Chapter 50

M:   Askad lowered himself from the ceiling and unshifted, brushing himself off and examining his war wound. It wasn't severe though it had a good stream of blood, so Odrus took it upon himself to heal his friend.

"You guys go on, I'll be there in a minute," he said, Askad raised a brow but said nothing, simply leaving with Royal and Neflen. Odrus looked back to Chrysalis, there was no emotion on his face, nothing that could tell the insurgent how he felt.

The eternal walked closer to Chrysalis and knelt next to him, he snapped his fingers and all of the bandages disappeared from his enemy.

"Hold still, this might sting a bit," he warned, his voice emotionless. He put two fingers on one of the Scot's larger wounds and closed his eyes, he muttered a spell and when he opened them his eyes were glowing gold. Very slowly he traced the wound, and as his fingers passed over it, a golden glow was left behind.

When he removed his fingers, the glow died down and the wound healed completely without a scar. Odrus hummed in satisfaction and moved on to the next one.

N:   Chrysalis freaked out a bit when Odrus began to heal him, not sure how to react after what he did to him and his entire colony, but he shrugged; he was getting magical treatment for free. As the Eternal worked, the insurgent grew increasingly skeptical about the other, thinking that it just might be a hoax and instead was cursing him, but whenever Odrus healed a part of him, it felt a hundred times better.

Once he was completely healed, he cautiously stood up and stretched, feeling immense relief, and when he was done he just faced the Eternal. He thought about attacking him, but a few reasons came to mind that suggested otherwise. Firstly, he's a prisoner; secondly, Odrus has magic; and last but not least, insurgents don't lack respect, and the man before him earned enough so that he didn't attack him.

"Why," Chrysalis questioned, rubbing his wrists from the previous shackles, "why did you heal me?"

M:   Odrus didn't respond at first, he took a cloth out of his pocket and wiped the blood off his hands. Then he looked around the cell and shook his head at the filth of it, so he summoned a bucket and mop and had them start cleaning the place up.

"That is a magnificent question, is it not," the eternal spoke, "why would I heal you, my people and I took you in when you were in danger, and you repaid us with a massacre and slavery. You deserve all the pain in the world, yet I just relieved you of it. So why did I do it?"

When the room was spotless he dismissed the mop and bucket, then he summoned a proper mattress with a fresh set of clothes and a warm blanket.

"I don't agree with my fellow eternals," he said, taking out a journal from his pocket and writing something down, "they all want you to die a slow and agonizing death, and they want to be the cause of it. You definitely deserve that, but I know that for every story there are two sides, just like a coin. We only know one side of the coin, it is corroded with blood and stained with suffering, what we don't know is what the other side of that coin looks like."

He finally looked up to the insurgent, "I can see things you know, the outside of my coin may look grey, but the hidden side looks blue, the color of spirits. What does your hidden side look like, dear Chrysalis?"

N:   The insurgent's smile wavered, he felt as if he was in unknown territory, and he froze there, unable to answer for a couple of seconds. "What am I supposed to say," Chrysalis scoffed, "Nothing is holding me back. I emerged, i.e. I wasn't born from pathetic countryhumans, giving me more room to do what I want. I am an insurgent, which is literally the best job I can have. Aye, I have to report back once in a while, but otherwise, I'm free."

He paced the room as he continued, "This has to be a trick. There is no way you will do all this without asking for something in return. I am literally happy with myself, everything is going well, and this is who I am." He spun around to face the Eternal, "I have no 'hidden side', I am who I act, blood and all, but if you're so insistent that I have this supposed second side," he walked up to Odrus, "if you can 'see things', then tell me. What is my other side?"

M:   Odrus stared at him for a long time, like his blind eyes are staring right into his soul.

"Your other side," he spoke calmly, "is also stained with blood, but it is corroded by grief and anguish. The blood is not of a stranger, but of a person you considered family, who was taken from you by the people who keep you prisoner."

He ripped the paper out of his journal and handed it to Chrysalis, it was the drawing of a countryhuman.

"She's been by your side since we first met you," he declared, "she'll disappear every once in a while but always comes back. I can see how she died too, killed in battle, wasn't she? I'm guessing you're hidden side is more about revenge than insurgency, am I wrong?"

N:   Chrysalis looked down at the drawing, seeing the white rose on the forehead of the countryhuman, as well as the fleur-de-lis on her eyes, and seeing those fierce yet kind eyes looking up at him made him smile. Lowering his head, he covered his face with the paper, trying to keep in his tears, but soon he collected himself and stared dead into Odrus' eyes.

