Chapter 96

M: Mandara definitely breathed out in relief, thanking A-H for what he did, the Austrian just shrugged in response, though he had a proud smile on his face like he felt good that he helped out.  Since Mandara insisted on finishing his shift for the day, they bid him ado and left.

"I think A-H and I will head back to the castle," Deutsche announced, "from what Mandara and Derogan told me about their brother, he's probably tearing his hair out trying to find a way to nullify the charges, so we'll head up there and tell them what happened, it was nice hanging out with you all, and I apologize for our rocky start, maybe I'll come back someday and we can hang out some more."

N: "Hopefully we do get along," Wolfgang replied, to which Erna nodded in agreement, "we're heading back to the castle anyway so we might as well join your walk back."

"I'm staying in town," Heinrich spoke, and when his friends questioned as to why, he replied, "Callum was pretty shaken up by the ball, and it didn't really help when slipped up about what happened to Christina."

The two nodded, understanding what he meant, and as they were about to head off, Heinz held them behind until Deutsche and A-H were out of earshot. He even wandered away from the store so Mandara wouldn't hear either and secluded themselves in a small alleyway.

"Don't trust Deutsche," he warned them in German, a precaution just in case someone might overhear them, and when they looked at him confused, he sighed, "he's holding back a lie; a lie that might forever break the bond between him and the Mandorians. He seems nice but be cautious."

Not sure how to take the warning, they agreed to be cautious before jogging back to the two countries.

M: The two didn't notice that Wolfgang and Erna lagged behind a bit, they just kept walking until the four reached their horses.  When they returned they didn't know at first where to go to find Johann, Leaving them to ask around if anyone had seen him.

N: One of the servants guided the group to the dining room where Johann was, talking to BE with Gwyn about the potential of pressing charges against Adeyrn.

"Everyone stop," Wolfgang announced, "we were able to pay off Johann's fines. When I mean 'we', the credit should really go to AH." The Saxon then turned to the Austro-Hungarian and muttered about how he was able to get that rich before being interrupted by an elbow to the side.

Gwyn sighed in relief, "Well, if that's sorted then I don't want to press charges."

"Good, because it was a bad idea," the empire stated, and when the Mandorian questioned as to why, he replied, "Well, from what I have learned, you would have definitely lost the case."

"So why didn't you say anything," Johann replied, agitated that the empire didn't put in his verdict sooner.

"Because I'm not supposed to tell you the outcome since I would have been the judge," BE answered as he poured himself a cup of tea, "and maybe it would have taught you a lesson. There are consequences to your actions."

M: "I just want to say, that woman is a terrible person," Deutsche announced, "Johann, please do not do anything rash, but Mis. Adeyrn did strike Mandara.  He told us that she hit him for arriving late to work, which knocked him into a glass case, and she made him clean it up with his bare hands.  Mandara told me to tell you to please not be angry, he said he's fine and to not do anything stupid, his words, not mine."

"You must have bought something pretty nice, I smell gold and rubies,"  Esha stated.

A-H nodded and took out the ring, "apparently Uram (sir) England did not have the same appreciation as you, he gave away rings that belonged to Dukedom of Normandy, for free.  Now I was going to bring it home to my Apu, but I don't know if Császár (emperor) British Empire would like it back?"

N: BE glanced at the ring, his face souring, "Take it. Although I wasn't alive to see it, none of my fathers or grandparents liked him and the memory of DoN only brings them pain. I'm sure that your father, Austrian Empire, would love it."

"Well that's settled then," Wilfred clasped his hands, "Mandara's free, the ring is heading out of here, and Gwyneth feels better. Let's just keep this up for the rest of the day; a quiet and peaceful day."

M: "I agree, although I can't say that it hasn't been fun so far," A-H smiled, "Come on Deutsche, let's go get something to eat, I'm hungry."

The Austrian took his friend's arm and happily walked away, Deutsche's face on the other hand looked uncomfortable and he mouthed 'help me' to everyone as he was dragged away.

