Chapter 62

M:  "So if it is Saxon he wants, you're really willing to send your grandfather to slaughter," Esha asked, "I understand that it's for England and Saxon would give himself for his son anyway, but do we have a plan to get him out as well, because I'm 80% sure that Suebi would kill Saxon if given the chance."

"We're still working on that," Askad said when he suddenly appeared, causing Neflen to wake up with a snort, "we obviously don't want Suebi to walk away with anyone so we're still trying to come up with a plan to get rid of him once and for all."

He then handed a piece of paper to BE, when Esha asked what it was he said, "Suspects, we've been going over the memory you sent us of England's capture, Suebi said that an Englishwoman ratted out where he could find England so we've been interrogating anyone who could have known he was gone," he then said to BE, "the crossed out names have solid alibis and the circled ones need further investigating.

N:   "But that list is rapidly shrinking," BE added, "because we have to also assume that they know Suebi, his relations to Father, and that whatever they are saying is the truth. To the couple we have interviewed, Grandpa was able to confirm that they were telling the truth."

"Why can't you ask Royal to do that," Scotland asked, peering over to the paper until he frowned, "you think she is responsible."

"No I do not," the empire shook his head, "but she fits the description: an Englishwoman who knew about Father's departure, knows who Suebi is, and she has the time and the wings to find him."

"I know that she wouldn't," the Scot crossed his arms as he face his son, "she has worked for me before assisting you, and she has always performed well while she was with me, and if she had any respect for me, she wouldn't have done that to England."

The younger country just shrugged, "Then we will find out, but for now we are not taking any exceptions."

M:   "I don't think she would either," Esha said firmly, "she's said before that she already has treason on her record and doesn't want it to grow, not to mention she's the one who got us this far in saving England by sending Suebi a message."

"How did she do that though," Neflen said, "honestly that makes her more suspicious that she was able to make contact with that madman."

"She used scarecrows somehow," Esha explained, "Scotty chopped one up yesterday because it was mocking him, I think."

"Still, better safe than sorry," Askad shrugged, "I'll go have a word with her, if you don't hear from me in thirty minutes, either send backup or a search party."

N:   "Are you serious," Scotland spoke as he got up from his seat, "No, I'm coming with you-"

"No, you are not," BE ordered as he stood in front of his father, shocking the Scot, "he will go on his own and for no one to interrupt him." The empire turned to the naga, "If you need Grandpa to help tell if she's lying, then you may, but otherwise it's just going to be the both of you."

M:   Askad chuckled nervously, he couldn't lie that he was scared for his safety, "I think I just might, but only to use him as a human shield, but with that being said, wish me luck."

He slithered out to go find the two winged countries, and no sooner than he did Esha said, "he is going to die, I call dibs on his stuff."

"Esha, that's not very nice," Neflen scolded, then smirked, "at least let the rest of us get one of his things."

The two eternals laughed at their joke, but it was cut short when the draconic country let out a sneeze that nearly set her bed on fire, then proceeded to snuggle deeper into her blanket nest as the inevitable sickness finally set in.

"Nurse, we might need a fire extinguisher on standby," Neflen jokingly called out, earning a light-hearted wing slap to the head.

N:   Meanwhile Royal was at the garrison, checking the armory as it wasn't out of the ordinary for a random sword or any weapon with a metal blade to form cracks from the cold, so she went through every single one, making sure it is still usable.

Anglo leaned against the door frame, watching as she worked, and he knew that something was on her mind. "You have to think ten steps ahead to be able to get around Suebi," he stated, "and I don't know what he has learned over the centuries; what new things he knows or can do."

"Then I will be twenty steps ahead of him," she simply stated, looking up from the short sword in her hand, "and I think Saxon's the key."

The Englishman was about to answer when he heard someone approaching, and he smiled when he saw Askad approaching, "It's nice to see you here, Askad, but what brings you here?"

M:   "Uh ... nothing much," he said nervously, he didn't realize just how scared he would be until he found them both, the fact that they were in the armory surrounded by weapons was very little comfort.