"You've goddamn hit the jackpot," he spoke, his lips curled up into a twisted smile, "and I will follow through, even if I don't do it in person, the ENTIRE British family will pay for what they have done."

It's clear that a nerve was struck, and he crumpled up the corners of the paper in his hands. "And I'm not a book for you to read," the insurgent snapped, "don't fucking analyze me like some specimen, and DON'T act like some high and mighty know-it-all. This is MY LIFE and no FUCKING ETERNAL IS GOING TO LOOK INTO IT! You stand next to those Brits yet you see her," he clicked his tongue, "get the fuck out of my sight."

The insurgent tried to reach Odrus, but the chains around his feet stopped him, so he just shouted, "GET OUT!"

M:  Odrus didn't move when Chrysalis shouted at him, he didn't even blink when the insurgent lunged at him, he just stood there until he was done.

"I never said I was a know-it-all," he said calmly, "I may be the oldest of us but I'm not an elder, I'm just a simple tavern keeper who understands your loss."

Without taking his eyes off Chrysalis, he flipped through his book until it landed on another drawing. The drawing was of two eternals, a woman who had ram horns and a sun on her face, and a child with grey eyes and a bird on their flag.

"I won't bother you if that's what you wish," he said, putting the book away, "but I would be careful about pushing away the only person who doesn't want you dead."

He snapped his fingers one more time and a bottle of cyan-colored liquid appeared on the bed, as well as a tiny bell.

"Take a sip of the potion if you get lightheaded, that much healing can sometimes make one a bit woozy," he stated, "if you need something else, or just open ears that are willing to listen, ring the bell, only I will be able to hear it."

He turned and walked out of the cell, paying off the guard to let Chrysalis keep the things he gave him.

"You know, you and I are not so different," he added, "killing people in revenge for someone we loved," he took a coin out of his pocket and flipped it in the air, "it took me centuries before I realized revenge could not fill the hole in my heart, I truly hope that it doesn't take that long for you, because I'm afraid you might not have that much time left."

He flicked the coin into the cell and finally left, it rolled to Chrysalis's feet and landed on the side with Odrus's face, on the other side was also his face, but it was hidden by double axes, a shooting star in the center of it.

N:   Chrysalis picked up the coin, observing each side, and confused by the side with the crosses and the star, he was about to ask about it until he saw that Odrus was gone. The insurgent simply sighed as he sat on his bed, holding the coin in one hand with the drawing the Eternal gave him in the other.

Back in the library, Royal stood by the door, waiting for Odrus to arrive, and when he did, she grumbled, "What took you so long? Whatever, we waited for you so we can all hear it together," so she lead him in.

Anglo nodded at Royal, silently thanking her, before clearing his throat once Odrus was seated. "So, you may be wondering who Chrysalis was referring to in the dungeon, well, my best guess is that he is referring to Suebi. To the world, he was known as the former Head of Insurgents, and to us ... umm ... he is Saxon's father, adoptive but father nonetheless."

"Ohh," Royal muttered, "so that's where the axes are from."

"Yes," Anglo nodded, "he had double axes crossed over each other over his right eye. The main problem is that he has been dead for over a millennium, and if the insurgent is telling the truth, then we have a problem. We should ask him tomorrow about Suebi's plans, and what they entail because I have seen his work. Whatever you think Saxon has done, he has done ten times worse."

The Brit rubbed his face, already tired of the day as he added, "And whether it is true or not, I beg of you, don't mention Suebi around Saxon. He already struggles to sleep from what that man did to him growing up, and this would only make the nightmares worse."

M:   Neflen and Askad glanced at each other with concern, but for a different reason.

"Maybe it's just the lack of sleep talking, but Suebi sounds awfully familiar," Neflen said, "there was an eternal of the same name that used to live in the eastern settlement in Asia. None of us know much about him, only that he was banished a couple of million years ago from the settlement for practicing forbidden magic."

"It's probably just a coincidence, none of us know what his flag was," Askad added, "but he is infamous for being a dark magic user long before the fall of the empire. The only reason he was allowed to be in the settlement was because of our impending extinction and a blood pack he made with his chief to stop dark magic for good, though he obviously didn't follow through with it."

There was a long silence as the information sunk in, then Askad leaned forward, "If our Suebi and Saxon's are the same person ... may the gods have mercy on us all."

