Chapter 39

N:   Standing in the fields stood two people, and the pair looked up to the sky, wondering what was going to happen in an hour's time.

"Do you think you're up to this," Vivian asked as she turned to her brother, who continued to look up, "knowing your present state."

"I have been able to change my form, if that's what you're asking," he replied, "but ... just not for long. Afterwards, it hurts and becomes super sensitive to light, that's why I want to do it underground, where I'm in control. Besides," he turned to her with a smirk, "this is not the hardest thing I've done. Are you ready?"

The woman smiled, "the moment the eclipse starts, I'll be way more than ready." She clenched her fist and colored vapor formed around it, swirling around as she directed it with her hand before letting it dissipate. "He'll need nitrous oxide, right?"

The tailor nodded, and together they headed back inside to check on the Mandorians.

M:   The Mandorians were in the dining room eating breakfast, it was just them and Esha since she was going to come to make sure things went smoothly and there were no straggler Jacobites.

"Are you sure you want to come with me," Mandoria asked his family, "Prometheus might not let you be in the same area, you can wait here."

"And not be there for you when it's all done, not a chance," Rowen retorted, "we've been together for each other from the beginning, and for the last three years all we had was each other, I not going to abandon you after everything we've been through."

N:   "I agree with Hezyka," Johann muttered as he quietly ate his breakfast. Last night he was catching up with Josef last night, but whenever he asked about Heinrich, Erna, and Wolfgang didn't say much, only that it had to do with Prussia. Worried for his friend, he wasn't his bubbly self, so he added, "But I might go and check on Heinz; see if he's alright. I'll make sure to see you ... but ... yeah."

M:  The parents exchanged glances and nodded in understanding, Rowen told Mandoria about what happened and he promised to keep quiet about it.

"We understand Johann, you're worried about your friends and that's fine, they need you more than I do, so you go be with them."

"Friendship is very important in Eternal culture," Esha commented, "we believe that wealth doesn't come from money, but from how many people will stand by your side during your darkest moments, it doesn't make it any easier to make friends, but it's all the more important to keep and maintain those connections."

"Wow, times really have changed," Rowen said, "now it's just survival of the fittest, power is much more important to countries than friends are."

Esha rolled her eyes, "go figure."

N:   Just as she finished, the doors opened, and in came Prometheus and Vivian, and knowing what happened the day before with Josef, the tailor quickly glanced at Esha before turning his attention to Mandoria. "Just a heads up, we have less than an hour until Vivian will be ready, so until then, make any necessary preparations to head over to the cave."

"Then I'll make my leave," Johann spoke as he got up, and bid everyone goodbye before heading off to Heinrich's room.

M:   Mandoria exhaled deeply, his wings vibrating from his nervousness but he tried to force a smile, "I'm pretty much ready, I don't think I need to do anything."

"You could at least wash your wings," Esha said bluntly, "you hardly groom them so might as well give Prometheus a clean slate."

Mandoria gazed at his wings for a second and shrugged, "Actually, that might not be a bad idea, I don't suppose there are any springs in the cave, are there?"

"There are a plethora of springs and water sources for different needs," Esha explained, "in fact, there is one in the healing chamber that has healing properties."She stood up and turned to Prometheus, "I can show you where the chamber is, it has special crystals in it that strengthen healing magic, it would be perfect for Mandoria's operation."

N:   "That would be more than perfect," Prometheus nodded and turned to everyone, "So if everything else is fine, let's head over to the cave, shall we?"

M:   Esha nodded and turned to the couple, they exchanged glances but stood and followed them, picking up Vivian along the way. Esha led them to the cave and through the tunnels, she thankfully couldn't sense any living things there so she knew it would be safe, she still kept a firm grip on her bow though.

She led everyone to the healing chamber and smiled at the amazed gasps behind her. Huge pink crystals jutted out of the stone walls like stalactites, some were rather small but others were almost twice the size of Mandoria, it was an astonishing sight.