"Um, BE and I were going over the suspects again and we only have a few more to question," he explained, his tail quietly rattling in fear, "and for some reason, I didn't want to save the scariest for last."

He tried to question Royal but the words completely caught in his throat, so out of panic he threw the list at her feet and ducked behind Anglo's wing, intending to keep his promise and use him as a meat shield.

N:   Royal looked down in confusion at the piece of paper at her feet, picking it up to take a closer look, and after a quick scan her brows furrowed, her feathers bristling for a moment before falling still.

"You would think that a being with magic, has a venomous bite, and is way taller wouldn't be afraid of someone who sin's all those things," she grumbled, throwing the paper back and looking up to the naga, "you don't actually believe this?"

"Believe what," Anglo asked, wondering why Askad was hiding behind his wings.

"That I am working with Suebi," the hybrid growled, "what's BE's fucking excuse this time?"

M:   "I actually don't believe it," Askad explained, "nor does BE, he just wants us to be extra thorough with our investigation. Honestly, I think the only reason he suggested it was because of your outburst yesterday during lunch."

He hid further behind Anglo and coiled around his legs, "Who isn't freaking terrified of you, you're an incredible fighter and can be unpredictable, you and Esha are the scariest people here and make Suebi look like a plush toy."

N:   "Yeah, go and tell that to Saxon and see how he feels about you calling his father that," Royal frowned, "Suebi is someone to take seriously, for someone to kill someone for the sake of it isn't a person at all. Since we are talking truthfully here, I don't care about BE's fragile ego. If I tell him that I didn't take his goddamn father away from him, then I didn't."

She walked up to them and picked up the note, and using the sword in her hand, she cut a fine slit across her name before handing it over to Askad. "Looks like you're down a major suspect," she spoke, "and the next time you interrogate someone, don't stumble over your words."

Anglo sighed before asking, "I believe that it wasn't you, but I would like to ask: how did you know how to communicate with Suebi?"

The hybrid stared at the Englishman, a facial expression that read 'Are you serious' before answering. "If I tell you, it spoils the whole fun of it. After Suebi has gone back to wherever hole he was from, then I'll tell you."

M:   "Understood," Askad said quickly, "I should probably get going now, bye."

With that, he transformed into his snake and slithered away as fast as possible, making a mental note to strangle BE for putting him in that situation.

"Well that went well," Uskaine mumbled as he suddenly appeared, pulling a sled of firewood, "BE is going to get someone stabbed running errands for him one of these days."

N:   "Fun fact, that already happened," Royal replied, acting as if what just happened never occurred, "it was a year when BE and FE's relationship was at an all-time low, which obviously happened during a war, and Wilfred was almost like the mediator between them. One day, he had to send a message to FE on BE's behalf when some French soldiers ambushed him, thinking that he was BE himself. Luckily he wasn't too hurt, and it was confirmed that it was Kingdom of France who organized it."

"And if that frog face dares to do anything in the ball," Anglo grumbled, "then I will personally have him kicked out of the country." When he saw that Royal was confused by his reaction, he sighed, "I have my own reasons to despise the French, except France, she's a wonderful woman." The Englishman chuckled lightly, "I mean, I am a Germanic country who is the vater of England, my 'hate the French' points only doubled."

M:   "You modern eternals will never cease to amuse and disappoint me," Uskaine chuckled, "in my days you would settle that by a single disarm-only duel, these century-long squabbles are just embarrassing for all parties."

He shivered a bit and wrapped his scarf around him, "I got to get back inside, Edel's gotten restless and we think he's just hours away from giving birth, so we need to keep the dining hall quite warm for the whelps when they arrive, you guys want to see how he's doing?"

N:   "I might go and check on him," Anglo nodded, turning to Royal, "Are you coming?"

"I will in a minute," she replied as she walked further into the armory, "go ahead and I'll catch up with you."