N:   "So," Royal muttered, "this Suebi/entity/dark magic user guy may possibly be a sociopath and could also be the reason why Ora is stuck here is running around somewhere on this planet," she sighed, "why can't we have a normal day?"

Anglo shrugged, "I don't know, but unless Chrysalis is willing to speak now, which I doubt he will after the stunt Saxon pulled, we can only wait until tomorrow for more answers."

M:   "What I don't understand is why Chrysalis would deflect from Saxon to Suebi," Neflen questioned, "what does his father have that he doesn't, and is Chrysalis the only one, or have other insurgents gone rouge?"

Askad noticed that Odrus was awfully quiet and turned to look at him, he was staring at the picture he showed Chrysalis of the two countryhumans, fiddling with one of the corners of the page.

"Odrus, you ok," the naga asked, "you seem a bit distracted."

Odrus looked up at them and shrugged, "It's nothing, just thinking about Ora, a god shouldn't be outside of the spirit realm for so long, it could kill them, but we don't know how long she's already been here."

N:   Royal glanced over to Odrus and saw the drawing of the countryhumans in his book, but she didn't say anything about it. "Let's assume that he learned how to summon her when he raided your cave," she suggested, "so whenever that was, that could be the earliest she could have been stuck here."

"But there is no evidence that he couldn't have figured it out before then," Anglo pointed out.

M:   The eternals all shrugged, not knowing what else to say, though it seemed they didn't need to anyway.

The pitter-patter of little paws came closer from outside and soon Sofia charged in, she ran away from Wales to find Anglo or Johann, though ended up finding something else first.

The tiny eternal was carrying England's lion plushy in her mouth, she had her hippogriff in her arms, and squeaked in joy when she found everyone.

"Sofia, what are you doing here," Askad asked, chuckling at his daughter's antics, "where did you find that little guy?"

N:   Anglo chuckled as he retrieved the plushy from Sofia, and although he was confused as to why it was in perfect condition since he doesn't remember asking for it to be repaired, he smiled, "Looks like your hippogriff found a new friend."

Soon after Wales ran into the library, out of breath from chasing Sofia, and he gasped, "Sofia ... Father's room ... took something."

"Did you actually struggle to catch up to a two-year-old," Royal chuckled.

"I spent half the time just trying to find her," the Welshman defended himself, "one second I see her, the next she's gone."

Meanwhile, Anglo was on his knees and holding the plushy in his hands, "This, Sofia, is my son's. He was a few years older than you when I gave this to him and he has kept it ever since." Handing the plush back to the child, he joked, "You're lucky you found it when he wasn't around, otherwise he would throw a tantrum."

M:   Sofia gurgled with joy and held out her plushy, shaking it up and down to signify that she wanted to play.

"I apologize for her, Wales," Askad chuckled, patting the tired country on his shoulder, "she has too much energy and loves exploring, it really is hard to keep track of her, more often than not I've considered getting her a bell to wear."

Sofia laughed at her father's joke, then she quickly snatched the lion out of Anglo's hands and ran off again.

"I think she wants to play keep away," Neflen suggested, "should we give her a head start?"

N:   "Let's give her ten seconds," Royal answered with a smile, and she counted down, tapping her foot to stay in time. Once the ten seconds were over, she chased after Sofia.

"She's two," Wales called out before sighing, "Forget it," and proceeded to follow after the hybrid.

"If England does actually see her with his plushy," Anglo spoke, "let's hope he acts like an adult and doesn't go after her. Hopefully."

M:   Unfortunately, that was exactly what Sofia had in mind, she was racing around to find England so they could play keep away.

After a minute or so of following England's scent and hiding from Royal, she ran up to the top of the Hundred Steps, nearly tripping over Edel's tail who was watching the working men with Sleipnir.

The child squealed down at the Brits and waved around the plush, teasing England into chasing her.

N:   All three of them looked up to see Sofia, and while Ireland squinted to see what was in her hand, England immediately recognized it and yelled, "Oi, why do you have that?" The Englishman dropped all his things and chased after her, obviously not going up the stairs since it was still under construction, so he went the long way and found another entrance into the castle to find her.

"What's in her hand," Ireland asked, turning to his brother, who only shook his head.

"Of course, you wouldn't know, since you didn't check on Father since the fall of Mandoria," BE answered, "that's his plushy." When he saw that the Irishman was about to speak, he held his hand up, "Don't ask. I don't get it either."

M:   Sofia squealed again as England drew near and bounded away, leading him on a wild goose chase around the courtyard. Edel and Sleipnir watched the two running around, at first the dragon wanted to intervene but decided that it was more fun to watch.