"I fucking hate that guy," Derogan grumbled once they were out of earshot, "Mandara had a thing going on with Deutsche, you know, he told me that they actually kissed, but then that Austrian fucker came around and stepped all over that relationship, our brother cried every night for a week after that."

"This world isn't short of assholes, isn't it," Esha grunted, "I'm going to go find Ivor, the only decent person around here."

N: "You're making the right choice by surrounding yourself with decent people," Wilfred nodded, "from my time in Greece, A-H has definitely ... made an impression on Deutsche."

"What have you learned from your time there," BE asked, "any observations?"

The twin glanced at Derogan before answering the empire's question. "Well, for starters, A-H has the same ferociousness in battle as his father, AE, and although he gets the job done, his work is sloppy."

"And?"

"Deutsche is a good man at heart, but pairing his ambition with A-H's influence, he's someone you should keep an eye on."

When BE nodded, Wil then turned to Derogan although still kept talking to the empire, "he's planning to fight Prussia, and although he does have the support of A-H, you have already declared war on his father. Perhaps form a coalition with him for the war to get on his good side. He's making sure that the Mandorians pay a price when the war is won, so maybe you can convince him to let them off the hook."

BE sighed as he got up, "I'll try. Knowing A-H it will be difficult, but thanks for the intel."

As the empire walked away, a somber atmosphere settled in, until Johann blurted out.  "Mandara kissed Deutsche," the Mandorian yelled in surprise, "and why are you so dense, Derogan?"

M: "What do you mean dense, Pipsqueak, I'm the one who said they had a relationship," Derogan grumbled in indignation,  "what does me telling you that our brother liked someone indicates that I'm dense?"

The young country smirked and lunged for Johann, wrapping his arms around his brother and attempting to wrestle with him.

"Just like old times, buddy, you take it back or I'm gonna sit on you again," he laughed.

N: "Nein, never," Johann laughed as he was able to squeeze himself out into freedom, his stance ready to wrestle, "you just said that Mandara TOLD you, that means you were oblivious before. Wilfred, back me up."

The Brit chuckled as he nodded, "I can confirm that Derogan was a little oblivious about what was happening between Mandara and Deutsche. I was surprised how I quickly caught on but he didn't."

"See, even Wilfred said so," the Mandorian smiled, looking away from his brother for a moment before being tackled to the ground in the next.

M: "I am not oblivious, it's a little hard to notice relationship shit when you're living on the road for one and a half years, and I wasn't there to watch them kiss, so how the hell would I know about it without getting it second hand," Derogan tried to defend himself, rolling on the ground with Johann.

They tussled for another minute or so until Derogan managed to press his sibling to the ground and sit on his back, "now say uncle, punk."

N: "Never," Johann chuckled before spitting feathers out of his mouth, "and get your -pfft- wings out of my face."

Wolfgang laughed as we walked up to the Mandorian and crouched down. "Looks like you met your match, Jo," he sneered, "so are you going to be sat on for the rest of eternity, or are you fine being squished into a pancake?"

Johann grumbled before finally muttering, "Uncle".

M: "Damn right uncle, I'm still the best," Derogan cheered, releasing Johann, "I'm not done with you yet, you know the rules."

He helped Johann up only to headlock him and give him a quick but aggressive noogie, "Boy did I miss you, little brother."

After the punishment was finished, Derogan clapped his hands and addressed Erna and Wolfie, "So now that we got the housekeeping out of the way, what kind of mischief do you guys want to get up to, I haven't done a good prank ever since Wil's mutt kept foiling our plans back in Greece."

N: "And I thank Chester every single time," Wilfred smirked, although his smile quickly turned upside down, "however, never call my dog a mutt, he's better than you'll ever be."

"Damn, harsh," Erna spoke before turning to Derogan, "and Kress wasn't kidding about how mischievous you are then? Well count me out; I'm not planning to get in trouble today."

"Seriously, you're going to leave me with these two," Wolfgang grumbled, and when he saw Derogan and Johann stand side by side, both ready to pull a prank, he shuddered, "ja, I would rather join you guys than get pranked on."

