Chapter 31

M:   Askad was at the fountain, he had left a few hours ago but came back to feed Sleipnir, he frowned at Prometheus' arrival but did his best to ignore him, tossing the rabbit he had in his hand to the Segvin's open maw.

When the food bucket was empty except for a lone apple, Askad pat Sleip's shoulder and slithered back to the fountain. Sitting on the rim, he lay on his back and spread out his tail to sunbathe, quietly munching the apple while staring up at the sky, imagining a time when it used to be filled with magical creatures and Eternals alike.

N:   Wales just looked at the both of them, seeing them sunbathe, and sighed, "I'll just go and check on Edel then," and he walked away.

After a while of silence, without opening his eyes, Prometheus asked, "I know you don't trust me, and I understand, but I do not intend any harm."

M:   Askad jumped when he was spoken to, nearly falling into the water, but when his mind relaxed he simply grumbled at Prometheus.

"You don't understand," he spat, "none of you do, you can claim you do but the concept of understanding is beyond your selfish, paranoid brains. If you understood, if any human understood, the empire wouldn't have fallen, billions wouldn't have been slaughtered, and countless species wouldn't have disappeared from the earth forever."

Not wanting to be in the same vicinity as Prometheus, or any human at the moment, he slid off the fountain and headed further into the garden, though not before shooting the human one more death stare and saying, "You disgust me most of all, daring to use magic to "help" others. Your kind destroyed us because of magic, and your using it is nothing more than salt in the wounds, a mockery of our culture. One day you will get what you deserve, and I will be there to watch it."

N:   "I wonder," Prometheus thought out loud, "if the world would have been a better place if none of the humans or eternals or countryhumans existed, hmm? A world where it is peaceful and animals can coexist with one another, and not another species coming over and taking another species' habitat."

The tailor opened his eyes and looked Askad in the eye, "You see, I understand full well, but I don't think you do. No empire lasts forever, and if it wasn't for humans then eventually something else would stop your species, whether it be from natural or other means. Humanity is on the same course, so don't worry, you will surely see the end of humankind with the advancements and technology being created."

He smirked a little, "You are all the same, eternals and humans, all driven by the negativity inside you, thinking one is superior over the other when in the end your efforts are just a flicker in the existence of the universe." When he finished, he closed his eyes again and tilted his head back, going back to his sunbathing.

M:   Askad stopped in his track, did he mishear, Prometheus said humans and eternals are all the same, he said it like he wasn't human himself. He turned back to the man on the bench but with confusion in his eyes this time. After a moment of staring, Askad slowly turned and went on his way, confused about what he meant, and concerned about who he really was.

-----

Rowen eventually bumped into Celtica and BE near his workshop, Mandoria was searching there and the three met up to discuss where Edel could be.

"I found Edel," the lone human said once he approached, "he apparently ran straight for England, he's calming down now with him, Johann, Scotland, and Ireland."

"Oh thank the gods, I was worried he was going to get himself hurt," Mandoria breathed out in relief, "BE, I apologize for that, he gets extremely frightened when he can't see anything, courtesy of Prussia, he doesn't mean any harm."

N:   "I know he doesn't," BE replied, "he became the way he is now because of that feathered bastard."

"But it is nice to see that he is still himself after all these years," Celtica smiled, but her smile faded when she picked up a container which has a thin layer of film over it, "what is this?"

"It's a way to extract Askad's venom," the empire explained, but he was interrupted from continuing.

"That's not happening," the Celt interjected.

"Grandma, hear me out," the empire walked up to her and took the container, "he just needs to bite into the film on the top, and assuming since he is part snake, that the venom would drip out so we could see how to find the antidote." He looked to face her, "it's the most humane way I could think of to get the venom, otherwise, how are we supposed to get it?"

M:   Mandoria and Rowen exchanged glances, the latter remembering how the naga described he was forcibly milked by the Jacobites. "I think it's really up to him," he shrugged, "sure he said he would be willing to help but it could also bring back bad memories. I saw him earlier heading to the fountain, I'll go get him."

He ran off to look for Askad, then not even ten seconds later came back with him, saying, "Turns out he was coming to talk to you about his venom anyway, how convenient."

"Yeah, convenient," Askad grumbled, still bitter from his chat with Prometheus, "anyway, as he said, it's been a little over a week so I figured I should pop by to see if you still wanted my help."

N:   "You could," BE nodded, but he gave a weary glance to the Mandorians before approaching the Eternal, "we need a sample of your venom so we can actually see its properties, so," he lifted up the jar to Askad, "you would need to bite into this film."