Sofia was surprisingly nimble for only having three legs, she was able to outpace and outmaneuver the adult without breaking a sweat, even running under his legs at one point.

N:   "Get over here," England growled as he tried to grab for Sofia, but in doing so he tripped and ended up face planting the hard ground. Still determined to get his plushy, he got back to his feet and continued to chase her.

Eventually, Royal found them and laughed at the Englishman, "Come on, old man, you don't want a child to steal your toy away from you."

"First of all, don't call me old man," England snapped, "and second, that's not just a toy."

"Suit yourself," the hybrid shrugged as she sat down on the stone wall of a nearby fountain, watching the goose chase.

M:   The others arrived moments later and started laughing at the scene too, Neflen ran off to grab everyone else while Askad and Odrus sat next to Royal to watch the show as well.

One by one, everyone in the castle, as well as a few servants who happened to pass by, were sitting on or near the fountain to watch England chasing Sofia. Snacks were being passed around and every once in a while the crowd would erupt in laughter when the Englishman tripped over his own two feet.

"Come on England, you got this," Rowen cheered, "you got to be two steps ahead of her, trying to tire her out isn't going to work."

N:   "Well, she is going to tire me out soon enough," England called back, as he continued to chase Sofia. Ireland and BE eventually arrived, since they believed it wasn't fair if their father didn't participate in the punishment with them, so they decided to make a short break just to see their father embarrass himself.

After a couple more minutes, England started to actually consider what Rowen said, so he suddenly stopped chasing Sofia, and when she turned to see him, he just sat down and lay on the ground, staring into the sky.

M:   When Sofia noticed England stopped chasing her she too stopped running around, she was panting fairly hard and looked like she was going to collapse any second. She thought England had given up so she hobbled toward him, then in a surprising turn of events, she curled up on his shoulder to rest.

Everyone was confused, but they guessed that the English country actually did succeed in tiring the child out, and so applauding England for his persistence. Sofia finally gave the adult his plushy back and snuggled his face, quickly falling asleep while purring in contentment.

"Well done England," Askad congratulated, "it only took you an hour and 53 minutes."

N:   "Thanks," England grumbled as he hugged both Sofia and his plushy, "I forgot the obvious rule with children: if you want them to stop, stop giving them attention. Now, I got a sleeping child on my shoulder and have gotten my plush back."

"Some great parental advice for you," Johann whispered to Wolfgang, who only gave him the side eye before looking back at England, "you get it? Because you will be a father, right? Why aren't you listening to me, Wolfe?" When the Saxon ignored him again, he realized, "Did I just play myself?"

"Ja," Wolfe smiled, "and it turned out that not giving attention to children works," to which the Mandorian subsequently whacked him upside the head.

M:   "Why didn't we know about this trick," Mandoria joked, "That would have saved us years of trouble." Rowen laughed at this husband's quip.

Askad slithered up to England and gently picked up Sofia, she awoke and protested at this but was too tired to resist.

"For what it's worth England, you definitely know how to put a kid to bed," Askad complimented, and he was genuine about it too, "I'd say that you're a pretty good father to little kids, you just need some help with adult kids, that's all."

Sofia reached out for England, whining that she wanted to be with him still, so Askad gently handed her back to England and she went back to sleep, "is there anyone who my daughter hasn't adopted yet," he chuckled.

N:   A bunch of people raised their hands; Ireland, BE, Royal, and even Johann forced Wolfgang's arm up too. "I have no intention to adopt your daughter," the Saxon clarified, forcing his arm back down, "and I don't know why Johann even did this."

"I saw your 'softer side' back in the tavern," Johann pointed out, "you're good with kids, like the girl Maisie back there."

"And that is why he's the absolute best," Erna smiled, giving Wolfgang a side hug while the said Saxon's face flushed red.

M:   Odrus snorted as he remembered that, Askad just shook his head in amusement. Edel padded over and sniffed the child in England's arms, then looked up at him questioningly.

"No Edel, England didn't have another child," Mandoria chuckled, walking up to the dragon and patting him, "that is Askad's daughter, I don't think England could handle another child for more than an hour." That earned more laughter.

Edel seemed to let out a breath of relief and licked England's face, making his hair stand on end before going back to sleep with his boyfriend.

N:   "Why thank you, Edel," England grumbled, unable to fix his hair since he had Sofia in his arms so he just didn't bother.

"If England were to have another child, I think I would have a panic attack," Anglo muttered, "after the stunt America pulled, I worry for the future of this family."