"Good choice," the Mandorian smiled, "we should prank someone who wasn't too affected by what happened at the ball. Maybe ... Neflen. The Eternals are yet to be properly pranked."

"Ja, maybe because we don't want to be, I don't know, obliterated by their magic."

M: "Yeah I'm with Wolfie there, I'm not exactly in the mood to be disintegrated," Derogan said, but he thought about it for a moment and shrugged, "Well you only live once, let's do it, I'll let you lead this one, Jo, you've got more experience with these guys than I do."

N: "Ok, let's think this through," Johann spoke as he brought them into a group huddle while the others snickered, "what is Neflen afraid of?"

Wolfgang went silent for a moment before answering, "I overheard him talking to Esha about how he doesn't like the rats in the dungeons, maybe that could help. But how are we going to get the rats to him?"

The Mandorian smirked mischievously, "We spike his drink with caffeine, make him sleepy, and take him to a room with rats so that when he wakes up, he's surrounded by them."

"We're going to get ourselves killed."

M: "I like it, it'll give him a nice taste of what he has to deal with now that the Prankster Trio is back together, as well as warn everyone else,"  Derogan grinned mischievously, "Wolf, since you're being a pussy about this, you can have the simple and safe task of catching the rats, Johann and I will go find Neflen and figure out what to drug him with."

N: "Simple," Wolfgang scoffed as he walked away, "how the hell is catching a dozen rats simple?"

While the Saxon was off to catch rats, the two Mandorians turned to each other. "If we find FE or BE, they should lead us to a drug we can give him," Johann suggested, "but let's go find Neflen."

M: "You think those two would even want to help us, considering the pranks we've pulled on them when they visited Father back home I would think they wouldn't help much," Derogan wondered.

Nonetheless, he followed Johann as they searched for Neflen, first they looked in the infirmary to see if he was still resting from fighting Prussia.  When the eternal was not there they continued their search, and managed to track him down to the ballroom, where he was using his shapeshifting to help BE and several workers to clean up the damage from last night.

N: BE tutted at the damage, and when he saw the pair by the door, he raised a brow and walked over. "Why are you here," he questioned.

"Is it illegal to be here," Johann joked, but when the empire said that he potentially could, the Mandorian quickly took back what he said, "anyway, we just wanted to see when Neflen is free."

"Just ask him," the empire shrugged.

Johann nodded, but then he walked up to the empire to whisper, "also, do you happen to know where to find a drug that can, perhaps, make someone sleepy."

The empire sighed and shook his head in disappointment, digging his hand into his pouch before revealing a small vial. There was a white powdery substance inside it, and when the Mandorian held it in his hand, he shook it around to see it reflect light off its crystal structure.

"Before you ask, I use it on myself to help me sleep, my wife made it for me so that it was the right dosage," the empire explained, "dissolve it in a drink, drink it, and then I'm out in half an hour. I can guess what you might do, but it better not be disruptive."

M: "Well that really depends on how loud Neflen will scream when he wakes up," Derogan chuckled, "all we'll say is that it involves rats, don't worry we'll catch them again when we're done."

Derogan surveyed the room and got an idea, "I got a plan now, we go to the kitchen and make drinks for everyone, we tell them that our fathers sent us to help to keep us out of trouble.  Once Neflen gets sleepy enough we offer to take him to the rat room to rest."

N: BE shook his head, "whoever is dealing with the rats better wash themselves afterward. Rats are downright filthy."

"Wolfe will have a fun time with them then," Johann chuckled, "seems like we got a plan so let's do it. Thanks BE."

"I refuse to be a part of this," the empire retorted but the pair were already gone, so he just sighed as he waited for them to return. It wasn't too long before he watched the pair bring out trays of drinks for everyone. Crossing his arms, he mentally prepared himself for disaster to strike at any moment.

M: Derogan and Johann were very good actors, they have been pranking people most of their lives so have developed lots of skills to be convincing.  No one thought the wiser, not even Neflen when he was given a specific drink.