"I'm so glad that the humans left this place untouched," she said, "these crystals grow nowhere else in the world and are very important for healing."

She walked over to a corner of the room where there was a small spring, just deep enough to go up to one's shoulders. "This is the spring, the crystals at the bottom of it infuse their energy into the water, allowing it to heal minor wounds and infections if drinked, and the longer you bathe in it the better the healing works."

M:   Vivian gazed in awe as she reached for the crystals, which glowed the closer she approached them. "Prometheus," she began, "why did you never show me thi-"

She stopped as she saw her brother, his hand already a dark ocean blue as he grabbed only one of the smaller crystals and snapped it off. It began to lose its glow when the tailor muttered some words, causing the crystal to glow brighter than before and in a bluish hue. All of a sudden the crystal began to unravel into a thin thread, floating upwards until it circled around him. Using his fingers, he imitated scissors and when he snipped with his fingers, the thread was split in two. "This would be perfect," he muttered as he waved off the thread, causing it to disappear.

"The reason why I didn't tell you, Vi," Prometheus answered, "was that it had to be protected. It used to be an enclosed cave until about 200 million years ago when Pangea split, all the other caves similar to this got crushed and only this one remained. When used right, everything in this room could heal anything imaginable, and that sort of power shouldn't be exposed to the entire universe." He turned to Mandoria and continued, "We will let you get ready. In the meantime, I'll find a suitable place for the operation," and with that he headed further into the chamber, leaving the rest near the spring.

M:   "There is a separate chamber that we used for major operations," Esha called after him, "it's the first opening to the left, you can't miss it, it has a large fallen crystal in the middle of it used as a table."

She then turned back to Mandoria and guided him to the edge of the pool, "Just sit here and let your wings soak for a few minutes, it will wash away the filth and the minerals will give you the nutrients you need."

Mandoria nodded and slowly let his wings enter the water, the crystals at the bottom glowed golden as they sensed his energy, and tiny bubble rings swirled around the feathers as they cleaned them. Mandoria shivered at the sensation but otherwise looked blissful, even his eyes temporarily returned to their crystal blue.

N:   Vivian smiled as she saw that Mandoria was happy, and she became curious about the water so she reached out to touch it.

When she submerged the tips of her fingers, they turned her skin yellowish-white, which surprised her. Wanting to see what happens, she submerged her entire hand, and it too changed color with brown cracks decorating her wrist. "Interesting," she muttered as she pulled her hand out, rinsing off the water, "this is one hell of a pool you got there."

They waited for a couple of minutes, letting Mandoria relax, when Vivian sharply breathed in, her irises momentarily disappearing before she stood upright. "The eclipse started," she called out to Prometheus, and she said to the people with her, "Let's start."

M:   Mandoria opened his eyes and gulped in nervousness, Rowen patted his shoulder comfortingly as Esha lifted the country's wings out of the pool to dry them. Once the water left his feathers his eyes returned to gray, Rowen was slightly disappointed at that but said nothing, simply giving his husband one last hug.

"I'll be right out here," he said, "it's all going to be ok, I'll see you on the other side."

Mandoria nodded, fear stealing away his voice for the moment. They soon parted ways and Esha led them to the room she mentioned earlier, then wished them luck and turned back to wait with Rowen.

Mandoria gulped again but softly prayed, "Great spirits, please give me strength to go through with this, and watch over me so I can make it out of this in one piece," he took a deep breath and looked to Vivian, "ok, I'm ready."

N:   Vivian nodded and the pair entered the room, where Prometheus stood by the crystal table. When he registered that they had arrived, he turned to face them, but his appearance had changed. Half of his head looked normal but the other half took the same tone of his hand, but his hair was also semi-floating, the ends of which faded into green. However, the thing that was drastically different was his iris, or the lack of it, leaving a completely white eye, with white streaks resembling tears coming out of it. Above his head circled a ring of stones, resembling a crown, and it spun faster when they came.

"I guess today is the day you learn of who, or what I am," Prometheus spoke, "of who we both are, but for this to go smoothly, I beg you to not be afraid."