The Englishman shrugged, seeing that it wasn't an issue, so he walked back to the dining hall with Uskaine. Along the way, he began to think about what may happen today, so he spoke solemnly, "I doubt that I will be there to see Edel give birth. We're making preparations to meet Suebi to get England back, but the journey takes a couple of hours. If he does give birth beforehand, then I will definitely be nearby, but I prioritize my son."

M:   "In all honesty, I think Edel is trying to wait for England to come back," the centaur suggested, "Esha checked him the other day and said that he was actually supposed to be due two days ago. It's not unheard of for a dragon to voluntarily delay giving birth if their environment is not fit to accept babies, then they will release a hormone that delays labor for as long as necessary, but given that Edel is not a true dragon and just an animated statue, his hormones might be weaker and can only hold off birth for so long, that's my theory at least."

They continued walking until they reached the dining hall, which felt like it was the middle of summer from how hot it was. There were a few servants, Johann, and a vet there as they made sure Edel was as comfortable as possible, Sleipnir also stuck close to his mate to keep him calm.

The dragon was bundled up in lots of blankets in front of the fireplace, he was breathing a little heavy but not enough to signify labor yet. The countryhumans came closer and caused the reptile to open his eye a bit, purring at their company.

N:   Anglo smiled at the sight, and when he took a step forward and reached out his hand, he made sure that Sleipnir was fine with it. Stroking his fur, he muttered, "You're doing great buddy. We won't disturb you for too long."

The country stood up and headed over to Johann, who was wearing just a thin white shirt, having given up keeping in his jumper for the winter weather. Seeing the firewood Uskaine brought in, he volunteered to help carry them in, stacking them in a pile in the corner.

"Edel the mama hen," the Mandorian chuckled quietly, "I still can't believe that he's going to give birth to his own kids, but it would be exciting either way."

M:   "I know, I can't wait to see the process," Uskaine declared, "this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the beginning of life for a dragon, even for us who live billions of lifetimes, I'm so excited."

"Imagen being someone who thought dragons were just fairy tales," the vet chuckled, "my colleagues' would always mock me for wanting to work with dangerous creatures who could eat you alive if they wanted, but I don't see any of them getting to work on a dragon."

"Well I guess now it is you who will have the last laugh," Uskaine smiled, "what might your name be again?"

"Ludwick, Dr. Hans Ludwick to be precise," the man greeted, shaking the eternal's hand, "I prefer to go by my last name, even though it doesn't make me sound any less Prussian."

"You're from Prussia?" Uskaine said in shock.

"Dresden, I try not to associate with Prussia too much," he admitted, "it's a rather sad story of why I'm in the British Isles, I rather not talk about it."

N:   Johann dropped some of the firewood in shock, although he quickly snapped out of it and picked up the rolling log, muttering an apology under his breath as he did. Once he was finished, the Mandorian walked over to Edel and quietly sat beside him, running his fingers through his fur.

"Es tut mir leid, I didn't mean to do that," he apologized, "It's just that ... I haven't met someone from Dresden and I always dreamed to visit the place. Although Pirna was a nice place, Dresden seemed like there were so many amazing things there."

He looked up at the vet and weakly smiled, "Well, I guess that dream died pretty quickly."

M:   Ludwick seemed a little confused a first, but when Anglo whispered to him Johann's story he nodded in understanding.

"Don't worry kid, you weren't missing that much," he said gently, sitting down across from him, "yes there were a lot of great things about Dresden, but it's hard to enjoy them when you were a lower-class citizen, not to mention Dresden was a rather heavy loyalist town to Prussia, so that meant that anyone with different opinions were dragged through the dirt."

He pat Johann's shoulder, "Besides, you got the chance to live in Mandoria, that's like heaven on earth to us, I'm the jealous one here, you are incredibly lucky, my boy."

N:   Johann smiled a bit, not sure how to respond, but he let there be a comfortable silence between them. Soon, Royal stepped in and was shocked by the heat in the room, "wow, you were not joking when you said that this room will be warm. You might as well invite Finland over here; that guy lives in a sauna."

Anglo lightly chuckled before shaking his head, "Let the Finn be, besides it's good for Edel."