"Grandpa, I can hear you," BE called out; "besides, Canada is fine."

"That's because FE did most of the raising," Royal pointed out, "and you were the one who took care of America, so I think we can see the problem here."

The empire gave the hybrid the death stare, but all she did was chuckle before she added, "ok everyone, back to wherever you came from," she glanced over to Edel and Sleip, "Let's leave the lovebirds alone."

M:   "I wonder if there will be little whelps soon," Esha said, "they have gotten quite close to each other."

"Esha, Edel is a male," Rowen reminded her.

"How do you know, you're just basing his gender on the god he resembles," Esha pointed out, "it's next to impossible to determine a dragon's gender when it's not breeding, you literally have no evidence to say that he is a he. In fact, with the nesting and parental behavior he exhibits with England, I'd say he has a higher chance of being female."

The others were silent for a moment, then everyone turned to the two animals, trying to comprehend that Edel might have been a girl all these years.

N:   Johann just stared at the dragon, trying to see Edel as a girl but he just shook his head. "I mean," he spoke, "having parental behavior doesn't necessarily mean that Edel's a female; just look at Anglo. But wait," he rested his finger on his chin as he thought further, "but two male countryhumans can have kids, maybe it's not the same with dragons, and maybe the behavior does give a sign whether a dragon is male or female? It makes sense, we always say that Edel is England's mama hen. But if so, how can Edel and Sleip have kids; they are completely different species and it's not every day you see two different animals having children? But at the same time, this is magic we are talking about so-"

"Johann Kress," Wolfgang grumbled, "continue talking and I'll chop my ears off."

"Will you?"

"And enough of that," Erna interrupted, standing between the two men, "whether Edel is male or female, it doesn't matter, it's clear that the two are close."

M:   "Indeed, despite them being natural enemies, they have gotten close," Esha smiled.

"Do dragons lay eggs or give live birth," Rowen asked.

"Depends on the species, though typically the colder environment dragons have live babies," the draconic eternal explained, "dragon eggs need lots of heat to stay alive before they hatch, so dragons who live in colder climates, or themselves exhale cold breath, will give birth to live young since the eggs would not survive."

"That's incredible, Mandoria, did you know all of this," the human asked his spouse.

"Not this much," Mandoria admitted, "what else do you know, Esha?"

"As much as a draconic eternal should know," Esha chuckled, "I can teach you more if you want, you should come to Wales, it's about time you embraced your heritage."

N:   Wales smiled and nodded, eager to know more as he followed after Esha. Meanwhile, England just stared as his son walked away, cradling Sofia in his arms.

"You will eventually have to let the wee boy go," Scotland spoke as he walked towards the Englishman, "he's not five anymore."

"Says the person who gives Wales 'wee boy' as a nickname," the other rolled his eyes before sighing, "But I guess you're right."

"I know I am," the Scotsman smirked, getting a grumble from his husband, "and to add to my advice, you better find a place to rest Sofia, unless you have the strength to carry her the whole day." When the pair went to walk inside, he called back, "Have fun boys," to his sons.

"Now that's not fair," the empire frowned as he crossed his arms, "we are supposed to be together and now he has a break."

"For once I agree," Ireland nodded, then he spun around, "Oh well, this staircase won't repair itself," so the two of them returned to work.

M:   "He won't be long, you big babies," Askad called after them, "I wouldn't want to get in the way of your father-sons bonding time."

He led England to his and Uskaine's room, though on the way he asked, "I have a question, why is it that Ireland prefers to not associate with his family, what happened for you to become estranged from your own son?"

———

Esha led Wales, Rowen, and Mandoria to the library, where she thought was the most appropriate place for a lesson. She noticed that Sofia's plush along with Odrus's book were left on the table so she took them to return later.

"So Wales, what would you like to learn about first," she asked, "we could talk about your weapons, your unique senses, oh, have you reached the hoarding stage of maturity yet? There is just so much to teach you, I don't know where to start."

N:   Wales felt slightly overwhelmed, but the last thing Esha piqued his interest so he raised a finger, "I beg your pardon ... 'hoarding stage of maturity'? Could you start with that?"

———

Scotland decided to tag along with England and Askad, and when he heard the question his expression turned to one saying 'You got to be joking' before saying, "I'm not staying around for this," and walked off.

After he left, England didn't bother to look at the Eternal, "if he chooses to not associate with us, then that's his choice. I gave him anything he could ask for, but if he wants to stay on the stupid island, then so be it."