He took a deep breath as he began, "I don't know what Esha told you, but let's begin with the fact that Vivian and I are not human but a species we call Celestials." He looked down at his arm and continued, "The concept for our existence is simple really, the same way that countryhumans are the embodiment of countries, Celestials are embodiments of celestial bodies: planets, stars, et cetera."

After a moment of hesitation, he looked up to the Mandorian, "To the people on this planet, I go as Prometheus, but among the Celestials, I go by as Earth," he pointed to Vivian, "and Vi here is Venus, and she is able to help us as her planet is currently eclipsing the Sun, giving her the power to assist us."

Vivian nodded, and to further prove Prometheus' point, she changed half her body like the tailor to her Celestial form, her skin turning now into a sandy color, a large brown crack covering her cheek as her iris disappeared.

"I understand that this is a lot to take in," Prometheus spoke, "especially before your operation, but I want you to know that I know what I'm doing and I'm the same Prometheus you've talked to for the last couple of days," he sighed, "if you need any reassurance, let me know."

M:   Mandoria was speechless, he didn't know what to say or how to feel, he was experiencing things he could have never imagined before.  "I don't know what I need right now," the country admitted, "there is so much going on that my brain is having a hard time processing it all."

Mandoria did his best to calm himself, spending a few moments to breathe deeply and clear his mind. Without a word, he took off his shirt so the two could access the damaged part of his wings, though he self-consciously covered his chest with his arms so they couldn't see the brand mark. He made another quiet prayer for strength and lay down on the crystal, spreading his wings and hiding his face in his arms.

"Is it going to hurt much," he asked, not lifting his head so it was muffled.

N:   "With Vi's help, not at all," Prometheus spoke as he examined Mandoria's wings, "she will let you breathe in some gas which will numb all the pain you might experience, but it does mean that you'll go to sleep."

The Celestial snapped off a nearby crystal, and just like before it unraveled into an ultra-thin blue thread, and he formed a sewing needle at the end of it. He formed a couple more until he felt he had enough and let them float behind him.

"Since you will be asleep," Vivian said, "is there anything in particular you want to dream about? I think Prissy could make it happen, besides, you don't want to be having a nightmare."

M:   Mandoria lifted his head as he thought about it, "probably just some happy memories, of better times before King Prussia came. It was only three years ago but it feels like a lifetime, I hardly remember any of it."

A single tear fell down his cheek as he remembered the few things he could, especially of two little boys that he missed dearly. He sighed and closed his eyes, muttering one last thing, "I miss my sons."

N:   "Then you will dream of the days you were with your sons," Prometheus said as he tapped his index and middle fingers on the country's forehead, allowing his symbol to appear. Once everything was ready, he nodded, to Vivian to start.

The woman took in a deep breath, and her form changed to her full Celestial form, her hair floating above her like a flame as her clothing changed, now a black dress with white edges, and specks of white covered it like stars. She stretched out her hand and vapors formed around it, slowly making their way to Mandoria and surrounding his head. Quickly, the anesthetic effects of the gas took hold and the country fell asleep.

"Add some sevoflurane to it," Prometheus ordered, changing his form so his entire body was dark blue, covered in green patches as his clothing changed too. "Let's begin."

He hovered his hand above Mandoria's left wing, right where it met his back, and slowly lifted it up, pulling the Mandorian's wing off him until he had only one wing. The Celestial could finally see what Prussia tried to do, black magical threads messily connecting the wing to his back.

"He did it worse than I thought," he muttered to himself as he began to cut through the threads, weary that he was close to Mandoria's essential organs, "he didn't even try to connect the veins, and the nerves are a mess."

When he had finally gotten through the black threads and removed them, he tried to relax as he began the most important part: reattaching the wing. Motioning his hand, he summoned one of his threads and commanded it to pass through a vein on the country's wing and to connect to its corresponding end, and when he did, the thread brightened as it anchored itself. The Celestial continued to do this, meticulously connecting every vein, every nerve, every muscle and ligament that connected limb to the back, taking just over an hour for the one wing.