"You know that you're talking to an emerged country," she smirked, "I literally skipped the whole 'birthing' process, so I apologize in advance if I become a bit insensitive, but if you say it's good, I trust your word."

M:   "What's an emerged country," Uskaine asked, "I've never heard of that species before."

When it was explained, Uskaine hummed with interest, "Fascinating, the more I learn about modern eternals, the cooler you guys get."

He took a notebook out of a pouch he always had and started writing in it, "Modern creatures are so fascinating, animals and people who can do things that we did without magic, it's incredible."

N:   "And make sure you write about hybrids," Royal added, "and no I am not talking about a hybrid of different animals. Apparently, you didn't have any back in your days."

"When you say that our species can do things that you can without magic," Anglo asked, raising a brow, "could you give some examples?"

M:   "No, we had hybrids, look at me after all," Uskaine chuckled, "it's just your definition of hybrid that is different to me, if anything, I would have named it a split or double eternal, not hybrid."

When Anglo spoke, the centaur sat down to explain, "Well, there is growing plants for starters, magic was so critical in our years that plant life would wither if you didn't use magic to grow it. But it's not just humans and eternals that are like that, many other animals have adapted in such ways that seemed impossible without magic, like how bumblebees can fly with tiny wings, or how bears can practically go into stasis for months at a time."

"You didn't have bears and bees," Ludwick asked.

"Not exactly, we had owlbears but that's different," Uskaine shrugged, "we did have bees but they had magic that made their wings strong enough to lift themselves."

N:   "So in your time, the world was powered by magic," Anglo tried to summarise, "and ours has adapted to the absence of magic. I mean, yours had clear disadvantages, but at least you were in control of it; for us, it's just by chance. You hope that your crops grow, that there are no pathogens destroying them, or that a storm would come through, and it is seasonal too."

"But that taught us to become specialized in different fields," Johann added, "but wait, your bees needed magic to be strong enough to fly? That means that either they are huge or that they have tiny wings, because they can fly fine."

"Obviously, they are masters at entering rooms, but they can't tell their left from their right when it comes to flying out. I swear sometimes I think they are blind," Anglo laughed. The Mandorian joined in, chuckling for a moment before calming down.

"Maybe don't call us a split," Royal spoke all of a sudden, slightly whining at the word, "what we call a Split is the event when the primary and secondary alters," she used her two index fingers to indicate two people moving apart, "split into two. What usually ensues is that one of the alters would eventually die, and both would subconsciously want to kill the other, so split isn't the right word. But double eternal sounds nice."

M:   "Oh, I apologize, I didn't know," Uskaine said solemnly, "I will remember that now, don't worry."

Before anyone could add to the conversation, Edel groaned a little and shifted in his nest.

"We should probably give her some space," Ludwick suggested, "she needs plenty of rest so she doesn't become too exhausted to give birth."

"It sounds so weird to call Edel a she," Uskaine said, "we've been calling him a boy for so long that it feels unnatural."

"I can see that, I had a pigeon when I was a boy that I thought was a girl," Ludwick spoke, "she was a boy but I kept calling her a girl."

He put on the stethoscope he had around his neck and listened to Edel's belly, smiling as he did, "They're so close, we should be seeing babies by the end of the day."

"How many are there," Uskaine asked.

"I can detect three heartbeats, so at least three babies," Ludwick declared, then pat Edel, "congratulations big guy."

N:   "At least," Johann said in surprise, "so there could be more?"

Royal hmmed, "I mean, he is a reptile, and they could have quite a lot of offspring." She looked outside, seeing that it was nearing noon, "Anglo, we need to start getting ready to go."

"But it's only noon-"

"It's winter," the hybrid interrupted, "the sun sets earlier, and it will take a while to travel there."

The Englishman nodded, watching the other leave the room, then turned to the rest, "Well, let's hope that England comes back home."

M:   "From what Johann has told me, I think he might just have some new siblings when you return," Ludwick joked, "I do hope that Sir England comes back unharmed, as well as the rest of you, so I bid you all good luck."

