Chapter 99

N: "Derogan, although I love how you would want to make us proud," Johann spoke, worried for his brother's safety, "this isn't the time to prove yourself and you don't even have to because I know you will always have our backs. You're clearly hurt and you need to stop."

"Nein, if he wants to continue, let him," Wolfgang interrupted, waving off Johann and staring at Derogan, "I won't kill you, but I can get you pretty close to death."

M: Derogan growled at Wolfgang, his actions seemed to be getting more animalistic the more pain he was in, Rowen and Prudoria tried to step in and break things up but the Mandorian wouldn't allow them.

This time around, Derogan actually got down on all fours and started literally prowling around the ring, moving more like a cat and less like a person on all fours.  Everyone was confused by this, they didn't understand why he was behaving this way.

He stopped circling and faced off against Wolfie one more time, still growling like a wild animal, yet he said in a voice that had a faint, deep undertone to it, "You don't know what it's like to be close to death, but I can show you."

Without warning he pounced onto Wolfgang and bit him square on the shoulder, deep enough to draw blood.

N: "Verpiss dich (get the fuck off me)," Wolfgang snapped as he tried his best to shove Derogan away, but the other bit firm. Knowing he would later regret it, he yanked at the country's wing as hard as he could, forcing him off.

Now standing up, the blood from his wound oozing into his white shirt, the Saxon groaned in pain. "What the hell was that," he yelled, "why did you bite me?"

Side-stepping towards the edge of the ring, he picked up a shield that was lying on the floor and held it up with his good arm while the other was limp. The moment the Mandorian charged at him again, he used the shield to strike it across Derogan's face.

M: The hit did ring Derogan's bell for a moment, he wobbled away and stood up, shaking his head to get the ringing to stop.

"Oi, that wasn't very nice," he grunted at Wolfie, the undertone in his voice becoming more apparent, "what's the matter, you don't want to fight me anymore, what happened to bringing me close to death?"

"Derogan, that is enough, this is going too far," Rowen yelled, entering the ring, "I don't know what's going on with you but it ends now."

He tried to reach for his son's hand to take him away, but Derogan grabbed his wrist first, then yanked it so he was eye to eye with his father.  The human noticed that the other's fingertips were turning black, but what really startled him was that his eyes had turned red with slit pupils.

"You listen to me, old man, this doesn't concern you," Derogan growled, his voice now sounding almost demonic, "if I were you, I would stay out of it, Derogan would be so upset if he found out you got hurt."

Rowen struggled against "Derogan", his wrist hurting from the iron grip, but was rendered immobile from the stare down, "w-who ... what are you?"

The young country laughed maliciously, "why don't you ask Royal, she knows what I am, as for who, that's not important right now, is it."

N: "He's a fucking Hybrid, isn't he Royal," BE asked as he turned to the Brit, only to see her in shock. Royal just stared at Derogan, or whoever he was, before suddenly snapping into action.

"You two, close off all exits, the windows included," she ordered BE and Saxon as she marched towards the ring, "Johann, take Wolfgang to the infirmary immediately; this has gotten way out of hand."

Johann froze as he didn't know what to do. Part of him wanted to help out his friend but he also didn't want his father to be hurt. Wolfgang saw the hesitation so he volunteered to take himself to the infirmary, stepping out of the ring, although Jo did help him out.

The moment Royal was in the ring, her wings flared as she walked towards the Mandorians. "Nothing has to happen," she spoke, staring down at Derogan, "now, you better let go of Rowen, or deal with the consequences."

M: Derogan turned to her and growled, but stopped mid-growl and looked away like he was thinking, then just suddenly calmed down and let Rowen go, leaving him to run to the protection of Prudoria.

"No, you're right, this has gone just a little overboard, my apologies," the hybrid Mandorian stated, "it's not like me to get so heated, in public at least."

"Derogan" stretched out a little bit and shook out his wings, he didn't seem as tired and battered as before, like he was never in a fight.  When he stretched out his wings, the yellow stars had turned red, and although the demonic voice had significantly toned down, it was still just on the tip of his voice.

"Ah, it's been so long since I've been out, for being a kid, Derogan sure knows how to put an alter ego in chains," he said, sounding much more mature for his age, "as you can tell from dear Father's shocked expression over there, not many people know about me.  Seriously, this kid is a champion at keeping secrets, he won't spill them even if his life depended on it."