After the refreshments were handed out, the two actually helped out a little bit while they waited for the medicine to kick in for the eternal.  At around the half-hour mark, poor Neflen was certainly starting to feel the effects, he had a hard time keeping his eyes open and was starting to sway a little bit.  The two went up to him to pretend to ask what was wrong, then offered to take him to bed, to which he nodded in agreement.

N: They carefully took him to a small bedroom in the guest wing, thankful that the Eternal had shifted back to normal, and when he was in bed, they wished him good night before shutting the door behind them.

"What's taking Wolfe so long," Johann groaned, and as soon as he did, the said Saxon was trudging towards the room, in either hand was a crate filled with a dozen rats. His clothes tatted and covered in muck, the Saxon was not in a good mood.

"These little demons really do put up a good fight," Wolfgang grumbled, and he glanced at the door, "he's in there?"

"Ja, peacefully asleep," Johann smirked, opening the door to let the Saxon through before quickly shutting it.

After waiting a couple more minutes, Wolfgang stepped outside, hands empty before quickly shutting the door, "Those rats are roaming free in that room. It looks like a real infestation."

"Good," Johann chuckled, "now all we have to do is wait."

M: "Probably for a while, we don't exactly know how long that drug is going to last," Derogan said, "then again, the rats may just nibble on him enough to wake him up."

So they sat down on the opposite side of the hall and waited, they waited and waited for what seemed like hours, yet all they were met with was disappointment when Neflen opened the door with the rats in two cages.

"Nice try you morons, but I'm too tired to be scared," he groaned, "next time you want to prank me with a mouse, hide it in a box like a normal person, now I got to go back to the damn infirmary for rat bites."

He dropped the rat cages at the boys' feet and told them that they could give them to Esha for her pets, then took a few steps down the hall before faceplanting on the floor and falling back asleep.

"Well shit, that was anti-climactic," Derogan grumbled.

N: Wolfgang just started at Neflen in confusion, "what the hell did you guys give him?"

"Uhh, just something from BE," Johann answered as he watched Wolfgang walked up to the Eternal, "it was something he used to fall asleep?"

"You gave someone drugs that an empire would use to fall asleep," the Saxon inquired, crouching down as he studied Neflen, "you would think that BE's dosage would be higher since he works so much."

"I didn't think about that," the Mandorian began, but was quickly silenced when the Saxon raised his hand.

"Bring a bowl of warm water," Wolfe ordered, "and help me take Neflen back to bed. I'm sure you know this, but a prank I used to pull with the knights is submerging a knights hand in warm water, and lo and behold they've pissed themselves." The Saxon looked up to them and smiled, "we could say that Neflen pissed himself scared when he saw the rats, and we're the only witnesses to it."

M: "Oooh, that's a good one, why didn't we think about that," Derogan stated, "We're always doing pranks meant to scare people, we got to do the embarrassment ones more often."

Since Derogan was stronger than Johann, he offered to help Neflen back into bed while his brother grabbed the water.  He felt bad for the maids that would have to clean up this room, it was filthy from the rats and now there would be piss on the bed, he made a mental note to help them out when it was done, at least in that he had matured.

"So what do we do after we put his hand in the water," he asked when Johann came back, "leave him here and let him wake up or wait to take away the bowl, because it would be funny if we left it and he knocked it all over himself, then he would be soaked in two different ways."

N: "It doesn't take too long for the magic to work," Wolfgang smirked as he watched Johann carefully place the bowl on the bedside table and submerging the Eternal's hand.

Sure enough, within minutes, a decently sized wet patch began to form in Neflen's trousers, to which the Saxon smiled, "works every time."

M: Derogan tried his hardest not to laugh, he was snickering so hard he was hurting his throat, "now this is a successful prank, I guess the simple ones work the best."

The country took the liberty of removing Neflen's hand from the bowl, and for added measure, he put the bowl on the floor next to the bed for when the Eternal would wake up.

