Chapter 47
M: Esha was moved back to the infirmary hours ago since the others wanted to keep an eye on both her and Neflen, who was still strapped to his bed since no one trusted him to stay put at that point.
Askad was watching Sofia as she was wandering around the infirmary, trying to get used to walking on three legs. Johann and Rowen were there too because Rowen wanted to meet the child, though she was far too busy trying to play with his son.
"She really likes you, doesn't she," Rowen chuckled, "almost like she sees you as a big brother."
N: "Would be cool if she did," Johann smiled as he knelt on the ground and turned to Sofia, who was trying to get to him, "Come on Sofia, you can do it." When she would almost reach him, he would bop her on where she would have a nose and jump off to the side.
This continued for a bit until he let her reach him and he pretended to be defeated by her, lying down on the floor as he cried out, "Hezyka, help me, Sofia caught me."
M: The two fathers laughed as their children played together, "no, I don't think I will," Rowen chuckled smugly.
Sofia was trying to rip at the collar of Johann's shirt, her feline instincts telling her to go for the throat, though she was too young and small to do any real damage.
"Atta girl, Sofia," Askad cheered, "just like your daddy taught you, go for the neck."
Sofia purred at the congrats and bit down as hard as she could on Johann's shoulder, unfortunately, all she was doing was tickling the human.
N: Johann tried his best not to laugh, but his body squirming around made it clear that he was tickled, though he wanted Sofia to feel like she was doing a good job.
"Ahh- hahaha- ahhh, my shoulder," he cried out as he poorly tried to suppress his chuckles, "no Sofia, don't do this to meeeee!"
Eventually, he couldn't hold it any longer and he burst into laughter, and through his laughs he spoke, "That's it, Sofia, you're not getting away with that," so he sat up, making sure not to hurt the child, picked her up and placed her in his lap, and began to tickle her belly, although not too much since she was still healing.
"How's that, huh," the Mandorian chuckled, "you want to get the tickle treatment?"
M: Sofia immediately burst into laughter, her limbs flailing all around from the intense tickle torment. Rowen and Askad laughed again since the child's happiness was absolutely contagious, even Neflen was quietly chuckling.
"If I knew you were this good with little girls, Mandoria and I might have thought of getting you a sister," Rowen smiled, "though I can also see you having a family and playing with your daughter someday."
Sofia seemed to agree as she soon wriggled out of Johann's grasp and wrapped her arms around him in one large hug, causing Askad to nod in agreement and say, "You got that right, hopefully he doesn't want one too soon, I might have to keep a closer eye that you don't steal my child."
"I think it's too late for that," Neflen commented, "I think the child stole him."
N: "I think she did," Johann smiled, his arms pinned to his sides, so he wriggled his arms out and wrapped his arms around Sofia, "but now I got you."
After a while of hugging and trapping Sofia, he finally let her go and stood up. "It's getting late now," he spoke, "so how on earth do you still have this much energy?" He gasped in mock shock, "Maybe you're my kid. Askad, I'm stealing your daughter so Hezyka can finally become a grandfather," although he quickly stated that he was joking just in case the Eternal thought he was actually serious.
"She does take after you," a voice said from behind the Mandorian, and when he turned he saw Prometheus leaning against the door, "I hope I'm not crashing the party."
M: Everyone was speechless at first when Prometheus showed up, but when Sofia ran up to investigate the newcomer they all smiled in relief.
"It's good to see you awake and alright Prometheus," Rowen said with a smile, "we were starting to worry you weren't going to wake up."
"You might be too late though," Askad sighed sadly, "Esha's so far gone that we're not sure she can be saved, but at least you're ok."
There was a quiet sob from Neflen when that was said, "It's all my fault, I delayed you from awakening, it's all my fault."
N: "It's my fault that she got hurt in the first place," Prometheus spoke as he crouched down so that Sofia can check him better, "if I hadn't provoked Helios, the worse thing that could have happened was just her whiplash and I would have healed her on the day." He looked up to the Eternal, "And you didn't know what would have happened if you killed Josef, I don't think even he knows, so it wasn't your fault."