"Me too," Uskaine agreed, "by the way, Esha told me yesterday that she was going to go with you, I tried to talk her out of it but there was nothing that could change her mind. After what happened, can you watch over her, Anglo, I'm afraid she is going to pull a Saxon and do something reckless and stupid."

N:  "If so, then I have had centuries of training to deal with those situations," Anglo joked then went serious, "but if she insisted, then so be it. Let's just hope that the two idiots have woken up by now."

The Englishman made his way to the infirmary, and sure enough Saxon was awake and sitting up; Chrysalis was the same but he was still on his back, staring at the ceiling, so Anglo asked if either of them were free to go. "We can only wait and see," the doctor admitted, "Sir Saxon seems fine enough but he still can feel the effects of his concussion, and as for Chrysalis," they paused, "we don't fully understand his state, so he needs to rest, but otherwise he is bandaged up."

The country nodded before turning his attention to Saxon, who was talking with BE, filling him in on everything that happened while he slept, so he walked over to him so he stood between Esha and the entity. "I would like the both of you to promise me," he began, "that you will not compromise this negotiation. My son is on the line here, and if either of you messes up, I will personally blame you if he gets hurt, is that understood?"

M:   "Don't worry, we're not that stupid," Esha grunted, "we plan on skinning Suebi after the negotiation is finished and England is safe."

"Esha, take it easy, you saw what vengeance did to Odrus," Neflen started but was instantly shut down.

"I don't give a rat's ass about what happened to Odrus," she spat, "that cunt needs to fucking die, for the sake of the whole damn world, and even if I can't get physical I know plenty of curses that will earn him a slow and agonizing death!"

With that said, Esha threw off her blankets and shakily stood from her bed, she was still a little weakened but she wasn't going to let that slow her down one bit.

"Now, as I said before, let's go get our lovable bastard back," she declared, determination filling her voice.

N:   Anglo sighed before turning to Saxon, who shrugged, "I completely agree with her."

The Englishman rubbed his face, "Fine, fine, deal with him as you wish, but now focus on the things at hand." He glanced over to Chrysalis and added, "And as soon as we are ready, we will take him with us."

The rest nodded and went their way, getting ready for the horse ride to the location, Scotland opted to stay behind so that he could take care of his sons, so after an hour they all were at the stables, all ready.

"So, this place is a three-hour journey from here, just a small village, and he asked to meet us in the middle of a field. Let's hope we arrive there on time and if needs be, the horses will gallop there," Royal informed, her sword sheathed at her side, "Anglo, keep an eye on Saxon, Esha, you're with Mr. Depressed here," he poked at Chrysalis, who only slightly swayed before standing still, "and I'll make sure that BE doesn't screw up." She looked around, "any questions?"

"Why am I going," Chrysalis muttered, just barely a whisper.

"Because the bastard killed your buddy Arthur, using him to demand for his 'master'."

"Oh," the insurgent mumbled, looking down at the ground, and he didn't know what to say, although a close observer could see that his demeanor worsened at the news. From all the humans he worked with, he tolerated Arthur being around him and found him to be a good person, so his death seemed out of the blue, but after a moment all he did was walk over to a horse provided to him and mounted it, not saying a word.

M:   Esha opted to use a normal horse rather than Sleipnir so he could be with Edel if the whelps came before they returned, though she was slightly bitter about it. Being used to large and muscular horses, she asked Mandoria if she could borrow Xanthos, as he was one of the only horses she was comfortable around.

"Yeah, because of you, Arthur is dead," she growled at Chrysalis when she led the royal Shire next to the insurgent's horse, "it seems that everyone around you does, huh? You better not fall off your horse, I may be watching you but I won't help you if you break your neck."

"Esha, be nice," Mandoria said, he was there to make sure his horse would be good to travel, "you're both hurting for different reasons, there's no need to make the other feel worse."

Esha just huffed and mounted her steed, Mandoria pat Xanthos farewell and walked over to the others, "You all be careful, who knows what Suebi is capable of, or if he's even planning on keeping his word, so please be careful."