M:   Askad raised an eyebrow, "England, that's not a very fatherly thing to say, sounds to me more like you're pushing him away."

The naga stopped and faced the country, "You can't hide from this forever, you know very well that if this exercise isn't working then Esha will keep giving you and your sons things to do until it does. What's going on with you and your family?"

———

"Gladly," Esha smiled, "so I'm sure you've heard of the fairytales of dragons hoarding treasure and heroes trying to steal it, well it's very much based on fact. Dragons collect shiny and valuable objects to decorate their nests much like crows or magpies. It is common for whelps such as yourself to experience hoarding behavior at a young age."

"What is your definition of young age," Rowen asked, "you and the others keep calling Wales a baby."

"Well the maturity age of any dragon species is one to two thousand years of age, Wales is every bit a whelp as Sofia is, no offense Wales."

N:   "None taken," Wales grumbled, "so you're telling me that I would experience hoarding behavior until I reach one to two thousand years of age. My grandparents are that old and I still can't comprehend how. Now thinking about it," he paused for a moment before continuing, "that explains a lot."

The Welshman shook his head so he wouldn't think further and asked, "So what else do you know?"

———

"Have you not caught on," England scoffed, "we're the 'problematic family' of Europe, a group of countryhumans who argue and fight each other on a bunch of islands. He doesn't like what I do and he rebels, so as long as he doesn't bother listening to me he can go and be the prodigal son."

The country tried to step past the naga, but when he saw that he wasn't allowed to, he sighed, "If you're so insistent, maybe continue this interrogation after Sofia is back in your room."

M:   "It's not an interrogation, it's a father wanting to help another father out," Askad clarified, "no one should experience what your family is going through, your family should be who you trust the most and who you would lay down your life for."

He moved out of the way, "We will put Sofia to bed, and we don't have to continue this conversation, but please understand that we are doing all of this to help you, not punish you."

———

"No, hoarding is a lifelong behavior, I was just explaining that you will be considered a whelp until a couple of thousand years," Esha explained.

"I actually have a question," Mandoria announced, "when you came back from stasis, Edel was upset and sitting by the fireplace in the dining hall. England said that he was crying and a sprout appeared from the tears, why did that happen."

At this Esha's eyes widened, instead of answering she rushed out of the library, the others following. When they found her she was on the floor staring at the sprout, which had grown slightly bigger but not really.

"Incredible," she said, "I only heard tales of this, I never witnessed it with my own eyes. This right here is the start of a Phoenix Flower, the rarest plant in the world. It's said that when a dragon's tears fall to the ground, and is watered with powdered unicorn horn, a flower will bloom that is more beautiful than the northern lights, and within the petals a phoenix egg will rest, waiting for someone worthy enough to hatch it."

N:   Royal was in the dining hall, quietly eating as she watched the group rush in, and when she heard what Esha said, she hummed with interest. "If it is more beautiful than the northern lights," she spoke up, "then it must be beautiful indeed. However, where would you find powdered unicorn horn, it's not as if unicorns are as common as horses."

"Maybe they were killed off," Wales suggested.

"You got a point."

———

England hummed before walking away, only stopping for Askad to lead him to his room. When they arrived, the country rested the young girl down, resting her head on a pillow so that she was comfortable. He stood back for a moment before grabbing a blanket and gently covering her with it, and once he was done, he wordlessly left the room.

M:   Esha smiled mischievously, "Well what do you think the powder was that I put in the healing mixtures when we first met? We have a secret storage in the settlement with many body parts of magical creatures, both for potions and to see if we couldn't figure out how to use the DNA to bring the animals back."

She slowly stood up and sat back in her chair, "there is a specific time that we need to water it at, otherwise it won't bloom, I don't remember at the moment but I'll have a look around the settlement's archives to figure it out. For now, we just need to make sure it stays safe and no one accidentally steps on it."

N:   Wales nodded in agreement and turned to Royal, "Do you think you find a way to protect the sprout?"

The hybrid examined the plant and thought for a moment, "Yeah, I think I can get something arranged, just warn BE about his perfect floor most likely having holes bored into it." She continued eating for a bit before asking, "Esha, I was wondering, were there any Eternals back in your day who were like me? A Hybrid?"

M:   Esha shook her head, "No, I've never heard of or seen a hybrid like you, there are hybrids such as Sofia but none that had two personalities in one body. No offense to you but it is just very strange to me that someone could have what you have, it just sounds unnatural, I wonder what created it in the first place."
