The day before the idea of another quest hadn't quite sunk in for Annabeth Chase.

But today is August 25, also known as the day they leave for their new quest, and that hazy feeling from the day before has evaporated now that reality is staring her in the face.

And she is ecstatic.

Of course Annabeth knew magic was real, she lives her life surrounded by it. This new magic though? Annabeth has never experienced it before. She can't wait to study it, learn the ins and outs, the history.

Annabeth has been shown a whole new world for the third time in her life, and she'd be damned if she didn't get to know everything about it.

She woke up at about 5:30, deciding to go for a run. She put her braids into a ponytail, then threw on a pair of shorts and an old camp shirt she made into a tank top when she was 15.

She left her cabin at around 6:15 when the sun was just peaking over the water.

She heard a noise from her right, only to see Piper stumbling out of her cabin in running clothes as well.

"Piper!" Annabeth whisper-yelled as she quickly ran over to the girl.

Piper lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw Annabeth coming over.

"Annabeth! Please tell me your gonna run as well, I was dreading doing it alone."

The blonde laughed and nodded her head.

"Awesome, race you to the lake!" With that, Piper was off.

"Cheater!"

Despite the shorter girl's head start, Annabeth still managed to beat her to the sandy beach surrounding the canoe lake.

"You're so fast, I was doomed from the start." Piper groaned before collapsing onto the sand.

"It's just practice Pipes, I've been running for a long time."

'From a lot of things' thought Annabeth bitterly.

"Get down here, it's scaring watching you hover over me." Piper grabbed the girl's hand a dragged her down.

The two girls sat in the sand, illuminated by the bright sunrise of Long Island, New York.

"Are you alright Piper? You've been acting strange recently." Annabeth spoke softly, not wanting to disrupt the peace that has settled around the two.

The brunette let out a quiet sigh, "Jason and I broke up yesterday, right before we got told about the quest. I knew it was coming, but I was still not ready for how much it hurt."

Annabeth wrapped her arm around Piper, pulling her close while the other girl laid her head on her shoulder.

For once, the daughter of Athena was at a loss for words, letting her actions speak for themselves for a change.

The girls sat in silence while they waited for the sun to finish rising.

The purple and pink hues swirled around the sky like the thoughts in their minds.

If the two girls were blushing at the touches between them...

Well that was their secret, and theirs alone.

Eventually, they did have to go back to their respective cabins and get themselves cleaned up.

The Athena cabin was bustling with life now that it was 8am, and she had to dodge people as she made her way back to her bunk.

Annabeth took her hair out of its bun first, (she liked how it felt on her back).

She put on a different camp shirt, black leggings, and her grey vans before making her way to the dining pavilion where people were scattered about the 19 tables, as most people were still getting ready.

The table Annabeth and the rest of their group sat at last night was currently occupied by Piper, Will, Reyna, and Frank.

While the two Romans and Piper looked energized and ready for the day, Will looked absolutely dead inside.

Annabeth sat down and asked, "Woah Will, are you alright?"

"I hate my dad." Will groaned.

Piper smiled and did a cute giggle before replying, "Care too elaborate sunshine?"

"Apollo makes his children wake up at sunrise, it's not by choice."

The other four nodded in understanding.

Annabeth spared a quick glance to the Apollo table and saw the same dead look in the two girls sitting over there.

The group ate in silence for 5 minutes before Nico, Percy, and Leo made their way over to the others.

Percy sat next to Annabeth, an arm automatically going over her shoulder.  Leo pressed a light kiss to Frank's head and plopped down next to him, laying his head on the taller boy's shoulder just as Piper had done barely two hours earlier.

Nico sat next to Will and the two blushed. Annabeth would never tell anyone this, but she noticed when the two started holding hands under the table. their twin small smiles were a dead giveaway.

She was happy for them if they did finally get together. They deserve happiness after everything the two have been through in the last few years.

Eventually, the last three found themselves at the table as well.

The time was now 9am, they only had three hours until they left Camp Half Blood and their quest officially began.

They all knew what would await them once they got to the Big House at noon later today, but none of them were exactly ready.

Annabeth thought it was silly, the fear she was starting to feel settle into the pit of her stomach.

She had been on countless quests much more dangerous than this and felt minimal fear throughout them.

As long as we ignore Tartarus and Arachne of course.

The daughter of Athena chalked up the fear she was feeling as a fear of a completely new world, and of not the threats that are hidden within.

This would not be the first time in the next 10 months that Annabeth Chase ignores her instincts.