"To bad Mandara's not here, I'd say the Prankster Trio has gained a new member, now we have to change the name again."

N: "Nein, I haven't joined your gang," Wolfgang refused as he made his way out of the room, "after all, I am not a man-child like you."

"What a wonderful suggestion, Wolfe," Johann smiled as he followed him out and slung his arm over his shoulders, stretching his hand out, "the Prankster Gang works, and it doesn't limit us to four people. Your first order of business is," he quickly took a whiff of the Saxon, "having a bath. You smell worse than Mr. Weismann's compost heap."

"Halt's Maul (shut up)," the Saxon grumbled as he grabbed the crates, taking them back to where the rats belonged.

M: "We can take him to Edel for a bath," Derogan joked, "although he does have a pretty good nose, he might not want to bathe him.  Anyway, I think I'm all mischiefed out, I'm gonna head back to the ballroom to help out some more, you coming, or have you not quite grown up just yet?

N: Johann rolled his eyes, "'Not quite grown up yet'? Dear brother, do you really think so little of me?" The Mandorian chuckled, "of course I want to pull another prank, but I also don't want to draw attention to myself either for the prank on Neflen to work. A sacrifice for the greater good. I'm coming with you."

M: "Oh gosh, now I really feel like I've grown up, I certainly don't feel as energetic as before," Derogan chuckled, "you're pretty lucky, you got to stay innocent and care free."

The country realised what he just said and frowned, he had to remind himself that his brother and fathers experienced so much worse than he and Mandara did, he apologized for that.

"In all seriousness, have you done anything productive since you've been here, I was able to serve in the police back in Greece, and Mandara worked as a mail deliverer."

N: Johann's smile faltered at first; although he accepted Derogan's apology, he definitely didn't feel lucky.

"I ... haven't really," the Mandorian answered as he rubbed the back of his neck, "I sometimes helped Hezyka with training the cadets but that's pretty much it. I didn't really have much to go off of when we were back home; I was only a cadet. I don't plan to enter the cavalry ever since I- never mind."

The younger brother eventually sighed, "I've just been living in the moment, you know, making up for lost time.  I know I can't be carefree forever, but I don't really know what to do or even my future here.

M: Derogan nodded along, everything Johann said was bitterly relatable, he and Mandara certainly experienced that uncertainty before, and now that he thought about it, they were about to feel it all over again.

"I know how it feels to not know what the future holds, Mandara and I definitely didn't know our future when we were banished," he agreed, "honestly, I think you're doing the right thing, it's better to live in the moment than worry about what's to come."

A small smirk crossed his face, "then again, you could always look to Gwyn when you think about your future, you two have a pretty good thing going on, don't let this opportunity slip away from you, you might not get another chance, you definitely won't find another girl like her."

N: "Shut up," Johann mumbled as he gently punched Derogan's arm but he couldn't help but smile at the mention of Gwyn, "I'm definitely looking forward to my future with her, I can promise you that.

"Speaking about girls," the Mandorian smirked as they slowly made their way back to the ballroom, "there must have been someone who had caught your eye."

M: "No, not yet, there weren't a lot of female countries in Greece," Derogan shrugged, "not to mention there weren't many people at the ball that were our age, I'm still considered a kid to all of these empires that are hundreds of years old.  I'm not too worried, maybe someday I'll meet someone, but until then I'll just have fun pestering you about your sweetheart."

N: "Seriously," Johann laughed, "well then, I'll wait for the day when you find someone, then you will get a taste of your own medicine."

Once they had arrived at the ballroom, the Mandorian looked at all the wreckage, "looks like we got a lot of work to do."

M: "Yep, we sure do," Derogan agreed, "well, it won't get cleaned up from just looking at it, I sure hope those muscles you kept talking about are up to the task."

While the two helped out in the ballroom, a certain eternal was leading her new human friend to the cemetery to show him something.  Esha knew she was going to get scolded for this, she was about to break Prometheus's promise to not tell anyone his secret ... well, not completely, she didn't tell Ivor about Prometheus himself, just that she was offered to see Aurther again, and she wanted his best friend to have a chance to say goodbye.