N: "I see," Royal replied skeptically, crossing her arms, "although I'm not for restraining alters entirely, the kid must have done it for good reason. You weren't exactly 'friendly' to your father."

After a moment to think, the Brit continued, "You're not leaving my sight, you hear me? I don't want anyone here unnecessarily hurt and I would very much like it if you don't associate hybrids with being horrible; the rest of us are still fixing up Roman Empire's mess."

"Derogan, why didn't you tell us about this," Johann asked.

"He's not Derogan, Johann," the Brit corrected, "he has a name of his own. What's your name, kid?"

M: The Mandorian looked downright offended when Royal called him a kid, "Excuse you, I already have to deal with being stuck with this insecure crybaby, I will not tolerate being labeled as the same age as him.  I don't have a name, Derogan did use to call me Percival, but after the brat banished me to the darkest depths of his mind, I'm not terribly inclined to keep it.  Lucky for me, the only other person who knew of my existence, Mandara, gave me a name that I will accept, you may refer to me as Eclipse."

The newly dubbed Eclipse climbed out of the ring and started wandering around the room, observing the weapons on the walls, even picking up a knife to fiddle with.

"Geeze, now why would I associate hybrids with being horrible," he asked mockingly, "I mean, it's not like I've been suppressed all my life, never allowed to interact with the outside world or my so-called family.  Wren knows what I'm talking about, sure she's been treated much better than I have, but it's still got to sting to be in the back seat more often than not.  Royal tries to hide you when you come out, covering your eye with an eyepatch so no one can tell when you come out to play, doesn't that frustrate you, to never be allowed to have a normal life of your own, to not be seen as a person but just as the split personality?"

N: Royal frowned as she walked over to the Mandorian and plucked the knife out of his hands. "Refer to me, Royal, while I am here, and don't even bother talking to Wren," she spoke, "what happens between us stays between us and it is none of your business."

Placing the knife back, she smirked, "You can talk to Wren when she wants to, and only if she's interested, otherwise you can save your tongue for someone else. Now, Eclipse, since your physical change will bring about questions, let me ask. Do you want people to know you're a hybrid or do you want that information to be kept within this room?"

M: Once again, Eclipse had a look of insult on his face, and he angrily faced Royal, "You seriously need some lessons in manners, missy, I will say it again, I do not take kindly to such rude behavior!  Maybe it's because of this childish form that Derogan has that you think you can talk lowly to me, let's fix that then."

He snapped his fingers and was enveloped in red smoke, and when it disappeared he looked completely different.  He was certainly taller, like a couple hundred-year-old country and not a young 33-year-old country.  His red feathers had morphed into membrane bat wings, though still retained the black feathers, and a long devil-like tail snaked from behind him.

"The perks of being the son of an eternal," Eclipse chuckled, "too bad pathetic little Derogan can't access our magical powers, not like he would  have used them anyway."

The entity put a hand under Royal's chin and raised her head to his eye line, "Why don't you take a backseat for once, primary alter, I want to talk to your suppressed half, you're not welcome here."

N:   Royal just kept her smirk on her face, "Sure, you can go talk to her, I had enough of you anyway."

With that, she closed her eyes, and when she opened them again, her bronze iris stared right into Eclipse's red slit irises before quickly swatting his arm away.

Wren blinked a couple of times, stretching out her fingers as a goofy smile stretched on her face as she took a deep breath, "finally, some actual air." After she had gotten over her moment of bliss, she frowned, "Wait, why am I here?"

Looking at Eclipse in front of her, her face just turned into confusion, "who the fuck are you? Are you another Mandorian brother I don't know about?"

"Umm, Wren," BE interjected, "he's Derogan's secondary alter."

The hybrid just looked between the empire and the Mandorian in front of her, slowly connecting the dots until she uttered a loud 'ohhh'.

"Huh, I should have been paying attention," she shrugged, "everything since Prussia has just been blurry. So, mister tall guy, why the devil look? Did Mandoria and Wales fuck or something to produce you?"

M: Eclipse was momentarily surprised by the sudden and blunt appearance of Wren, it simply caught him off guard, but he ultimately laughed it off.

"I suppose it does kind of look like that, doesn't it," he chuckled, "maybe I should consider a different color scheme next time.  Anyway, I suppose some explanations and introductions are in order."

