"Niisan?" I asked. Ichigo just tilted her head at this.

"She's been calling me that since yesterday. Her excuse? She sees me as an older brother figure," Toshino explained.

"Ah...I see," I said.

If she sees him as a brother like figure, oh dear. Chaos is going to happen, I thought.

"So where are we going?" Ichigo asked. "Well I guess we can start with here. Just to get to know what are we looking at," I suggested.

"That's not a bad idea actually," Toshino said. "Yep yep!" Ichigo cheered.

I looked around the hallway. My hand traced the patterns of the wallpaper. They looked old and dusty but felt brand new. If that makes any sense at all, I thought sarcastically.

There wasn't much to look at. Just the wallpaper, carpet and some plant holders.

The carpet and wallpaper did look different from the ones that we have been looking at. So...is it a new installation?

"Call me crazy but I doubt it. There may be a lot of evidence pointing to this but there are some plot holes to this. However, I'm not doubting that there might have been someone, not some people but someone was here before us," she explained.

I looked at her in disbelief. That was a whole other discussion!

"I know that might make me look suspicious but think about it. Most of this stuff is brand new so if there were others here, tampering with stuff around here, then most of the things would have not been brand new. Even things that look like they were bought five minutes ago, would show signs that someone played around with it or tampered with if it had been used in that short amount of time," Ichigo explained.

"That...actually sounds smart. Maybe a group of people didn't come here before but maybe at least one person did," I said.

"That's the spirit!" Ichigo cheered.

"There could have been people here before us. Others who might have suffered the same as us...but something that Ichigo said got me thinking. There are too many things that looked too new and we haven't been here for that long so when would the mastermind have time to set this up. However, maybe that there weren't many people here as I thought. It could have been one or two," I explained.

Toshino put a finger on his chin, thinking.

"Maybe...," was all he said.

"Well it's not too far-fetched. The mastermind does seem like a tricky person. Cleaning up with a heavy scent of lemon, the new parts and the first floor getting fully opened up. And they are watching us from the cameras. They are hiding something for sure," Toshino noted.

Oh! Guess he had his own thoughts on the matter, I thought surprised.