When he was done with the left wing, he slowly lowered it into place, the veins and nerves manifesting themselves as the ends got closer until the wing finally was in place, what was left was a faint scar of where it was first removed. "Now onto the second wing," Earth sighed, his body ached to be in his Celestial form but he pushed himself to carry on, moving to the other side to check on Mandoria before continuing.

Another hour and a half passed since he had a harder time concentrating, but when he was sure that everything was connected, he lowered the right wing into place. Seeing that the wings were still malnourished, he summoned water from the pool in the other chamber, allowing it to form a ball in his hand, and added some crushed crystals into it. With it, he soaked Mandoria's wings, allowing them to heal properly from the years of neglect.

As he worked, he ordered Venus to remove the gas, "he might feel some pain, but my symbol will do its best to suppress it," he said. The pair of them changed back to their human forms and he asked Vivian to call the others, telling them that they are done.

M:   Rowen and Esha were still waiting in the first room, though Johann joined them about an hour ago. Rowen had fallen asleep on his son's shoulder and Esha was soaking in the pool in her dragon form, as it didn't only heal but was also heated to a comfortable temperature and was perfect for relaxation.

When Vivian came out to say they were done, Esha smiled excitedly and got out of the pool as Johann woke up Rowen. The three cautiously followed Viv and were relieved to see Mandoria awake and sitting up, putting on his shirt when they came.

"How are you feeling Mandoria," Rowen asked, trying to hide his happy tears, "does it hurt at all?"

"Just a bit," Mandoria smiled, his voice sounding much more lively and no longer monotonous, "on the contrary, I feel incredible, not just my wings, I feel like a new man."

Rowen couldn't hold his tears back now, he hugged Mandoria and sobbed the happiest tears he ever had, his husband let a few leak out as well.

Esha smiled at the amount of happiness in front of her, "Prometheus, I take back everything bad I ever said about you, once again you have proven me wrong."

N:   "Don't mention it," Prometheus smiled as he gazed at the happy husbands.

Johann was relieved that Mandoria was better when something clicked in his mind. He shuffled closer to the tailor and asked, "So, what's your secret?"

Prometheus laughed when he heard the Mandorian's question, "You better ask your father about that." He turned to Vivian, who was busy messing around with her strengthened powers, "So I'm guessing I'll keep my side of the deal."

"Yup," she replied as she summoned a large sword, its blade of which seemed to be made of obsidian, and handed it over to the other. "Make sure you hand this back, make sure you get at least 12 hours of sleep, and give me the location of an island I can mess up."

The tailor sighed as he tapped his foot on the ground, opening a hole in which he dropped the sword, and when it did the hole disappeared. "I don't even know how you were able to get the sword in the first place," he commented, "fine, the coordinates to an island are approximately 49 degrees north and 154 degrees east."

Vivian smiled and she waved to everyone before disappearing into thin air.

M:   "Should we be concerned about that," Rowen asked.

"Let her have her fun," Mandoria smiled, "she didn't want to do this at first, she deserves it."

"Prometheus also deserves some fun, I can only imagine how hard that was for you," Esha added, "tell you what, after we go home and see what Scotty and Celtica have done with the troublemakers. Let me take you to do something you want to do, as a way of apologizing for being a bully, what do you say?"

N:   Prometheus thought about it, he hasn't done something "fun" for a long time, and although he was enticed by the offer, he thought otherwise. "I really shouldn't," he finally said, "Me and fun don't really mix."

"Aww, come on," Johann replied, lightly hugging him with his elbow, "what's wrong with a little fun? You helped my Father, so this is what you deserve."

The tailor groaned, "Fine, I guess relaxing a bit won't do any harm, but a fair warning, when I sleep tonight, the weather might be a bit ... funky."

The Mandorian shrugged as he pushed Prometheus out of the chamber and towards the mouth of the cave.