He bowed both respectfully yet mockingly, "The name's Eclipse, Derogan's suppressed half, just like how you are Royal's, now, let's fill you in on what happened during the last few hours."

He took his time to recall the events that happened while in the training room, although did put a little flair on it, it seemed that he had a bit of a theatrical side, certainly not to the extent of Prussia.

"Alright, I think that brings us to now," he declared once the explanation was over, "shall I repeat anything or do you get the gist of it?"

N: "Yeah, could you repeat the part where you were totally thrashed by a human," Wren chuckled, and only did she didn't insist when the rest of the room clearly indicated to 'not make it worse'.

"Alright. Ok, I got the gist of it," the hybrid said, wandering around Eclipse, studying his wings and tail, "what I don't get is why you want to talk to me? Royal would usually sit back if she finds the situation uninteresting, and honestly, I see why."

"I've had enough of this charade the both of you are doing," BE stepped forward, although Saxon warned him not to, "Wren, you can stay around if you don't cause a mess, and you, Eclipse, decide if you either want people to know you're a hybrid or not. Mandoria deserves to know, since he is your father, but I will not have a wild country wandering about my kingdom."

M: "Hey, how about you back the fuck off and mind your fucking business," Eclipse spat, "can't you see we are having a perfectly civil conversation here.  He then looked to Wren, "You see, this is exactly what I'm talking about, no respect for the secondary alters, even he thinks he can boss us around about living our lives.  I've spent all my life in chains, stuck as a tiny voice in someone's head, and the minute I can come out I'm still treated like trash, well it ends now!"

He spread his wings out and his eyes glowed bright red, then in his demonic voice he addressed everyone, "I hope you've all said your goodbyes to the worthless child I've had to share a body with, because Eclipse is here to stay, and I'm going to make an example of anyone who dares to oppress me again!"

The Mandorian stuck a hand to BE and made a fist, he was lifted straight up into the air and violently thrown into the ring.  The ropes all untied themselves and began to move with a life of their own, snaking around the empire, constricting his chest and throat with supernatural strength.

N: Wren just started at BE blankly as the empire struggled to breathe. Saxon rushed to his side, drawing a knife to try his grandson free, but was quickly thrown aside by one of the ropes.

"Seriously, you can't kill BE, I like messing with him," she sighed, then she walked up to Eclipse and tapped on his shoulder to get his attention, "do you realize that it's secondary alters like yourself that make us hated? Lashing out and harming the people around you, you begin to wonder why the others haven't found a way to suppress us permanently."

"Wren, enough talking and start helping," the entity snapped.

The hybrid rolled her eyes and pointed with her wing, "Besides, I think you forgot that there's someone in this room."

The people she was pointing at were Johann and Rowen, and the Mandorians' faces were filled with fear. Johann especially was afraid that he would never see his brother again, slowly losing hope that he would, then he rushed to BE to help him out.

"Even I wouldn't hurt my brother; he's family after all."

M: "Bold of you to assume I associate them as family, I've been alone all my life, family doesn't leave you alone," Eclipse growled, "Lucky for you, they haven't oppressed me, so they don't deserve my wrath, you on the other hand, you're getting pretty close."

"Enough," someone shouted, an energy ball then hit Eclipse and sent him flying back, which disarmed the ropes around BE.

Standing at the doorway was a furious Odrus, he certainly looked like he was interrupted, his clothes were messy and his face still had a slight pink tint to it.

"Do you know how frustrating it is to have finally found the perfect mate after hundreds of thousands of years, and to be hearing the intense screams and cries of help from Derogan interrupting it," he spat, "I had to leave my new mate hanging just to come down here and put a stop to this petty infighting!"

The Eternal marched up to Eclipse, who was just standing back up and was about to retaliate, just to have his forehead touched and then go unconscious, returning to his normal form as Eclipse was once again locked away.

N: Wren just looked at Derogan as he lay on the floor, "wow, you did it again."

"Did what again," Johann asked as he was helping BE recover from the attack.

"Oh, nothing," the hybrid brushed off as she watched the other Brits recover from the attack, although she was more interested in something else. "So," she smirked as she elbowed Odrus, "who's the 'perfect mate'?"

M: "Not in the mood right now, Wren, maybe later I'll tell you," Odrus grumbled irritably, "I got to get back before I kick all your asses."

Just as suddenly as he appeared, Odrus was gone again.  Rowen rushed to his son to make sure he was okay, his bruising returned now that his body was his own.