"We completely understand if you don't want to," Celtica quickly added, and she gave a pointed look to her grandson, "isn't that right, Albion?"

BE grumbled by being mentioned by his birth name, but he spoke, "But it is recommended if you do, for the safety of the people who may come across your venom by the Jacobites. Afterward, we can have FE check the venom, this is definitely in her field and not mine."

M:   Askad raised a brow at what BE asked him to do, he took the cup and examined it. "You're not going to force my mouth open, are you," he asked suspiciously.

"Of course not," Mandoria answered for his fellow country, "no one is even going to be near you if that's what you want, you would do it of your own free will."

Askad remained silent, looking back down at the cup, he was hesitant for sure, he knew that his venom was extremely deadly and he didn't want it to be misused or misplaced, but of course, that was the reason they were there in the first place.  With a hesitant sigh, Askad opened his mouth and extended his fangs, they didn't flip out like a normal snake, instead, they dropped from just behind his normal teeth like a vampire, though they were longer and thinner like a serpent.  He bit down on the film and closed his eyes as he injected the venom into the cup, the yellow liquid nearly overflowing it due to his larger size. When he was done he retracted his fangs and wiped his mouth, handing the cup back to BE.

"Be very careful with it," he said, unable to look the empire in the eyes, "it's a neurotoxin and can kill a human in less than an hour, and if it gets into your eyes it can cause permanent blindness if not washed out quickly. If that is all you need then I will take my leave, I need to see how the others are doing anyway, good day to you."

With that, Askad slithered away, his demeanor more deflated than before as the memories were now fresh in his mind.

N:   BE nodded and observed the yellow substance and muttered, "Well, at least I won't confuse this for water."

Celtica shook her head disapprovingly and watched as the naga slithered away, so she turned to the rest of them, "Someone has to go and cheer him up."

"Obviously I cannot," the empire answered, placing the jar in a secure cupboard where he stored dangerous substances, "I asked him to fill the jar." He remained crouched as he taped on the glass and quietly said, "It was a necessary evil."

M:   "Actually I think you should go talk to him," Mandoria said, "maybe not right now but eventually, I'm sure he understands why you need the venom but it still hurts him, like how it hurts me to have others touch my wings."

Rowen nodded in agreement, "In the meantime, I think maybe Celtica should go, you seem to be the only one these Eternals are comfortable around."

N:   The Celt nodded before glancing outside to see what time of day it is. "And I think in the meantime, you all should think about having some food. The day has already been eventful and I doubt anyone has remembered." She made her way out, the sunlight shining onto her face as she went to search for Askad.

M:   The two Mandorians nodded in agreement, but headed off to make sure Edel and Johann were ok first.

Askad knew that Prometheus was still at the fountain with Esha but he couldn't help but go back, he had this feeling in his two stomachs that his friend would be waking up soon, so he curled up by the fountain again and disappeared into his coils, hiding from the outside world so he could organize his thoughts.

N:   Prometheus gave up on sunbathing and instead summoned back his staff and was drawing images in the dirt, not really paying attention to when the Eternal arrived at the fountain. He constantly had a busy mind, but recently it had become more sorrowful than usual, and he would absentmindedly draw metal restraints, a whip, and a spear. When he became in close proximity to Askad, images came into his mind, and he drew a broken bone, a masked figure, and when he began to draw a dying Eternal when he finally snapped out of his trace and stared in horror at what he drew.

The tailor looked up at the Eternal curled up and back at the images and sighed. "Your thoughts are quite loud," he muttered before brushing his foot on the dirt, rubbing away the drawings. He thought about helping the Eternal, but he shook his head, knowing he could only when he gained his trust, so he sat back on the bench, tapping his staff on the ground as he watched Celtica coming from a distance.

As the Celt approached, she was weary of Askad so she stood a bit of a way off before saying, "Askad, if you need anyone to talk to, anyone at all, I'm here."

M:   Askad poked his head out of his coils, staring at Celtica for a bit before hiding again.

"No, there's nothing much to talk about," he sighed, "I just got some flashbacks and needed to clear my head."

It was more than that of course, the faint rattling of his tail gave that away, he just didn't know how to put his thoughts into words, nor who to tell them to.

"I don't know what to do," he muttered, his voice breaking as he was on the verge of tears, "the chief died, I'm now in command of the last surviving Eternals of our colony, but it's just too much for me. One is in stasis, one could die because of his broken legs, and the other two bicker like an old married couple and refuse to work together."