M:   Esha laughed and followed after them, "Hang in there, kid, he's probably going to catch on fire if he goes out in the sun after something like this, let me put a sunblock spell on him before you accidentally turn him into barbecue."

Rowen and Mandoria laughed as the three went ahead of them, they followed after and took the time to cuddle.

N:   Prometheus allowed Johann to lead him to the mouth of the cave, but the moment he saw where the light hit the ground, he halted to a stop. Johann saw this and asked what was wrong.

"It will take 8 minutes before he realizes," the tailor muttered to himself.

"Before who realizes?"

"Never mind," Prometheus replied, putting on a smile, "let me ask you, dear Johann, how fast are you when it comes to running?"

The Mandorian smirked, seeing this as a challenge, "Pretty fast, so, where are we going?"

"Last person to the dining hall is a rotten egg," Prometheus announced and he sprinted forward with Johann right behind. "Let's hope I get there in eight minutes," was all he thought as he ran into the sunlight.

M:   Esha turned the corner when she heard him say that, she cursed slightly under her breath because she needed to actually touch Prometheus to cast the spell. She knew that Mandoria and Rowen were going to be relatively slow and didn't want to leave them behind, so she turned into her larger dragon and offered to carry them back.

Once the two were settled, she jumped into the air and flew after Prometheus and Johann. When she caught up she slowed down just enough so her shadow was shielding the man from the harsh rays.

"Why do you two have to make things so complicated," she jokingly called down to them, "Johann, are you trying to set Prometheus ablaze?"

N:   "We're just having a race," Johann called back at her, although he was annoyed that he wasn't winning. The Mandorian prides himself on his speed, both on horseback and on foot, but Prometheus seemed to always be ahead of him.

When they had finally reached the compound, Prometheus immediately went into the shade while Johann was just outside, trying to catch his breath. The tailor wearily looked into the sky, wondering how long it will take until he got caught.

"When I mean I get a harsh sunburn," he explained to Esha, "it only happens when someone, in particular, is unhappy about what I did. It takes light eight minutes to travel from the Sun to the Earth, so I needed to make sure -ARGH," he yelled as he cried out in pain.

A burn mark began to form on his hand, the symbol of a circle with a dot in the middle appeared again. Slowly, the burn mark traveled up his arm, all the way to his neck and stopping at his temple, so it resembled a scar but as a third-degree burn. Outside, in the exact path Prometheus took, the land was completely scorched, all the way up to the entrance.

Prometheus stayed doubled over, waiting for the pain to subside, and when it did he groaned as he saw his injured arm. "I help someone once and you're angry," he muttered as he slowly healed himself, although it did leave a nasty scar.

The tailor sighed as he spoke to the group, "You know what, I want a break. Lead me to the nearest place to have fun, but just," he pointed outside, "not there."

M:   Esha looked up at the sun with confusion, "Why would Lord Thegdum be angry at you for healing someone, that seems like a petty thing to be punished for."

"How do you know about the Mandorian religion," Rowen asked as he and Mandoria slid off her back, "you two have never even met before."

"Mandorian religion," Esha repeated questioningly, "Strecinity has existed for millions of years, long before even I was born. I don't know how you came to know about it, but you didn't invent it, I for one am a devoted follower of Zuris, the Grand Hunter, I always pray to him for a successful hunt and sacrifice part of my kills to him."

Esha then shrunk down to her normal form and shook out her wings, "Let this be a conversation for another time though, I want to see what Scotty and Celtica are up to with the children."

N:   Everyone else agreed and so they headed further inside, in search of the British countries, which they eventually did in the dining hall. Inside were the countries as well as the Saxons, where the latter were having lunch.

Josef was sitting with them, but he was physically annoyed, and when he turned they could see a faint scar, similar to Prometheus', along his face. The tailor sighed as he went over to him and tapped on the scar, healing it until it seemed it was never there.

Meanwhile, England was giving Royal orders, and the latter was clearly bored from the lecture while the rest just stood and watched.