Once he had finished, he stood up and walked over to Esha, and he sighed at the sight of her skin, which was paler than ever, and when he checked her eyes, her sclerae were almost completely black. She was lying on her front, and seeing her back which was covered in bandages, he could defiantly sense the magic that bound her injury.
"I've been told that Caelestis came over and helped prolong Esha's life," the Celestial spoke as he changed to his Partial form, "and that he also told who I was as well." He quickly looked up to the others, "I only would ask if you do not spread this information to others; it can only make the process of leaving harder."
M: "We understand completely, though most everyone already knows," Askad said, picking up Sofia, "everyone came running when they heard what happened so everyone was here to see Cal help Esha. We know that you will need to leave after you heal Esha, and we will respect that, but know that you will be missed."
"Indeed, especially for those of us who will definitely never see you again," Rowen added, "but for what it's worth, it was an honor to meet you and become your friend."
N: Prometheus smiled a bit before turning his attention to Esha, tapping her forehead so that his symbol appeared. "Vivian isn't here to help me, but I hope I can ease your pain," he muttered to her, as he traced his finger along the bandages, forming a clean cut through them, exposing the mark Helios left on her.
With a deep breath, he began to remove the thread Cal put in, and he saw that the Eternal reacted to it, so he gently hushed her as he carefully took it out, although he couldn't help but smile. "Seems you still have it in you, Cal," he mumbled to himself as he moved on to the next step.
Although Cal was able to partially heal Esha, his magic would eventually have adverse effects on her since his magic was never tailored to beings on planet Earth, so wherever the dark threads touched, there was clear discoloration. Seeing this, Prometheus pulled out the crystal he was able to get from the healing chamber and rested its sharp edge on Esha's wound, and slowly he traced the wound, opening it up.
Now that he could see the problem clearly, he began to remove every infected cell from Cal's magic as well as Helios's solar flare, and as he removed a cell, he willed the Eternal's body to replace them as quickly as possible, so what was left was a healthy back with a nasty whiplash on it. Using the same crystal, he performed the same magic he did for Mandoria, turning the precious stone into magic blue threads, and he began to stitch up her, properly this time.
It didn't take long, compared to Mandoria, but it did take some time as it was close to her spine, and he had to focus on reducing her pain, but he was finished in thirty minutes.
"There," he sighed, returning to his human form as he removed his symbol from her forehead, "her wound sealed, and she's on track to recovery."
M: Everyone waited with bated breath, waiting for something to happen, anything. After sixty excruciating seconds, Esha let out her first deep breath in three days, a soft groan following after until she went still again, though her color already looked much better.
Everyone else let out the breaths they were holding, Rowen then went over to Neflen and unstrapped his restraints, allowing him to slide off his bed and hold Esha's hand, crying joyous tears that she was finally going to be ok.
N: Prometheus smiled softly as he saw the two together, happy that he was able to wake up on time to help Esha.
Johann also was happy that the Eternal was better, but there was something bugging him, so he walked over to the Celestial. "I know that you want to limit how much you help us," the Mandorian spoke, "but could you help Sofia? She has gone through so much and-"
"Yes," Prometheus interrupted him, catching the young man by surprise, "but you have to specify what you want me to heal. Just like with Edel, I helped him with the part he needed the most, so," he turned to Askad, "if you are fine with it, what part of Sofia do you want me to heal. You can suggest more than one, but it cannot be all."
M: Askad blinked at this, taken aback that Prometheus wanted to do more despite what happened with Helios.
"I ... thank you, I don't know what to say," he smiled gratefully, "the main injuries that I believe should be healed are her eye and her arm, I think she can get along fine without her tail and she's already adapted to walking on three legs. I still have her wing that Chrysalis severed so if you wish you can heal that too, but her eye and her arm, please."
Sofia, not understanding what everyone was talking about, wriggled out of Askad's arms and hobbled over to Prometheus again, purring and rubbing against his legs.