"Alright, we're here," she told him, "Now remember the oath I made you take, you can't tell anyone about this, I'm breaking a promise as it is to let you say goodbye, so you can't do the same thing, you got it."

N: Ivor nodded, "I don't know how all this is going to work, but yes, I promise that I won't tell a soul."

"Good, because you shouldn't be here in the first place," a voice spoke, and soon two men dressed in black, paying their respects. One of them looked up, his silver eyes flickering between the pair, "I'm sure you're fine that Caelestis is here with us."

"You can't exactly do your job without me," the redhead smirked, "a major disadvantage of your abilities, Prissy."

"Shut it, Cal," Prometheus snapped as he stood by Arthur's grave, "you see him, right? Anchor him."

Cal nodded as he stared at the empty space between Esha and Ivor and reached his hand out. His hand turning red with specks of black, he seemed to be holding something in his grasp and moving it towards Prometheus. The moment he was done, in his empty hand he summoned his obsidian sword, and in one swift motion stabbed it into the ground and with his red hand drew a thread from thin air and attached one end to the hilt.

"Was that really necessary," the tailor groaned as he flinched from the stab, a small cut appearing on his cheek.

"If you want this to work, yes," the other rolled his eyes, "he's anchored so now you do the rest."

Prometheus sighed as both his hands turned to a dark ocean blue and he held them up. He seemed to be holding something between his hands, and soon the Celestial closed his eyes, concentrating as he worked.

Slowly but surely a figure appeared in front of him, slowly becoming visible until finally before them stood Arthur, his eyes closed. When Prometheus finally let go, Arthur took a deep breath and opened his eyes, normal and human.

"This is a temporary fix," Prometheus explained, "he's not one of my Reborns as he's still connected to Cal with the thread," he gestured at the thread connecting the man's wrist to the hilt, "but he's definitely here."

Arthur just stared at Esha and Ivor in confusion, confused as to how they were looking at him, like they could see him.

"Esha? Ivor?" he asked, "am I alive?"

M: Esha put her hands over her mouth, she couldn't believe her eyes that Arthur was actually there, though she guessed that since his eyes were normal that he wasn't alive.

She walked up to him slowly, like if she moved too fast he would disappear.  With tears in her eyes and a relieved smile on her face, she reached out to her friend, wanting to see if her hand would go through him or connect with him.

N: His eyes still full of wonder and confusion, Arthur reached out and touched Esha's hand. Seeing this, he then held her hand as tears ran down his face.

"Come here," he smiled as he pulled her into a hug, burying his head into her shoulder, "oh how I have missed you, Eshie."

M: Esha couldn't hold back her tears any longer and broke down while she embraced her lover again, that thought is what really made her cry, he will forever be known as the one who got away, someone whom she wanted to spend all her life with but never could.

"I've missed you too, Arthur, I can't begin to tell you how much I did," she cried, her sobs almost sounding like laughter, "there's so much I never got to tell you, and so much that you've missed."

Everything was happening so fast that she couldn't find the right words to say, all the emotions jumbled up and prevented her from speaking, so she did the only other thing she could do.  Once the two broke the hug she planted a kiss onto Arthur's lips, she finally got her chance to do it and she wasn't going to let it slip by again.

N: "Yup, let's give them some space," Cal muttered as he and Prometheus took a couple of steps back.

Arthur was initially taken by surprise by the kiss but he quickly eased himself into it, holding Esha close, worried that he would never hold her again.

When they had finally broke apart, he placed both hands on either side of her head and they gently touched their foreheads.

"I love you, Esha," he smiled, uttering a sigh as the huge burden to tell her finally lifted off his chest, "I've loved you since I laid eyes on you, and the feeling I had being with you was the best feeling I've ever felt." His shoulders fell as he cried tears of sadness, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner when I was ... alive. Forgive me for the pain you felt; you didn't deserve it."