"My sweet son, why didn't you tell us," he asked, hugging his unconscious child, "how long have you been fighting this demon on your own, I'm so sorry that you felt you had to hide this from us, I'm so sorry."

N: Wren shuffled her feet uncomfortably, and wanting to avoid the whole 'emotion' situation between the father and son, she wandered over to BE to see if he was okay.

"I swear, why can't there ever be a normal day," the empire grumbled as he was helped up to his feet, "if I had my way, magic would be banned."

"Albion, you shouldn't," Saxon frowned, "it's part of people's identity."

"And it's been the reason for a lot of trouble," the empire countered, rubbing his neck, "and I don't care if people will say that it can be used for good, as long as there is one evil person in this world who has access to it, I want none of it."

The Brit took one look at Wren and ordered, "Take Derogan to the infirmary, and after that, I don't want to hear a single complaint about you, understood?"

The hybrid rolled her eyes, "Sure," before going back to the Mandorians and helping Rown take his son to be checked on.

M: Rowen and Johann took Derogan to the infirmary, Prudoria stayed behind to heal the rope burns.

"Please don't punish Derogan, he didn't mean to do this," he begged the empire, "you saw what happened, the alter ego came out because he was hurt and angry, he didn't want him to come out, please don't punish him."

N: "The alter ego has a name, you know," Wren grumbled, "and I honestly would be understandably angry if my existence was ignored too. However, you don't need to worry, BE already has experience dealing with this."

"And it's sad that I do," BE frowned, "Derogan will not be punished; he and Eclipse are two different people and Derogan isn't responsible for his actions. If I didn't make the separation between the personalities of a hybrid long ago, Wren would have been dead right now."

"I sure would," the hybrid chuckled as they walked into the infirmary, and she laid the Mandorian in the bed beside Mandoria. She quickly turned to the older country and blurted out, "he's a hybrid, you can do whatever with that information."

M: Mandoria was surprised that Derogan was brought to the infirmary unconscious, but even more so at Royal's claim that his son was a hybrid.  He looked to the rest of his family for help and they explained what happened.

"So that's why Wolfie said Derogan bit him," he said, pointing to him and Erna on the other side of the room, "he told me a little bit of what happened, but he left out the hybrid part, I guess to protect Derogan's privacy."

N: "Yeah, well, at least I gave him that," Wolfgang muttered, trying to ignore the pain as a nurse was wrapping up his shoulder, "although I didn't spare any details on our match. I'll take it as a win." Erna shook her head and poked in his injured shoulder, and when he flinched, she scolded him for his behavior.

"I don't exactly care about Derogan enough to keep his secret of being a hybrid from you," Wren spoke, "sure, the secondary alter had some valid points, but at the end of the day he was an arsehole, and you should know about him."

M: "Oh no, it's good that you told me, it ... certainly explains a few things," Mandoria stated.

"What do you mean it explains things, you knew about this," Rowen asked.

"Well no, when he was a baby, Zalia and I noticed that sometimes he would act a bit too intelligent for his age," the country explained, "when he was only three months old he was talking in semi-coherent sentences, but then a few minutes later he wouldn't be able to speak, and when he was just four years old I caught him reading an old philosophy book I got from a visit to Rome, certainly not something a child of his age should be able to read.  The strange occurrences ceased when Mandara was about 19 months old, so I hadn't thought anything of it."

Prudoria hummed in fascination, then turned to Royal, "How did you manifest yourself when you were young, Wren, were you smarter than Royal as a baby?"

N: Wren's wings sunk a bit at the question, "Umm, I was never born the traditional way, heck I don't even have parents, I sort of came to be. That's what you get when you're an emerged country."

She sighed as she tried to remember back to her 'emergence', "Well, there wasn't much of an intelligence difference between us, I guess Eclipse gets the smartness boost since he's related to an Eternal. No, I was more of a survivalist and would always look out for myself. Royal was more sympathetic, and would help others out even if it doesn't necessarily help us."

"I would rather that you didn't ask about my 'childhood'," she frowned, "there are some memories I would like to keep in the past."

M: Prudoria's wings also sank just a bit, he could relate to not having a childhood, Wren and Royal's was certainly better than his, but it still felt the same way.  He walked over to her and hugged her comfortingly.

"I know how that feels, I certainly don't want to remember my first years either," he murmured, "but if you do decide to let the pressure off your shoulders, I'll listen to what you have to say."

