began to walk towards us. As he walked past me and Blaze he looked at us and smiled. "Oh and don't worry, I'll definitely be seeing the two of you again," He said as he continued out of the cave. I smiled hearing this and watched as the males body began to shatter. 

I then felt a hand on my shoulder and turned to see Blaze smiling at me. "I wouldn't worry about it to much. We almost beat him this time, I don't think he'll be as lucky next time. Especially now that he won't have King to use as a shield next time," Blaze said looking at me. I nodded hearing this and watched as Shimo's mist slowly faded from sight. If that's the case then I look forward to the day that we meet again.