N: Prometheus nodded before looking down at Sofia and smiled. "I can do that for her. Bring her wing and I'll see if I can reattach it, besides," he lead the child slightly away from Esha so he could give her some space, "every winged creature treasures their wings, and I don't want her to feel left out."
The Celestial then decided to sit down on the floor, his legs crossed as he held out his hand to Sofia, waiting for her to hold his. "But I think it's best that the little one sleeps while I help her. A new eye and arm is not something that you could get on a regular basis," he looked up to her, "so sleep."
Right as he commanded her, Sofia fell asleep and collapsed, but Prometheus was there to catch her before she hit the floor, and he carried her to a nearby bed. "She will be fine," he reassured Askad, "I promise."
M: Askad silently nodded, though he couldn't hide his nervousness, he left the infirmary to get Sofia's wing, which he had kept in a box in his and Uskaine's room. He came back soon after and handed the box to Prometheus.
"It's going to be ok, honey," he said to his daughter, fully knowing that she couldn't hear him, "Prometheus is going to make you all better, you won't be in pain anymore, I swear."
He gently rubbed the child's one full ear and nodded for Prometheus to go ahead.
N: Prometheus nodded and opened the box, lifting out the wing as he assessed it. "I think it might just work," he spoke as he set the box aside, and when he flicked his finger the magical threads appeared around him. He began to meticulously reattach the wing, connecting the veins and the nerves, making sure that the muscles line up, but the fact that where the wing used to be on her back had partially healed made it slightly more complex, but he was able to attach the wing in half an hour.
He moved on to the next difficult thing: the arm. Since he wanted to make her arm as accurate as possible, he placed his hand on her head and began to search through her memories, pushing past the horror she had to experience and seeing a clear image of her arm, as well as the rest of the Eternals smiling around her. He softly smiled at the memory before turning his attention to her arm.
Holding on to what was left of her arm, he began to trace with his finger where her bones would go, going to the fine detail as the matter manifested itself, and after he added on the ligaments, the muscles, and everything that is needed in an arm. When it came to her skin, he stayed true to her memory and continued the light blue skin with the dark blue stripe all the way to her ring finger, the red stripes on her fingers soon added, and when he let go, it seemed like nothing had happened.
"Now the eye," he sighed as he searched her memories again for the color of her iris, and when he had found it, he set right to work. He knew the eye would take the longest, not that it was particularly hard to do, but the amount of patience and concentration needed to make it. With the millions of nerves needed to make the eye even functional, making sure the lens was the right thickness, he decided to change to his Celestial form just so that he had the energy needed to do this, and so it didn't take hours to finish.
He sat down and began to work on the eye from outside her body, forming the main parts of the eye easily enough, adding her pink iris. When it came to the nerves, he became completely still, only making the smallest of motions with his fingers. The Celestial sat as if in deep concentration for what seemed like an eternity until from the other side of the eyeball, small nerves seemed to have pierced through, so he finally moved and began to collect the nerves and collect them into one large nerve, and guided it to insert into Sofia's empty eye socket, along with the new eye. The moment it set, the color of her iris instantly discolored to match the stormy grey of her other shattered eye.
"Done," the Celestial finally spoke, changing back to his human form, "just ... ease her in when she wakes up." He looked outside and saw the moon, "it's getting late, you all should be getting some rest."
M: Askad nodded in understanding, though happy tears leaked out of his eyes as he stared at Sofia, now sleeping peacefully with most of her limbs back.
Rowen and Johann had long went to bed, and Neflen had passed out next to Esha's bed from exhaustion finally hitting him. Askad shifted Sofia so she would be comfortable and tucked her into bed.
"Thank you so much Prometheus," Askad said, "you've done so much for us despite everything, I don't think we could ever repay you, but I still thank you."
N: Prometheus shook his head, "You don't have to repay me. She had suffered enough as it is and I'm only doing my best to ease her pain, but if you had to repay me, I only ask that you take care of the nature around you, like you Eternals have always done."
"And I wish you luck when the humans begin to progress," a voice spoke from the door, and there stood Caelestis as he looked expectantly at Prometheus, "so ... my sword?"