M: "You caused me no pain Arthur, none of this was your fault," Esha reassured him, wiping his eyes, "yes I was devastated, I almost accidentally joined you when your body was laid to rest, but my pain was and will never be your doing, the one at fault is currently back in Hell where he belongs."

The two embraced each other for a few more minutes, telling one another all the words and emotions they'd been holding onto for so long.  Eventually, Esha looked back at Ivor and offered for him to have a turn with his best friend.

N: Arthur smiled at Ivor, watching as a mammoth of a man tear up in front of him and waddled over.

"It's nice to see you-oh my," he began but the air was quickly squeezed out of his lungs as the blacksmith embraced him in a bear hug, even lifting him off the ground.

"Oh I've missed your stupid face, Artie," the blacksmith laughed, continuing to hug his friend until there were enough protests to let him go. After a moment, Ivor wiped tears out his eyes, realization hitting him like a brick wall, "but now you're going to go again."

"I will always be with you," Arthur reassured him, then he turned to Esha, "both of you. I promise from the bottom of my heart that I will never leave your side."

M: "I wouldn't expect any less, my love," Esha smiled, "I long for the day we will see each other on the same plane of existence again, whether it be in life or in death.  I pray that the great spirits will watch over you, just as you will watch over us."

The eternal reached into her bag and pulled out something, it was a little horse figurine made of wood, it even had a tiny little saddle and halter.

"I know how much you loved your horse, so with the help of Odrus, I made it so you could take her with you," she said, doing her best to hold in her tears, "I promise I'll take care of her for you, she'll be in good hands while you're gone."

N: Arthur rubbed his thumb over the figurine, his lips quivering, "look at you, Angel. Beautiful as always."

He looked up to Esha and slowly nodded, "Thank you so much, Eshie. Thank you for returning her to me," and then he turned to the Celestials, "and thank you both for letting me talk to Esha and Ivor one last time."

"Don't worry about it," Prometheus softly smiled while Caelestis dipped his head.

"I can't stay here, can I?"

"Sadly no," the tailor spoke as they watched Cal walk over to his sword, "even though you were taken before your time, nature cannot be reversed. Say your final goodbyes before Cal un-anchors you from this plane."

The redhead let the trio have their final moments, and once they gave him the thumbs up, he pulled his sword out of the ground, severing the connection between it and Arthur.

Ivor and Esha watched as the person they held dear slowly disappeared before their eyes, but this time a smile was on his face; a face of fulfilment and a man who was whole.

Arthur soon was gone, his grave in front of them as they let the moment sink in.

M: Esha quietly stood there, leaning against Ivor as her energy left with Arthur, it already felt like a distant memory that she was talking to him.

Once the moment passed, she walked up to Prometheus and Caelestis, hugging the former and nodding in respect to the latter.

"Words cannot express how thankful I am to you both, I finally have some closure and peace of mind," she thanked them, wiping her damp eyes, "and thank you for allowing Ivor to be here, too, he needed the closure just as much as I did."

N: "Yeah, thanks for allowing me to meet Arthur again," Ivor nodded, "I would have been pretty bummed if I couldn't."

"Well, you wouldn't have known if this one didn't say anything," Cal pointed out, pointing at Esha before getting elbowed by the other Celestial.

"What Cal should have said is that we're happy that we could be of service," Prometheus corrected, watching as the other rolled his eyes, "and I'm afraid that this would probably be the last time you would see us, or at least for a very long time.

The Celestial walked up to them and placed a hand on their shoulders, a small smile forming on his face. "I wish you both the absolute best and I'm glad you found each other; someone who you could share your grief with. Ivor," he turned to the blacksmith, "this will most likely be our last interaction, and I would like you to know that you are one of the few humans who give me hope for your kind. You're a good man at heart and I want you to cherish it."

The tailor sighed as he turned to the Eternal, "Esha. There is a chance we may cross paths in the future, who knows, but if there is a chance that we don't, I want you to live life out to its fullest. Explore places, see the world around you, something you couldn't do for so long, and live, not just survive. Live, Esha, live."