"- and you have to make sure that there are no skirmishes near the Trent, those Midlanders always are up to something."

"And you know I've helped BE with his work before right," the hybrid growled, "so to take over your workload would be easy enough."

"I just want you to know what you're doing-"

"She knows what she's doing, Father," BE interrupted, "and she's more than capable. As long as Wren doesn't mess around, you can relax." When he saw the group enter, he gave a sigh of relief, "Finally you're here. You said that the punishment would start today, so what is it?"

"And what my son should have said," Scotland spoke, giving BE a pointed look, "is that we heard that Mandoria's operation was today. I hope it went smoothly."

M:   "We have yet to test it out," Rowen said, "are you up for it Mandoria?"

"My wings still hurt a little but a simple stretch shouldn't do any harm," the country shrugged.

He opened his wings out halfway and was happy with what he saw. The feathers beforehand looked quite dull and messy, and they were coarse to the touch, but now they looked much more bright and full, they even looked a little longer but not very much. When he spread his wings to their full wingspan it was incredible how much bigger they looked now that his feathers were healthy, they weren't back to their former glory just yet, but they were very close, probably just a few more months away.

Esha was taken aback, never had she seen wings that radiated such power, truly the wings deserving of King Wing status. She instinctively knelt on one knee and bowed her head, even when Mandoria protested she continued.

"I have never in my life seen such powerful wings," she explained, "as a winged Eternal I will bow to the wings that hold the title of king, although you lost your crown, your wings still hold the title, so no matter how much you object it is in my blood to bow to you."

Mandoria was blushing in embarrassment, he looked to the other eternals for help but they shook their heads, they didn't have wings so they couldn't intervene, so he turned to the British, especially, Wales and Royal, for assistance.

N:   Wales also lowered his wings, "Even if Prussia holds the title of King Wing, you are the true king, one that he could never be."

Royal, on the other hand, wasn't sure how to react. Anglo had taught her proper wing etiquette, and how to act in front of the King Wing, but she had never done it in practice, so when Mandoria spread his wings, she instinctively pulled hers closer to her body.

"I don't understand how the whole 'King Wing' works," the hybrid spoke, "but as someone who has seen many kings, you begin to realize that although some may have the title of 'King', the people do not see them as one, therefore they don't treat them as one either. But with you, Mandoria, it is clear that you are king, no matter what some ancient laws say, as you are respected as such, so I agree with both Esha and Wales."

M:  "Please guys, I'm not a king anymore," Mandoria protested, "please stop calling me one, please."

"Honey, there's nothing wrong with being called a king," Rowen reassured him, "why does it bother you so much, I don't understand."

"Because the more people that see me as a king, the more of a threat I am to King Prussia," the country explained, "I may not be king anymore, but I am a rival to his rule, I knew that healing my wings would be dangerous as Prussia tried to make sure they were too weak to threaten him, but now that they aren't he could challenge me to a duel. If I lost last time then what's to say I won't next time, I don't want to go through with that again, especially since I have less to fight for, it's just not worth it."

N:   "But that's assuming that he will know," Royal pointed out, standing up from her seat, "think about it, we just keep it a secret that you healed, and he doesn't know what someone like Prometheus was able to to help you, so right now he's under the pretense that you're slowly dying."

Wales shook his head, "but that can't last forever, eventually he will know."

"And that is the reason why my brother made the frequency cannon," the hybrid said firmly, "and there is no doubt, if he were to see Mandoria, he would challenge him." She then turned to Mandoria, "And as for what you'll be fighting for, you will be fighting for your husband, for your son, and for your sons that you will see. Last, but not least, you will fight for the survival of Great Britain, and by extension the British Empire, because there are exactly two outcomes that will result from the duel: this kingdom will be safe as you will lead the winged army back, or risk families and homes being destroyed and the eventual recapture of your family."

When she had finished, she sighed as she spoke in a more relaxed tone, "it is a lot, but the choice is yours."