"Took you long enough," Prometheus muttered as he walked over to the other, summoning the sword from a hole he made before holding it by the hilt. "Thank you," he spoke as he handed it over.
The moment it touched Cal's fingers, the blade lit up on fire, so the Celestial hummed in approval as he held the fiery sword. He stopped the flames and he willed it to be shrunk into a dagger before sliding it into a sheath attached to his belt.
"I didn't do it for you, Prometheus," Cal spoke firmly, "you stole from me, remember, and I'll never forgive you for it." Turning on his heels, he walked right out of the infirmary, but then he realized something. "Did you stab Helios with my sword," he asked. When he saw Prometheus nod, he laughed, "You brave idiot," before disappearing off into the night.
The Celestial turned back into the room, and seeing he forgot something, he quickly ran out. A couple of minutes later, he returned and in his hand was Sofia's plushie, good as new. "I'm sorry I didn't give this back earlier," he smiled weakly, "unexpected events got in the way."
M: Askad took the plushy, turning it over in his hand as he looked it over, amazed at the impeccable work, it looked like it was never damaged.
The naga was speechless, so he just threw his arms around Prometheus and hugged him, "Thank you, just thank you, you're the best friend an eternal could ask for."
N: Prometheus just stood there, not sure how to react to such a comment, and slowly he raised his hands and hugged him back. He doesn't remember, in his vast lifetime, someone who told him this, for usually, he would leave before they could or be selfish and ask for more.
"I- I don't know what to say," the tailor said, "I am happy that I may be a friend to you." He warmly accepted the Eternal's embrace for a couple more minutes before letting go. Allowing the father to go back to his daughter, the Celestial walked away, wishing them a good night before making his way to his room, starting to tie up loose ends before he leaves.
M: He wasn't the only one who wanted to tie up loose ends, about half an hour later, Neflen snuck out of the infirmary again and made his way to Prometheus's room, knocking on the door before entering.
"Hey, I just wanted to come up here and apologize for everything I've done," he said quietly, avoiding eye contact, "I was desperate and was lacking sleep, my mindset was compromised but it doesn't excuse my behavior, is there anything I can do to atone for my crimes?"
N: "You have already fulfilled the punishment I gave you," Prometheus replied, not looking up from where he was working, "yes, I was angry that you killed Josef, but at the end of the day I knew he will be fine. I was angered by what you said, for you had disrespected the dead, and Josef by definition is dead. By you saying what you said to a Saxon makes you take responsibility for what you said."
The Celestial stood up and walked up to the Eternal, and when he saw that he avoided eye contact, he raised the other's chin so they looked at each other. "Despite what you did," the tailor spoke, "I forgive you. I have learned there is no point in holding grudges, because, at the end of the day, it eats you from the inside. Although you disturbed me, that is all that you did, disturb me, so I forgive you."
Prometheus' face turned serious as he turned to reach something, "however, I do have a couple of questions?" After thirty long seconds, he pulled out a measuring tape, "Are you going to the Yule ball? If so, how do you want your outfit, since ... you know ... your arm?"
M: Neflen looked down at his arm, or lack thereof, "I'm not sure what you mean by that, though I do recall something I found while in the library once."
He snapped his fingers and a book fell into his hand, it was about ancient Greek culture and day-to-day life. He opened the book and flipped to a page that showed a traditional chiton with only one shoulder strap.
"I was quite fascinated by this choice of wear," he stated, "it reminded me of what politicians would wear during important meetings. I don't know if you could put a little British flare on it so I don't look terribly out of place."
N: Prometheus smirked as he observed the clothing, "Don't worry, I have something in mind that would allow you to fit in quite well. He quickly took measurements of the Eternal before scribbling down the numbers, and once he was finished he rested the tape over his shoulders. "So it seems I've got a busy night ahead of me," he sighed then he turned his attention to Neflen, "and you're going to sleep, and most importantly, don't punish yourself further. I'll see you tomorrow."