Askad finally lifted his head out of his tail and leaned his chin on it, "The survival of our species rests on my shoulders, but I couldn't even protect my daughter when she was mutilated, I just don't know what to do."

N:   Celtica quietly nodded as she listened to Askad, and when he finished she asked, "Who said that you have to bear that burden alone? The toll of carrying it is self-evident, so the best thing you can do is to share it."

She looked past the naga and gazed at Esha in the fountain, "Esha is the best person to help you, so we can only hope she gets out of stasis."

"She will," Prometheus confirmed, still on the bench, "much sooner rather than later."

M:   Askad growled when Prometheus spoke, he hated when he said that because it just got his hopes up, sure he was probably right but it still infuriated him all the same.

He sat up to put the human in his place when there was a large splash, he turned to see Esha's tail emerge from the water for a moment before going back under. The Naga sprang up and leaned over the edge of the pond, searching for any sign of movement. Suddenly, there was a yelp and another splash as Askad was dragged into the cold water, at least his top half since his tail was so long.

"SWEET MOTHER OF HYDRA TITS," Askad screamed, splashing like he forgot how to swim.

"That's what you get for dumping me in this goddamn pond," a large dragon head playfully said as she surfaced, "these fish would not shut up about who was the prettiest, I wanted to tear my ears out so bad."

N:   "Fish never stop talking," Prometheus laughed as he stood and approached the fountain, where he then leaned on his staff, "I hope you are better now."

"Esha," Celtica gasped, surprised that she recognized her voice, "is that really you?"

M:   Esha turned her head to Celtica, her eyes shifting to yellow from her surprise. She smiled awkwardly and chuckled, "Hello Celtica, this wasn't what I had in mind when people said you were coming, I was hoping I would at least be in my normal form."

"Or not drowning her fellow eternals in a goddamn fountain," Askad spat, which earned him getting his head pushed underwater and ingesting a lot of it, Esha lifted the coughing naga out of the water and plopped him on dry land.

She then gently pressed her forehead against Celtica's, "I missed you, old friend."

N:   Celtica closed her eyes, "I've missed you too," before stepping back and saying, "You've got to catch me up on everything."

Her eyes sparkled as a thought came to mind, "Prometheus," she turned to the tailor, "call Scotty over here, he needs to see her with his own two eyes."

"It shall be done, my lady," he bowed and walked away to bring the Scot.

The moment he was out of view, the Celt asked, "So how exactly do you return to your normal form?"

M:   "By thought, give me a moment," Esha said, she stepped out of the pond and walked a distance away to shake off the water so she wouldn't splash anyone.

When she was semi-dry she padded back over to the others and shifted to her normal form, though did wince a little since it hurt to do that after so long in stasis.

As she was ringing out her clothes Askad enveloped her in a large hug, "It's amazing to see you again, we all thought you were dead, why did you run away?"

Esha seemed hesitant about the hug, slightly deflating at the question, "Askad you know very well why I left, you know the laws about scarred faces."

"A law that doesn't exist anymore Esha," the naga said firmly, holding Esha's face in his hands, "those laws were eradicated along with the empire, you need to let go of those idiotic rules, they don't apply anymore."

Esha wouldn't meet Askad's eyes, she just backed away and hid her face with her wing.

N:   "You shouldn't be ashamed," Celtica spoke as she walked up to her, "A scar is a sign of strength, and none of us countryhumans know of your old laws, so that is what we see."

Just as she finished, she heard someone running towards them, and soon after a Scot showed up in their view, and he stood still when he saw Esha. Walking his way towards her, his eyes remained grey the entire time, even until he stood right in front of her.

Scotland's eyes scanned her for any obvious injuries, and when he moved her wing so he could see her face, his face lit up with pure joy. "Òrail," you're back," he smiled, his eyes returning to their usual line green, and he instantly pulled her into a hug.

M:   Esha was caught by surprise, both by the sudden hug and the fact Scotland's eyes were grey for a moment. She wasn't used to hugs, in all honesty, she didn't like people invading her personal space, but this particular hug made her tear up and wrap her arms and wings around the country.

"I'm so sorry," she sniffled, "I never meant to cause you so much pain, I can't believe I caused you to shatter, I am so so sorry, please forgive me."

N:   "Just you being alive is enough for me," Scotland smiled, hugging her tighter, as if afraid she would go again, "J-just, don't do that again, please?"

Celtica stood back as she softly smiled from a distance, happy that her son came back, when she saw Prometheus run up towards them, a towel in hand. "He ran out of the room so fast," he gasped as he caught his breath, "he was like a blur. Anyway," he held out the towel to Askad, "this is for you."