M:   Mandoria's gaze started turning fearful as he thought about his battle with Prussia, the PTSD from that moment had haunted him every day since then.

Rowen saw his husband's discomfort and hugged him tightly, "It's ok Mandoria, you don't have to decide now, why don't we go to the library and take a break, ok."

Mandoria nodded and the two took their leave. Esha felt bad that she freaked out Mandoria but didn't address it, instead, she turned to Scotland and Celtica and clapped her hands.

"So, what shall the children's punishment be," she smiled, "I do believe that some sort of building exercise would be best, but what are your thoughts?"

N:    Scotland turned to Celtica, and the pair of them smiled, already making BE, England, and Ireland worried.

"There is a staircase to the North side of the Lower Ward, right on the other side from here," Scotland explained, "it has been neglected for a while and has become rundown, but we wanted to restore it to allow accessibility, which is safer, to the servants who live in the nearby town."

BE's eyes widened in fear, knowing which staircase they were talking about, and Celtica only confirmed it. "It's called 'The Hundred Steps' because, as you can tell, it has one hundred steps, made out of stone," she looked to the countries who were going to be punished, "and these three are going to help repair it."

M:   The Eternals all stared in shock, they haven't seen the stairwell yet, but they could only imagine how tall it was.

"Oh you sly dogs," Esha chuckled, "that is perfect, there is no way they can repair it without teamwork. Where is it exactly, I kind of want to see what they are getting into."

N:   Scotland did a mock bow as he pointed toward the door, "Ladies and gentlemen, let me take you right to the site.

BE, Ireland, and England only grumbled as they walked out, with the latter whispering to the Scotsman, "I hate you."

"I hate you too," he replied with a smirk as he and Celtica led the group down past the central keep to the area where the servants stayed while they worked. There was a narrow corridor that exited from the courtyard, and as they walked, the corridor opened up into a small open area looking out to the plains and a small town.

Johann took some cautionary steps towards the edge, and he gasped as he saw the staircase. The castle was built on top of a hill, so although the stairs were not incredibly steep, it was pretty tall as it slowly made its way down to the bottom. The Mandorian couldn't go any closer as there was a corroded gate stopping him, but he was thankful as he could see stairs eroded away until there was nothing at all, some teetering off the edge, entire sections missing, and a single goat standing in the middle, its eyes staring at the Mandorian.

"That is some weird goat," was all he could say as the said animal hopped down the broken stairs all the way to the bottom.

M:   Esha hopped over the gate and took flight to get a better look, she couldn't decide whether or not to be concerned for the Brit's safety, or to applaud Celtica and Scotland for picking such a task.

"I think we might have to lengthen the work to more than three weeks," she chuckled nervously as she landed back with the others, "without magic I don't know if this will be possible for only three people, with that said however, I think that by the time you three are done, you will be much more cooperative and understanding of each other. Do you have anything you wish to declare before you get started?"

N:   "More than three weeks," was all BE said as he complained, "No, I agreed to three weeks and that's it. I have my own work to do."

"Don't worry, Albion," Scotland replied as he ruffled his son's hair, getting a groan of annoyance, "Wales and I will take care of it."

"I don't even know why I'm still here," Ireland grumbled as he crossed his arms, "can't stand you Brits."

BE faced him, "What's the problem, Ire, you don't have the strength to see this face for three weeks?"

"I think your face was the reason the stones broke," the Irishman insulted, "your ugly face crumbled them." Immediately, their collars shocked them both, so they soon fell silent.

England pushed the two brothers apart and stood in between them, "No we have nothing to which for, only for this to end soon."

M:   Esha burst out laughing at the "you're face" joke, she had to admit that it was clever. When she regained her composure she smiled and said, "I'm sure that someday you will look back on this and thank us, anyway, it looks like you already have everything you need here," she nodded to the pile of supplies nearby that the servants gathered, "I say that you should work for three hours straight and then have a one hour break in between. I think it's pretty straightforward from there, so good luck, I got to go find Prometheus and teach him what fun is, see you around."