N: Wren's face grimaced at the hug; she wasn't a big fan of physical touch so she sort of endured the hug until it was over.

Uttering a small sigh of relief, she put on a smile, "nah, it's fine, I mean, I literally can talk to myself about it. If I have survived at least one hundred years shouldering this, then I'm good."

Her smile wavered, feeling increasingly uncomfortable with the topic so she just closed her eyes and switched, and when she opened her eyes, it was Royal up front.

"Sorry about that," the Brit awkwardly smiled as she rubbed the back of her neck, "Wren doesn't like talking about stuff like this, but like she said, I'm fine. Besides, I have my brother to talk to."

M: The young country nodded in understanding, letting Royal walk away without another word.

The day eventually turned into night and everyone was able to settle down to sleep, though the Mandorians decided to spend the night in the infirmary with Mandara and Derogan.  It went smoothly until the latter woke up and snuck out, he remembered everything that happened and was sickened by it.

Not knowing what to do or where to go, he went to the only person that he felt like he could talk to.

"Royal, it's me, Derogan," he called to her after knocking on her door, his voice sounding like he had been crying, "can I please come in ... I ... I need help, p-please."

N: Royal barely registered Derogan's voice, being deeply asleep she couldn't hear him, but someone else did.  Opening her eyes, Wren's bronze iris appeared as she stared at the door, contemplating whether she should get up. Sure, she feels bad for the Mandorian, but at the same time she doesn't take it seriously, like with America.

After a minute of trying to wake Royal up, and failing, she sighed as she got out of bed and wore her nightgown. "He really needs help, Wren, you can do this," she muttered to herself before opening the door.

The moment she laid her eyes on him, she instantly regretted stepping forward to the task. Seeing him crying and upset, she froze from not knowing what to do, but she stepped aside, "come on in. Let's talk."

M: Derogan nodded in thanks and went inside, welcoming himself to sit on her bed and bring his knees to his chest, resuming his tears into his arms.  It took him a while to actually start talking, which surely was awkward for Wren, but he did the best he could.

"I'm scared, Wren, I'm really scared,"  he whimpered, "Percival is really dangerous, he was restraining himself when you saw him, he's killed lots of people before I figured out how to keep him in.  I'm faltering if he did manage to slip, I can't fight much longer, I don't want him to hurt anyone else, I'm so scared."

N: Wren drew up a chair and sat down in front of him, since sitting on the edge of a circular bed would have been awkward. Slowly nodding to what he said, she sighed.

"I get that you're concerned; there was a time Royal felt that too where she would have me under wraps. Granted I'm not as crazy as your secondary alter, I understand," she began, "but Eclip-Percival, or whatever his name is, is also a person. You wouldn't like being second fiddle your whole life, would you? Not being able to live out your own life?"

She gazed out of the window, trying to ignore the fact that the Mandorian was crying in front of her. "Eclipse is a murderer, no doubt about it," she spoke, "he doesn't care for his family and doesn't blink an eye when he hurts someone. Although it does beg the question, has he always been like this?"

She turned to Derogan expectantly for an answer.

M: Derogan looked down as he thought about it, Eclipse had been with him for a long time yet he couldn't really recall a time that he wasn't a bloodthirsty murder.  His head perked up for a second and he seemed to be listening to something.

"He said that it more or less started after Mother died," he reported, "he says that he does care about our family, and that his murderous ways are his coping mechanism after losing the only person who actually loved him, who treated him as a person and not some imaginary nobody ... Yeah he's been mouthing off for the last three hours, it's why I wanted to come talk to you."

N: Wren nodded until she furrowed her brows, "wait, do I talk that much?"  Brushing that thought aside, she stood up and clasped her hands, "see, the solution is easy. Treat Eclipse like the person he is, because the more he's neglected, the more he will lash out, so you will have to treat him like a brother.

"However, if you do really believe that he will do more harm than good if he comes out," the hybrid continued, "make a deal with him; find common ground between you two where you both will be satisfied. I do feel like I'm betraying him to tell you this, but the primary alter ultimately has overall control of the body, no matter how strong the secondary alter is. Hopefully, that gives you some peace of mind."