N:  "Don't worry," Royal smiled, "we will, well, hopefully, we do if everyone listens," she peered past Mandoria and called out, "especially the person who is supposed to watch over the person who Suebi might need."

She turned back to the Mandorian and continued, "But honestly I'm worried that Anglo would be the one who lashes out," and before the said country could reply, she added, "Saxon, although he can do stupid stuff when he's angry, he doesn't seem to act the same way around Suebi, and Anglo is protective of England."

"I agree," BE nodded, "98 percent of the time, Grandpa is the one holding Grandfather back, but that 2 percent is what I'm worried about."

"If BE agrees with me, you know it's true," the hybrid said, giving a pointed look at Anglo and Saxon, "no messing around. Anyways, Mandoria, don't worry about us and we will be back before you know it." Ushering him away, the rest mounted their respective steeds, and soon they were on the road.

As Royal said, the journey was just over three hours long, and the sun was dangerously reaching the horizon, so they quickened their pace until they finally arrived, leaving their horses at a local stable before trekking to the final destination.

When they arrived at the field, they were struck by its beauty, dandelions speckled all over the place; however, right in the middle was a table and chairs, sticking out like a sore thumb. Seated there was Suebi, and beside him, they could make out England's figure.

"One step at a time, remember," Royal reiterated, seeing how Anglo's eyes lit up when he saw his son, "take every precaution necessary."

As they approached the entity, he turned around to face them, and a smile stretched across his face as he watched them draw closer. Because of where they were sitting, his and England's backs were facing the setting sun, so whoever sat in front of them could barely see them.

"Willkommen, willkommen," he chuckled, standing up from his seat, although England remained seated, "six of you here, to see me? If I had known, I would have prepared more chairs to accommodate you all. However, it would have been nice to see that Scot, being family and all."

His entity eyes drifted over to Anglo, then to Saxon, "Well, well. Isn't this a sight for sore eyes? It has been quite a while, hasn't it dear Anglo, more than one thousand years, hasn't it? It has been wonderful to watch Alemanni's spawn through the centuries, every high and low, and how you made my boy weaker than ever, to the point where even his own insurgent rebels against him. I believe you have had fun patching up my Sohn here," he glanced over to Esha, "as well as the clues I've left behind, ja?"

M:   Esha growled, almost sounding demonic, the only thing holding her back from ripping out Suebi's throat was the safety of England, as well as Royal's rather powerful grip on her shoulder.

She knew very well that the entity was going to do everything in his power to anger her and provoke her into attacking, so she did the sensible thing and stomped away to watch from a distance. She still transformed into her dragon so they wouldn't forget she was there, but she was far enough away to have some difficulty hearing what they were saying, but still able to watch for anything suspicious.

When BE called over to her to ask what she was doing, she shouted back, "Removing myself from the equation, if I'm too close to that motherfucker I'm going to eat him alive, so I'm staying right here where I can get a grip on myself!"

N:   "Clearly she does," Suebi snickered before indicating at the two seats before him, "so, who is going to take a seat?"

The five of them looked between them, and after a moment of hesitation, Royal stepped forward and sat down, crossing her arms and legs. Looking towards BE, she frowned, "Well, aren't you the negotiator?"

"Ahem, yes," he mumbled before taking the other seat, to which the entity smiled and sat down, leaning back on his chair's back two legs, his eyes flickering between the standing entities behind them.

"Let's cut to the chase," the empire spoke firmly, "hand England over to us, and we will give the person, note how I indicate a single person, you demanded when you killed Arthur."

"War das der Name des Toten? (Was that the dead man's name)," Suebi chuckled, shaking his head in amusement, "Well, it is good that he served his purpose." He leaned forward, causing both Anglo and Saxon to tense, until he was only a couple inches from the empire's face, "I do not abide by your rules, empire; however, I will respect the deal. After all, I am a man of my word." His eyes wandered up to Chrysalis, "him first then I will give the country."

"I said Father first-" BE lashed out, but Royal held him back, keeping her eyes on the entity.

"We will do just as you have requested," she answered, much to the other's shock, "is there anything else that you want?"