M:   Askad glared at him for a split second but wordlessly took the towel, muttering a quiet "thanks".

"I won't do it again," Esha agreed to Scotland, "or at least I won't do it without properly warning you this time, but I do pray that we don't find ourselves in that situation again."

She looked up to the others and finally noticed Prometheus, furrowing her eyes at the dark blue glow enveloping him.

"Who is that," she asked, "I can see his magical aura, is he an Eternal?"

N:   Prometheus looked over to Esha and was surprised at the observation, "So Eternals can see auras? Interesting."

With a quick twirl of his staff, he proceeded to answer her question, noticing the confused look from Scotland and Celtica, "Well, let me ask this? Do you see a flag on my face? No, you don't, so I'm not an Eternal, and I also have a nose and ears, further proving my point."

"So," Scotland asked, "what are you?"

"That is beside the point," the tailor shrugged, and he nodded at Esha, "My name is Prometheus, it's a pleasure to finally meet you, well, at least to see you out of stasis. How are those injuries going?"

M:   "Um ... they're ok," she said, slightly uncertain about this man, "it hurts to shift my form but I blame that on being in my wild form for so long, it actually takes a lot of energy to remain like that but at the same time we can't involuntarily shift back when hurt, it's confusing I know."

Then there was a loud whinny and Sleipner galloped out of the forest, slowing down so he didn't send his owner flying. His long, prehensile tongue licked Esha's face while he did a weird little dance with glee.

"Yes, I missed you too boy," Esha laughed, "I missed you too, I hope you didn't give everyone a hard time when they came to visit, were you being overprotective?"

"That's putting it lightly," Askad whispered to Prometheus, chuckling a bit.

N:   Prometheus smiled at the comment while Celtica said, "I think we all should start thinking about heading back, after all," she playfully nudged Esha, "We have something, or rather someone, to celebrate."

"You haven't eaten all this time, haven't you," Scotland questioned the Eternal, "you know what, you are not leaving the dining hall until you are completely full, follow me," and he half led, half dragged Esha back indoors.

Celtica was about to follow when she saw Prometheus stall, so she asked if he was coming. "No, no," he shook his head, "I cannot really, and besides I'm not that hungry anyway and I need to find flowers to dye my fabrics."

"Suit yourself," the Celt replied and continued to walk after her son while the tailor walked towards the woods.

M:   Askad watched as Prometheus walked away, normally he would find that suspicious and would probably follow him, but with Esha awake, it seemed to make him a little softer and less irritated with the human, so he simply left him to his own devices and went with the others.

When he caught up to them he could hear Esha trying to calm Scotland down, though with little success.

"I'm fine really," she said, chuckling in slight embarrassment, "going into stasis is just like hibernation, I don't get hungry since my vitals lower."

"Are you sure, I'm fairly certain that there are fewer fish in that fountain than there were a week ago," Askad joked, earning an annoyed grumble from the draconic entity.

N:   "I don't care," said a defiant Scotland as he dragged her towards the dining hall door, "you're going to eat, and if not, I'll drink a shot of whiskey for every minute you don't."

"Scotty," Celtica warned, "don't you dare."

"What," he shrugged when they arrived right at the door, "It's called motivation." Opening both the doors, he revealed everyone inside and called out, "Guess who's back?"

M:   Since it was basically lunchtime, everyone was in the dining room, including Neflen and Odrus, who were talking to everyone and getting caught up with the times. When Scotland burst in and announced Esha was awake the Mandorians stood up in joy.

"Welcome back Esha," Mandoria smiled, "we were all so worried about you, I'm so glad you're ok."

"Eshie," Neflen exclaimed, he and Odrus coming over to hug her, "we couldn't believe it when they said you were alive, It's great to see you again little sis."

"Nef, we're not related, and I'm older than you," Esha laughed struggling to take in so much affection, "I missed you guys too."

N:   "It is nice to see that you have finally reunited," BE spoke.

"And they have a better sibling relationship than us two," Ireland muttered, "and I'm all for it."

Wales sighed, since he sat in between his brothers so they don't get into a fight, and he put aside their bickering, "Well I can speak for everyone that we are happy you're back.

BE looked around him and said, "Speaking of everyone, I better check on Grandfather. I don't know how he's holding up ever since," and he silently nodded at Askad.

M:   Askad glowered at that and simply grunted, Esha was a bit confused so asked, "Which grandfather, and now that you mention it where are they?"