And it certainly won't be the last time she pays for it.

It was 11:45am when Annabeth found herself inside the Big House.

She's the first one there, which is to be expected. What she doesn't expect though, was for Nico Di Angelo to walk in a few minutes later with Will Solace trailing behind him.

It's not the idea of them together that startles her, but rather how fast they were. She was expecting Reyna of Jason to be second, certainly not these two.

At 11:50 the trio is indeed joined by Reyna and Jason, who both look out of breath as if they had raced each other there. Annabeth wouldn't be surprised if they had.

Frank, Hazel, and Leo all walk in next, just a minute later.

Thalia walks in alone, directly behind the couple, and immediately drops down on the couch.

'Now we're just waiting on Piper...'

'And Percy' her brain reminded her.

Annabeth's eyes widened. How could she forget her own boyfriend?!

What's going on with her?

The clock read 11:59 when Piper and Percy slammed the door open at the same time.

"We aren't late!" Percy exclaimed.

"By a minute seaweed brain." Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"Fashionably on time." Piper did her cute little giggle again and 'Oh my gods, has she always sounded that pretty-'

"Thank you for all getting here on time." A new voice said.

Everyone whipped around to see Chiron and Hecate standing on the other side of the room.

Annabeth had never met Hecate before, but she looked exactly how Hazel and the others had described her.

She had long, straight blonde hair up into a ponytail. Her eyes were pitch black and her skin was the color of porcelain. She wore a black sleeveless dress and held herself high and strong.

She nodded at Chiron, and the centaur left the room.

"Hello young demigods, I am glad to see most of you once more after your last quest. I am sorry that we are meeting again because of another one." Hecate started.

"Before I send you all to London, there are a few things you need and must know.

First, your demigod powers will be weakened once you enter the wizarding world, I have no control over this.

Next, I will be giving each of you a wand. Wands are the weapons of witches and wizards. It helps them focus and control their magic, and you all will certainly need them.

You will also be needing wizard currency. There are Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts. It's 17 sickles to a galleon and 29 knuts to a sickle. You will each have 22 galleons, 10 sickles, and 2 knuts, which is the equivalent of 150 mortal American dollars.

I will also be giving you the supply list for year 7's at Hogwarts so you can further fit in. You will be able to get everything you need at Diagon Ally, where I will be delivering you today.

You will be able to do magic once I give you your wands. You will have the same abilities as a normal 17 year old witch or wizard. I will encourage you to study and excel in your classes, because your magic can and will get better during your time at Hogwarts, and you will need every bit of help you can get on this quest. Is everyone ready?"

The group looked at each other for a long moment before turning to Hecate and nodding.

"Good. Please, take these Hazel." She place a bag into the girl's hands.

"What-" She started.

"I am putting you in charge of the money, for now at least. I trust you more than anyone."

They smiled lightly at each other.

"I can take two at a time, who would like to go first?"

Hazel and Frank stepped forward with their trunks in hand.

Then suddenly they were gone.

Thalia and Reyna went next. Followed by Nico and Will,  then Leo and Piper.

"I'll go last." Spoke Annabeth.

"Are you sure Wise girl?" Asked Percy.

"Yes, go with Jason seaweed brain." The girl smiled.

Percy smiled back before grabbing his trunk and taking his place next to Jason, then they were gone as well.

"Are you ready, Ms. Chase?" Asked Hecate.

Annabeth looked around a moment before grabbing her trunk as well.

"As ready as I'll ever be." She disappeared in a flash.

All that was left in the room was a burnt piece of paper drifting slowly to the floor, with four short words scrawled onto it.

They will all go mad

CHAPTER 3 BABYYYY

The first bit of this chapter was a pain to write, but I had so much fun writing the middle and end.

I fully intended for them to be in Diagon ally and end this chapter right before they go to the Hogwarts express, but it got away from me. That will be next chapter!

How'd we feel about the pipabeth hints? I certainly enjoyed it.

Annabeth doesn't quite know what she's feeling yet, but she will soon ;)

Hecate is described in two different ways by Riordan, so I just chose my favourite, and I like to think she almost resembles Narcissa.

For the money, that is roughly what $150 would be in Wizard money, I did math to figure it out, though I made a knut equal 1¢ instead of 0.01¢ to make my life easier

$6.64- 1 galleon
0.39¢- 1 sickle
1¢- 1 knut (for my purposes)
0.01¢- 1 knut (actual exchange)

And yes, I did nerf the demigods a bit by making them weaker in the wizarding world. What can I say? I want them to use magic.