M: Neflen nodded in agreement, letting out a large yawn before bidding the tailor good night. He still felt horrible for what he said and did, and still felt that he didn't get what he deserves, he will respect Prometheus's orders and give himself a break. He quietly went back to bed and fell asleep immediately, finally having the piece of mind to do so.
N: The night was quiet and as soon it dawned, BE, Ireland, and England woke up and went to eat breakfast. They decided, since they wanted to be out of each other's faces as quickly as possible, they would start working as early as possible so that they could get through the task as quickly as possible. As they were about to enter the dining hall, a voice called out to them.
"Ireland," the voice asked, and when the said country turned around, he saw Anglo, confusion was written all over his face, "when did you arrive?"
The Irishman watched as his grandfather walked briskly towards them, and he noticed that he was breathing deeply, telling him that he just came from a long flight. "I was here for a while now," he answered, and he was going to continue but Anglo interrupted him by giving him a hug.
"Well, it's nice to see you after all these years," the winged country smiled, and he let go and frowned, "why do you all have collars?" He turned to BE, "And can you please explain to me why the local people have complained to their MPs of disturbances from here," and he then turned to England, "And since when did the door to Prometheus' room completely new, what happened to the old one? I thought about arriving much later today, but it's a good thing I came now."
"You have a lot of catching up to do, Fa," England sighed, opening the door to allow him in, "let's discuss over breakfast."
M: Unfortunately, before anyone could go into the dining room, there was a loud bang at a nearby window and a large bird was plastered against the glass.
The bird let out a groan-like screech and then slid down, only for an arm to reach up a second later and open the window. Mandoria painfully climb up and through the window and planted on the floor.
"Oh, hey guys," he said when he noticed the Brits, "I didn't know you were here, Anglo, welcome back."
"Mandoria, what are you doing," a voice said as another eagle perched on the windowsill, "come on, we're not done yet, you need to learn to control your eagle form."
"Can't it wait, Odrus," Mandoria whined, "if I hit another window I'm not going to have any brains left."
N: Anglo just stared at Mandoria in shock, and when England waved his hand in front of his father the Englishman didn't move. After a couple of seconds of silence, he finally exploded.
"Was geht 'n jetzt ab, Alter (what the hell is going on)," he blurted out, pointing at the Mandorian, "Wie hast du das gemacht? (how did you do that?)"
"Fa, English please?"
"Since when could Mandoria turn into an eagle? Since when did your wings get better? Why was there a report of a mini earthquake a couple of days ago?" Anglo ranted, "How is it that one of the soldiers tell me that Chrysalis was captured, was he the reason for that church explosion? How in the time I'm boring myself in London you all are in a completely different and crazy world? Why are you wearing collars? Why is it-"
"Fa, stop," England interrupted him as he held his father's shoulders, speaking in a soothing tone, "You're overstressing yourself. We will answer your questions, but first, sit down and eat. You must be tired from your flight here."
"Ok, ok," Anglo muttered quietly as he sat down, and his son sat next to him, making sure he calms down.
M: Mandoria stood up and dusted himself off while Odrus hopped down from the window and unshifted, staring at Anglo in confusion.
"Oh right, you and Neflen haven't met Anglo yet, have you," Mandoria realized when he saw the eternal's confusion, "Odrus this is Anglo; Saxon's husband and former leader of the Anglo-Saxon people."
"Pleasure to meet you, sir," Odrus smiled, holding out his hand, "my name is Odrus, no one's husband and former tavern keeper, not as impressive of titles as you, I'm afraid."
N: Once Anglo calmed down, he let out a sigh before he stood up and shook Odrus' hand. "It is nice to meet you too, Odrus," he spoke, "and trust me, my titles are not impressive. It is good to see you walking about and better from when I last saw you."
His face then turned serious as he glanced over to England, "spill."
The Englishman sighed before answering. "So, to answer your questions: Mandoria can turn into an eagle since he's an Eternal; his wings were healed by Prometheus; the earthquake may have happened because of a fight, which explains Prometheus' door. Chrysalis was captured, and yes he caused the explosion along with another insurgent. You are lucky that you were in London this whole time, and we are wearing collars as us three," pointing at his two sons and himself, "have to repair the Hundred Steps as a punishment issued by Esha."