"Anglo is in London covering for Celtica so she could come here," Rowen explained, "Saxon is ... a long story, we'll tell you later, come sit down, you must be starving after a week in the fountain."

"It's been a week," Esha questioned, being led to the table, "it felt shorter than that, how is everyone doing then, I feel awful that I made Scotty shatter but I don't know if I hurt anyone else?"

N:   "Compared to Scotland," BE answered, "not as much, but it is nothing to worry about now that you're here."

"And we are not going to continue with the conversation," Scotland said while lunch was brought to them, as well as a bottle and shot glass for the Scot. Celtica looked at him disapprovingly at her son, and when he tried to take the bottle, he grabbed it right before she did. "Nay, Ma," he said firmly, "you don't have to worry about me drinking if Esha eats her food. Right, Esha?"

Celtica sighed while Ireland spoke, "Hey, Dad, may I have a shot?"

"Sure thing," the Scot answered and was about to ask for another glass but Celtica beat him to it, ordering any servant not to listen to her son.

M:   "Relax Celtica," Esha said, "a few shots never hurt anyone, though I admit that Eternals don't get drunk very easily."

"Speak for yourself, Neflen has the alcohol tolerance of a two-year-old," Odrus joked, earning a jab in the gut from the said Eternal.

Esha rolled her eyes and started tucking into her food, she wouldn't admit it was she actually was quite hungry, so no sooner than when she started she was already asking for seconds.

N:   Scotland chuckled when Esha asked for more, and everyone tucked into their food. While they did, England went over to check on Edel, who was sitting by the fire, and patted his head. "You alright there?" the country asked, sitting beside him.

M:   Edel huffed softly, not taking his eyes off the dancing flames. The meat pile next to him was basically untouched and his tail flicked every now and then from his thoughts.

Edel blew a few sparks on the shrinking fire and it roared back to life, then he sighed again and closed his one eye, a single tear falling down his cheek onto the floor, which actually caused a little sprout to appear on the tile.

N:   England was surprised at the sprout, but he ignored it as he wiped away any more tears. "You're safe here, Edel," the country reassured him, "no one is going to hurt you on my watch, ok?"

The Englishman then huddled up next to the dragon, resting his head on his neck and slowly stroking the grey fur.

M:   Edel didn't move much when England lay against him, he just shifted a little so the country was comfortable.

Esha was watching the two with confusion, wondering what was bothering the dragon.

"What happened while I was in stasis," she asked, "the dragon looks really upset, did someone hurt him?"

N:   "Edel had his head buried and stuck in the ground as he was testing out his tail fin earlier," Celtica recounted, "Prometheus was able to get him out, but I guess the pitch black darkness reminded the dragon about his time with Prussia.

"I wouldn't blame him," Johann spoke, "I wouldn't like to be reminded of that time too.

M:   Esha hummed, the more she heard about this Prussia the more she hated him.

"Who's Prussia," Neflen asked.

"An evil man who fought Mandoria to become the current King Wing," Askad explained, "no one knows what happened but somehow he survived and he and his family were held captive by him, that way everyone thought he was dead and Prussia could keep his crown."

Odrus and Neflen exchanged glances, the former looking like he finally understood something, "So that's why you only have half a spirit."

"I beg your pardon," Mandoria asked.

"Odrus has the ability to see those who have passed on," Neflen explained, "it's why he's blind as you can't see the living world and the other side at the same time."

Odrus nodded, "I can see all of you but it's your spirits I can see, you however, only have half a spirit, which means you did die and were brought back to life, and your other half is in the soul realm."

N:   Scotland blinked and asked, "So, you're telling me Mandoria is half alive and half dead?"

"How," Johann said, poking his father on the arm to test if he was there, "he's right here? How is it even possible? Wouldn't he be, I don't know, a mindless zombie then?"

"Is there an actual consequence for Mandoria coming back to life?" Celtica asked, "So far his eyes are the only thing that's an issue, but otherwise he's healing pretty well."

M:   "There are a few things," Odrus said, "one is that his magical abilities will be weaker than before, he can do simple spells like levitation or summoning small objects, but intricate spells like weather control or healing charms won't work, and when he shifts into his animal form it will be harder to maintain it. Another thing is if he dies again he can't be resurrected again, his spirit will be forced to wander the living world, constantly searching for his other half, and most time it never will."

Mandoria was silent during all of this, not knowing how to take it, but what Odrus said next hit him the hardest, "the last consequence is that his immortality has been destroyed, meaning that he will die of old age. The time when he dies is one hundred years to the day of his resurrection, so if he was resurrected three years ago, then he has 97 years left to live."

