BEN, Silver, and I walked through the forest in a comfortable silence. I suddenly stopped in my tracks, causing BEN and Silver to stop and turn around. "Hey, (Y/N), you okay?" Silver asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. Can you guys go on ahead without me?" I asked.
"Why? Are you sure your okay? BEN inquired. "Yes, I'm sure I'm fine. So please, head back to the mansion." I answered. "Ok, make sure you come back safe." Silver said. "I will." I said as I waved.
As I walked away, I could hear BEN's protesting in the background. 'I'm a serial killer, not some helpless little girl. Geez.' I thought as I wandered aimlessly. Despite it being only somewhere in the afternoon, the forest was abnormally dark. 'Most likely the gigantic trees blocking any sunlight from coming in.' I thought.
There were numerous amount of trees covered in claw marks. 'Maybe LJ does have a thing for scratching trees. Weird.' I thought. A decent size clearing came into my view. It was a lake with rocks surrounding it. I walked over to the rocks and sat on one of them. I stared blankly into the lake, looking at my mask.
I brought my hand up and delicately touched the mask on the cheek. I brought it up slightly farther, close to the eye. A crack was around the eye, making it look like it had a scar. 'Must've been when Zero stepped on it.' I thought as I gently touched the crack.
I reached for the chin of my mask and took it off on a swift motion. My (H/C) hair gently swayed in the breeze and finally fell down back to its normal position. I held up the mask and gazed at it. I tightened my grip around the mask, but not enough to harm it. I sighed and placed it on my lap.
I peered at the reflection of my face in the still lake. (S/C) skin, dull (E/C) eyes, and (L/C) lips. No amazing features that stand out. Just a regular person, useless person, helpless person. A truly horrific and ugly person. One deserving of punishment, of humiliation, of torture. Just a person made for others sick enjoyment.
Backflash...
"Mommy! Mommy!" I yelled as I ran down the stairs. "How many times do I have to tell you?! You'll hurt yourself if you do that!" Mom scolded. "Yes, Mommy." I whimpered as I looked down and twiddled my thumbs. Mom sighed and picked me up. She carried me in one arm and started to tickle me with the other. "Ahahahaha! Stop it! It tickles!" I wheezed and gasped out while laughing. Mom laughed at me and stopped tickling me.
She set me back down on my feet. "How about you go find your Dad and play with him. I got some cleaning to do." Mom said. "Ok, Mommy!" I giddily replied and skipped past her to go find Dad. Mom chuckled, "So energetic, wonder where she gets it from.".
I skipped around the house, trying to find any sign of my Dad's presence. "Daddy?! Where are you?!" I yelled as I looked for him. I walked up to the Dad's office room door. I gently knocked on the door. "Come in!" a deep but soothing voice said from the other side.
I got on my tiptoes and turned the doorknob. "Dad?" I asked as I popped my head into the room. Dad was sitting at his desk in front of a brightly lit computer. "Hey, sweetie, what brings you here?" he asked me. I smiled and ran up to him. He laughed and sat me in his lap. "Hey, Dad, I'm bored, let's go somewhere." I whined.
"You know Mommy and Daddy are tight on money right now. We can't afford it." he said as he furrowed his eyebrows. "Then I'll pay for it! I've been saving up my money! I think I have," I looked at my fingers and started counting, "Three dollars!" I cheered as I held up three fingers in my Dad's face. He chortled and spun me around so I was facing him. I put out me bottom lip and pouted. "Don't make that face, you know I can't resist it." he said. I lifted my face up and brought out my secret weapon, the puppy dog eyes. We had what seemed like an eternal staring contest.
In the end, he gave up and grumbled. "Fine, fine. Go to the door and get your shoes on while I go get your mother." he sighed. "Yay!" I hurrahed. I hopped off of my Dad's lap and skipped to the front door, Dad following behind.
When I got to the door, I searched for my shoes. They were messily laid on top of the other shoes. I snatched them and tried to tug them on. Faint arguing could be head from the living room. I ignored it and kept trying to put on my left shoe.
Mom and Dad came up from behind me. "You having trouble there?" Dad asked. "N-No! Not at all! I can put on my shoes. I'm a big girl!" I said as I desperately tried putting on the shoe. "Are you sure about that? After all, that's the right shoe." Dad said as he crouched down in front of me.
I blinked and looked at me feet. He was right. I was trying to put my right shoe on my left foot. I blushed and threw the shoe.
Mom and Dad laughed. Dad took the left shoe and undid the velcro. He softly took my foot and placed the shoe on it. He fastened the velcro and did the same with the right side.
"Ready to go?" Mom asked. I muttered under my breath and put my knees up to the face. "Well, if you don't want to go, I guess we won't get ice cream." Dad said. I shot my head up. "Ice cream?!" I yelled. Dad grinned at me and picked me up. I chanted ice cream as we all left the house.
Dad parked the car in front of the ice cream store. I quickly unbuckled and opened the door. Mom walked over to me and picked me up. Mom, Dad, and I walked into the cold ice cream store. I shivered slightly.
Mom leaned over the counters so I could see the wide variety of ice cream. "Which do you want?" Mom asked. "Hmm...I want (F/F)." I said. The worker behind the counter nodded and grabbed a cup to scoop it in. After we all got our ice cream, Dad handed the employee the money.
We all sat down at a table and ate our ice cream. After we finished the ice cream, we threw away our trash and left. The stars twinkled above and the moon shone brightly on the almost desolate parking lot. We walked to the car. It was then that everything went to Hell.
A burly man dressed in all black appeared in front of us. He pulled out a gun. "Give me everything you got." the man ordered. Dad pushed Mom and I behind him. "Look, I don't want anyone to get hurt. So just put down the gun an-" before Dad could finish, the man pulled the trigger.
Dad clutched his chest and dropped to his knees. "D-Daddy?" I whimpered. "Daddy! Daddy!" I screamed as I tried to grab onto him. Mom held me back, tears streaming down her face in waterfalls. Her mouth was agape. The way she moved her mouth made her resemble a fish out of water.
The man had already fled. Loud high-pitched wails of police cars surrounded us. Red and blue colors flashed and hurt my eyes. I closed my eyes and rubbed them. 'Maybe it's all a dream. Maybe this is all fake.' I thought. But when I opened my eyes, I realized that this wasn't a dream, it was real, this nightmare I had just witnessed has all real.
"It's all your fault." Mom whispered. "M-Mommy? Mommy, are you okay? Mommy, why isn't Dad waking up? Mommy, your scaring me." I said. "It's all your fault." she said louder as she glared at me through bloodshot eyes. "M-Mommy?" I sniveled. "It's all your fault! If you weren't such a spoiled rotten brat this would've never happened! This is all your fault!" she screeched.
Her words echoed throughout my head. My body froze stiff. The hairs on the back of my neck rose to attention. My hands became clammy.
All your fault. All your fault. All your fault. All your fault. All your fault. All your fault. All your fault.
Current time...
I glared at the water. I punched the rock I was sitting on and gave a long, exasperated cry. I coughed until I was able to regain my breath. I rubbed my throat. I put my mask back on. 'Guess I should go back now.' I thought. I slid off the rock.
Rustle. Rustle.
"Wha-" before I could finish dark red splattered my face. I fell backwards and held my stomach tightly. Warm blood covered my hand. My vision faded in and out as my body became cold. My breathing became ragged and short. 'Is this how I die?' I thought before I passed out.
You thought this was gonna be a light, happy, fluffy, chapter, didn't ya? But, HA! I thought some backstory was much needed. I'm getting tired so here you go. Bye-bee!