"Well now that you have mentioned it, it would be nice to talk to my Sohn-"

"And you will," she interrupted him, "if you answer a couple of questions."

Suebi's smiled momentarily wavered but it quickly came back, holding out his hand for a handshake, "I don't seem to know you, yet you look like a better country than BE over here. May I ask who you are?"

"Someone who is not related to you," the hybrid rolled her eyes before swatting his hand away, "I'm not playing your stupid game, alright? So, to be able to converse with Saxon, answer these questions. One, who was the one who notified you about England's location, and two, how did you bind Ora to this world?

The entity hummed as he leaned back again, contemplating the questions. "The person who told me of England's location was someone close to Chryssi," he spoke, "someone who is almost like family, and as for the second question, don't worry, she will soon be free."

The Brit raised a brow, "what do you mean by that? And did you do anything to-"

"One more question and the deal is off," he snapped, clearly annoyed by the number of questions. Royal sighed, looking at the rest, as if telling them that she did all that she could before indicating to Chrysalis to go to Suebi.

The insurgent just stared at her, glancing up at the entity before slowly making his way, to which the entity stood up to check on him, confused to see his grey eyes. "We will have that fixed in no time," he reassured him, patting his shoulder, "anyway, do you want to exact your revenge on England now?"

The rest of them were about to protest when the insurgent shook his head, "Not in the mood to take revenge."

"Suit yourself," Suebi shrugged before turning to England, who immediately avoided eye contact, "you can go back now." The Englishman tentatively stood up, and taking a couple of cautionary steps, he made sure that the entity was actually going to free him before rushing to his fathers, who immediately embraced him. Anglo broke down in tears of joy, and Saxon joined in, although the moment was soon ruined when Suebi asked about the deal Royal made.

"You have to do it here," the hybrid demanded, "and no sketchy business."

Suebi promptly ignored her as he stood, waiting for Saxon to reach him, and when he did, he reached and gently held his face, making the other freeze. "Despite everything," he smiled, "I am proud of you Saxon, for I had believed that you could reach your full potential, and you're slowly getting there. I heard what you did in your homeland, and honestly, I am quite amazed, and seeing you and how you treat your enemies, I could see that you are a wonderful Sohn."

With his other hand, he drew his dagger, getting everyone on their feet, although he reassured them that he wasn't going to kill him there, bringing the blade up to the other's face before doing a decent cut across his cheek, allowing Saxon's blood to ooze out. "No matter what, we are of the same blood, and this is a testament to show that you are."

He sheathed his dagger and stepped back, to which Saxon let out a sigh of relief. "Now I am going to go, and you are not to follow me," the entity spoke, and he glanced over to Esha, "and if she even tries, tell her that I will have 'Arthur's' body disappear, never to be seen by a soul, and that his grave will cease to exist. She has things to lose; I do not." With that, he turned away, followed by Chrysalis towards the village, and all that the five did was watch him walk away.

M:   As much as she tried not to, she did hear most of the conversation and pieced together some of her own conclusions. She unshifted and walked back to the others, the first thing she did was heal Saxon's cut so it didn't mentally hurt him anymore, and the next thing she did was give England a huge hug.

"I'm so sorry England," she muttered to him, "this was all my fault, I chased you away and you got captured, I'm so, so sorry."

N:   "Please, don't apologize," England spoke, returning the embrace, "I-I'm happy that I was away; I had time to think and I was in the wrong."

The Englishman let go and then turned his attention to Saxon, who held his face, surprised by how quickly his cut was healed, and he walked up to him and tightly hugged him, concerning the father. "Is everything alright," he asked, patting his son's back.

"I'm sorry, ok I'm sorry," the younger muttered, "please, forgive me for what I did, Faeder."

Now both Anglo and Saxon were concerned, wondering what England was talking about, so the former walked up to them. "What is it, fauntkin,? What did you do?"

England opened his mouth as if he was about to say something, but instead, he remained silent, closing his eyes for a moment before letting go. "Let's just go home," he mumbled, "I need to do something."