N:   Johann was also silent, refusing that what he was hearing was true, but when he heard the last bit, he snapped, "There is no way in hell that's going to happen!"

"Jo," Heinrich spoke, and he tried to sit him down but the Mandorian shook him off, "you cannot do anything. You heard him, it's a consequence of resurrection." Afterward, he added quietly, "Now he has a human lifespan."

The Mandorian looked down at him, and growled, "I swear if Prussia knew about this-"

"I doubt that," Celtica pointed out, "only Odrus could tell."

"B-but," Johann stuttered and sat back down, holding the sides of his head as he wondered out loud, "I don't want this to happen to Derogan and Mandara. Not again."

M:   "Nothing lasts forever, my son," Mandoria sighed, his voice somber and his eyes focused on his lap, "we all have to go eventually, not even the long-lived Eternals get to stay forever, I consider myself blessed that I get the option to die peacefully."

"He's right," Askad said, "we don't get to die of age, we have to leave this world violently and/or painfully, and in our culture it is considered an honor to die a peaceful death."

"No offense guys, but can we stop talking about death," Rowen murmured, "it's getting uncomfortable."

Everyone nodded in agreement, death was definitely not something to talk about at the dining table. Askad took the opportunity to say, "I wonder if BE is letting Saxon out today, I want to see how he feels about his "friend" now."

N:   While the rest were in the dining hall, BE stood in front of Saxon's cell, not sure what to feel when he saw that the entity was still asleep. He ordered a guard to enter and wake up Saxon, so the guard did, taking cautious steps towards him and shook him awake. The entity woke up with a start and immediately tackled the guard to the ground, and only when BE rushed in to get him off did he realize his mistake.

Saxon's eyes flickered around him, his alertness through the roof as he waited to jump out of the shadows. "Grandfather," BE spoke, "are you ok?"

"I-I" he stuttered, and he squeezed his eyes shut as he tried to get the memory of torture out of his head, "I will be." The moment Askad made him go to sleep, he felt as if he was rewatching a nightmare a million times. Slowly, he was led out, as BE deemed him no longer a threat, and they made their way out of the dungeon.

As they made their way to the dining hall, they walked past Prometheus, who had an array of flowers in a woven basket, but he stopped when he registered the thoughts emanating from Saxon. "Did Askad do that to you?" he inquired, and when the entity nodded, he shook his head disapprovingly and quietly muttered, "Eternals." He turned to BE and said, "My sister is coming by early next week to help Mandoria, just so you know beforehand."

BE nodded, but as the tailor passed, he asked, "Is she like you," but by then he had already turned the corner. The empire shrugged and led the entity the rest of the way and entered the hall.

M:   When the two entered Esha smiled, "Well speak of the devil, there you guys are, we were wondering where you were."

Her smile faded when she saw the disturbed look on Saxon's face, "is everything ok, what happened?"

"Justice," Askad growled, his tail beginning to rattle quietly, "isn't that right Saxon."

N:   "Justice" Saxon repeated, trying to keep his voice as steady as possible, "if that is your definition of justice, well, you're really setting the bar low, aren't you?

"Saxon," Celtica warned, "don't continue."

"Justice is that you take your revenge on the actual perpetrator," Saxon continued, ignoring the Celt, "not some person you happen to dislike. Tell me, what have you actually achieved from what you did to me? The fake sensation that you have achieved something when in fact you haven't. You got a name, amazing isn't it? Yet I don't see Chrysalis being tortured the same way I have. Tell me Askad, what have you achieved?"

M:   Askad narrowed his eyes, he set his cutlery down and slithered over to Saxon squaring up to him.

"I don't think you realize how involved you are in this," he said, his eyes narrowed, "Chrysalis was your servant, he followed your orders and did what you wanted him to do. I don't believe you had him kill my colony, but you let him off his leash and he slaughtered us. If you just kept him under control then no one would have died, and my daughter would still be alive."

He grabbed Saxon's shirt and rose higher, causing the entity to have to stand on his tiptoes, "it is all your fault, Saxon, you let your servant run rouge with no rules and he killed people who had nothing to do with your insurgency. You cause the death of my daughter, and your suffering brings justice to those whose blood is on your hands, and I will make sure that every single one of my people is avenged, and an Eternal keeps his promise."

He let go of Saxon's shirt, letting him drop to his feet again, and slithered out of the dining hall, leaving everyone pretty confused.