"Esha woke up," Anglo spoke in surprise, "so that means that Scotland is alright now?" When his son nodded, he hummed, "I better go and thank her for making such a task for you three. You need it," which got a grumble from the other three of them.
"Wait," he said, "you said that Prometheus healed Mandoria. He's just a tailor so how is that possible?"
M: "It's a very, verrrrry long story," Mandoria sighed, "I'll explain on the way to the infirmary, because Esha got into another life or death situation."
Before Anglo could question anything else, Mandoria led him out of the dining room to the infirmary. He did his best to summarize everything that happened while his fellow winged country was gone, from catching Chrysalis, to Prometheus fighting with Helios and Esha paying the price, to Sofia's rescue, and everything in between.
When they arrived at the infirmary, Askad, Sofia, and Neflen were all still asleep, Esha was awake but still pretty weak, a nurse was helping her eat some porridge so she could regain energy.
"Hey there Anglo," she said when they came in, though her voice was rather hoarse, "I felt your wings when you came, it's nice to see you again, you sure have missed a lot."
N: "Yes, it seems like I have," Anglo replied, still in partial shock as his brain tried to process what Mandoria said, "and it's a lot to take in." He walked over to her and smiled, "But for now I just hope that you have a speedy recovery. Also, thank you for what you did to my son, he needs the father-son bonding time."
"You better now thank Celtica and Scotland too," Royal spoke as she walked in, and she smiled when she saw Anglo, "they were the ones who suggested where they were going to work." She gave the Englishman a small hug before asking, "How was London?"
"Boring, but informative," he replied, "lots of boring discussions, but Prussia's possible invasion and ways to defend the kingdom did come up, but we knew there wasn't much to do if the entire winged community, including us, are to back him."
He turned to Mandoria, "Also I sent some letters to different kingdoms regarding your sons, so far only Spanish Empire and Dutch Republic have replied as of yesterday evening, and both said that they had seen Mandara and Derogan, but they were not there."
M: "Sounds like they're living on the road," Mandoria sighed, "in this day of age it must be incredibly hard for two princes to find refuge with paranoid kingdoms, they didn't deserve it."
"Well, that was their best option," Esha commented, "the alternative would have been execution since they were threats to Prussia's new crown, so be thankful that they are wandering around."
Mandoria nodded in agreement, he was going to comment further when he felt something tug on his wings. He turned around and saw that Sofia was awake and was playing with his feathers, so he picked her up to get a better look at her.
"Look at you, you look so much better than when we found you," the country smiled, then turned to Anglo, "This is Sofia, apparently she survived her mutilation and Chrysalis had kept her as a trophy, along with several animals in the church that exploded. Royal was there so she's better to explain that."
N: Royal nodded, "yeah, they were all in cages, and when we found Sofia, she was missing a few limbs" She quickly observed the child before realizing, "And it seems that Prometheus must have regrown her eye and arm, as well as reattaching her wing. Anyway, the church exploded, but luckily Ora was able to help us out."
The hybrid went silent for a second before turning to Ora, "I completely forgot that we have a guardian of the afterlife under our roof."
Anglo also turned to see the she-wolf and sighed, "My day is just getting stranger by the minute." He turned back to Sofia and smiled, tickling her a little bit, "Aww, look at you, you're adorable."
M: Sofia giggled and squirmed a bit when she was tickled, waking up Askad with a snort, though he smiled when he saw Anglo with his daughter.
"Hello there Anglo," he greeted, slithering over, "Welcome back, things have been pretty crazy since you left, you're lucky you didn't have to deal with any of it."
Mandoria handed Sofia back to her father, she purred and snuggled into his arms, earning a smile from him.
"The things this poor child has gone through are unspeakable, I'm so glad it's all over now," he said, "though I am worried about bringing her outside of the infirmary, after what Chrysalis did to her she's terrified to death of Scotland, but I don't know how to dispel that fear."