M: "But for how much longer," Derogan asked fearfully, "I've been fighting this battle ever since I was young, Eclipse hates Mandara, he thinks it's his fault Mother's dead, he-"

The words got caught in his throat, more tears flowing from his eyes, "- h-he tried to drown my brother.  He took him to the laundry room and dropped him in the fountain, then walked out like nothing happened. It was by sheer miracle that someone came in just then and found Mandara."

Derogan flinched and held the sides of his head, "Please stop it, I don't want to listen to you anymore, you've ruined my life, just leave me alone!"

The black marks on his fingertips grew to cover his entire fingers now.

N: Wren bit her lip as she watched everything unfold, so she racked through her head all the possible ways to help Derogan. One way stood out from the rest, but she hated that it had to be that way.

"I know something that can help, but I don't want to be the one doing it," she muttered as her bronze iris turned lapis, and she pulled a confused and tired face as Royal was put forward.

After a moment of Wren explaining her idea, Royal winced at it. Sure, it would help, but she was sure that it would make the situation worse in the long run. However, right now, she wanted the Mandorian to have some piece of mind.

"Follow me," she ordered solemnly as she opened the door, letting the other go first before closing the door behind them, "I know someone who can help."

Slowly making their way towards the guest wing, she stood in front of the door of an Eternal. She hesitated when she sensed a winged country nearby, wondering why they were there, but she sighed as she gently knocked on his door. "Odrus," she whispered, "Odrus, are you awake?"

M: There were some muffled voices of at least two people, then there was a small thud and footsteps that led to the door, and Odrus finally peaked out but didn't open the door all the way.

"It's 1:35 in the morning, why are you up so late, Royal," he groaned, rubbing his eyes, but when he saw Derogan he frowned, "Is there something wrong, Eclipse should have been put into hibernation, he shouldn't be awake right now."

N: "Well, he's apparently been talking nonstop for the last three hours," Royal recounted, "and as you can see," she pointed at Derogan's hands, "his IA is spreading and I'm worried that he would actually split. Please, Odrus, if I could think of any other way, I won't disturb you, but clearly this is another Dixie situation."

After a moment, the hybrid closely observed the Eternal, and with even more wing vibrations coming from his room, she figured out who the other occupant of the room was. "Are ... are we disturbing you two," she asked uneasily.

M: "No actually, we were sleeping, I think he's just being clingy," Odrus chuckled, "I had to physically tear myself from him just to get out of bed, anyway, this shouldn't take long."

The eternal stepped out of the room and closed the door, he didn't want them to see HRE with him just yet, only when the empire was comfortable sharing the new relationship would he tell them.

"W-what are you going to do, is it going to hurt," Derogan whimpered.

"Not at all, you shouldn't feel anything," Odrus reassured him, "we're just going to put Eclipse in time-out for a while.  I tried to earlier but he must have been able to resist it because of his magic, we'll do it better this time."

The two older countries led Derogan back to the infirmary, thankfully no one had woken up since he left.  They eased him back into bed and Odrus put him back to sleep, making sure this time that Eclipse would go to and stay asleep.

"There we go that should do it," he said, "I even made sure to give Eclipse some good dreams about spending time with his family, it should help a bit when he wakes back up."

He turned back to Royal, "Esha and I have been working on a little project, to safely split up a hybrid in a way that won't result in the urge to kill each other, we're still very early in it, but we're making progress, so maybe someday we can rid Derogan and America of their demons, as well as make sure you and Wren will be safe.  I just figured you would like to know."

N: Royal initially smiled at the idea, but the more she thought about it, doubt and guilt started to fill her head.

"I don't know," she admitted as she gazed at the sleeping Derogan, "I've had Wren for literally my entire life, and although it would be great for us to live out our own lives, it's just that ... it feels wrong to leave her. I've suffered to build a good relationship with her so we don't Split that it feels like what you're doing makes my work useless."

She turned to Odrus, determination in her eyes, "You should help Derogan and America. Their secondary alters are harming them and I would want them to live out their lives in peace. However, I will only agree to join you if Wren and I's relationship deteriorates; it will be my last resort."

The Brit thanked the Eternal before leaving, but just before she left, she added, "Also, don't call their secondary alters demons. They're still people," and with that she left.

M: Odrus nodded in understanding, both for Royal not wanting to split up from Wren, and for calling the alter egos demons, she was right, they were just people, people who were crying for help, they just needed to figure out how to help.  The eternal wrote a quick note to Derogan's parents to let them know that their son was taken care of, then made his way back to his room to cuddle his new lover.