N: "Why is she scared of Scotland," Anglo asked, and when Royal explained the similarity between the two Scotsmen, he hummed. "I see," he muttered, "I mean, I doubt she will not fear Chrysalis anytime soon, so we have to show that he and Scotland are not the same."
Royal's eyes lit up, an idea popped into her mind as she faced Esha. "Hey, remember back when you had a duel with Scotty, and that you said whoever lost has to do whatever the winner asks anddddd ... wear the craziest, most embarrassing outfit while saying that they were lying about their skill."
"I think Scotty is going to come after you now that you reminded her," Anglo chuckled.
"I don't care," Royal smiled, "but think about it, this is perfect. Make Scotty wear the most embarrassing outfit, and Sofia would realize that he is not Chyrsalis since he would never wear it."
M: Esha blinked when Royal said that, then put a hand to her chin as she thought about it, "hmm, that could actually work, though to be honest, I'm no longer in the mood to keep up that bet, so how about I relinquish it to you, Royal, I'm sure you'll have more fun with it than I would."
"Good heavens, now Scotty is really in trouble," Mandoria laughed, "may his reputation rest in peace."
N: "His reputation will never return," Royal smirked as she rushed out, "and Wren will help me too."
"Don't you dare," Anglo called back but he only chuckled, "this will be very interesting."
A couple of minutes later, Johann came in with Heinrich, since the latter was starting to regret leaving the infirmary too early, so the Mandorian helped the sore Saxon get into a bed before they greeted Anglo. Once he was sure that Heinz was taken care of, he came over to Mandoria and asked, "was that you earlier, the bird scared the hell out of Hezyka and I?"
M: Mandoria rubbed his neck awkwardly, "Yeah, that was me, Odrus was helping me learn to control my new form and I got blown off course."
Askad and Esha chuckled upon hearing this, remembering when they first learned to control their animal forms, then Esha asked, "Say Askad, what do you think Sofia's form is going to look like?"
"Probably a griffin with reptile accents," Askad shrugged, "she's going to be the most adorable griffin there is, scars and all, aren't you my little feather baby."
Sofia gurgled in agreement and leaped from his arms, running around a bit before tripping at Anglo's feet, though she just laughed it off and started playing with his feathers instead.
N: Anglo smiled as he watched her play before picking her up, plucked one of his feathers, and began to rub her face with it. "Now thinking about it," the Englishman smiled, "this little one reminds me of Johann. I remember one time that Saxon told me that when you first met Mandoria, you ran and hugged his wings." He looked up to the Mandorian, "Do you still do that?"
"What -pfft- no," Johann dismissed, "as you can see, I'm no longer a kid."
"I beg to differ," Heinrich chuckled, getting an eye roll from Johann, "besides, did you already forget that you were in an amazing family group hug, completely wrapped in Mandoria's wings? Remember, when Rowen tried on his outfit?"
"Don't remind me," the Mandorian grumbled.
M: Mandoria laughed as Heinrich recalled that moment, "Oh no, I thank you for reminding us of that, perhaps we should reenact that moment for everyone."
In a swift movement, he pulled his son in close and completely enveloped him with his wings, then proceeded to headlock him and give him a large noogie, causing everyone in the room to burst into laughter.
Neflen groaned as he was rudely awoken, he was a little under the weather for a mild infection from his wounds but he begrudgingly opened his eyes and grumbled, "Can't anyone get a decent sleep around here, shut up."
"Good morning to you too, grumpy guts," Esha chuckled, "for someone who got his ass handed to him because of me, you sure don't want to see me, do you."
She didn't get to say anything else because Neflen jumped out of bed and tackled Esha with a large hug, crying with pure joy and relief now that Esha was awake and well. Esha hugged back tightly and chuckled, "You are such a massive dumbass, why do you have to pick fights with other kids?"
N: Anglo just shook his head and smiled, cradling Sofia in his arms, and spoke, "Well, we can ignore that Neflen is a 'dumbass' and just let the man be happy."
M: Esha laughed mockingly, "Are you kidding, the man got punished by a literal god for waking him up, he is the dumbass of the century, aren't you, you emotional train-wreck."
